The elementary school principal.

Unsafe She is only ever with him and celibate He fucked and impregnanted someone the day they started a break
The heroine is a pathetic bitter doormat and the hero is a woe is my asshole
He fucked someone else the day she asked for a break. The same night! He impregnanted someone else that same night. Yet the heroine, the hero, the hero's mother and the other woman all act like he is a big victim and she is the one wrong
He has the audacity of accusing her of asking for a break to experience the college life single, yet he was the one who fucked someone else as soon as she ended the call. And guess what?? This pathetic woman has never been with any other man. She has been celibate!!!!
The author blames the h for his mistakes, she asked for a break because her friends kept pressuring her saying he was probably cheating and she felt to co dependent, like she was only happy if she was with him. Her friends were right!!! And the fact he fucked someone as soon as the break starts proves he just wanted an excuse to dip into someone else.
Really, now she has to be a step mother to his daughter, has to accept he and the ow as best friends and he even insists the ow moves into town.
She is someone I pity. A laughting stock.
“Don’t all men have condoms?” Another shake. “I’m not all men, Lemon. Sleeping around isn’t something I do. Besides, a man who’s in love with someone doesn’t find other women to occupy their time.” It’s like she needed this moment to finally grasp how I feel about her. “I haven’t been with anyone since you, Wade.” Her cheeks flush. “I’m embarrassed to admit this.”
This got to be a joke!!! He is excaly this type of a man, are we forgetting there is a child out there because he did in fact fucked someone else while claiming he loved the h???
His night with the ow later he has the gal to say it was a drunken hook up and he is not attracked to her
I am sorry but this sounds like a description of a guy who was sooo drunk? And who doesnt felt attraction??
"We met during a frat party on campus and had a drunken hook-up. My long-term girlfriend had told me earlier that day she wanted to be free and enjoy her college experience. I was heartbroken, drowning my sorrows, and in walks Ana. This cutie, with long, curly blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, and legs that went on for days."
H sleeps with ow almost immediately after a breakup (if even it's called that ), gets ow pregnant and raises the kid in the same town he fell in love with h. And she has to see the kid who is a spitting image of her mother everyday since she's the school principal.
Oh and he's on good terms with ow and even invites her to the town to raise the kid too. Yayy.
Obv h has to be pathetic and have no love life or sex life and stays celibate except for him and he had no problems sleeping with ow, saving grace (or not) was that it was only once.
And he describes in great detail how the sex with ow went and how she got pregnant, so you know just in case h had any doubt.
If only i had a dime everytime H loves h so much that he sticks his dick into the first available person, I'd be very rich
How to go into the book and offer money to the FMC for a backbone transplant? Anyone knows how? Or maybe I can just offer the author a misogyny check for still viewing female characters as the saint of celibacy virginal mother Theresa of purity?
What is so wrong in giving FMCs a sex life? A GREAT sex life? Moving on from dickwads MMCs? Finding love again? Instead they have to remain doormat because they are in a 2nd chance trope where only men can get it, have a life, have fun, have sex, and in the end still get the “love of their life”.
Lemon has only loved one man in her life until one night changed everything and she feels like he betrayed her and their love. Years later even though they live in the same town she wants nothing to do with however that decision will be taken out of her hands when his daughter Mari begins living with him and she is the principal at the school where his daughter will attend.
Wade acknowledges that he accepts some responsibility for what happened with Lemon but feels she does as well. As much as he wants a second chance with Lemon, he must put his daughter first but it might also give him the opportunity to show Lemon that what tore them apart doesn’t have to keep them apart.
Even though you can understand how hurt Lemon is, she also needs to make peace with the past and stop punishing Wade for what happened. The feelings between them haven’t diminished over time and I enjoyed seeing them find their way back to each other, angst and all.
Endless Summer Love is the 8th book in the Magnolia Grove series. I have really enjoyed this series so far. This one involves Lemon and Wade. I will admit that this one wasn't my favorite of the series. The entire conflict between the couple hinged on whether they were on a break or not. I had flashbacks of Ross and Rachel from Friends and their constant fight over that very thing. It really got old and I thought Lemon was a bit unreasonable. So instead of talking it out with the man, she just chose to avoid him for years. I wish that part was shorter in the book. It dragged out too long and left little room for the couple to spend really talking things out and getting to know how they had changed over the years. I did love Wade, however. What an awesome dad he was to Goldie. I did like the ending and I think it's worth reading. I hope Ana gets her own HEA. That woman deserves it.
We are back in Magnolia Grove for Lemon and Wade’s story.
Wade is our single dad and the town's favorite landscaper. His life is in for some challenges as his daughter comes from Florida to live with him full time. His first challenge is the school Principal, the one who got away. However, both Lemon and Wade have different tales to tell in that story.
While not my favorite book in the series, I did enjoy Wade and Lemon’s journey to overcome their history and, with the help of Goldie, figure out a second chance. Wade is an amazing father, and the town extras do keep the spirit of Magnolia Grove alive.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review
5 Star Review Endless Southern Love (Magnolia Grove #8) by Heidi McLaughlin
Heidi McLaughlin is a relatively new author to me but what I have read I have enjoyed. I couldn’t wait to dive into Endless Southern Love which was a good addition to the series.
I love my visits to Magnolia Grove, Alabama. This is single dad to eight year old Mari, Wade Jenkins story and the woman who captured his heart, Lemon Walsh. This was a well written, entertaining read that ticked all the boxes for me.
Wade and Lemon were high school sweethearts...until Lemon wanted a break and Wade did something to end them permanently. They haven't spoken since, even though Lemon has returned to their small town. What will it take for long lost lovers to reconnect?.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So the premise of this book was that the FMC asked for a break from her BF because of pressure from other college students. The very same night she did this, the MMC got drunk and had a ONS with OW who ended up pregnant, and he raised the baby with her, although they never married or lived together. He stayed friends with the OW, but eventually wanted a second chance with FMC, who had never been with anyone but the MMC. While I don't consider it cheating since the FMC had broken it off with the MMC before he "did the deed" with OW, the outcome of his actions (NOT the daughter, but years later and what he expected the FMC to accept regarding the OW) would turn me away quickly.
It's not my cuppa tea. I'm not interested in reading this because, if it was me, I don't believe I could spend the rest of my life looking at the woman my mate got pregnant the very night we broke up. I would probably feel differently if it hadn't happened so soon after the breakup. If he'd found someone else, got married, had a relationship with the OW, and then divorced, it shouldn't have been an issue. But the fact that he didn't even wait 24 hours before sleeping with a stranger, he only proved her classmates were right about him. I mean, it's great he had a good relationship with his baby mama, but to expect the FMC to accept the OW in her life on a daily basis? It would be a slap in the face, but that's my opinion, so I probably will avoid this. Who knows?
Endless Southern Love by Heidi McLaughlin is the eighth book in the Magnolia Grove Series. I’m loving everything about this anthological series. Each book is written by a different author, so for starters you get different styles of writing and storytelling along with the sweetheart vibes that come with small town romances! I’m a fan! And adding Heidi McLaughlin to this line-up of authors made me become an even greater fan!!
Heidi McLaughlin takes us on an emotional roller coaster in Endless Southern Love.
Lemon thought she had her life all planned out. Finish college, start a career, marry the love of her life, buy their dream home, and then fill it with kids. But those dreams came to a crashing halt when she let her insecurities get the best of her and decided to take a break from her relationship. Now, seven years of dodging he who shall not be named, later she is forced to face Wade Jenkins head on when he enrolls his seven year old daughter in Magnolia Grove Elementary. Will she be able to endure the heartbreak and regret, or will she go running for the hills. Only time will tell.
Wade Jenkins never got over losing the love of his life. He tried, which resulted in the most precious thing he holds closest to his heart, his daughter. His daughter may be just what Wade needs to get Lemon to see him for the man he is, and the man he’s always been. The man who is still hopelessly devoted and helplessly in love with a woman who won’t get him a seconds glance.
My Thoughts:
Heidi McLaughlin brought me to tears with Endless Southern Love! It’s been a long time since I had to wipe my eyes while reading a novel. That just goes to show how truly invested I was! I couldn’t put this one down!!
Let’s start with Wade Jenkins. Wade is Magnolia Grove’s very own landscaper. He’s built his business from the ground up, and sacrificed a lot to get to where he is right now. And he couldn’t be any more proud of himself if he tried. I loved this man’s ambition! But there are more facets to his personality that I adored. For starters, I loved how caring this man is. He wears his love on his sleeve, works hard, and loves with his whole heart. There wasn’t a single moment in this novel when Wade Jenkins’ character let me down.
And then we have Lemon Walsh. Ohhh, Lemon. What am I going to do with you! Lemon also has a great work ethic, but her work ethic comes from the foundation of hiding her heart away. You know the saying a busy mind is a happy mind. Well Lemon works to fill her time and her mind. I do have to say, typically when I find myself angry over a character, it’s the male lead in the story. This time around, however, I felt so much anger towards Lemon. All of this could have been avoided if she would have set her pride to the side and talked to Wade. But then it wouldn’t be an emotional novel if that were to have happened.
I loved Wade’s character and the fact that he’s a loving father. His little girl is the most precious person in the world to him, and it shows. My heart melted for this man. But on another stance, my heart also broke for Lemon and the regret she was forced to relive over and over again every time she saw Wade’s daughter. Herein lies the reasoning behind why I dropped a star on my rating. I rated Endless Southern Love 4 stars due to Lemon’s character. There were a few moments that I felt her character’s maturity levels were younger than her actual age. I wanted more from these moments, where conversations were had instead of attitude. She was the one that set all this in motion, but yet, I felt there were moments when she was trying to get him to apologize to her. I don’t know. These moments felt a little forced to me. I wanted them to fully work things out instead of having sex and then bam, where together again. Intimacy is an important part of a relationship, sure, but you have to also be able to talk through situations without intimacy.
Overall, I really did enjoy this novel. I just needed a little more from certain moments to boost my rating from a 4 star to a full 5 star read. I do have to say, I loved Wade Jenkins’ character so much! I need more main characters like him in my reading material! Definitely made this novel sexy and sweet! I can’t wait to read more from this series!
I feel for those poor women who nowadays, in a world that is so progressed and equality is everything, still behave like doormats, like pathetic losers and settle for so little. The heroine asked the hero a pause, because they went to different college. I know, wrong. She should have known better. She ignores him and his calls and oh, the poor heartbroken man! The same night or maybe the night after he goes out gets drunk and impregnates another woman. Ha! So the heroine was right! His love was so sos strong that it took him all of …7 hours? 24 hours? To jump in bed with another woman no condom. Oh, and no way he admits he cheated! No, he technically didn’t, but moved on at speed light. So the heroine was right to doubt his so great love. And the worst part is, the heroine came back in that lil quaint sad town where he lives, and she deduces to work there as the principal of primary school. Of course eventually she meets his lil girl. I won’t even go there. The kid is innocent but I hated that the heroine didn’t move on, I hated that she didn’t even go on one date in all her college years, but how does an author make this bs possible, in this time and age? And why? What is the sense of all this? That a woman is so sick that she is unable to move on or to at least try to move on, to feel any attraction for some young nice college student, can’t she? Because this is not the behavior of a sane and properly functioning young woman, this is pathetically pathological. Yes, she needs, needed therapy, long ago, eight years and she’s still there, hating the hero and pining after him. She’s deranged. It makes me think of that amazing romance written two hundred years ago or so, by Dickens, where poor miss havisham lived locked inside her house after decades still in her wedding dress and all the clock stopped in the hour where her fiance had just jilted her. I remember I was 19 and that was one of the first books I had to read for my English literature classes and I was so shocked about it, thinking that such a behavior was so quaint and vintage and old. But nope. I was wrong. Apparently there are still so many women who stop their clock on the day their man betrayed them and nothing, not even two hundred years, fights for equality, queer generation, feminism, discussions about the non consensual kiss of Snow White can change the fact that women are fundamentally, that sad, unhinged and unstable little miss havisham inside. What else can I say. The hero claims there was no other woman beside that one, and we thank god or else who knows how many kids the idiot would have fathered. Of course I didn’t like the book, not the style per se but the double standard, the pathetic attempt to justify what was really a sad excuse of a man and to magnify his bravery because he took care of his drunken mistake, and the usual loser woman who settles for the one who betrayed her without even experiencing another man. I’m done.
References of domestic violence. Single father, Wade Jenkins is Magnolia Grove’s landscaping heartthrob, mowing lawns shirtless. He is unprepared when his seven-year-old daughter Marigold “Goldie” Jenkins who lives with her mother, Anastasia, in Jacksonville, comes to live with him. After an abusive incident with her husband, Franco, she is hospitalised and asks Wade to take Goldie with him.
Ever since she began school, he’s only had her part-time during the summer and every other holiday. Every time he returns her to Ana, he considers uprooting his business, selling his home in Alabama, and moving to Florida to see Goldie more regularly.
While Wade is thrilled to have his daughter full-time, there’s one little issue . . .the elementary school principal, Lemon Walsh. During her senior year of college she allowed herself to be convinced that she was better off single. Calls weren’t being returned, and when they were, there were accusations. The conversations deteriorated into fights, and witnessing how her best friend and roommate Leslie was with her boyfriend, she yearned for some balance and normalcy and asked for a break.
Convinced she didn’t need him, persuaded by so-called ‘friends’ that all boys in a fraternity cheated, she told him she wanted to take a break and cried for days. So did he. He cried and pled with her. The voicemails and texts gutted her. Only she found out that the night they broke up he slept with Ana. Of course, she didn’t find out until she realised that she missed him and wanted him to forgive her, it was then that he admitted that he was going to be a father. She couldn’t imagine rebuilding a relationship as he was in the process of having a child with someone else.
Eight years later, Lemon is consumed by the past, celibate and harbouring feelings of bitterness, resentment, betrayal and jealousy. Wade moved back after graduation, Lemon did not immediately return but remained in North Carolina for her masters. Years of anguish and sorrow, she does everything in her power to avoid him. Goldie favours Ana, except she has his hair colour. They had plans for a future. To get married, buy a house, and have kids. Then things happened. Not in that order and not with her. If Ana hadn’t gotten pregnant, he firmly believes they would now be married, raising their own family.
Wade never intended to hurt Lemon, but being young and stupid, when the love of your life tells you they don’t want to be with you, you react impulsively changing the trajectory of your life. If only he’d made different decisions before changing their lives forever.
Ana moves to Magnolia Grove and approaches Lemon, the woman she’s held in contempt for years feeling bitterness and betrayal that their daughter should have been hers and Wade’s.
"This was a really cute story about forgiveness and second chances. Wade and Lemon once were, but a rip in time drove them apart. Now faced with having to interact, all of their feelings come rushing back. Their love didn't die, it just went on a break Add in a little girl that Wade had with someone else and you can feel the hurt. These are characters that you want as your best friends. I loved the relationship that Wade basically has with everyone; open, honest and forthright. Lemon needs some soul searching, to be okay with the Wade of today and all that comes with him. I loved how they came together for each other and for Goldie. This is one of those stories that will fill your heart with love." ~Cindy
"Endless Southern Love delivers a heartfelt romance that thrives on small-town charm, emotional tension, and captivating characters. The novel centers on Wade Jenkins, a single dad and Magnolia Grove’s resident landscaping heartthrob, and his spirited daughter, Goldie. Wade’s life is thrown into a new dynamic when Goldie moves in with him full-time, a shift that stirs both excitement and challenges, especially when it comes to dealing with Goldie’s elementary school principal, Lemon Walsh.McLaughlin’s depiction of small-town life is vivid and engaging, filled with quirky side characters and a close-knit community that enhances the emotional stakes. Wade and Lemon’s chemistry simmers, rooted in mutual respect and personal growth, and the novel takes time to explore themes of redemption, second chances, and stepping outside one’s comfort zone.
For fans of sweet, emotional romances with a dose of southern charm and family dynamics, Endless Southern Love is a satisfying read. Wade and Lemon’s journey to love is both tender and authentic, making this a standout in the contemporary romance genre. " ~Stephanie
This one got me. It's incredible. There is a domestic violence warning for this book. But I feel it's tastefully written and falls to the background. It basically just touches on things that have happened without all the mess. Wade has his life thrown for a loop 8 years ago when the love of his life demands a break in their relationship. Heartbroken and defeated, he makes a life altering choice that night which changed everything. Lemon thought she was doing what was best. When all her friends put the pressure on for her to break up with her longtime, long distance boyfriend. Things escalate from here and the two try not to cross each other's paths since this fateful night 8 years ago. While they both live in the small town they grew up in. When Wade gets the call to have his daughter move in with him. He wastes no time making it happen. He does everything he can to make his little girl happy. While her mother deals with the consequences of domestic abuse at her husband's hands. This journey is full of twists and turns but fill your heart with joy as they all navigate life together. Making things work as best they can given the situation. Wade and Lemon are truly adorable characters and its so nice to see Ana, the mother of Wade's child be accepted. It's not often in a book you read about everyone making the best out of a situation that could have gone so much worse. Heartbreakingly beautiful. This story has everything you love in a sweet, small town romance with a wonderful hea. Incredible. 5 stars.

𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 by Heidi McLaughlin is the 7th book in the multi-author Magnolia Grove small town romance series, featuring an entertaining single dad, second chance romance for Wade and Lemon. Magnolia Grove’s resident landscaper’s life is thrown for a loop, when his adorable daughter comes to live with him full time. The only problem he needs to deal with is his history with the prickly principal. He never got over her, but she can’t stand the sight of him. Or can she?
I’ve enjoyed this small town series, but I’ll admit this one was an exercise in frustration for me.😆 Lemon honestly tried my patience for much of my book, as she misplaced blame for a rift that she ultimately instigated. Yes, Wade made an impulsive decision once, but it wasn’t wrong. She also committed my greatest pet peeve of not communicating!! However, I’m a weird reader that enjoys that a book provokes that visceral response from me.🤪 Wade, on the other hand, had me swooning the whole time!!😍 He was an amazing dad to Goldie, never gave up on Lemon, and forged an inspiring relationship with his daughter’s mom!! I loved the continuation of the small town vibe with the quirky townspeople. I also enjoyed watching Lemon 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 reach her turning point with Goldie’s help.🥰
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶
Returning to the small town of Magnolia Grove always feels like a warm embrace, and Heidi McLaughlin's "Endless Southern Love" is no exception. Now eight books into this charming series, the stories remain as heartwarming and engaging as ever.
This time, Ms McLaughlin introduces us to Wade, a single dad who has just stepped into his new full-time role when his delightful seven-year-old daughter, Mari, comes to live with him. However, Wade's newfound responsibilities bring him face to face with an unexpected challenge: Lemon, the school principal and his one true love from eight years ago.
Lemon wasn’t prepared to encounter Wade again, and though there aren’t many bumpy roads in Magnolia Grove, the journey for these two is paved with misunderstandings, old wounds, and a path to forgiveness. As Wade and Lemon navigate their past and present, McLaughlin masterfully weaves a tale of second chances that feels both authentic and touching.
"Endless Southern Love" is a perfect addition to the Magnolia Grove series, delivering a satisfying and heartfelt second-chance romance that will leave readers rooting for Wade and Lemon until the very end. McLaughlin’s ability to capture the essence of small-town life and the complexities of love makes this book a must-read for fans of the series and newcomers alike.
Wade Jenkins had one drunk night after a breakup with his one true love high school sweetheart, ended up making him a dad. having his daughter randomly during the summer and school and co- parenting great with her mom he can't even imagine what happened when he gets a random phone call from the emergency room regarding his daughters' mother. so now Wade has his daughter full time while her mother figures things out with her husband who isn't the nice guy Wade thought he was. So now he is having to add bathtime, a school routine and everything else to make his daughter more of his number 1 then when she was only around when she was visiting, but his parents are wonderful to help. One thing Wade didn't think about is the love of his life was now the principal at the school his daughter now attends, and he is having to face her daily. its Lemon's worst nightmare having to face Wade after 8 years of pain and avoiding him in their small town. Will these two find the love they once had for each other again, or will Lemon let the fact that someone else had his baby before she did get in the way of her happiness. omg this was such a fun cute, typical small town high school sweetheart story.
I'm gonna start this review with a rant - Lemon...girl...I can't remember the last time FMC enraged me to a point where I wanted to throw my Kindle into a wall. She was so fixated on blaming him for everything that has happened in the last 8 years, when in reality she was mostly to blame. I wish Wade didn't love her and found some else for him. But the heart wants what it wants and he loved her so I guess i have to live with that.
Wade was a great dad to his little girl and his relationship with her mother made him that more attractive. He's been trying to move on with his life, which is hard when the one woman you always loved, would rather walk into fire than talk to you. But with his daughter coming to live with him, Lemon is pushed hard to looking into herself and come to terms if she can let go off the (misguided) hurt and start fresh, with or without Wade.
As said I wish he ended up with someone who deserved him more but at the end of the book he was happy and so am (kinda) I.

Endless Southern Love by Heidi McLaughlin is the seventh book in the Magnolia Grove series – 12 books by 12 different authors. This book features a small-town single dad, second chance romance story for Wade and Lemon. Wade and Lemon were high school sweethearts who had plans of being together forever, but Lemon made a decision in college that completely changed the trajectory of their relationship. Wade is a single dad to seven-year-old Goldie, and she comes to live with him with full time. Lemon is the elementary school principal at Goldie’s school, which ultimately results in Wade and Lemon connecting again. Although Lemon annoyed me at times, I adored the dynamic between the two of them! I especially loved how Goldie seemed to bring them together. The chemistry between the two of them was electrifying and kept me wanting more!
Endless Southern Love has a bit of everything in it – drama, witty banter, passion, and gossipy old ladies. I LOVED this book. A small town vibe with a single dad second chance romance will get me every time!
Thank you Heidi McLaughlin and Enticing Journey for allowing me to review this ARC!
"Endless Southern Love" by Heidi McLaughlin is a heartwarming tale that will sweep you off your feet. The charming Wade is every bit the swoon-worthy hero you'd expect, especially when he's sharing tender moments with his spirited daughter, Mari. Their father-daughter bond is pure magic, and watching Wade navigate the challenges of single parenthood while trying to reconnect with Lemon Walsh, the woman who broke his heart, adds emotional depth to the story.
The chemistry between Wade and Lemon is palpable, making every interaction between them a page-turner. Lemon, now the elementary school principal, is forced to confront her past when Wade and Mari enter her life in the most unexpected way. Their journey is filled with steamy encounters, awkward moments, and a dash of small-town drama that keeps the story lively and engaging. With each turn of the page, I eagerly anticipated what would happen next, and McLaughlin doesn't disappoint. "Endless Southern Love" is a delightful, feel-good read that will leave you with a smile, making it a great addition to any book lover's collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!

I love Magnolia Falls series. Every single one of them has been an amazing small-town romance that you will fall in love with.
Lemon and Wade had a love story that have come along for years. But when they were in college, Lemon decided she wanted to be single and broke up with Wade. Wade heartbroken got drunk and one thing led to another and since then Lemon wont forgive him.
Now Lemon is the school principal in Magnolia Falls and Wade is the landscaper, but she avoids him at all cost. Until Wade’s daughter enrolls in her school. Now she seems to can't escape Wade and his daughter…
There is a lot of hurt in this story. But what I didn’t understand was why Lemon couldn’t move on from something that happened almost 8years ago. No matter how many times Wade apologized, se wouldn’t let it go… She had to deal with her own hurt and closure first before she could move on and find her happily ever after 😊
Not my Favorite in the series, but still one that I enjoyed reading 😊
Wade is single father who runs his own landscaping business in Magnolia Grove. Lemon is the elementary school principle who despises everything about Wade as they have a painful past. They haven't even tried to put that past to rest because she has no desire to do so, but things take a turn when his daughter ends up going to her school. I know Lemon was unreasonable in her dealings with Wade, but I also totally understood her actions with the exception of one that I won't reveal. Lemon knows she has to face that past especially since she's never moved on from Wade but it's not going to be easy to get past the hurt she still harbors. One thing I do know, Wade never got over her either & he would do anything in order to get a second chance but will he be successful at this task? I LOVED every minute of this beautiful second chance story as I was all in my feels as I devoured it in short order. Magnolia Grove is definitely a magical place that I'll never get tired of visiting so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Lemon and Wade’s story. Wade has some live changes going on when he gets his daughter full time and has to deal with the school and the principal. The principal is Lemon and they have a history. Could this be a second chance for them? Can they overcome the past and move forward around the misunderstandings that they still are having? Will one little girl be the one to really bring them together? Will they take the second chance and build a future?
I loved returning back to Magnolia Grove and being immersed in this town. This town is a place I would love to live!
Lemon and Wade had a long-standing relationship up till the point that Lemon asked for a break while they were trying long-distance while she was in college.
After that night and the events of it Lemon and Wade avoid each other at all costs but that's not possible when Wade's daughter moves to town and is enrolled in the school Lemon works at.
This was a second chance romance which I do love to read.
There were a few things that are holding me back from this being five stars and that's that it felt like Lemon was being accused of being the issue in the could be relationship and rif that happened for 8 years but Wade was the one who hooked up with someone else and had a child. I feel like Lemon should've stood her ground some more and Wade should've done some major grovelling. I feel like there should've also been more buildup to their reconciliation.
Wade and Lemon were the "it" couple in HS. Then they went their separate ways in college and both have regretted it ever since.
Things from their past prevent them from moving forward together and it was so frustrating and heartbreaking all at the same time. I will say that Lemon drove me crazy for much of the story as she didn't take ownership of her part in the split. BUT she was also real in her feelings even when it was hard.
Goldie, Wade's daughter, was such a cutie and his co-parenting relationship deserves an A+. I am a sucker for a single dad trope and add in second chance romance and I am all in.
This one had me tearing up in some places as I felt these two characters' pain throughout the story and you can't help but hope that Lemon can just move past the hurt!! Ugh!!
Enjoyable read and this continues to be an entertaining series.
I voluntarily requested and read an uncorrected advance reader copy.
This story and its characters stole my heart. This story was everything I didn't realize I needed until I absorbed each and every word. Wade and Lemon's story broke my heart, two people that were meant to be together torn apart by a rash decision and a moment that could never be changed. Eight years later and these two still hold the love in their hearts for each other. However, when what broke them apart is something you will need to face each and every day, it will force Lemon to face the hurt and Wade to finally see things through her eyes. Endless Southern Love is overflowing with emotion that had me crying my heart out at times and then smiling like there was no tomorrow at others. A story that was realistic that had you feeling everything soul deep. A beautiful love story that shows sometimes we take detours, but our heart will always know where home is.
