Eckert, Nicholas. Fatal encounter [The Story of the Gibraltar Killings]. Dublin, Poolbeg, 1999. 20 cm. vii, 288 pages. Softcover. Excellent condition with only minor signs of external wear. Very Rare !
A heavily prejudiced account by an American writer (never a good sign when it comes to Northern Ireland) in favour of three dead terrorists bent on mass murder in Gibraltar in 1988. The author nails his colours to the mast from the off with a poem lamenting their deaths before the first chapter begins. Would he have felt similarly mournful had the hijackers on 9/11 been dispatched before they boarded the planes?
