I was so excited for Miley's story! She is an operative for Cerberus, and she gets called in to protect Damon, Dom and billionaire, in Charleston. Miley and Damon scened together in London when Miley left without a trace. Damon is shocked and thrilled to see Miley walk through his door 18 months later. Damon's ex-fiance is stalking him and kills one of his own. Miley and Damon take her down while being able to blossom their growing attraction to each other. Damon always made Miley feel safe and brave, and she was able to let down the walls around her heart. I loved how someone so strong can still submit to someone that protects and believes in them everyday.

The story is the fourth in the Club of Southside series and is a spinoff from some of the other books that will include several main characters that revolve around the Baker Street BDSM club. The Southside Club is an American version of Baker Street in London, including a Cerberus office. Miley Stuart is one of the team members, a sniper, and one of the best. When Miley enters a BDSM club, she is a submissive—it is a way for her to allow herself to let go. But even at that, it is on her terms.

Damon Knox is a billionaire and owns his own BDSM club in Charleston, South Carolina, The Carriage House. He has been involved with a woman, Francesca ‘Frannie’ Acosta, but broke off the engagement. She lead Damon to believe she is submissive and into BDSM, but it was all a lie—and it is a huge part of his lifestyle. After calling off the wedding, and now he has had several incidences, including an attempt on his life, and trying to burn down his club. That is why he is employing Cerberus to protect him, and hopefully to capture Frannie.
The story’s plot will have Fitz making a bet with Miley and forcing her hand on an assignment. What a surprise to walk into the room, and realize that she had been had. The protectee is none other than the Dom she scened with anonymously at Baker Street eighteen months ago. Now, she must accept the assignment as a close-cover operative, act as his fiancée and submissive, and protect him from an ex. They will also be working under a D/s contract where they mutually agree to the terms.
The chemistry between Damon and Miley was present at Baker Street and may be why she left early. She hasn’t been with a Dom since, and she hasn’t forgotten their encounter. When Damon disciplines her, she accepts his authority as a Dom, but when it comes to her job, of keeping him safe, she insists he must acknowledge that it is her job, and accept her orders.
The story has the good, the bad, and the evil of people. I love Miley and Damon together and it was so fun seeing them interact and traverse the murky waters between protector and protectee when out, and Dom and sub when in private. Frannie is a definite wackadoodle and dangerous—but she is evil like her father. Seeing how Miley and Damon work together during a crisis added to just how well they are suited. The story has plenty of action and life-and-death moments. The story does not end on a cliffhanger, it does have a segue that will set up the next story in the series.

Delta James is a favorite author. This was not one of my favorite books, though it was difficult to pinpoint why. Damon was obsessed with finding a mystery woman he met 18 months ago. But not so obsessed that he didn’t find himself ‘trapped’, oops, ‘engaged’ to Frannie. Ending that had begun to cause him some dangerous problems. The female lead is Miley another obsessive character determined to show she’s better than all the guys. Talk about a chip! Put Miley and Damon in the same room—-Yikes! Butting heads. Tiresome. I did like the book but not as much as her others. It WAS worth reading. As are all her books!

Miley’s story!
I really enjoyed this book. Damon is the perfect match for Miley. The edge of your seat suspense was great and it was really hard to tear myself away. There were laughs and emotion and lots of action and suspense. It’s a pretty quick read and a great addition to the Club Southside series. This book is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone.

Omg. Loved!! Exciting story with fantastic character interaction. Some drama and suspense to keep the story interesting. Fast paced storyline. Banter was enjoyable between characters. Steamy scenes were smoking hot. Definitely recommend!!!

Great series - this is book 5 - I have read a couple in this series and 1 is just as good as another, doesn't seem necessary to read the books in order. Club Southside is a private BDSM club also serving as the headquarters for the covert group Cerberus. Miley is the best sniper employed by Cerberus, with a past she is trying to reconcile. Damon, a Dom, owns the new location of Club Southside. Damon is trying to help Miley to reconcile. Hot story

Damon is part of the elite in Charleston. Miley is a Cerberus sniper. They meet at a lifestyle club in London, and then again when Cerberus is hired to protect Damon from his crazed former fiancé. As part of their cover they agree to a D/s relationship and ultimately fall in love. I would have enjoyed this book more if there was more to the mystery, more to the story line, and possibly more to their relationship. As this is the first book I have read in this series, I may have enjoyed it more had I read the prior books in the series (there's indication that it can be read as a stand alone). This was not my favorite of any of the delta James books but especially of the Sour side series. It does contain a bad ass strong willed very capable supper shooter who workers for Ceberus and a very handsome ex special forces billionaire who is being chased by a crazy ex-fiance. The plot line was there the action was there, I just felt less or something was missing, maybe there was not enough character development, why she felt so vulnerable, what happened in her early childhood, by was he exterained from his family, Delta James is usually very good about this kind of thing.
I still enjoyed this book and found it a very fast read.

ex-mafia princess, a crack-shot alpha female operative, and a Dom who was not over
controlling. I liked how Damon acknowledged Miley’s intelligence and skills while
still remaining in charge. I truly admired Miley and her transformation throughout
the book . She was fierce, feisty, and lethal but craved peace through a D/S relationship. The more battles they faced together made them stronger and heroes in my eyes.
Miley was set up by her boss ( Fitzwallace ) to protect Damon from Frannie, his crazy
ex. Initially, Miley was not happy with Fitz especially when she recognized Damon as

Simply wonderful addition to this series, fifth book is a simply spectacular read you’ll love
This is the fifth book in the wonderful Club Southside Series and I have enjoyed every single one of the books and I love this book with the same enjoyment as the previous books and I am sure that other readers will feel exactly the same. Damon and Miley is action packed and also has some very dangerous moments with a Mafia Princess who is a crack shot operative that can take out any opposition at any distance, she never misses.
Damon is acceptable of the lifestyle that this female has lived her experience and the fact that Miley is more than capable of defending herself and anyone else she cares about, she also will take out anyone that threatens hers and anyone she cares for and she never gives up.
Miley had been set up by her boss Fitzwallace to protect Damon from Frannie, his crazy ex and initially Miley had not been too happy with this by was able to see that he was genuinely concerned and she had a number of trust issues and had not had many intimate attachments as her need for peace had craved peace and the more battles, they faced together the stronger their relationship grew.
Damon who is the owner of the Carriage House in Charleston had a very exclusive lifestyle club and Damon was very surprised when Miley had arrived to protect him it had not been at all expected. This is book five in The Club Southside series and it is Damon and Miley’s story. Miley and Damon have history together because eighteen months ago they had an explosive evening together. Miley is a operative for Cerberus and also the best sniper so when Damon’s ex starts stalking him and someone gets severely injured he decides that he needs help so he asks Cerberus to send someone that can deal with the situation and that is when Miley arrives. Damon is a dom and eighteen months ago did a scene with a woman that was so intense and he also connected to her in a strong way and he never forgot about her so imagine his shock and surprise when Miley walks in and says that she is his protection and even though he doubts she can do what is needed she surprises him and shows him just how perfect she is for the job of protecting him. The attraction, chemistry and connection between Damon and Miley is still as strong as ever but a job needs to be done and she can’t afford any distractions but then Miley finds herself in the crossfire of Damon’s crazy ex so they will have to put there differences aside and work together so that they can eliminate the threat and bring his ex to justice for everything that she has done. There are twists and turns along the way that will have you turning the pages of this dangerous and suspenseful story which will also have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next and if Damon and Miley will manage to complete what needs to be done and come out of it alive so that it will eventually give them a chance to be together and hopefully get the future that they both want and deserve. I really enjoyed this story so much and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

They initially met at Baker Street where they had an anonymous scene together 18 months ago which neither has forgotten. After Damon's ex-fiancee (Frannie, a psycho mafia princess) started a fire in his club in the middle of the night, he called Fitzwallace for help. Fitz asks Miley to be an undercover operative to protect Damon and hand over Frannie to the feds. Once Damon sees her in his office he recognizes her and she recognises his voice. She throws a bit of a hissy fit but agrees to protect him. They have a formal D/s contract while she pretends to be his girlfriend. After being attacked by Frannie's father's men, they decide to go on the offensive and plan an attack on her remote cabin. Frannie escapes during the fighting and pulls a Thelma & Louise. Damon and Miley go to her father's estate to tell him about Frannie and he takes them hostage. The rest of their team rescues them and after a brief hospital stay Miley agrees to marry Damon and they get their HEA.

Off to Charlotte and The Carriage House! Delta takes us on an adventure with swoonworthy multimillionaire (almost billionaire) Damon, and his mystery sub, and bad a$$ protection specialist Miley, as they try to get the bead on his ex fiancé Franki before she actually hurts someone with her craziness. Her series are top notch with fabulous, personable, real characters and incredible settings and details. The story lines themselves are engaging and enthralling? I am always left wanting to know more about the couples I have come to know so well through her pages, and hoping for glimpses of them in future books. I like this author and I have liked other books in this series, but this wasn't my favorite. I can't really pinpoint the issue however I think it had something to do with Miley's sudden change of heart. I always think it's silly when someone in the couple is dead set against a relationship then suddenly changes their mind. In this case, it is Miley who is determined not to have a relationship with Damon then decides she's all in on a future with him. She's a submissive but also a skilled sniper who works for Cerberus. Damon is the client she needs to protect and also a Dom who she had a scene with once. He's dead set on being her Dom and they have to create a fake D/s relationship for their cover while she's protecting him. A lot of this didn't make sense because I don't understand how she can work with Doms who treat her like a submissive and also be a respected member of the team. She makes comments about submitting to him in front of the team while she's leading them. Something about that just didn't feel authentic.
The relationship between Damon and Miley felt like it was more surface level only. Something was missing and I can't pinpoint what that was. At times she went from aggressive to submissive so fast I could barely follow her. There was a threat throughout the story and it drove the story instead of their relationship. Overall, it was disappointing and felt like a departure from other books in this series.

This is a very fast paced story that is full of passion, intrigue and danger. While it is part of series, it definitely can be read on its own. And if this is the first book in this series that you are reading, I am confident you will go back and read the others. This is a great addition to a very good series.

'The Keeper' is the fifth book in Delta James' "Club Southside" series. What a storyline this one turned out to be. Fitzwallace had set up an anonymous scene between Damon, friend, Dom, and former comrade in arms, with Miley, the sniper on the Cerberus team and submissive. They were the perfect match for each other. Everything was done under contract with no personal interaction but the chemistry was so strong Miley pulled an escape and left the club while Damon was otherwise occupied. Eighteen months later Damon is attacked and the first person he called was Fitz. Since Damon owns the Carriage House, a BDSM club in Charleston, it made sense for Miley to be assigned the case as his sub. The plan was to draw out Damon's ex so she could be taken out and handed over to the Feds. Damon has concluded Miley is it for him and he wants more from her than just a D/s contract during the op. Miley is adamant they are just playing roles and once the op is finished they will be back to their normal lives. Can Damon convince her to let down her guard and submit? It's a wild, bumpy road these two travel but so intriguing. I loved it.

This is book five in Club Southside & Damon/Miley's story. Damon's appeared in other stories & was a bit of a mystery. Miley is definitely an alpha while on duty and is submissive off duty. She needs someone who can allow her to be tough and in charge and take care of her when she needs it. That's hard for any male but Damon is one of a kind. The chemistry is off the charts from the time they meet in Britain until they are reunited in Charleston. The nugget about Cerberus opening an office in Charleston is dropped really early. The action flows and is quite believable & within that, the romance is allowed to blossom. Miley works through her issues & realizes she can have everything. Damon gets help dealing with an ex, reunites with the mystery women who he's been pinning for, and able to sleep at night knowing his love is safe. It's about time a top-notch alpha woman who isn't a wimp outside of work story is written and the author didn't disappoint.

The Keeper is book 5 in the Club Southside series. It is a steamy, instalove, bdsm and protector romantic suspense story. Club Southside is a local BDSM club. Damon is a hunky billionaire businessman and a Dom who is being stalked by his crazy ex. Miley is a sassy, savvy sniper who works for Cerebrus and is a sub in her personal life. When she is assigned to be Damon's bodyguard, they realize they scened together about 18 months ago in a club and had a connection. While Miley is a sub sexually, she is dominant in her job as a protector. Can her and Damon work together and accept their opposing roles and power exchanges both personally and professionally? Can she keep him safe? The chemistry between these two was insanely hot. And Miley is such a badass. I just loved her. This book had it all, drama, suspense, love, and steamy sex. We get a happy ending for this couple after the drama. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I’ve been waiting for Miley’s book for a bit now. I adore that snarky sniper. The fact that she does everything the rest of the guys do and then some, just makes her an inspiration, even if she is fictional. Damon now owns the Carriage House in Charleston, SC. The place is like Baker Street in London that Fitz and JJ run. He not only runs and enjoys the BDSM lifestyle but owns the Carriage House as well as running his company, Knox Industries. His assistant for the company is Georgina and she is amazing. He just needs someone like her for the Carriage House. One night after everyone leaves CH, he is still there late at night when he hears something. His former fiancée, Frannie Acosta is a mega problem, especially since she is crazy and her dad is powerful crime boss, that lets her run rampant. So, needing help, he calls on Fitz and Cerberus. That brings Miley online as the perfect bodyguard. However, there are a lot of reveals and revelations in the book and it is awesome! Totally action packed and steamy. The book runs the gamut of emotions from laughing at what Miley says to Damon and how he and Fitz reacts. To my stomach hurting and chewing on my nails in worry for the mayhem parts. The book is steamy and I needed my AC on and I found myself rooting for them as a couple. I cried a few times too. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Miley is an incredibly skilled sniper and field operative for Cerberus, so when Fitz asks her to lead a protection assignment in Charleston SC she isn’t suspecting to find the Dom she ran out on 18 months ago. I enjoyed seeing Damon and Miley try to gain the upper hand in negotiating their D/s contract while Miley is leading his security team and providing close cover to protect him from his crazy ex-fiancé.
This storyline moves at a fast pace and has a strong suspenseful and action element interspersed with some bantering, humor, and steamy moments. I loved that Damon appreciated Miley’s skill and talent as a field agent, finding her super sexy in action.
The connection between Damon and Miley is intense, but Damon has his work cut out for him to convince Miley she wants everything he wants to give her.

In true Delta James style yet another truly swoonworthy couple and brilliant read. Fantastic characters from the major leads of Knox and Miley to the supporting crew of Brock, Seth, Fitz and company. Love the sexual tensions, angst and the sense of comfort around the whole Dom/sub relationships. Defintely a good level of 'heated' moments for the lead couple and the whole sense of unity and family that comes along with the Cerberus connections is a definite winner in my books.
Enough mystery in the plot to keep the action and adrenaline going and love the little quirky bits that demonstrates a historical connection, that is in with reference to the secret stairs in the wine cellar. I know that no matter what I will always walk away from Delta's stories with a sense of pure content from traversing through her sensuous world of storytelling.

I’ve yet to be disappointed with this series and this is another brilliant addition that simply knocked my socks off. The best part about this instalment was that it was about one of the only female members of the Cerberus team and, dare I say, was even steamier than the previous novels. Miley was an amazing character; she’s dangerous, lethal and fiercely independent, yet there’s a vulnerability to her that she hides beneath a prickly facade. After a brief encounter in London, she’s reunited with Damon, a man who left an indelible impression. Now responsible for his safety, their clashes of will are epic. As they battle their common enemy, Miley faces a life-changing decision as Damon slowly breaks down her walls and demands her total submission. As usual, there is plenty of action to drive the story along, and enough spice to make you squirm.

Another excellent story in the life of the people of Cerberus. The storyline was unique. I loved the two main characters Damon and Miley. Especially Miley. She is strong yet vulnerable and it didn't take Damon long to figure her out. It took quite a bit to get her to admit her feelings but that was also fun to read.
