Reece and Rebecca Hayne's lives are dominated by a list. A list that Rebecca's late brother wrote when he was eleven years old. A list of dreams never realised.
The last goal, a road trip, threatens to be their undoing. Can Rebecca moved forward from her past and will Reece finally understood her point of view? As their road trip culminates in the Scottish Highlands, will they be heading home together or facing their future alone?
An emotional and uplifting dual-perspective novel about love, loss and hope.

An emotional rollercoaster of a ride, it was compelling and intriguing to read. You could completely feel the emotions bubbling up between the characters, and it drew you in to the story. Rebecca is struggling with her anxiety and it’s an honest story about how she deals with her feelings. Reece is pulled along, his love for Rebecca shines through and I really liked his efforts to reach out to her, knowing that their relationship was tipping on an edge. Beautifully written, I was absolutely engrossed in the story.
The List, stylishly writen in dual perspective of the protagonists Rebecca and Recce lays bare the raw and occasionally vicseral damage trauma visits not only on the victim but those who love and live with them. This is not a tear jerker, although you will weep, it is a truely insightfull view of human emotions and the human condition; it could in my opinion comapre favourably with the work of the Late Helen Dunbar and Anita Diamant.
At 1st Rebecca kind of annoyed me. Expecting Reece to feel as she felt and to expect him to be right with her. But thinking back to being a newlywed, yeah we do expect a lot from our new other halves. Then we grow into things & take on their perspectives and it dawns on us it’s not that easy. This was a list she wanted to follow and finish as a promise. To herself and her late brother. Reece went along and at times, I felt correctly, he felt lost & dragged by her. As they get to know each other more and we get to know them, we see all sides. The story flowed nicely and I felt for them both. It had a good feel to it inbetween the ups & downs. For a heartfelt and meaningful read this should be your next choice. Very good.
Beautifully written story about Rebecca and Reece, her brother died four years ago and she wants to complete the list that he left. The journey is emotional and difficult for them both but as the story unfolds we begin to understand the reasons why. Emotional, gripping and touching read.
