BP ”Birthright Part Four of Twelve” starts with Clark Kent taking a cab to Metropolis. He asks the cab driver about the army helicopters all over the city. The cabbie says it is a test of an anti-terrorist aircraft. They volley between yellow and orange alerts so they must do what they can to be safer.

Insert Ben Franklin quote here.

Clark is going to a job interview at the Daily Planet. Once inside the building he sees Jimmy Olson being bullied by the publisher. Lois Lane comes to his defense.

The publisher fights back because she’s been chasing a crazy story about a flying strong man.

Interviewing with Perry White, Clark is trying to keep up the bumbling, shy act but Perry is looking for an aggressive reporter. He can’t use him.

Then an attack helicopter shoots bullets through the windows. Lois and Jimmy take off in a news helicopter. Clark just takes off.

The helicopter shoots down the news copter, throwing Jimmy out of it. Superman catches them both. Once he puts the down on the ground Lois gives him her card.

Very nice retelling of Clark Kent’s first interview and meeting with Lois Lane. The art is really the star here, but it’s a nice tale.

Oops, got distracted away from this mini-series!

I don't think I like the art very much, but this characterization of Lois is great and it's overall just a really strong Superman story.
