The final betrayal was enough to break us.When I learn of the secrets he’s been keeping for two decades from a source other than him, I’m devastated. I don’t know how I’ll ever trust him again. But I’m keeping a secret of my own. One he deserves to know.I thought the final score ended in a tie where we both lost, but maybe there’s hope to put a little more time on the clock.FINAL SCORE is the final book in the VEGAS THE COACH series. This series must be read in order.
Lisa Suzanne is an Amazon Top Ten Bestselling author of swoon-worthy superstar heroes, emotional roller coasters, and all the angst. She resides in Arizona with her husband and two kids. When she's not chasing her kids, she can be found working on her latest romance book or watching reruns of Friends.
Final Score is the last book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series. And like the other four books it was super enjoyable and fun to read.
Lincoln's mother lives with him after she separates from his father. And she eventually goes back to the farm because she was happy there. I love how their bond changes and evolves in this book.
Jolene is still pissed at Lincoln. She cannot forgive him for keeping that secret from her. But after the car crash she is the one carrying a secret from him. And man I love Sam. I love how Sam calls her out on it. And not once, but everytime.
And when they meet and are together in the same room again. Everything comes to the surface and I love how much they care for the other person. I love Linc's love for Jonah. And when they are a team again, things settle down and good things happen to them.
I love how sweet and loving this book was.
I also liked the change between Lincoln and his father. SPOILER ALERT IN THE NEXT SENTENCE: I do hope his mother did choose herself in the end, and didn't get back together with her husband. But the overall storyline within the Nash family was beautifully worked out.
This was such a great series and I am very happy I read it. 5 stars for this beautiful last book in The Coach series!
Final Score, book 5 of the series Vegas Aces: The Coach by #LisaSuzanne @authorlisasuzanne. Lisa is one of my favorite authors & I am SO excited to for this new series! This book is the conclusion of this story! 🥰
I received this #ARCBook early and for my honest review. First off, I am a massive fan of Lisa’s & this book was no different!
Seriously I don't know how Lisa does it, but every series is my favorite…until the next one! 😂 I loved Jolene & Linc so much. Seriously, though pick up this series & binge it ASAP!
What to Expect: - Sports Romance - NFL Head Coach MMC - Childhood/Teenage Lovers - Forced Proximity - Forbidden Romance - Single Mom - Family Rivalry - Second Chance - Secret Relationship - Surprise Pregnancy
Final Score is the final book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series. After the cliffhanger in book four, I was excited to see how things would ultimately turn out for Jolene and Lincoln. I honestly was not sure if their relationship would survive the fallout. Their rollercoaster romance was full of ups and downs, damaging secrets, and family drama. Jolene and Lincoln worked hard to earn their happy ending but faced many challenges that threatened to end it all. Jolene had a difficult time coming to terms with Lincoln's big secret, and forgiving him was not something she was willing to do. She felt betrayed, brokenhearted, and unsure she could trust him anymore.
After the accident, Jolene finds out some big news and is now keeping a secret of her own. Lincoln did not give up on Jolene and did everything he could to prove they were meant to be. When they finally found their way back to each other and shared everything, it was clear they still cared deeply for each other. I loved that they could see their relationship was still worth fighting for. The relationships, especially between Lincoln, his family, and Jolene, evolve beautifully, demonstrating growth and the power of reconciliation. I really enjoyed this series, and I'm glad everyone found peace and happiness.
Narration: Samantha Brentmoor and Aaron Shedlock were outstanding throughout the entire series. I loved how well they embodied the characters and brought so much emotion to their performances. Samantha and Aaron really brought these characters to life and elevated my experience with this story.
Thanks to Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR for providing a gifted audiobook. Opinions expressed are my own.
Final Score was the perfect ending to the Vegas Aces: The Coach series. Jolene and Lincoln’s relationship was messy, full of trust issues and family drama, but their love for each other shone through.
I loved seeing Lincoln’s bond with his mom grow, and Sam was the real MVP—always keeping Jolene in check. The tension and chemistry between Jolene and Lincoln made it impossible to put down, and Lincoln’s sweet relationship with Jonah made me root for them even more.
This was a heartfelt, emotional read about forgiveness, second chances, and love. A perfect finale to the series!
The audiobook narration by Aaron Shedlock and Samantha Brentmoor truly enhanced the experience. Aaron’s performance captured Lincoln’s strength and inner conflict, while Samantha’s delivery perfectly reflected Jolene’s heartbreak and determination.
Their chemistry and emotional depth made the characters feel real, adding another layer to the story. I’ve loved their work throughout the series, and they made this final book even more impactful.
"Final Score" delivered a sweet resolution for Linc and Jo, granting them the happiness they deserved. However, as much as I adore the Aces, the series' formulaic nature has become a bit too predictable. Especially here where I felt there was a lack of significant character growth from the first book to the fifth, leaving me wanting more depth. Again, the characters were bale to get together and have a beautiful ending but it was very similar to Cooper's story before this, and all the others before that. I think Travis felt the most unique of the bunch (sorry I am going on a tangent but you get it).
Additionally, the antagonists seemed to face fewer consequences than anticipated, leaving loose ends that were rather unsatisfying for readers. While I'll miss the Aces, I'm ready for Lisa to explore new territories, perhaps revisiting the rockstar realm or embarking on a completely different storytelling journey. It's time to expand horizons beyond the familiar!

Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Narrators: Aaron Shedlock | Samantha Brentmoor
Lisa Suzanne’s Final Score, the concluding book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series, delivers an intense culmination of emotions, secrets, and second chances. Rooted in the beloved enemies-to-lovers trope, the story delves deep into the complexities of a pro football romance, offering a narrative rich with passion, heartbreak, and redemption.
This instalment picks up on the emotional wreckage left by long-buried secrets that finally come to light. Jolene’s journey through betrayal and the struggle to rebuild trust is raw and relatable, as Lisa Suzanne masterfully explores themes of forgiveness and vulnerability. The narrative’s emotional weight is balanced by the undercurrent of hope—a hallmark of second-chance romance—that suggests even the most fractured relationships can mend with effort and love.
The addition of a secret on Jolene’s side creates a compelling dynamic, layering the tension with a moral question about honesty in relationships. Lisa Suzanne’s writing here feels sharp and poignant, ensuring that readers are fully invested in whether the characters can overcome their past and find peace together.
The sports setting—anchored by the high-stakes world of pro football—provides a vibrant backdrop. Lisa Suzanne integrates the pressures and complexities of this environment seamlessly into the story, enriching the narrative with authenticity. Football fans will appreciate the immersive details, but the romance remains the star of the show.
Narrators Aaron Shedlock and Samantha Brentmoor elevate the experience with their performance. Aaron Shedlock brings depth and intensity to his portrayal, capturing the turmoil and strength of Lincoln. Samantha Brentmoor, on the other hand, shines with a nuanced delivery that conveys both heartbreak and resilience. Together, their voices complement the emotional beats of the story, making the audio version a compelling choice for fans of the series.
Final Score is a satisfying conclusion to the Vegas Aces: The Coach series. While it’s not without moments of frustration as characters grapple with their flaws and choices, these elements enhance the realism and emotional resonance. It’s a fitting end for a series that has always been about finding love amidst life’s messiest challenges. Those who’ve followed the series will find themselves cheering for this couple’s final attempt to rewrite their ending.
What an incredible performance of the Final Score (Vegas Aces: The Coach Book 5) audiobook, by Samantha Brentmoor and Aaron Shedlock!
This has been one whirlwind of a series as Lincoln Nash and Jolene Bailey navigated through Family Rivalry and every single obstacle since they were teens just to arrive at this moment… their Happily Ever After!
—————————🏈🎙️🎧🏈————————-
“It might have started out as a bitter Rivalry, But the Final Score is looking pretty sweet as Lincoln Nash and I can finally face the world together!
—————————🏈🎙️🏈—————————
The story as usual pretty much picked up right where it left off and lord I couldn’t wait to find out what Jolene was about to do with this secret of her own and just how devastated Lincoln must be when he comes to terms with just how horrible his father really is and how he plans on getting back Jolene! This man treated Lincoln horribly for 36yrs! And now Lincoln has had enough. But there’s so much happening but one thing for sure Lincoln refuses to give up Jolene this time around he wants her and her son in his life and he will stop at nothing to make it happen !
This final series also showcases Lincoln vulnerabilities surrounding his father. It showcases how bad a father this man truly is and it left Lincoln with so many mind spiraling questions— one especially about his parentage..
But as Linc and Jolene realized that they could not be without each other anymore, it was high time they came together after all their wasted years to finally have the life they dream of and to have it come full circle especially with the little secret Jolene has …its definitely rewarding listening to them and knowing that they finally are getting their crap together!
But all on I Loved this entire series, it was well worth listening to with these two masterful Narrators who sold the story of how Lincoln and Jolene overcome family rivalry to finding their way back to each other despite the many many Obstacles! And let me just say Samantha Brentmoor male voice…helloooo wink wink so good.
Yes definitely recommend this audiobook series !

Final Scorethe finale to author Lisa Suzanne’s seriesVegas Aces: The Coachis here to deliver the conclusion to Lincoln and Jolene’s story once and for all.
With no time having past since book 4Overtimecliffhanger, Lisa had jumping right back in with Lincoln and Jolene final journey. DespiteFinal Scorebeing the finale, that didn’t mean there wasn’t going to be drama, angst, tension and growing suspense with secrets being kept still and then spilled. Particularly from some twists that came out of the woodworks surprisingly, making for an intense ride.
Not only had Lincoln and Jolene’s journey have them venturing on a long and winded road, considering where they started in book oneRivalry. It led to a journey that was made up on mending broken relations as well as reconnecting, with everything out in the open, the good, the bad and the ugly. Ultimately resulting in Lincoln and Jolene reaffirming and reestablishing their relationship amongst ones with family and friends too. Due to all of the fixing and bonding Lisa delivered an emotionally charged whirlwind, all from different moments calling for different feelings being expressed throughout.
WhilstFinal Scorewas a good and enjoyable read, and wrapped everything up with all the loose ends, from giving us all the answers to the questions asked throughout. Unfortunately there were some things that had me not so keen on. The first being the series feeling a little too long for the length that it was, IMO it could’ve been comprised into 3 books, possibly even 4 books, as opposed to five given how it seemed to drag out unnecessary. Another was some of the loose ends seemed to be rushed with how quickly it was tied up, as if only done this way for the sake of giving answers, like in regards to Rivera. Also there didn’t always seem to be much character growth between each of the books when it came to Lincoln and Jolene. And considering there were 5 books, it had me expecting more from them individually.
Final Scoreended up being sweet, cute and heartwarming read, especially given the HEALincoln and Jolene were finally able to achieve. Author Lisa Suzanne did a good job, particularly with that bonus epilogue that was spicy and adorable all at the same time. Can’t wait to see what she will release next, because it will be on TBR list.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Wow what an ending to this series. It was well worth the wait and there was so much to wrap up. I thought maybe there would be a few questions left unanswered, but they were all wrapped up. In Final Score, we pick up after Jolene found out a secret he had kept from her for the last two decades. He knows he messed up, but the thought of losing Joele again is breaking him. He wants to make it up to her, he doesn’t know how.
Joele is keeping a big secret from Lincoln, she isn’t sure how to tell him, or that she even wants to. Does keeping the secret make her a hypocrite? I love Sam in this situtaiton, she basically tells Joele to put her big girl panties on and do what is right.
I know that these two should be together, but will all the family drama and the outside forces continue to keep them apart? Or will they say, that they are worth it and ignore those forces? I really hope that these two families can put aside their differences and be there for them.
This was such a great series. It was a mix of family love and drama alike, so many emotional twists, and some humor as well. These characters grew over a lot over the course of the series which was great to see. I feel that because their story was drawn out over so many books that we got so much more than we normally would and it was so worth the annoyances of the frustrating cliff hangers. I really enjoyed and highly recommend this book and the entire series. I really came to love these characters and I am sad to leave them behind. I cannot wait to read this series again.
Received The Coach: A Vegas Aces Complete Series ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review from Lisa Suzanne and Valentine PR.
I was given an ARC of this book from the author. All opinions are my own.
I can't believe we're at the end of Lincoln and Jolene's story. I mean, I've been wishing the time away to get to this point, but DANG. I loved Lincoln and Jolene's story, and while I questioned how Lisa was "gonna get us out of this one," I believe she did in a spectacular fashion, tho I would have wished one minor change - and I bet some can guess it. I'll never forgive Eddie Nash, even if Lincoln and Jolene do.
In the aftermath of what happens at the end of Book 4, Lincoln is trying to get Jolene back by any means necessary - and he's helped along that path by my One and Only Jack Dalton, so, yeah, I'm a sap for this series because there's so much Jack. Anyway, while Jolene is upset that Lincoln held on to this huge secret, she's keeping one of her own and being a big fat hypocrite. Their families collide for one final time, and while it's not perfect for everyone, it starts to work.
The push and pull, drama and angst and STEAM make this installment the best yet! Plus, you know it ties everything together, so that's a plus haha Lincoln and Jolene's story is one of my favorite of the Vegas Aces, and I can't wait for what's ahead. The Aces Extended Universe feels like home to me. I especially liked Jolene - I think she loves Jack as much as I do haha! But honestly, I just love a good angsty romance - and even tho this series kept my stomach in knots - I am so happy with how it ended. The bonus scenes were the sweetest!
“He’s fighting for me while I’m intent on pushing him away.”
Final Score is the angsty, emotional conclusion to Lincoln and Jolene’s second chance love story. Lincoln and Jolene faced so many obstacles that I wondered if they would ever be able to find their HEA. Just when they had thought things were falling into place, it had quickly fallen apart. Jolene is struggling to trust Lincoln after the devasting reveal of the secret that he had kept from her. While she’s keeping a secret of her own, Lincoln is determined to earn back her trust and to fight for the woman he loves.
“I will always fight to be everything you need, Jo.”
I loved Lincoln’s persistence and perseverance to prove himself to Jolene. He can’t imagine his life without her and Jonah anymore and he will fight anyone and anything he has to in order to be back in their lives. Jolene is overwhelmed and hurt from Lincoln’s betrayal and she doesn’t know how she could ever trust him again, but all she wants is a life and family with him. Watching these two face the past and try to overcome all the pain was heartbreaking, but they finally realized that they had to make the choice to choose love even if others didn’t approve.
I absolutely LOVED the epilogue to this story. It was perfection! I wish some of the characters had faced more consequences, but all in all, this was a fantastic ending for Lincoln and Jolene. Now I can’t wait for the other Nash brothers to find their HEA’s.
Lisa Suzanne's Coach Series has quickly become my new favorite, and Final Score had me hooked from the very beginning. The story picks up right after the car accident that shook Lincoln and Jolene's world. The two are separated, and it seems like there's no chance of reconciliation. Jolene is struggling to move past the fact that Lincoln kept a secret from her for two decades, even though, ironically, she finds herself doing the same at times.
Lincoln, grappling with the aftermath of the breakup, finds solace and advice in a conversation with Jack Dalton. It's a turning point that allows him to start picking up the pieces. Lincoln is determined to prove to Jolene that she and her son Jonah are his top priorities. Along the way, he makes a few mistakes, but Jolene is open to hearing him out. As the plot thickens, Jolene also reveals a secret of her own, which turns out to be surprisingly positive. Lincoln's heartfelt monologue before discovering Jolene's news adds a poignant touch to the narrative.
The book is a rollercoaster of twists and turns, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The supporting characters added depth to the story, and witnessing Sam, Cade, and Devin finding their HEA brought me so happy! Given the challenges faced by Lincoln and Jolene, I had my doubts about how Lisa Suzanne would bring about a satisfying conclusion, but I couldn't be happier with how the series wrapped up. While I'll miss Lincoln and Nash, I'm eagerly looking forward to Lisa's next series!
Wow... Lisa has done it again!!! She completely shattered us in Overtime and now she's gone and put us all back together again as if it never even happened. All is right again in the Vegas Aces world and I am here for it! 😍
When Jolene is confronted with the fact that Lincoln kept a massive secret from the past, a secret so big, that it tore their world apart once already and now that they've found their way back together, it's about to do it again. She falls into a deep tailspin.
An emotionally charged car accident has her walking away from Lincoln, refusing to hear him out. Devastated and hurting, she now carries a secret of her own. A secret she's not so sure she is willing to share. Her life in turmoil, she contemplates what to do & how to move forward with not only her personal life, but her professional life as well.
Lincoln isn't fairing any better. What do you do when your entire world implodes? You fight. And you fight to win. His world has imploded and he's determined to make things right. He just needs time to figure out his next move. With a plan in place, he begins to make his move. Will it pan out? Is he willing to walk away from everything & everyone for Jolene & Jonah? The fight for happily ever after will be an uphill battle, but it's one he's prepared for.
Will outside forces keep these two apart or will fate work it's magic once again? The journey of Lincoln & Jolene has been full of emotion. Highs, lows and everything in between. But a second chance for these two? It never looked so good!!! 🥰
Final Score Ryan Rivera releases a tell-all detailing the rumors from the Bailey/Nash past that maybe the accident with Eddie Nash/ Joesph Bailey was not an accident. Lincoln has kept this secret for twenty years about how his father caused the injury to Jolene’s father. It was wrong to keep another secret. They were going to move-in together. With the bombshell that Lincoln drops about Eddie, Jolene has to break this off with Lincoln. There is no way to resolve the family issues with this news. Jolene very upset, crashes the car and both Lincoln and Jolene end up at the hospital. Before x-rays they ask if she might be pregnant. Can Jolene keep this secret? Jolene doesn’t have a job. Sam is reconnecting with Devin. Where will Jolene and Jonah go? Will she lose custody of Jonah over this? Her parents are not talking to her. She has to make a living somehow. Ellie doing damage control tells her that she must continue the podcasts. It is wonderful that you somehow make a family of people that care about you. Jack Dalton helps Lincoln when he needs it most. Ellie insists that Jolene and Lincoln continue with the Podcasts. This story had a very satisfying ending. After all the troubles, secrets, family trauma and gambling it was nicely wrapped up. You need to read this series. Lisa Suzanne knows how to keep your interest and when you think there is no way forward, she reels you back in for a satisfying finish. A master storyteller. I hear that iconic Etta James song: At Last.
An epic conclusion to a riveting series that you will love. Final Score finally sees all the secrets revealed but in the process, hearts are broken and families are torn apart. This book is full of angst, twists and turns, broken hearts and a love that is pushed far beyond what any love should be pushed. Ms.Suzanne always delivers a book that will grab your attention right from the start and keep it right up to the last word. I was riding a roller coaster of emotions but it was so worth the ride.
Lincoln was determined to show Jolene that he is worthy of her love and trust. He was not going to let anything get in the way of having the woman that he has loved since day one. He turns his back on loved ones, swallows his pride and fights on hell of a fight to prove he is the man that she deserves. I love how Jolene stood her ground and was open and honest with Lincoln in regards to trusting him again and even though she loved him she could not deal with another broken heart. Can the secrets that they have tear them apart or can their love be strong enough to overcome them? When they learn who is out to pry them apart, Lincoln does everything he can to bring them to justice. Add in that Jack Dolton is behind the two of them and has his ways of making people pay who are hurting the people that he cares about. I was torn between taking my time reading because it was the last book in the series and at the same time wanting to see what happens and how Lincoln and Jolene get their HEA.
Final Score (Vegas Aces: The Coach #5) by Lisa Suzanne is the fifth and final part of a contemporary sports romance serial. Told in first person dual POV, this installment includes second-chance, forced-proximity, and forbidden romance tropes. The story follows the relationship between the new Vegas Aces head coach Lincoln Nash and Jolene Bailey, the sports correspondent assigned to follow the team.
This part picks up right where the cliffhanger left us in the previous book, with Lincoln and Jolene in the hospital dealing with the aftermath of being in a car accident along with the tension of the fight that caused it all. Their families are still at odds, but Lincoln has come to a point where that doesn’t matter to him anymore. He wants to be with Jolene, regardless of what his family may think about it. But is it too little too late? Can Jolene forgive him for the secrets he’s been keeping? And when will she share her secret?
I loved this last installment of Jolene and Lincoln’s story. Even though it was the conclusion, it still had plenty of twists, turns, angst, drama, and surprises. That’s what I love about these books. I wasn’t sure how Lisa Suzanne was going to resolve all the craziness of this storyline in a satisfying way, but I had faith that she would because she always does—and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, it was even better than I expected. I’ve enjoyed every book in the Vegas Aces world and look forward to reading whatever comes next.
Final Score is book five in Vegas Aces: The Coach Book series by Lisa Suzanne. While I was sad for this series to be over, I really enjoyed this final book and sweet conclusion.
Book four, Overtime, ended on a cliffhanger just after the final secret Lincoln had been hiding from Jolene was revealed. Throughout the series the two have been dealing with the opinions of the media, colleagues and worst of all their own families who have been in a feud for over 20 years. Now with this final secret revealed, will Jolene be able to forgive Lincoln knowing he kept this secret for good reason or will this finally be the end for these high school sweethearts?
What a wonderful wrap up to an awesome series! Each book got better than the last one. There were surprises or twists in each of them, but I loved the surprise in this one. The healing between families was beautiful and I am happy Lincoln’s dad started coming around, but he still has a lot of mistakes to make up for. It was clear Lincoln and Jolene were endgame and their happily ever after had me tearing up. I would love more from these two just because I feel a little attached after 5 books, but the ending was perfect.
Not only was I feeling attached to Lincoln and Jolene but also Samantha Brentmoor and Aaron Shedock. They brought these characters to life so well and after having them in my ears for 5 books I was a little bummed when the end credits were read. These books became a comfort listen for me and I enjoyed the way these two brought this story to life.
There's nothing more satisfying than a happy ending and Lisa has yet again given us a hard-fought HEA with Final Score! How could she not?! Lincoln and Jolene have a strong bond and it's tested in so many ways by some incredibly selfish and self-absorbed people. Ed Nash will never, ever be father of the year! Ryan Rivera is truly what lies under the pond scum and Jeremy is just, well, sad!
Jolene and Lincoln must once again overcome the basketful of Ed Nash's bad decisions that tore them apart decades ago. It's likely going to take a miracle for them to get through his selfish plays in a game that will take Lincoln and Jolene coming together and trusting each other to win. They are tested like they've never been before! Ryan River just won't go away, but with a clever play and some creative help from the Aces organization, it shouldn't be too difficult to eliminate his threat. Luckily, Jeremy can be solved easily.
Final Score is filled with angst, heartache and the will to overcome everything that has kept Lincoln and Jolene apart for the past twenty years. They learn to understand and trust each other to win in the end. It doesn't hurt that a surprise play bonds them closer than they ever had been. The final book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series is well done and gives us the HEA we've all been waiting for. The twists and turns it takes are just right to get us across the goal line for the biggest win of all!
Final Score the fifth and final book in the Vegas Aces: The Coach series by Lisa Suzanne has come and with it comes the LONG awaited HEA for Lincoln Nash and Jolene Bailey.
4.5⭐
Lisa has thrown road block after road block for these two and all the secrets lurking in the shadows came to a head in the previous book, Overtime- leaving us with yet another heart pounding cliffhanger. Jolene is justifiably upset with Lincoln but after all they have been through I felt like she was a teensy bit unreasonable with at least not hearing the poor man out. This time though Lincoln is all the way in and put on his swoony pants to prove himself worthy of Jolene but also of being another father figure in Jonah's life.
With this being the last book in the series, it mostly centers around wrapping up all those little loose ends that have accumulated over the course of the series- including getting justice with Riveria, getting Jeremy out of the picture, and most importantly Eddie Nash learning some hard lessons. But what I really love about this book is all the side characters helping give these two the kicks they needed so they can finally get to their forever. For me, Sam was the real MVP here- because while Jolene is her best friend and she is her ride or die- she also held no punches when her friend needed a good dose of reality.
And while I did love the way that Lisa wrapped everything up- I was a little miffed at the epilogues and a certain character getting mildly redeemed. I'm not against the redemption (hello... Jack Dalton) but it felt a little too easy for all the pain and trauma caused by their actions.
Either way- I can't wait for a Nash brother stand alone and more of the Vegas Heat! Keep these guys coming Lisa!
What a conclusion to Lincoln and Jolene's story! These two had been put through so much over the years, that out of all of the characters in the Lisa Suzanne universe - these two deserved their happily ever after, and I had a big smile on my face by the end of this one. I loved seeing Lincoln prove to her that he would do anything to make her happy and that he would be upfront and honest about whatever he was doing. He knew he messed up the first time, and wouldn't make that mistake again. And thank goodness Jolene had such a great friend like Sam. She could have messed things up just as badly as he had, but Sam wasn't going to let her make the same mistake.
Although I really enjoyed the story, I will say that after all the buildup with all those who were determined to keep Jolene and Lincoln apart, they all seemed to get off a little too easily. I was expecting the OMG moment, and it never seemed to happen. Yes, they had some things that did happen, but after all the crap they pulled, they deserved way more than that.
Overall, this series as a whole has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and I've loved watching Jolene and Lincoln get their HEA. Getting to see some old favorites as well as finding some new characters to keep our eyes on in the future. I know this isn't the last of our time spent in the Vegas Aces world, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Lisa comes up with next!
Final Score is the conclusion to Vegas Aces: The Coach series. This cannot be read as a standalone, as the books are a continuation from each other.
Final Score was a good read, albeit exactly what I expected. The Vegas Aces series has become a complete formula, and I understand why... because it works, but it does ruin it a little bit for those of us who have been around from the beginning. I wish I could be surprised by the twists and turns and how it will all end up (imagine if they didn't get their happy ending - that would be a TWIST).
This one picks up right from the cliffhanger of book 4. I will say a lot of the book was filled on more drama, twists, and turns - and it did not leave a lot of time to satisfyingly wrap up everything in a way that didn't feel rushed.
Lincoln fights to be with Jolene and she tries to keep him at arms length, but in the end the two find their way to each other. I do think they're way too old for the way they handled so much of this relationship. To me, this one felt like it was more about their drama and side characters than it was their relationship growth. I really didn't feel invested in them as a couple, and honestly would've been okay if they didn't end up together... and that doesn't sit right with me when reading romance!
Overall this was a good read and I'm content with the ending, but this wasn't the most memorable of the series for me.
Jolene walks away from the car wreck with a bum wrist and some unexpected news. Lincoln is cleared as well but that doesn’t mean Jolene is ready to forgive him after keeping 2 decade long secret from her. Jolene keeps their relationship completely professional after she finds out she cannot get out of her podcast contract with Lincoln and after talking to Ellie she can’t get a new cohost either. After some time and a conversation with Sam, her secret is no different than the one he kept from her. Jolene finally agrees to a meeting with Lincoln to tell him she’s pregnant. When he hears the news he’s so excited, asking Jolene to not only marry him but for her and Jonah to move in with him. This leads to a whirlwind of events. Lincoln tracks down Jolene’s dad for his blessing to their marriage. He knows how important he is to her and wants his approval. He reluctantly gives it but telling Lincoln, only if this is what Jolene wants. This was the final installment of the Vegas Aces coach series. I enjoyed how Jolene and Lincoln knew each other as young and vulnerable kids to running into each other some 20 years later to pick up where they left off but not without drama, tears, fights and lots of make up sex. After reading this I’m sure everyone wants a man like Coach Lincoln in their corner!
Lisa Suzanne's expansive sports romance world has gotten even bigger with the completion of her latest series- Vegas Aces: The Coach. It has been quite a tumultuous ride with its share of highs, lows, angsty twists and crazy turns over these five books. Is Final Score the end of the line for Jolene and Lincoln's story, OR is it just the beginning of a whole new chapter for this second chance couple's romance?
If anyone deserves to have it all, it's these two, especially after the heartbreaking torment they've been through over so many years apart. With what seemed like everything and everyone standing in their way, how will the pieces of their lives fit together in Final Score? I wasn't sure how it would end, but you can binge them all at once, or catch up with this last book to find out for yourself.
This author knows just how to entrance her readers while keeping her stories lively, making it her mission to ensure there's never a dull moment in her character's fight for their happily ever after. Her ability to keep the excitement going by mixing beloved characters from previous books into her current couple's lives has always been one of her superpowers.
Football fanatics who love some extra spice and suspense in their romance books will definitely want to delve into this world! What a great ending to this fantastic series.
I recently read Final Score by Lisa Suzanne and I must say, it was a fantastic thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. The novel follows the journey of Davy, a young woman who becomes involved in a high-stakes game of identity, deception, and unexpected love.
The story is full of twists and turns, keeping the reader engaged and guessing until the very end. The combination of a thrilling narrative and steamy romance makes for an exciting and captivating read.
Davy's character is well-developed and relatable, with a strong sense of self-discovery and resilience. The supporting characters are also well-written and add depth to the story, making the novel more engaging.
The novel is expertly paced, with a fast-paced narrative that never drags. The combination of a tight timeline and multiple plot threads keeps the reader on their toes, eager to find out what happens next.
The book wraps up the story in a satisfying way, tying up loose ends and providing a sense of closure for the characters. The epilogue adds an extra touch of sweetness, making it a truly enjoyable reading experience.
Overall, Final Score is a thrilling and engaging novel that I highly recommend for those who enjoy a fast-paced, suspenseful read with a touch of romance. It's a 4-star read that I'll be adding to my collection and can't wait to share with others.
Lisa Suzanne never fails to enlighten, exhilarated and entertain readers with her writing. The entire Vegas Aces series has been excellent and this last series featuring "The Coach" did not disappoint. Lincoln and Jolene's journey was definitely a rough one with their family history and many other obstacles that has the reader questioning of their journey was just too exhausting and even worth it. But as always in Lisa's stories, even when the complications seem insurmountable and you as a reader are stressed out and want to choke some of the characters, you ultimately just need to read the next line to be pulled back on to the rollercoaster and continue the ride. That is because you just can't wait to read what happens next. For me this series gave me insights into so many different characters with different backgrounds and issues, riveting story lines, many different relationships, both challenging ones and sweet ones, insights into a City I've never visited as well as a wealth of information about a sport that is not my first love and is play a little differently here in Canada. Add a great love story and it's more writing magic from Lisa's own or laptop. One of the best sport series I have read. I would highly recommend this series and that will pull you in to reading whatever this author writes. Enjoy!
"Final Score" is like the ultimate touchdown celebration for Lincoln and Jo, giving them the happily-ever-after they totally deserve! This series is a wild ride from start to finish, with the pro football coach vs media showdown adding an extra kick to the love story.
The plot is a crazy mix of family drama, juicy secrets, and some serious bad blood that keeps you flipping pages like your life depends on it. And let's talk about the bad guys, Jeremy and Ryan – they add the perfect dose of spice to the mix, making sure you're always on the edge of your seat.
What really got me cheering was how Lincoln's brothers got thrown into the whole story. It's like a genius move that gives the story an extra layer of awesome. (I hope we get their stories soon ;)) And the friendship vibes between Jolene and Sam? Absolutely heart-melting.
Oh, and don't get me started on the kids – cuteness overload! They bring in these adorable moments that balance out all the crazy stuff happening around them.
"Final Score" doesn't just wrap things up; it ties them up with a big, sparkly bow. The happy ending is everything you could wish for, and it leaves you with that warm and fuzzy feeling.
I'm totally pumped for whatever the author has in store next. If you're into love stories that are as spicy as they are sweet, "Final Score" is your jam. Can't wait for the next adventure!
Everything comes together in Final Score. This is the perfect ending to the series. Questions answered, secrets exposed, and the family drama concludes with some unexpected moments Both Jolene and Lincoln went through so much throughout the series. Their growth, both personally and professionally, exemplify the meaning of what a soulmate is. In Final Score, they lay it all on the line for each other and their families.. With the plot centering around a rivalry between the two families and how Jolene and Lincoln fight their way through all the deceit and bitterness. Throughout the series it was one obstacle after another pulling them apart. Final Score brings it all home for another winning series set within the world of the Vegas Aces football franchise. One thing I really enjoyed was that this second chance happened twenty years later. Most of the books I’ve read, the time span is not that long. I know other books are out there with that long of a reconnection but most of what I’ve read, that reconnection occurs much sooner. So if you love second chances, enemies to lovers, and sports romances, Vegas Aces: The Coach is a definitive MUST READ! Looking forward to reading more set within the world of the Vegas Aces.

ARC Review ~ The final book in this series was the icing on the cake.
Jolene and Lincoln have several people causing problems for them. Namely Lincoln’s father and Rivera, the reporter. Lincoln has held on to his father’s secret for 20 years. Him and Jolene are back together and he knows he needs to tell her. And he planned to even though he knew it could end them. But Rivera received information from Lincoln’s dad and told Jolene and ran the story before Lincoln could. Jolene was crushed and confronted Lincoln. She didn’t want to see him anymore. She felt so betrayed. But Jolene has a secret of her own now.
Her life is turned upside down. She quit her job, needs to find a new place to live and decide on what to do about her secret.
Lincoln is determined not to lose Jolene this time. He needs to prove she can trust him. So he decides to help with the one thing that is most important her, her son. She is battling her ex over full custody. Plus he’s decided his dad is not going to have control over his life anymore. He wants Jolene and her son in his life.
This book is so good. I’m so glad it had a happy ending for Lincoln and Jolene and that Rivera was finally dealt with. And I’m happy their parents finally made up, minus Lincoln’s dad. It was a beautiful story.
