This is the 3rd book in this amazing series. The Gallo Famiglia are very close and will do anything to keep the Famiglia in power and their women safe. Dario Gallo has no desire to fall in love like his brothers and he gives them a hard time every chance he gets. The banter between the brothers is such a fun addition to the dark mafia world that surrounds them. Dario helps his brother find a missing girl but she brings along her two best friends and Dario is certain her friend Portia reminds him of someone??
Portia has had entire world imploded when her father was murdered and now her stepfather is going to sell her to the highest bidder. She has to run but can she ever outrun her past. She knows that the Gallo's are powerful so when she is pulled back into this world she doesn't know how to feel but the pull between her and Dario is so intense! She can't stop wanting him but she knows he'll never be hers so she's going to stay for her friends but she can't give her heart to Dario because he will destroy the walls she's constructed and she can't let that happen.
Their story is action packed and filled with secrets, betrayals, lies, and so much passion you will devour every page and fall hard for another Gallo. Happy Reading!!
Dario and Portia’s fast paced addictive storyline is packed full of secrets, lies, revenge, vengeance, and blood shed. It’s a journey into a dark and twisted world that will push your boundaries while touching on sensitive subjects and traumatic experiences. This is definitely a series you can’t help get lost in. I promise you won’t want to put it down until you know how it ends.
I knew Portia’s life had been hard, but I hadn’t realised how hard till reading her story. Her and Dario’s book pulls out all the emotions. It definitely wasn’t for the faint hearted! I was glued to my kindle from start to finish.
Ruthless Passion is the third book in The Gallo Famiglia Series, which is a series of interconnected standalone novels. This is a highly emotional, contemporary, m/f, mafia romance with immense loss felt by the FMC.
Dario and Portia are amazing characters. Portia is a strong, tough, and BA FMC who has worked hard to take care of herself and those she considers family. Dario is hard, yet soft for Portia, and makes a great MMC. The way that he is there for Portia after a devastating event, and then works to right the wrongs that were done to her, it melted my heart. I loved how their relationship developed and the chemistry and steam between them was HOT!
The story kept me entranced and unable to stop reading. The writing, flow, and pace were terrific, as were the characters, storyline, storytelling, character development, relationship development, and world building. I personally consider this a must read and would highly recommend it.
This series is very dark and intense. It is not for the faint hearted so heed the trigger warnings. Buckle up for the ride of your life because this book will take you on a massive emotional roller coaster with all the action. Dario has a very sinister side to him but he is that way because of his past and the way his father treated him. Portia ended up on the street when her father was betrayed and killed and was forced to live with a monster. She was able to escape and stay off the radar until Dario intercepted her life and that is when all the drama begins. I loved everything about this book and I loved absolutely everything about this series and the ending gives up hope for more to come. So amazing!
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
“Don’t make me call Portiaaaa” I love a badass FMC who is a little stabby and add in the mafia element? its game over. Mafia romances are always dark but there’s always some shit going down that makes the plot so good and Ruthless Passion was exactly that. I felt such deep sympathy for the women in this book.
I wish the book didn’t jump around so drastically in terms of fast forwarding weeks or months at a time, but I do understand it was vital to the overall plot and bringing down major crime in the city. We always love a good plot twist where someone ends up on the wrong side, but I wasn’t too surprised at this one, not that it took away from how good the plot was.

OMG! Wow, I was absolutely astounded reading this fantastic book, this story may have a lot of triggers so beware. I fell in love with the characters Dario and Portia, they both have had bad things happen in their lives but one thing is for sure they need each other until secrets come out. There was so many twist and turns to this story, so many emotions throughout.

Trigger Warning!!! This is a DARK mafia romance See authors page for complete triggers list. Portia went from a loving home with loving parents to a living nightmare. When her father is killed by his enemy, her and her mother are at the whim of a cold-blooded monster! She knows if she doesn't escape, she's as good as dead. She will survive. She is a Leone. She is a fighter. Dario has had a hard life. He's ashamed of his past and how he hid it. When he's up to be the Under-Boss in a new state, he's on a mission to make the Gallo organization the biggest in said state. He will not fail. But first, he must help his brother find revenge on those who hurt him. That's when he first meets "her". He knows from that moment that he wants to know her and everything about her. It doesn't matter that she's homeless. As danger and death happen all around them, their desire for each other grows until it consumes them. Secrets long hidden, lies and betrayal, horrific past deeds, heartache, remorse, twists and turns that you won't see coming and REVENGE Gallo style. What. A. Ride! This is the last in the Gallo brothers series so don't miss it. I'm so glad I didn't!.

I loved this couple. Portia has been through so much from her father being killed, her mother being abused, and then running to save herself and blending in on the streets for years. When Dario first meets her, he knows there is something about her, and when he figures out who she is, he keeps it to himself, waiting on her to open up to him. The chemistry is off the charts between these, but when Portia needs him, will Dario be available? Absolutely recommend this series.
This is Book 3 of The Gallo Famigilia Series. It is a stand-alone But characters from previous book are in this one. This book just grabbed me right from the get go. Portia was su h a kick-butt character. And I fell in love with her character and how she rose above everything that happened to her and became empowered. Dario was haunted by the past and Portia was just who he needed in his life. Thier chemistry was off the charts and they had so many Romantic moments in the book. The storyline was so well done and some events in this book were in previous books but told from another perspective. Once again I'm addicted to this series and can't wait for the next book in the series to come out! We done to the author for writing this fantastic series!!.

If you’ve read the other two books in this Gallo series, you’ll see this story has different points of view about events in previous books. I love this, because it’s like a recap to help me remember the last book and provides another layer to what was happening at the same time. Dario and Portia both have traumatic back stories and the author does a beautiful job of weaving their interconnected stories together. It culminates in some violent revenge (check the trigger warnings) as Dario and Portia fight to be together. Passionate, emotional story.
Brooke’s books are always those that I just cannot put down. The story is always fast passed and you are not left hanging around waiting for something to happen. If you have read the first book in this series you will have already met Portia and the first few chapters follows some of the storyline in that book but from Portia’s and Dario’s point of view. We discover how Portia came to live on the streets and then her meeting with Dario, plus how he pushes his way into her life. There are some unexpected turns in this books but it only adds to the storyline.
I cannot wait for the story hinted at the end of the book either!.

Dual POV-they’re both around the same age so no age gap. This is Dario’s and Portia’s story. The beginning is basically an overview if you have read the other series and are caught up on this series and a good recap if it’s been a while. Plus love seeing what’s going on in their heads for interactions we saw on the sidelines in the first ruthless book. Their story isn’t quite as painful as the first 2 of this series imo but it was just as good.
I didn't think I could love this series any more than I already did. Dario and Portia were perfect for each other. Radio never gave up and Portia never lost sight of her goals. The push and pull was the right mix and let's just say their chemistry was off the charts. I loved reading this couple and watching them overcome things. I'm pretty sure I fell in love with them from the beginning. If you haven't started this series you are missing out.
This was a really good read. Dario and Portia both have darkness and it makes them perfect for each other. I loved the push and pull these two have. The storyline is great and I enjoyed the timeline the story had. Plus we got to see some familiar faces again. A great ending to the Gallo family series.
4* Portia has been living on the streets forming a family with Teagan. Dario has the feeling he knows Portia but she's not giving him any clues. When the truth finally comes out the deceit runs deep. Another great addition to the series.
From start to finish this book was nonstop action. As w/all the books I’ve read by Brooke, I loved it. When she wrote Dario was a monster, she wasn’t lying. This man was absolutely brutal w/the things he’s done, things I honestly didn’t see coming, but w/Portia he’s the complete opposite. There’s such a softness to him when it comes to her. What I loved most about this couple- besides their intense pull to each other & the OTT hot chemistry they had, was they each had a darkness in themselves that they shared. There was one moment I wanted to shake Dario & make him go after Portia. I normally hate when there’s a gap in time when the characters aren’t together in a book, but Brooke managed to execute perfectly & I didn’t feel like they missed any time together. This was another great addition to the Gallo series & I’m excited for the next book!
I can’t get enough of this family. It gets more intriguing and more action. Not many people on the streets get to find there happily ever after in life. Can’t wait to read the next book!!.

4.25stars--RUTHLESS PASSION is the third instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult GALLO FAMIGLIA dark, erotic, Mafia romance series, set in the author’s MADE SERIES. This is underboss Dario Gallo, and nineteen year old, Portia Leone’s story line. RUTHLESS PASSION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book one RUTHLESS ARRANGEMENT for back story and cohesion. Some of the events of Ruthless Passion run parallel to, and cross over with some of the event of book one Ruthless Arrangement.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Dario and Portia), covering several years RUTHLESS PASSION follows in the wake of the murder of Portia’s father Davide Leone. At sixteen years old, Portia hears the killing of her father, and within minutes her mother and herself become the prisoner of a man who traffics women and children. After a successful escape, Portia lives on the streets for close to four years where she will meet people who will become her lifelong friends. All is not well when the traffickers beginstargeting the people she knows but a familiar face will claim Portia as his own, and in doing so, set into motion months of heart break and pain for our story line couple. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Portia and Dario, and the potential fall-out as the past refuses to let go, taking aim at our story line heroine.
The world building follows several intersecting paths focusing on the take down of a sexual trafficking ring. Young women and girls go missing, and our heroine finds herself working for the people willing to do everything it takes to rescue those most vulnerable but as Portia struggles to locate and find, Dario battles between head and heart knowing he pushed Portia out of his life. A good portion of the story line our couple are separated, living separate lives without the other, therefore, there is a definite lack of cohesion in the struggling relationship.
The relationship between Dario and Portia is one of immediate attraction for our story line hero. Dario knows immediately the identity of the woman with whom he will fall in love but Portia struggles to trust or accept that everyone does not have an ulterior motive. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and powerful secondary and supporting characters from both the Gallo Famiglia and MADE series including Dario’s brothers Rocco and Elio, and Portia’s best friends Teagan (Elio) and Nell. The requisite evil has many faces.
RUTHLESS PASSION is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, forgiveness , acceptance and love. The premise is dark, dramatic and raw; the romance is seductive and intense but struggles with issues of trust and months apart; the characters are determined, desperate, dynamic and charismatic.
Couldn't have asked for a better to book to finish up the Gallo Famiglia. There are so many twists and turns you don't see coming at all. This book I couldn't put down until I was finished with it. I love meeting Portia in prior books and couldn't wait to get her story. Her backstory was heartbreaking and painful. It makes sense why she acted the way she did, to go through life not knowing who to trust would be hard. Portia came out so strong though and didn't allow her past to sink her she rose instead. Dario had his worked cut out for him when it came to trying to win Portia over. I loved it though when she finally realized she could depend on Dario. When she discovers that Dario has known who she is and he never said a word she knows she can trust him. Dario is such a playboy and him calming down for one woman and wanting to settle down was sweet. I loved the relationship between these two and I'm so glad they came back together and got the ending they deserve. The book had pain but also will make you laugh. The banter between characters is sarcastic and funny and plenty of times I was laughing along with crying! Also nothing beats the woodchipper coming out in this book and if you read it then you know! I love reading about the torture methods that are used. This author always has the ability to make such powerful female characters who have gone through hell and back but come out the other side more powerful. I love to that all the female characters well the important ones are so good to each other and supportive. It's also not just the women that go through tough times the men can have it just as bad and their trauma follows them until they can work through their own demons. That's what Dario and Portia had to do was work through their past nightmares and they did with the help of each other and no judgements between them. I can't wait to see these two show up in books to come in the future. That is my all-time favorite thing about this author. She makes us wrapped up with the characters, but they don't fall of the face of the earth at the end of the book she gives us a chance to read about them again in other books. You grow attached to these characters and still get to see them grow. I'm sucked into another world every time I open up a book by Brooke Summers and its a world I don't want to leave! The epilogue leaves us hanging at the end about more friend/family members in another country.
A fav. quote: ""Never doubt how much I love you, Portia. never ever doubt that." The sincerity in his voice has my breath hitching. "With every beat of my heart.""
We’re not men who will do the right thing. We’re no knight in shining armour. We’re people’s worst fucking nightmares.
The Gallo men are a force to be reckoned with and now they are reclaiming their thrones after the actions from their father left them questioning everything-and everyone. The Famiglia will always show loyalty and protect those who have their backs…but what happened at the Leone family home?
Why wasn’t Davide's wife and daughter saved?
Are they still alive?
My papa didn’t raise a quitter. No, he raised a goddamn fighter.
Burying her heartbreak, then leaving the one she loved behind and fearing for her life, Portia is on her own in the world. Learning quickly on the streets, finding others like her, Portia has grown into being the protector and with her friends Nell, newbie Teagun, Portia will do anything to survive these cruel unforgiving streets.
But, fate is about to twist everything up for Portia and before Portia knows it she is caught up in the world she ran from. A blast from the past has her walls up and her heart beating for the first time.
Portia is not the sweet girl she once was and with a blade under her pillow is she ever going to let another close to seeing who she really is?
“You have no idea how to deal with someone like me. I’d rather stab you in the heart than flirt with you.”
“I like to call that foreplay.”
We’ve come full circle and more of the story unfolded comes secrets…
I really enjoyed getting into Portia's side of the story! We find out more of her past with her family, finding out the links that she has with the mafia world and what she was able to escape. From reading the first book you would already know the timeline of events, Portia story then follows this but with her side of events of what was happening on her side.
Which also includes meeting Dario Gallo, their connection is fire right from the start and he knows there is more than just a spark with this mystery woman and soon he figures it out. I liked his character, how he was able to grow away from his family to become his own man.
I loved both of these characters together, Portia is not a woman to back down and Dario can see that she is more than a challenge. As the event’s force them together you see them coming together allowing the other to lower their guard…until things spiral.
The story does follow the event’s of book 1 and does then develop further as Portia & Dario carry on the story for all of the characters.
This is the third book in the Gallo Famiglia stories set in Brooke Summers MADE world and I loved everything about Dario and Portia’s story. It was hard reading at times as there are dark themes in this book so please be aware of your triggers. This book covers five years and we first meet Portia as a fourteen year old.
I want to be Portia when I grow up, that girl is such a badass, she’s loyal to a fault to her friends but woe betide trying to hurt those she loves. Portia shows no mercy to those that betray her and those she’s sworn to protect. Portia was raised to be a fighter, the daughter of a Gallo family enforcer, when her father is betrayed and killed Portia and her mother are taken by his enemy. Portia escapes to the streets, surviving on her wits and the skills her father has instilled in her. Portia is a conundrum, she’s a force to be reckoned with but she’s also has a vulnerability about her… she’s built her walls high…can Dario be the one to break these down…
Dario has grown so much since he was first introduced but he is still finding and proving himself. He has a lot of guilt about his past actions and is ashamed about what he ‘allowed’ to happen but he has the chance of a fresh start as an Underboss in a new state. When he crosses paths with Portia he’s the only one who works out who she really is and the attraction he feels for her is instant. Whether she wants him or not he is not going anywhere.
I loved the passion between Dario and Portia, they are both such strong but complicated characters. Their chemistry is amazing but I also loved their banter and how Dario respects Portia’s confidence when he guesses who she really is.
This book is full of danger, betrayal secrets and all consuming passion, it was definitely unputdownable. If you haven’t read any of Brooke Summers books you are truly missing out. Do yourself a favour and check them out.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ruthless Passion is the third and final book in Brooke Summers’ Gallo Famiglia Series. This is told in dual POV and is Dario and Portia’s story. This is a dark mafia romance. Read the triggers, it wouldn’t be Brooke Summers without the dark and gritty elements. I’m not ready for this series to end! I absolutely LOVE this world that Brooke has created, and it has been so easy to love these characters. Dario tugged my heartstrings way back in Brooke’s Made Series. His past definitely sets him apart from most Made Men. I wouldn’t call him a victim, but his circumstances give him a different perspective than most of the other male main characters. He is equally as dark as his brothers but he’s got this huge heart and will really do anything for those he loves. Portia is such an amazing character. It’s been way too easy to fall for her and want all the good things for her. I knew she hadn’t had an easy life when we met her in Teagan’s book, but I wasn’t expecting all of the twists and turns. Her connection to the Gallo’s and to the Mafia life was one I wasn’t expecting but it made this book so much better. The connections and overlap between characters and series are part of what makes me love Brooke’s writing style like I do. You don’t have to read the other books to have it make sense, but if you have it’s such a treat! We definitely get to see some familiar faces and I love the breadcrumbs for future books. This one had me hooked from page one. If Elio was the “Anti-Hero” Dario would be considered “Golden Retriever” well as much as a Mafia guy could be. The chemistry is so insane, I loved watching them together. The twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat and will keep you guessing until the end. This is a hard earned HEA with all the heat and all the feels. Another winner from Brooke, pick this one up now!

Holy moly, this book has every emotion possible, and let me tell you, you feel each deep in your heart. Be prepared to be shocked, delighted, afraid, angry and proud, and these are only some of the feelings you’ll experience.
Dario Gallo makes no excuses about who he is and what he’s done; he’s brutally honest and knows he’s ruthless. His childhood was not unicorns and rainbows; this definitely has affected him. He is fiercely loyal to his family and the la Famiglia, with no exception.
Portia Leone is one extremely determined and strong young woman. She is no stranger to heartache and trauma, but the difference between her and other female lead characters is that she defends herself and fights to survive.
Dario and Portia are a little like oil and water, to begin with, yet they can’t deny their physical chemistry either. There is a considerable amount of to and fro between them, and the sizzle only turns into something hotter and hotter.
Alongside the romance is the incredible suspense; this has you sitting on the edge of your seat at times. It certainly makes you scroll as fast as possible to discover what happens.
It is another sensational story with fantastic characters, a solid, exciting storyline and a fiery romance.

Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Dario and Portia POV- 1st person dual Genre- Mafia Romance Heat- 🌋🌋☄️ (1🌋=2☄️). They do the things and use the P word. The C word is used in the book but not during or related to zexytime; it’s used as an insult. Series? Y, and connected to other series by this author. Safety: Friends and followers, this is not safe. There’s no cheating, but it’s very triggery, including violence against women. HEA. Triggers- More triggers than an NRA swap meet. Please consider this list carefully and be advised. Trafficking, language, explicit erotic content, blood. Graphic violence including violence against women, murder, psychological torture (Russian Roulette), physical torture, torture and murder of a pregnant woman, betrayal, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree. Tropes- this book is more original than tropey. Tropes include surprise pregnancy, He Falls First, Hate to Love You, Do-Si-Do with the Mafioso, Badsass Heroine (some review sites tale a very quantitative view of what constitutes profanity).
Cat’s Mew-sings : I was able to get past the triggers and enjoy the book a lot. I particularly liked that Portia was tough, and Dario was tough, but together they could be soft and tender with each other. There’s lots of action, but emotion is not neglected. I thought that this book was a good addition to the author’s interconnected book world. I suggest reading this as part of the whole rather than a standalone.

First if you have triggers please heed the warnings. Wow this story was packed full action, vengeance, steam and finally love. It was definitely a rollercoaster ride full of twists and turns and lot of surprises. Dario was raised knowing all about abuse at the hands of his father, he grew up in a life full of violence due to who his family is. He grew up the monster of the family doing what the other family members wouldn't do. Portia grew up with loving parents until her father was killed and her mother and herself were kept captive. After hearing a conversation that she wasn't supposed to hear she decides its time to run. She ended up living on the streets for years while there she meets two girls that would forever be her sisters. Unknowingly to her a chance encounter with Dario and his brother her life is turned upside. They both have secrets that are best kept secret but when Dario finds out Portia's secret will it put her in harms way or can Dario save her from her past. I did enjoy this book although there were a few cringe moments but after all can't expect any less by this author. She knows how to write it all and pull those emotions out. I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of this series.
Ruthless Passion by Brooke Summers is the third instalment in the Gallo Famiglia Mafia dark romance series, set in the world of the Made Series. This CAN be read as a standalone. But you are missing out if you do not read the previous Ruthless books, as well as the Made Series. There are crossover scenes from Ruthless Arrangement, as some of the action takes place concurrently, but you do not have to read it to understand what is happening. (though events that happened in Ruthless Arrangement take on ALL NEW MEANING in this book). Note this is a DARK mafia romance novel, Brooke Summers builds dark mafia worlds, murder, violence, SA, torture, trafficking, abuse are only some of the things that happen in these worlds. Please read the content warnings.
Dario and Portia are both haunted by their pasts. Both of them feel guilt for different things and have difficulty trusting. Building a relationship with that, on top of the violence, murder, and betrayal they’ll have to face makes for intense suspenseful reading.
Dario is witty, charming and often a little to flippant or has a hair trigger temper. His, touch her and die, finds no joy with Portia. Yet he’s the perfect match for Portia, who is determined, feisty, dark rage intent on seeing vengeance done. Their miscues and time apart are angsty, but necessary for their personal growth and their future together. Ruthless Passion is everything its name implies. Brooke Summers once again serves up a daring dangerous couple and the dark world they inhabit.
This is one of my favourite series and I have been eagerly waiting for Dario's book. The connection was obvious between Dario and Portia from the first time they meet and I wanted to know how they get together. I loved getting to know Portia and Dario as they got to know every side of each other. My heart broke for everything they both went through. I have loved these both from the start of the series but getting to know them made me fall for them harder. The spice was off the charts and there chemistry sizzling hot. I was in awe with there love and Dario made me swoon throughout the read. Just as expected from Brooke there were instaces were I could not control my tears. The complete read was an emotional whirlwind packed with every kind of emotion. Having some of my favourite characters was cherry on top. This book is not as dark as some of the other books but equally captivating. I love this amazing world Brooke has created and cannot wait for what's to come next especially after getting a glimpse of what's going on. Please read the TW/CW as some instances might trigger. Thanks to Brooke for the advanced copy of this mesmerizing read.
