Rate this book
Paige Southern Belle, Heiress, Virgin No More…

I fell for the devil, but our happily ever after is a tarnished thing that’s difficult to come by when the fates are involved. I thought my worries were over when I married the ruthless king of the corporate underworld—until he stole my legacy and crushed my dreams of running the hotel empire that’s been in my family for generations. Heartbroken, I managed to get away. Just when I’ve given up hope of a happily ever after, he’s after me, demanding we give our shattered marriage a second chance. I don’t think my heart can take another catastrophe of the Hayes magnitude. He will always be business first, and I deserve so much more than that. I don’t know if he is capable of changing something so ingrained in his nature, not even for love.

Hayes Disgraced Businessman, Dream Killer, Utterly Obsessed With His Wife…

I finally found a woman worth fighting for, but my boundless greed ruined everything. As my world crumbles with the unwanted separation from my wife, a devastating industrial accident puts me and my brothers in the hot seat, and the return of a business rival threatens to destroy everything we’ve built. Paige and I have a shot at building something beautiful together—if I can just convince her I’m worth all the risk that comes with it. This will be my greatest challenge yet, and she’s worth every painful step to show her I can change.

A delightful Southern spin on Hades & Persephone

Paige and Hayes are HOT!! This book is the conclusion to The Bourbon Bride and was a delightful wrap up of their story. The chemistry between these two is HAWT!! Adrian is a talented writer who beautifully captures southern culture, colloquialisms, and charm. I gobbled this up and left no crumbs. I can’t wait to read more about Xander and Peyton.

This was the second book and the conclusion I know I was waiting for, for Paige and Hayes! I think Paige grew a lot as a character in this one. She developed more of a spine (but not totally which I get based on her upbringing) and actually stood up for herself. Hayes was Hayes.. typically dreamy. I think he got off the hook a bit with the conflict, but they’re so cute together and he’s so totally obsessed with her that I wasn’t mad at it. Great ending and wrapped up all the ends for me! Can’t wait to read Zander’s story!

Big thank you to Greys Promotions and Adrian R. Hale for the ARC!

Okay,I enjoyed this more than the first book!
It was full of swoon worthy moments and I just loved Hayes!
He needs to grovel and bring back Paige but can he do that while also taking care of his business?
We had some great chemistry in this book and I just loved the conclusion.

What can I say? I am a lifetime fan of Adrian’s writing now. The second book in The Southern Gods series was even better than the first. We see Paige grow more confident and finally standing up for what she wants and needs, especially against her Mama, Hurricane Caroline. Hayes grows too. He becomes more understanding and caring of others and I’m so happy that they got the wedding and support they deserve. Not only did we get the conclusion to Hayes and Paige we all wanted, but we got to see more or Zander and Payton. I’m even curious now to see how Octavius Rex plays into the story line. I look forward to Zander and his comical personality as well as Payton and his more serious but playful personality. 😍😍

Favorite quotes:

“It’s my turn to bow and scrape. I owe that much to her. I owe her everything.”

“Hayes is my dark prince, the king of the underworld, and he’s claimed me body, heart, and soul.”

“Anyway, why are you calling? Shouldn’t you be snorting Christmas cookies off Paige’s ass or something?”

“I am infatuated with the woman. She haunts every thought, bewitches me with every word, beguiles me with a single look. I am obsessed with her, and my desire is fathomless. I want to wrap myself around her, worship her body, and claim her soul. I want her to know every aching need I have for her, and for her to make me feel even more in turn. I have an unhealthy fixation with my wife, and I’m damn pleased about it.”

I loved this second book in the Southern Gods duology!

The Bourbon Bargain picks right up from The Bourbon Bride cliffhanger. This book leans even more heavily into a Southern Hades and Persephone retelling, which I absolutely loved.

This book was FULL of swoon-worthy moments. Hayes has some groveling to do, and ohhhhmy does he ever make up for his mistakes. Although he’s still very morally gray, he shows that he’s capable of change and willing to do whatever it takes to be the best husband that he can be to Paige. The spice in this book was spicing for sure 🔥🔥🔥

I also loved seeing Paige’s continued character development. Thanks to Hayes’s encouragement, she finally grows a backbone and stands up to her mother. That woman has absolutely no redeeming qualities, but I can appreciate the themes of reconciliation all around. Paige matured in this book and her previous subservience dissolved into a discerning empathic nature.

Here’s one of my favorite Hayes quotes from The Bourbon Bargain:

“Angel, I will always choose you. No matter where you go, or what happens in this life, I will pick you every damn day. I will never stop loving you, no matter what.” 🥹

I absolutely loved this duology and I can’t wait to read Zander’s story next!

This was the 2nd book in Adrian’s Southern Gods series. Let me tell you how SAD I am that Paige and Hayes story is over! I am still head over heels. The first book was so good that I had to read more and here we are finishing it the next day! I cannot tell you how much I love this series so far, I’m just like lost of words lol. 5 stars from me all the way🫶

I absolutely love love Paige and Hayes relationship and how much they’ve fallen in love with one another. They both have grown so much in their short time together. Hayes continues to show more of his sweet gentle side while Paige becomes more independent and really finds herself. Mama continues to be a pain and I still don’t like her😂 I loved the suspense, the way Paige and Hayes overcame their obstacles, THE SPICE. The spice was 🤌🤌🤌🤌

I cannot wait to read Zander’s story! May 23 cant come soon enough! Please go read this series!!💝

A Riveting Rollercoaster of Love, Loss, and Redemption

Adrian R. Hale’s “Bourbon Bargain” is an enthralling tale of love, betrayal, and second chances that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. With a resilient spirit and unwavering determination, she faces the challenges of her struggling marriage head-on, seeking redemption and a second chance at happiness.

Hayes: A cunning businessman with a troubled past, Hayes is determined to win back the love of his life and prove that he’s capable of change. As he navigates the intricate world of corporate power and family dynamics, he grapples with his own demons while striving to build a future with Paige.

This book boasts

🔥 Forbidden Love
👑 Southern Belle Heiress
📉 Family Legacy Struggles
💔 Heartbreak and Healing
🏰 Legacy of Wealth and Power

I really did not like this one as much as the first.

For starters, I was expecting like and whole book grovel. And there was some groveling but… she had basically forgiven him 25% of the way through the book.

The rest of the book focused on Paige fixing her relationship with her mother and someone trying to sabotage Hayes’ business.

Which would have been fine except it ended in the most anticlimactic way possible. I felt like the author was setting us up for some huge stuff and then didn’t know how to resolve it so she just… picked the easiest way out. I was so let down by the ending.

The stuff in between was nice. Spice was good, watching Hayes and Paige’s relationship develop was enjoyable and seeing Paige learn what she wanted and ask for it, demand it even, was refreshing.

But honestly? I think the first two books could have been one.

The Bourbon Bargain takes us back a couple of days after the event of The Bourbon Bride. Did I expect Paige to make Hayes work his ass to get her back? Yes, but he fights dirty on this one. I would have given it to him too. They have a second chance to build their relationship right.

The book was written well, and I am still fond of the couple and their development even if we have a third-act breakup. They demonstrate that relationships aren't always perfect. There was more development to Paige's character with her need to make everyone happy over her happiness. She gets more assurance and FINALLY puts her foot down for her mom (still work to do 😅). The scene with the sex toys and Hayes giving the lead to Paige during sex was hot AF. 🥵

The book makes me laugh so much. 😂 There are so many iconic quotes.

In this book, you will find:

💵Billionaire Romance
📅Age Gap (15 years)
🥈Trouble Marriage
🚫No Cheating
🫠“My Wife”
✌️Dual POV
🍑Butt play
🌶️Spice

The Bourbon Bargain by Adrian R. Hale is book Two in the Southern Gods Series. This continues the story of Paige Fairchild and Hayes Olsen. Their story started in the First book "The Bourbon Bride" which means you should read that book before starting this one. Paige was devastated from what Hayes had put into motion. Hayes realized to late what he had actually lost and what he had actually wanted. This book has Hayes finding Paige and working to convince her of his mistake along with trying to win her back.

Normally I'm not the biggest fan of extending a couple book. Usually authors do nothing but filler that's not important to the overall story. Not a problem for this author. This book was just as engaging as the first book. Paige and Hayes had more stuff to work through and tackle together as a couple. Paige grew more of a backbone with her mother. I wish I would have gotten Hayes actually going after Liliana and her family, but I hope to see that in the brothers books. I love their wedding and the ending. I can't wait to see Zander and Payton fall for their own beauties.

I’m so happy I didn’t have to wait to get over the cliffhanger from book 1 of this duet. I really enjoyed the timeline of this story - I like that both MCs weren’t so stubborn that they couldn’t get over what had happened at the end of the first book. I really appreciated the united front of them throughout everything else that happened in this book. I think the underlining story that’ll carry out throughout the rest of the series kind of added an additional element I wasn’t expecting. I really enjoyed Hayes and his clear love of Paige. The wedding vows brought tears to my eyes!! I continued to really love Adrian’s writing style and can’t wait to continue the series!!

This book continues the story from "The Bourbon Bride". The book actually starts a couple of weeks from the events of book one.

To be honest, I quite enjoyed this one. Even though Hayes hurt Paige, he took a bit more time for himself to decide how to approach. But his pride was hurt, because she walked away from him. Paige was definitely at a crossroads for a while. She was heartbroken by Hayes's actions, but in the meantime she understood his point.

She looked more mature for her age, and he was more confident in his love towards her.

In this book, I was actually able to see more of them, their struggles as a couple and their love. And the love scenes...they didn't disappoint me, they were really, really hot and steamy 🔥🔥🔥.

Overall, I enjoyed reading "The Bourbon Bargain".

This was a fun ending to The Bourbon Bride. It was a little slower paced than the first book but the issues with Hayes’s company kept the plot moving. I loved seeing Paige and Hayes together and watching them grow stronger together was beautiful. 🥰

The 2nd part of The Bourbon Bride and although I loved the story in the first book I felt this was dragged out a little bit more then it should have been and outcome things just didn't make sense. I was glad we got to finish the story but also felt it could have been turned into a single book instead of dragging it out and adding things that could have been left out.

Paige ran when she found out what Hayes had been keeping from her. Now she's ensconced at her bestie's apartment, wondering what the hell to do with herself. Should she have stayed and given Hayes a chance to explain? Did he even deserve that chance? Can she now live her life without him? Pick up the pieces and move on?

Hayes is beside himself after letting his heart run away from him. Paige is gone and he can't find her. If he ever does find her, he'll grovel until the she lets him back in, forgives him and gives him the second chance he knows he doesn't deserve. Seeing her leave has changed him and he'll prove it to her if he ever sees her again. But has he changed enough to take a step back from his ruthless business dealings? He might have to if he wants to keep his marriage secure.

Hayes Hayes Hayes...damn did that man have some serious groveling to do with Paige. His ruthless behavior drove her away and he allowed her to run, not thinking with his heart, instead with his ego. Thank God he got a little talking to by his brothers and went and got his woman back. I admit to wishing he had groveled a lot more, but at least his groveling was very sincere and heartfelt. And Paige was here for it. She is the one who grew quite a bit here, came into her own and sparkled with love and support from her ruthless hubby. He really didn't change too much, just enough to allow Paige to truly have his heart. I can genuinely say I am so glad this couple managed to mend their marriage - they really deserved the happiness they worked so hard for.

The Bourbon Bargain by Adrian R. Hale, is the second book in the Southern Gods Series, and the conclusion of the story of Paige and Hayes, in the previous book the author leaves us with our hearts in suspense with that ending, here we see a Hayes after that ending trying to find a kind of normality, but without Paige it's almost impossible, and when his brothers make a kind of intervention for him to accept his mistakes, he decides to go to win back his girl. Paige, for her part, is disheartened, and although she understands that she should have allowed Hayes to explain himself, she knows that what he did was not right, now she is trying to find out what she will do with her future when what she was preparing for since she was little it has been taken from his hands. Once they meet again, this couple is willing to do what is necessary to build their relationship in the right way, even despite the vicissitudes and trials that will be presented to them, they will always put their relationship first in order to reach that happy ending.
This story captivated me from the first book, Hayes and her serious and intense character and Paige with her innocence are characters that I adore, and after this story and seeing them develop as a couple and individuals I loved them even more, to this are added the brothers of Hayes, Zander and Payton, and they bring that spark of complicity and comedy to each interaction. I love knowing that this is not the last book and that it's then up to Zander to get his story, for which I will be patiently waiting. If you haven't done so yet, go NOW and look for this series, you're gonna love it. Highly recommended!
*Thanks to Adrian R. Hale and Grey's Promotions for my ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest review*

Altamente Recomendada!

I have to say, I loved the first book in this duet but this one...Ahhh... Just was SOMETHING ELSE as I was in Swoon and Sigh paradise. 😻😻

Hayes and Paige needed that major break to realise the depth of not only their feelings and emotions but to also build back up more strongly their relationship and I WAS BEYOND ECSTATIC TO BE THERE TO EXPERIENCE EACH MOMENT OF THEIR JOURNEY.

I was heartbroken after that ending in book 1 but also I have to confess, I was a bit angry too because of what Hayes did and it just felt like he was still not wholly into this new relationship.
While also somewhere I felt that Paige needed to be a bit more mature and I do understand the age difference between them, yet at some places it had felt like these two needed to come forward from both ends a bit more to meet in between and become a solid couple.

AND THESE NOT ONLY GAVE ME ALL OF THAT - THE MATURITY, THE OBSESSIVE VIBES, THE MADLY IN LOVE FEELS BUT THEIR 🔥 TIMES WERE ALSO SO RAW AND MADE ME FEEL HOW TRULY THEY BELONGED TO EACH OTHER NOW. AHHH....I WISH WE HAD MORE OF THEM.💋

There are also other problems coming on from unknown enemies as Hayes' ruthless nature when it comes to business has not exactly won him browny points amongst his peers and especially those businesses he conquered.

Then there's also a blast from the past, as an old ally turned rival keeps crossing paths with Hayes and it seems suspicious because of recent happenings for sure as to his recurrent appearances.

We also get the much needed face off between Hayes, Paige and Paige's mom who was and is insufferable and needed to understand and accept her daughter's choices especially after how she treated her daughter into forcing her to marry a despicable person. Only if fate hadn't stepped in for Paige, her present would have been way different because of her mom.

Ooohhh.... The hot times between Hayes and Paige were definitely extra spicy and as we get to see them coming closer and becoming the pillar of strength for each other, it makes their intimate times that much more hotter for sure.🔥🔥

Ahhhh.... Hayes and Paige were freaking fire and there's lots of Drama and Wild turns in this one that will keep you glued to the pages. Add in the spice loaded times and we have a stunning unputdownable Swoony ride here for sure. Abso-freaking-lutely loved loved this one.💕💕💕💕💕

The Bourbon Bargain is the second book in Adrian R. Hale's Southern Gods series & picks up shortly after the cliffhanger at the end of The Bourbon Bride.

Paige's life turns upside down when she finds out that Hayes bought
her generational legacy, which has been the most significant aspect of her life & career. This revelation doesn't compare to walking out on Hayes & him not coming after her. Now, Paige has to decide if she can follow her heart & forgive Hayes all under the microscope of the public or walk away permanently.

Hayes is reeling. He never expected Paige to walk away when she learned his initial motivation for marrying her & without allowing him the opportunity to explain. Hayes has to choose between his pride & his heart. He'll need to stop being stubborn & make the first move to earn Paige's forgiveness. Hayes just doesn't know where to begin until Zander & Peyton give him some much-needed (& entertaining) advice.

The banter between the Olsen brothers is hilarious. I love that Adrian weaves the personality traits of their Greek god counterpart, which reflects in their relationship. These personality traits are also evident when the brothers must deal with an onslaught of mishappenings to their global business that impacts their reputations in the business world & the eyes of the public.

What I love most about The Bourbon Bargain is how Paige remains kind to the people who want to see her fail personally, professionally & publicly. Throughout this story, she evolves from the naïve Southern Belle to a young woman with confidence & owning her life. She does this without sacrificing her moral compass or compassion. Some of her growth is attributed to Hayes putting her first. He also teaches her how to take what she wants by being in control. Most of his lessons are steamy. Hayes is Hayes & I appreciate everything about his character.

I can't forget the Atlanta Haute List. Adrian introduces the Gossip Girl-esq. blog in The Bourbon Bride & while the blog isn't a prominent part of the series so far, it does depict how much social media can sway the public view & how eager people are for a story - good or harmful. Plus, the Atlanta Haute List is extremely entertaining.

Adrian wrote a satisfying conclusion to Hayes & Paige's love story. I expect to see them again in Zander & Peyton's stories since Adrian introduces an exciting new storyline in The Bourbon Bargain. We also get a glimpse into Zander's book. I can't wait to see what she'll bring in the next installments of her Southern Gods series.

Give The Bourbon Bargain a read. It isn't a stand-alone book, so read The Bourbon Bride first. Enjoy!

Having waited patiently for this book, I am pleased to announce that it was worth the wait and cliffhanger from the first book, The Bourbon Bride. The Bourbon Bargain is the second book in the Southern God's Series by the author Adrian R. Hale and can not be read as a stand-alone.

Without spoiling too much of this story, The Bourbon Bargain picks up right where book one ends with Hayes messing up. Having learned his lesson, Hayes chases after Paige and grovels hard to get her back. Through this, does he learn the value of loving another and sacrifice. Hopefully, he can fix things with his ex-bestie, Octavius, now that he realizes putting others down for his own success is not always the best idea.

Paige deals with this is a really quick and acceptable manner by which she doesn't let Hayes grovel for too long but forgives him instead, and rather spends that time with the person she dearly loves. I really liked how she deals with this and her family, which portrayed how kind her character actually is.

This book gives us the readers all the good tropes such as an age-gap romance, marriage of convenience, band of brothers, toxic parental figures, and 'good girl' vibes. Overall, this is a great conclusion to Hayes and Paige's lovestory but also leaves space for the other characters' stories to be told, i.e., the ongoing mine debacle, Octavius' interest in the board etc. This gives me hope for an exciting book universe that is being created with these characters, and I look forward to reading future works from the author.

I'd like to thank Adrian R. Hale, as well as Grey's Promotions for the Advanced Reader Copy, it is always greatly appreciated! The Bourbon Bargain releases on the 6th of February 2024.

Paige Olsen thought all of her fears + problems would be gone + solved when she married Hayes Olsen, ruthless king of the corporate underworld, but instead he stole her legacy right out from under her . With nothing left to loose, Paige makes her great escape to get away from all the noise of society clawing at her back . But sure enough Hayes eventually finds her, is demanding for a second chance + is ready to prove to her that he has made the biggest mistake of his life. Paige wants to give him her heart freely but doesn’t know if he can separate that part of his corporate makeup from their relationship .

Hayes Olsen has seriously messed up . His corporate ambitions have clouded his judgement so bad that he lost sight of the thing that is truly most precious to him . Now there is nothing he won’t do to get his wife back . But of course along the way there is a devastating industrial accident that leaves his company on the hot seat + an old business rival that pops up out of no where threatening everything Hayes has built . Can Hayes convince Paige that taking a risk on him is worth it in the end, or will he have to sacrifice a part of him to keep the other ?

Hayes Dirty Talking Olsen ladies + gents ! Holy bananas book two picked up right where we left off at the end of book one and it did not disappoint ! There is nothing sexier than a man showing up and saying “my wife” and we get that + so many other swoon worthy moments throughout this book ! The ending did feel a little rushed but the set up for Zander’s book was absolutely perfect + I am officially hooked on him !

This is book two in the Southern Gods series . It CANNOT be read as a stand-alone as book one ends in a cliffhanger .

This book was given to me for honest review by Grey’s Promotion + PR .

Title: The Bourbon Bargain (Southern Gods Series Book 2)
Author: Adrian R Hale
Hero/Heroine: Hayes & Paige
Tropes: Second Chance, Marriage of Convenience (sort of), Age Gap,

tw/cw: mention of a fatal accident (off page), dysfunctional parental relationship,

✨the good ✨

Well, I finally got to see what happened between Hayes and Paige and it didn’t disappoint. At the end of The Bourbon Bride, I wasn’t quite sure what direction their relationship would go, however I was pleasantly surprised and it made me love these characters even more.

Desperate to win his wife back, Hayes hunts Paige down in New York where she’s escaped from the awful gossip in Savannah. Determined to prove that his intentions weren’t purely selfish, he manages to convince her to give their marriage another try. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good grovel in a story and I know some people would think that Paige caved too easily, however I understood where she was coming from. She was such a sweet character, she wasn’t interested in playing games in her relationship with Hayes, she just wanted to be with him, and you know what, I respect her for this. I also loved the fact that she slowly started taking back a bit of her power in this book and was determined to stand up to her mom.

Hayes, of course, was as swoony as ever, even if what he did was a bit shitty. He showed more of his human side, which I think Paige helped bring out in him, and I just loved these two together.

A wonderful way to end this duet, I’m looking forward to reading more about those Olsen brothers.

✨ the bad ✨

Paige’s Mom. Liliana. Tit punches for the win.

✨overall thoughts: a wonderful ending to this duet, loved Hayes and Paige’s story

First, I'd like to thank Adrian R. Hale and Grey's Promo for sending me an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review!

With that said, The Bourbon Bargain dives right where the last book stopped. Hayes with his tail between his legs after everything that went down, knowing full well he needs to come racing back to Paige and tell her that he still loves her and wants to be with her. But can it be enough after all that he's done to acquire the properties he's wanted for his business portfolio? That's what we get to read through in the continuation here!

Another aspect that I loved in both books was the gossip chapters. I can't say much without spoiling, but getting these aspects between both Paige and Hayes' POV was actually fun to read about!

And the SPICE? Holy Hannah, get yourself a sprinkler, a hose, a fan... you name it! Because when these two come together, it's hot and passionate and everything in between. Like I said, Paige becomes dominant more in this book and it sure as hell shows!

Overall, I loved reading the conclusion to Hayes and Paige's story, getting to read more business side of things, and Hayes realizing there's more to life than just working all the time and getting whatever he wants simply because he can. And Paige standing up to her awful mother and getting what she wanted was just the cherry on top! It was emotional, entertaining and a page turner, I couldn't put it down, I DEVOURED it!!

I couldn't wait for this to come out after the cliffhanger from Bourbon Bride.
Paiges and Hayes' Marriage was over before it even started.
Their romance was a whirlwind, was it a mistake to jump straight into marriage?
I wasn't sure how Hayes was going to win Paige over and save their marriage.
I loved his brothers, they may come across rude, brash or so but they have his best interest at heart. Them finally getting him to sort himself out was exactly the push he needed.
The apology was the beeeeeeeeeeest. It was just adorable, specially as Cerberus (The great Dame) was part of it😍.
This book was more about reconcile and Hayes being a better person for her and Paige becoming a stronger person against those that bully and put her down at every opportunity. He really gave her the strength and I loved seeing Paige becoming stronger character.
They have a second wedding to appease her mother and also so she can have her dream wedding. This helped Paige again stand up to her awful controlling mother.
There was drama as Hayes and his brothers have a lot of enemies and things look to go bad for them.
Gosh Hayes is so perfect and swoon worthy. The way he remembers all her likes and wishes and brings them to reality 💜
Very Spicy, so be prepared for panty wetting haha and it was just a beautiful love story.
Can't wait for Payton and Zander's stories.

"Hayes is my dark prince, the king of the underworld, and he’s claimed me body, heart, and soul."

Review: The Bourbon Bargain
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️

Review for The Bourbon Bargain by Adrian Hale – 4 Stars

The Bourbon Bargain is a gripping continuation of Paige and Hayes’ tumultuous love story, blending Southern charm with modern high-society drama and a touch of mythology-inspired depth. This Hades and Persephone retelling reimagines the tale in a corporate world where greed and ambition threaten to tear love apart.

The story strikes a good balance between spice and plot, with plenty of emotionally charged moments to keep you invested. Hayes, the morally gray billionaire, delivers on the groveling front, showing just how far he’s willing to go to mend the damage he’s caused. However, the real standout is Paige. Watching her evolve from a sheltered debutant into someone who finds her voice and stands tall in her own right was incredibly satisfying. Her journey of self-discovery and empowerment is a highlight of the book, proving how her relationship with Hayes both challenges and strengthens her.

While the romance is intense and steamy, the stakes outside their relationship—industrial disasters and corporate rivalries—add an engaging layer of tension. Paige’s growth and Hayes’ redemption arc make this a compelling read for fans of billionaire romance with a Southern twist. If you enjoy modern retellings with flawed yet redeemable heroes and heroines who claim their worth, this book won’t disappoint.

The second book in the Southern Gods series and the story picks where the Bourbon Bride ended with newly wed Paige coming to terms with her husband had married her to steal her family’s hotel empire from right under her nose not realising that while Hayes Olsen might’ve initially pursued with her with ulterior motives, somewhere along the way he’d fallen hard and fast for his bride.

You’ve got to love a book that opens with a grovelling from the hero especially one so ruthless and dominant as Hayes who definitely delivers on the grovel front and, although Paige forgave him a little too quickly for my liking it did allow the story to move on. Unfortunately, the happy couple weren’t given a hot minute to settle into married bliss before they were under attack with an unknown enemy working to destroy everything Hayes and his brothers had built. Was the reappearance of a familiar face from Hayes past just a coincidence? They also had Paige’s overbearing mother to contend with as she decides to ignore the fact that they’re already married and give them the wedding of her dreams whether they want one or not. The steam factor between them was even more intense in this book as Paige grew in confidence and learnt to take what she wanted in the bedroom, something Hayes was happy to let her do. Can’t wait to read more about the remaining Olsen boys, Payton and Zander

This is the second book in the Southern God Series and the continuation of Hayes and Paige Story. After the betrayal of Hayes, Paige left him. He planned something before meeting her but he doesn't know he'll fall for her in a short span. Although a betrayal is a betrayal he wants her bride back. He searches for her and asks her to forgive and explains everything. She gives a chance but something bothers her when some incident happens. And Hayes and his brothers have to fight with the unknown enemy. Will they win ? Who is the enemy ? Will the anonymous person create a rift between the newly weds ? What was his motive?
❦ I love this book more than the first one.
❦ This book is full of corporate games and you know what are the consequences you have to face for your precious actions.
❦ In this book Paige becomes stronger and finally she stands for herself.
❦ The emotions between the MCs are well written and the characters are nicely developed.
❦ I love the funny, witty and the serious banter between the brothers and I am waiting to read their stories.
❦ This book is slightly erotic and reads at your own risk.
❦ And my favourite is definitely Cerberus and he is so sweet he definitely plays a vital role in Paige and Hayes story 🦮
Thank you @adrianrhale and @greyspromo for sending me this ARC.
