Welcome back to Ames Crossing! The spooky riverside village that boasts paranormal phenomena, curses, ghosts, and a family of wise-women who work to keep the balance of good and evil in check.
Angela Beaumont is looking for a quieter, less-stressful lifestyle. Her job as a nurse in a trauma center in a big city hospital has left her burned out, and she decides to return to her hometown of Ames Crossing. However, before she can even unpack, she happens across an accident scene, and is on hand to save a man’s life. Ryder Desroches is tall, blonde, outrageously handsome and causes heads to turn wherever he goes. While he adores the ladies, true love it seems...has been elusive. After his motorcycle accident, he becomes fascinated with the red-haired angel who saved him. Angela has no time for Ryder Desroches, but fate keeps throwing them together, and she begins to see him in a new light. Unfortunately for Angela, the ghosts on the Marquette mansion property are restless, and one of them seems determined to communicate with her. While she is a daughter of Midnight, Angela is still new to the world of witchcraft. It’s going to take all of her strength, help from a few new friends, and drawing upon her heritage to deal with a terrifying haunting and an epic romance all at the same time.

Read these 8 books in order. Each book grows and develops a family. Disruptions, death, ghosts, children and love. Magic, so much magic! A well woven tell of devastating loss, stolen love, misfortune and miss understandings sets the world building up and leads the primary characters to their paths in life. These ladies are tough, intelligent and have great skills. Love is in the mix. Adult scenes but appropriate to the stories. Enjoyed reading these. Like bing reading!
As usual, Ellen had me “turning” the pages at a clip, and checking to make sure I had enough charge to finish my kindle book. I feel just a little sadness at the end of the Daughters of Midnight, but with the tales of Golden sisters coming up, am ultimately happy. I have enjoyed the Midnights’ stories and recommend the whole series. I will definitely go back for a reread of the series.
I have always been a huge fan of the daughters of midnight series. This one was fantastic. I hate to see it end. I've always loved the setting of being in the Midwest since I grew up in Missouri and Kansas. Thank you so much for bringing this story to life and sharing such a magical place with us.
This is a decent, if formulaic read. The thing that’s has bothered me the most for the last three books are the editing errors/misses. In this book there were2 misspelled words by the time I was 7% in, and the most glaring errors after that is the winery is Tres Amis and by the 16% mark it was changed to “Aims”.
I was expecting more. It was a nice story, but didn't have the usually tension and danger that the rest of the books have. Sorry it ends a series, it was like inviting friends and family into your life.
What a fantastic ending to one of my favorite series! Angela's story is filled with love, adventure, mystery and magic. I look forward to the new series, it will be interesting to see what adventures the Golden sisters share with us!
A very fun and entertaining series topped off with a great finale. I’m so glad they found the…oh, no spoilers! It was great to see all of the pieces fall into place.
Always a good story line, I live in the region of where story is going on at and I love that she includes things from the real world into her fictional town. Look forward to reading more in the spin-off about the area
