This was a great ending to the series! The bombshell that was dropped at the end of book three gets taken care of and there are some happy reunions. I’m also happy that Johnson is more in the story and although we never learn if her and Rogers become an item I’m hoping they did. Kylie and Callahan finally get their HEA, but before you get there you’ll need some tissues. I would definitely recommend this series to a friend.

❤️❤️🤗Way beyond my expectations!

Callahan and Kylie had just learned bad news that called their goals into question.

Kylie felt betrayed.
How was she going to eliminate her worst enemy now?...

*********

A final volume well beyond my expectations, rich in twists and turns and endings.

I loved the interactions between the characters.

I felt completely connected to this post-apocalyptic survivalist dystopia, full of diverse and varied feelings, beautiful human values and a certain wisdom.

The ending lives up to the whole series: exceptional in my eyes!

I highly recommend this absolute “must read”.
A big THANK YOU to the author for writing it!🥰

In order to get the proof she needs to finally get justice for her murdered family, Kylie is forced to return to the very house where everything went bad. With her squad at her back, she faces the memories of that man that haunted her family before and after the bombs drop, a danger to her even now. Determined to do her part until she can get her revenge, her squad, and the number two and three squad, gear up to attack a raider compound of 300 that hold the women in an old prison. But will any of it be enough to bring the world back to how it should be? Will Kylie ever get her fairytale ending?

The plotline for this series was incredibly well laid out. From the 1st book, readers didn't know much about what Kylie wanted or how her family had died. Sure, she was angry and wanted to kill people to protect the weak, but not a specific form of revenge. The focus isn't revealed until well into book 3, and it's only by looking back that you really see the foreshadowing to something bigger.

I think the way that Miller developed the relationship between Kylie and Cal was extremely smooth. The lines of the relationship were laid out, just like they were with roles in the squad. The way the characters interacted didn't change when they became a couple, it just altered a bit. But Kylie didn't suddenly try and influence his decisions, and he didn't start protecting her when she didn't need his help.

I most definitely want a spinoff book that has the endings for each of the boys. Miller provides an epilogue of sorts for Kylie and Cal, but none of the rest of the boys. I'm invested in all of the characters because of how well they were written.
