Quando uma casca de banana cai em cima da Pica-Bois, ela acusa o Quim de a ter atirado. Mas o Macaco Rabugento garante que não foi ele. Afinal, quem atirou isto? A primeira novela gráfica do Macaco Rabugento.
First, Oxpecker takes everyone’s attention off of Jim’s magic trick. Later that night, while he’s trying to sleep, she & her boyfriend wake him up by being all lovey-dovey & loud! Once again, someone messes with Jim when he’s trying to sleep & he doesn’t like it it! I don’t blame him! I don’t want to be woken up or be kept awake, either! SOMEONE throws a banana peel at them. I wonder who??
Jim is banished from the jungle & Norman the Gorilla comes with him. They go to the desert & meet its inhabitants, eat Butt Ants & learn why the desert is so hot during the day & cold at night.
Turns out, Jim DID throw that banana peel & he lied about it. He should’ve just told the truth from the beginning & let them know & told them to move on & find another place to be lovey-dovey at!
I also have a question about that one little chimp in Jim’s family. Why are there always flies buzzing around him??

I think it's interesting that grumpy monkey has been expanded into a graphic novel. I liked the insert with facts about great apes but then it really annoys me that they call the chimpanzee a monkey because chimpanzees are NOT monkeys (In case you don't believe me: https://chimphaven.org/chimp-blog/chi....) . Like either get your science facts right or don't put them in at all.
While I liked the break with the facts, I didn't like the break with the recipe. I think that should have been at the back of the book instead. I like the message about realizing when you make a mistake and apologizing and all that but I really wasn't a fan of all the name calling (mostly nincompoop). Not sure this will be a purchase for my library.
A graphic novel for beginner readers. It’s an okay book, but has quite a bit of potty humor in it. There is a little bit of lovey-dovey talk between a bird couple. Also, included is a little bit of evolutionary talk (humans are primates like apes). Some good things about this book: (1) It is a story about getting along with others even when what people do annoys you. (2) It shows how to confess your misdeeds to others. (3) It includes a no-bake recipe that looks like it could be a good snack for kids to learn to make.
A winner for sure, and in my opinion the best entry in the Grumpy Monkey series yet.
Jim and Norman have another adventure together. This time brought on by Jim's meanspiritedness in throwing a banana at someone and name calling. But leaving the jungle isn't so great when you end up in the desert, a climate that Jim and Norman are 100% not built for. Looks like an apology is in order.
Plenty of laughs to go around with a few fart and butt jokes. The Langs are hilarious.
I picked this up at my local library because I have a student who loves monkeys and bananas, and I was thrilled when I actually read through it myself! This is a fun and silly tale about taking accountability (something that was so perfect for that particular student, I couldn't believe the coincidence!) and accepting when we make a mistake. This was also the first book that was long enough for that student to use a bookmark, and that was a very fun moment for both of us. I highly recommend!
Jim Panzee's experiences learning about apologizing to others and treating others kindly is an important lesson for kids to learn. Because there are many illustrations in this chapter book, I would recommend this book to those who enjoy humor and are merging into reading chapter books.
Good. I loved it so much it was a little funny where he threw the banana on the picture it was so cute and I liked the part where the cook book part I want to go get it with my my mom and get the ingredients. I want to read the book again 5 stars. I want to read it again!
Surprisingly and wonderfully droll and deadpan. I appreciate how the unique personalities of even the supporting animals come out. Indicates well thought out characters.
Oh my goodness this book is so much fun! It's fun, funny, laugh out loud and even informative! I love the facts and recipe too! The art is just FUN too! This just made my day!
