An inexplicable accident. A deadly price for truth. A relentless pursuit. When a heart-wrenching accident claims the life of a devoted stay-at-home mother, foul play is the last thing on anyone’s mind. Until the life of another woman is taken in an eerily similar incident, and Constable Nora Sommer’s instincts convince her there is more to these tragedies than meets the eye. Despite her detective training being sidelined after a disciplinary hearing, a mysterious individual with disturbingly intimate knowledge of the tragedies insists Nora becomes involved. And so begins a deadly game of cat and mouse… where each new lead comes at the price of another victim. Can be read in series, or as a stand-alone novel.

This whole series is just so good!!
This book was more subtle with the suspense. I kept trying to figure out who is doing this because I knew she must be right!! The storyline captured me right off and carried me all the way through the book. I really enjoyed learning about the gaming world and the online treasure hunt!!

Relentless Sommer," the sixth book in the Nora Sommer Caribbean Suspense series, delivers a narrative filled with unexpected twists and turns that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. As Constable Nora Sommer navigates her detective training, she finds herself involved in not one, but two compelling cases, showcasing her determination and uncanny ability to problem solve via her unique thought processes and point of view.

I have read the previous five books, and I have enjoyed following the development of Nora's character, as she matures both as a young adult and as a constable within the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service. I appreciate that the author, Nicholas Harvey, has considered her growth and evolution throughout the series, adding depth and authenticity to each book.

Overall, "Relentless Sommer" is a page-turner that seamlessly weaves together suspense, mystery, and character development, making it a must-read for fans of the Caribbean suspense genre. Nora Sommer continues to prove herself as a compelling protagonist worth following through every twist and turn.

What a great way to start May with a crazy Cayman Viking

I was deep into fascinating non-fiction (been a history nut for 50+ years) and didn't notice the date. I got notified my payment had been processed, Relentless Sommer was waiting for me, which is better than waiting for it.

I knew I was in for laughing, thinking, caniculating, and enjoying another excellent story. I was also confident I'd catch at least one Pearl night, or so I hoped. There is nothing in this book, or the bonus chapter that disappointed me at all. I enjoyed watching Jazzy sprint into the picture, quite a fun growth in her came into being. Love being inside Nora's brain...masterfully written.

Let me tell you all about the details...ummm...sorry, just so fun but you should read it and I should go check out the TAG newsletter.

Do enjoy the chapter name game and keep an eye out for cats.

Relentless Sommer - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Norwegian Detective Nora Sommer is her usual gung-ho, engaging self as she juggles home life with her mutually adopted 'daughter' Jazzy, (who's trying out for her school's running team trials) and non-stop work, where she's relentlessly in pursuit of a local cyber-crime perp - plus hunting down the twisted mentality behind a series of mysterious- seeming, (to her) 'accidents'.

Nicholas Harvey keeps the action galloping along, as he expertly showcases Nora's endearing quirks, determination to get her man, save the day and solve these cases in her own unique way.

Read Relentless Sommer to see exactly what I mean...

Three and a half stars. Definitely a must read for Nicholas harvey fans. This was the sixth of the Nora Sommers books that i read which blend with another Caribbean series written by the author. While the book checked all the boxes of a light caribbean murder mystery with the young Norwegian constable, it is becoming predictable. The characters are still interesting and fun to follow, but the plot on this one did not engross me like the others, and i think we need more growth and intensity from the main character. THat having been said, i am looking forward for the next Nora book which is coming out later this month. Hopefully it will return to the intensity of the previous ones.

Nora never disappoints!
A young constable living in the Cayman Islands is like a "dog with a bone!" Once she thinks her gut is leading her in the right direction, she will forge ahead often circumventing the police rules and regulations. But, her mentor, Detective Whitaker inevitably comes through for her.
Faced with several accidental deaths that she believes are not accidents, she does everything possible to prove her theories. Including using Jacob, her partner to reenact various scenarios.
In the end, Nora is right and the cases are solved.

Great reading

Love the Nora Sommer books. Well written and edited. This was a good, solid story. Plus, we learn more about Nora with each one. Jazzy and Edvard add a bit of humor to the storyline. Highly recommend for a really entertaining "summer" read. Pun intended!

An absolutely great who did it book. I love the adventure and love Nora's persistents and humour. No need for excessive conversation. The plot is all Nora which keeps Roy on his toes as to where this may go.
Keep up the great stories, Nick.
We always need more Viking stories.

Good one

Action packed. Seems that Nora is starting to get a little closer to belonging to "polite society" and family life. Mr. Harvey is getting closer to Mssrs. Stinnet and Daugherty. Definitely worth reading and reviewing.

Great Story

I love how Nora’s mind works. Never sure of herself, but always analytical. Digging in like a dog with a toy or something like that.
Thanks for the story!

I’m enjoying the series

I’m pretty sure our if our protagonist were actually in the force she would have been ousted by now. Nonetheless another good read.

I really need to visit this island. I open the book and I swear I smell the water and see the trees swaying. I have never been to Grand Cayman Islands but I have been to Jamaica often. So when I read this series I imagine what I know. Besides the fabulous setting I just love Nora. Her quirks, her drive, and how smart she is for someone so young. And at times I feel sad for what’s she’s going through but yet she never pines. And I love that she’s fostering and trying to be there for Jazzy.

This series has great characters, fast paced and so unique. I highly recommend checking it out.
