Clearview Falls University #2

Falling for the Roommate

Rate this book
This football player will be taking the field…along with his new roommate’s heart. When my college besties both ditch me for other living arrangements, I have no other choice but to accept an offer to share a room with Killian “Killer” Palmer.

Sharing an attic space with the junior tight end for the Clearview Falls University football team is far from the ideal situation.

We are opposites in every way possible. I’m a city girl and computer programmer with a penchant for cleaning. He’s an outgoing farm boy who couldn’t keep his room clean if his life depended on it.

The more time we spend together, though, I begin to see Killian in a new light. He’s charming, easy-going, and unfailingly trustworthy. One night in a drunken babble, I accidentally share a secret with him I’ve never revealed to anyone I still have my V-card.

I’m not sure what’s more surprising; the offer he makes to help rid me of that problem or the fact I actually want to take him up on his offer.

The one big issue with sleeping with my roommate is that the lines soon become blurry and before I know it, I’m falling for him.

Killian has scored at more than just gaining my trust. He’s begun to win over my heart, something I never thought possible. But will a relationship with my roommate be the right end goal for us? Or will it only end our friendship?

Falling For The Roommate is the second book in the Clearview Falls University series by Sierra Hill and S. E. Rose. It's a new adult, close proximity, opposites attract, sports romance, and I loved it even more than the first one! It's a fun, quick read and I think Killian and Grace are my new favorite couple. Their relationship progressed so naturally, which made the story so realistic/believable. I honestly loved everything about this one and can't wait for more amazing stories by these two authors, but in the meantime, this one is highly recommended with more than five stars!

It is football season and the perfect time for a great football romance Grace becomes the unlikely roomie of football start Killian.
While these two seem to be as opposite as they come they share the same values. Grace reveals that she still has a v card and these two develop into more than roommates. I enjoyed the development of this couple and their storyline. The two authors provide a seamless and well written read with the perfect combo of sports, heat and heart.

Aww I loved this so much! A sweet, smart football player and a brilliant firecracker! What else could I want? Killian is so full of heart, and I loved him from the start. I enjoyed the back and forth between he and Grace. Not enemies, but just trying to work through their situation as roommates, and getting used to each other. They pull me in, the heart, the laughs, then the intensity that builds up. It's a great read, with lovable characters.

Falling for the Roommate is a cute and fun roommates-to-lovers romance! Reading about Killian and Grace and seeing their progression from acquaintances to friends to lovers was a lot of fun to read about. He's messy, she's tidy. He's an athlete, she's kind of a nerd. He's experienced, she's not. But once Killian finds out that little tidbit about Grace, he offers to help her out with that...which she doesn't accept right away. But little moments here and there make her realize that there's nobody else she would rather be with than Killian.

I loved getting Grace and Killian's story! This was a fun, fast read that had me dying to see how things were going to work out. These are characters that we get to meet in the first book, and at the end of that story is when Killian offers to let Grace share his room when she learns that her other roommates won't be able to room with her. This book starts off at the start of the new school year, and let me tell you, from the second I started reading I was hooked. I loved how the two started out as acquaintances and built a friendship that turned to something more. I adored these characters and thought the writing was fabulous. This is definitely a must read book and series for sure.- By Alisa

Falling for the Roommate was not what I was expecting at all. I was ready for something totally different, but I was pleasantly surprised by the road the author took with this book. Falling for the Roommate is the second in the Clearview Falls University series. It can be read as a standalone, and I look forward to reading the first book soon. This book is a roommate-to-lovers contemporary sports romance. I thought the book was original, a total page-turner, and had a captivating storyline. The world that S.E. Rose and Sierra Hill created for their characters was beautifully detailed and brought excitement and intrigue throughout this book. The characters were complex and had chemistry right off the bat. This book caused me to laugh, cry, and laugh some more with all the character's interactions with their friends.

Grace was such a strong, independent, and loyal character. I loved her determination to overcome obstacles in her life. I really felt for her with what she went through in her life. Killian was funny, determined, and knew what he wanted out of life. I loved that he was a total teddy bear in this book. Their chemistry together was comical, steamy, and electrifying. Their banter had me laughing out loud a few times. I thought the push and pull and angst was scorching hot. I couldn't put their story down until I got to the end. Like I said, this was a new twist to one of my favorite tropes of roommates to lovers and friends to lovers.

This book is the first one I have read by both authors. I enjoyed their writing style. It was witty and creative, and the story flowed perfectly. I look forward to reading what they bring us next and going back to read Falling for the Fake Boyfriend. 4.5 stars- Brooke

I feel cheated, like there was no real ending. Killian “Killer” is at an away game. Really!? The two of them weren't even together. During the book, they did more F-ing than talking. Their bantering was funny. I liked that they both find how sexy their minds, hearts and then their bodies are. Okay, no one else in the reviews has mentioned it, but, there is no long-term forecast, for these two.

They never even discussed his plans, about going back home to, Iowa after graduation. He plans on running the farm, the one that’s been in his family for generations, and how she feels about that. He still never told her he, too is a computer geek. Don’t get me wrong, this was overall a cute book. For me, some issues stood out. One of them being, that the two of them are more than irresponsible, having s-x without protection, especially the first time. “Show me your lab results. Otherwise, no dice, sexy.”

However, beyond that the characters were loveable. “Killer” is a good son who loves his family, loves his friends, and very soon finds out, he’s in love with, Grace. Considering their first day as roommates had been so shaky that quite the change. For the girl who hates her daddy’s ranch, she had no problem jumping right in, when “Killer” needed help in the pen. The only time there is a problem, is after he hears her conversation with, Kelsey and says, those three little words, too soon.

Grace was never looking for a relationship, she was only looking for someone to take her V-card. So, when, Killer offers one night, she realizes there is no one else she would rather do it. She had been eyeing her sexy roommate, for a while. Don’t judge! Like he promised he makes it a night to remember.

When I finished this book last night, I gave it 3 stars. Now that I've slept on it, I've realized I was just on a butterfly-high from binge-reading this book in 3 hours flat. I feel like this book really only deserves 2 stars, and here's why:
Things I Loved:
- Unfortunately, I don't have anything to add here.

Things I Liked:
- Killian has *some* game. He definitely charmed me a little bit.

Things I Disliked:
- The writing felt super cheesy to me. The author was trying really hard to convey certain vibes (i.e., Killian being smart and gentle on the inside despite his large and athletic appearance) but didn't spend a lot of time on the character development pieces that helped the readers *feel* those vibes. Instead it was just "Killian is actually really smart, just no one knows it." Idk. I want to fall in love with characters on my own and draw my own conclusions, not be told what I'm supposed to feel. I love a good cheesy romance, but this was just not it for me.
- Along the same lines ^, the whole online game connection felt so unnecessary to me. It added nothing to their relationship as roommates.
- They have absolutely zero chemistry one minute and then the next minute it's like head over heels. It was a short book, so I'm giving this a little grace. But there was absolutely no reason for them to fall in love with each other in the timeline that they did. They were just suddenly in love.

Things I Absolutely Hated:
- Everything surrounding the hype behind Grace's "I want to lose my v-card" thing. I'm just going to leave it there.
- Both of Grace's best friends actually suck. She needs new friends.
- The way Grace acted so dismissive towards her father in the beginning actually made me mad.

About the Book:
After Grace’s roommate leaves for a semester abroad, she’s left without a place to stay. Her best friend is dating a football player and one of his friends, Killian, has extra space and offers her a place to stay. They end up sharing the space of the attic and that’s where lines end up blurred. Grace is a virgin, but she hasn’t told anyone that. It isn’t until one night when she’s drunk and confesses it to Killian, that he offers her his help. The two of them start with a friends with benefit situation, but quickly Killian wants so much more. But, Grace went into it not wanting a relationship and now she’s questioning everything.

What I Loved:
This book was just too cute. I loved Falling for the Fake Boyfriend and have been dying for Grace’s story ever since! 😍

I loved how this started out as a roommates situation and ended up with so much more. You would think that Killian was a typical playboy football player, but the way he falls hard for Grace is just so cute to see. 🥹

And his dirty talking?! 😮‍💨🔥 I was here for it!

If you love a sports romance with a roommates with benefits situation, you NEED to read this one! 🔥

This book CAN be read as a standalone! 🫶🏻

#fallingfortheroommate is book two in the #cfuseries by @sierrahillbooks and @seroseauthor

Killian and Grace are stuck together as roommates. Seemed like a great idea in theory, but the more these two are around each other the more they begin to actually like each other. What started as roommates has morphed into a friendship with a lot of trust. She’s ready to give him his v card and he’s opening up about his life. They both know there’s something more but one is ready to fall while the other’s afraid of love. Can the connection they built overcome the worries or are they going to part ways like it was all just a fling of convenience ?

Ahh! Killian was so much more than I expected him to be. I loved him. His personality and heart made it hard to not become obsessed with him. The nicknames for Grace were top tier. He showed his true self to Grace and I loved that. He proved he’s more than just a pretty face and a jock. Grace was awesome. She was smart, funny, sometimes awkward but in the best ways. She opened herself up to Killian and came out of her shell. She embraced her brain but learned to have fun. I loved seeing that. Their banter was perfection, and their bond was unmatched. Absolutely recommend!

It was an unusual situation that Grace found herself in, rooming with a “Killer” football giant, all because one roommate was moving in with her boyfriend and the other was going abroad for the semester, leaving Grace in a housing predicament until Killian offered to share his room with her. Grace already had abandonment issues because of her Mum and this wasn’t exactly helping, but she’d get through it, like she always did.
Killian wasn’t sure why he offered to share, sure Grace was a friend in need, but he had a feeling it was more than that. The first day she moved in was a shock to his system, not exactly pleasant but he couldn’t say the change wasn’t nice.
A drunken confession leads to a unique offer as their friendship grows. Grace realises that she trusts and feels safe with Killian and that she wants more. Turns out so does Killian and he might want even more than she is ready to give.
A wonderful story of character growth and love, where they have more in common than either realises.
Fun, sweet, great banter, lovely family dynamics, wonderful tension and chemistry, steamy and emotional with a great HEA.
Looking forward to book three and reading about Kelsie’s adventure.

I received a copy from the author and this is my honest review.

Great second in series book! I loved it. Was everything you want in a new adult sports romance book. This one had a fun spin of the two main characters being roommates before they started a physical/romantic relationship. It was fun to watch them get to know each other and connect before they took thinks further.

Killian is a farm boy from Iowa that plays football at university. He ends up with Grace as a roommate when her housing situation she had planned falls through. The two are very different...Grace is a computer nerd and Killian is your fun loving jock. When Grace confesses that she is a virgin, Killian volunteers to help her out (no shock there). What turns into a physical relationship quickly becomes more on Killian's side but Grace is less sure. She has feelings for Killian but past experience with her parents marriage makes her doubt that love is real. Killian then starts to doubt his own feelings and decides to focus on his family farm and football.

This was a fun read! Very enjoyable and well written. If you like new adult romance this series is a good one.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a roommate falling for each other trope romance, but it was so different than I was expecting and have ever read before using this trope. In this story they are roomies in a big house of football players. So, they don't just share a place, they share a bedroom and share a bathroom.

Killian is a very hot football player who in the previous book has lots of sex and very casually. His new roomie is Grace who is a virgin and whose best friend is now rooming and dating Killian's former roomie and best friend.

To say things, get very close for comfort would be a HUGE understatement. Not just with Killian and Grace but also with their ex-roomies and besties. This was a really fun story because Killian has been falling for Grace even as she drives him crazy and reorganizes his roomie and life. He on the other is sweet, hot and really into her.

I loved this couple and this story. I seriously could not put it down. I loved this couple so much and this book was just pure fun.

Problems and Solutions

S Hill SE Rose Clearview Falls University bk 02 Falling for the Roommate

Frenemies-to-more definitely seems to fit the bill for these two. Killian "Killer" Palmer and Grace Leigh Ford are adorable, even when they are fighting. They both have big hearts. Killer just happens to have big everything. 😏

It’s not just her appearance. Yes, she’s beautiful, but she’s also insanely smart and funny. Grace Ford is the perfect woman.
-- Killian "Killer" Palmer

I love how Grace helps Killian with everything from assisting with the birth of a calf to repairing a tractor to finding a solution to a small farm issue. On the flip side, I think Killian gets the better end of the stick when she makes a request. 🍑🍆💦🔥

I expected gaming and football to play a more significant role in their story. I'm not exactly disappointed, but my expectations did need to be reset.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Falling for the Roommate, Clearview Falls University Series
SE Rose and Sierra Hill

Killian and Grace

I have been reading romance and erotic stories for a while and it has been a long time since a story has turned me on (am I allowed to say that? LOL), but this one did! Holy hotness! Can I order myself a real-life Killian? I loved the banter between Grace and Killian! The cute nicknames! The sexual tension! Grace is afraid to open herself up to love and Killian is all in! Killian’s love language is verbal and Grace just cannot say the words which leads to a fight. Once she finally figures out how she feels about him, she decides to show him in her own love language. Will her act of service be enough to mend their fight or is it too late? Falling for the Roommate can be a complete standalone, but there is one book before it that lets you get to know the characters better. Look for Falling for the Fake Boyfriend, book #1 in the CFU series! You won’t regret reading this sweet romance, coming into her own story!

This is the second in the CFU series and I think I liked this one even more than the first! It has to be Killian (Killer) as I'm a sucker for the huge misunderstood farm boy.
Grace finds herself sharing a room with Killian after her roommate decides to take a semester in Paris and it does not take long for Grace and Killian to strike up a fun friendship. On Grace's birthday, she let's it slip that she is still a virgin, and Killian volunteers to help her out with that.
Once they go down that road, it's hard to stay as just friends, but they are so darn cute together, I don't want them to go back to friends. They keep their relationship on the down low (which doesn't really work when you are trying to hide it from other roommates) but when there is a misunderstanding between the two Grace needs to rely on friends to help. Going out of her way to help Killian and his family seals the deal for these two and I imagine we will hear more from and about them in the coming books in the series.

Killian and Grace appear to be opposites in every way. Cleanliness, gender, demeanor…but under the surface. they’re far more alike than they’d ever imagined. And when he offers to be Grace’s first in a few things, Killian gets far more than he bargained for. Of course, so does Grace. The question is, can they move forward if one or both hold back?

This is an amusing and surprisingly emotional ride. Some of it is expected, some of it isn’t. And the fact that nothing is ever hidden as well as people think makes this even more entertaining when the truth comes tumbling out. These two find that they’re far more alike than they’d guessed, they’re definitely compatible, and their love languages just might complement each other perfectly.

The best part, though? The communication. Yeah, they’re young. But the dumb mistakes don’t end up including what you’d expect, and the ability to move past insecurities and potential hurts make for a truly enjoyable read. So…enjoy the ride!

Clearview Falls University #2

Grace Ford is almost 21 and a computer science engineering major at CFU. She has been living with her roommates until one leaves to study abroad and the others move in with their boyfriends. She gets the offer to move into the off campus house as well with her friends but also a bunch of football players. Which includes her new roommate, Killian.

Killian Palmer known as Killer. They are opposites in every way. He's a farm boy who doesn't keep his room clean but is easy-going, charming and trustworthy. He loves farm life and goes back to help out whenever he has a break.

When Grace mentions a secret and wants to take care of it, Killian offers to help. What starts as friends with benefits grows to more. They become closer but will either admit to how they feel about the other and will it ruin their friendship?

The cover might not be much to look at, but the book itself was just what I was hoping for! I think I'm entering my golden retriever boyfriend era, there's just something so great about a sweet guy, who's willing to communicate and own his feelings with no games. This was definitely a comfortable, low angst feel good read. The heroine was a good mix of funny and intelligent without being obnoxious and while there was a third act blip, it felt organic and plausible instead of forced and ridiculous. Also, it didn't last more than a few days and it was nice to seeing the heroine doing an appropriate grovel for once. The sex scenes were hot and their pacing was on point. The book was a little on the short side but the author did a good job of sticking with giving us the meat of the story instead of a bunch of filler. I'll definitely check out this author again!

I loved Grace and Killians story. Grace is a city girl, computer programmer. Killian, is a football player, outgoing and farm boy. I absolutely adored there friendship and chemistry from start to finish. They start out as friends , which evolves to benefits. He wants more will Grace give him more?? I adored the nicknames, there’s just something about cute nicknames . I also loved how Grace went out of her comfort zone to show him she wanted more. This is a five-star read that will kill you with romance. I really enjoyed this one, it is the second story in the Clearview falls series, and we have met the characters in the first story, but if you missed it, you wouldn’t be too lost. I don’t think I would be as brave as Grace, as I don’t know if I could share a room with someone, I was attracted to without it going further. Grace is so determined at first, and they are such opposites, or so they think. I really liked how the better we get to know Grace and Killer, the better they grow in our hearts, and you really start to get them, and their connection. This was a great story, it did jump a little in a couple of spots, but overall great flow and characters you can’t help but want to hear more from.

Pair my favorite sport with two authors I enjoy reading, and you get one fantastic can't-put-your-kindle-down book that took me one sitting to finish!

Grace is the computer nerd while Killian is a true blue All-American football player.

In short, they are are opposites in every way. But when they come together? The chemistry is off the charts!

Thrown in these two living together, and you just KNOW things are going to get complicated once feelings make themselves known.

But these two authors did a fabulous job of keeping the anticipation going, the romance sizzling, and the storyline flowing so well, I was sad to finish the book!

I look forward to more from this author duo!

When Grace thought about her next year in college having a football player as her roommate was not part of the plan. When her existing roommates’ lives take them in other directions, she needs a place to stay but as she spends time with Killian he is beginning to feel like much more than a roommate.

Killian is not your typical football player which only makes him more appealing. A friendship begins to develop between he and Grace but when she tells him what she would really like lines are crossed and they must decide if they are willing to trust each other with their hearts.

Killian is patient and understanding as he shows Grace with everything he says and does that what they share is worth fighting for.

Falling for the Roommate is a sweet and romantic story that will keep you hooked until the end. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the chemistry between them is palpable. The book is part of the Clearview Falls series, but it can be read as a standalone. The story follows Grace and Killian, who become roommates in college and soon realize that they have feelings for each other. Grace is determined and brave, while Killian is smart and charming. The close proximity and opposite attracts make for a compelling and heartwarming romance. The book also touches on themes of family expectations and the porn industry, which adds depth to the story. Overall, Falling for the Roommate is a great read that is perfect for fans of romance and college stories.

I cannot express just how much I enjoyed this book, and I am a bit disappointed in myself after realizing that this is book two and that I have totally missed reading the first one. But it is something I am definitely going to rectify as soon as possible.
Grace and Killian’s story ticked so many boxes for me. Right from the beginning when they first became roommates I was basically rubbing my hands together in glee with anticipation with how their story played out. Let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed - at all.
My favorite part, which honestly may be a little weird, is that towards the end it was Grace that had to do the “big gesture “. I found that absolutely refreshing because we all know not all women are flawless. To me it just finished this story off beautifully.

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Killian and Grace’s story. Killian is a football player, and Grace is a computer programmer, and these two end up a roommates. These two are complete opposites, and they try to fight their attraction for each other, but over time lines become blurred.
This is a well written story which is an easy to read, action packed story, with opposites attract, forced proximity, secrets, friendships, trust, romance, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to a fun and entertaining page turner.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

Heat Level 🔥🔥🔥

Genres/Tropes

This was so cute!!! It's the 2nd in the series, but can be read as a standalone and even better than the first! Killian is a misunderstood and thought to be the stereotypical dumb jock only out for a good time. When Grace finds out its all a facade she can't help but fall for him.
