This story approached the sub/dom relationship from a different angle, one that I haven't come across before. Having the submissive guide and instruct the dominant on how his role is to be played was different and entertaining. The way the story switched back and forth between how the couple first met that morning and their amorous activities was a fun touch as well. The heat and connection between the characters escalated to a sizzling hot crescendo, making for a thoroughly enjoyable read.

I liked the way the author set the scenes in this novella, building our knowledge of the characters. Emily is younger than the man she meets, Richard, but she knows what she wants. Richard proves to be a willing learner and soon becomes an imaginative partner. The genre is specific and the descriptions of their activities are explicit, satisfying for readers who enjoy the inclusion of equipment in their erotica. I moved straight on to the next book in the series to find out how their unusual dynamic develops.

Emily and Richard meet at a munch where Emily sets out to seduce Richard. He contacts her which then sets up a date. Richard wants to learn Dominant/submissive playing correctly as well as BDSM. Emily teaches him as they go.

I liked this story. I liked that permission was not taken for granted. I appreciated that Richard asked first plus that he admitted he was new to kink. Emily is an interesting character. She teaches from the bottom position. This may be short, but it is hot. I look forward to the next chapter of this tale.
