A yeti ice climbing instructor who’s too hot for his harness. Alaska's beauty and wildness captivate Gina, but she longs for friends in her new home. Everything changes when she falls helmet over crampons for Dorje, her ice climbing instructor. He’s patient, bakes her cookies, and can deadlift her with one arm. Yet, beneath his face mask, Dorje conceals a sapphire skin, white fur, and aquamarine eyes. Turns out the unique combination is exactly Gina’s type.
After his grandmother's death and a tragic mountaineering accident, Dorje copes by knitting and watching telenovelas. As his yarn budget dwindles, he reluctantly returns to work, teaching a newbie, Gina, to ice climb. When he accidentally spills his yeti secret, she doesn’t scream and run, she invites him to dinner. Gina is strong, sure, and brings the first smile to his face in over a year. But can he risk a relationship when his perpetual gloom could dim her brilliance?
Neva Post grew up in a log house in Interior Alaska where she walked uphill both ways to school at temperatures of negative forty with only the aurora borealis to light her way. At least, that’s how she remembers it.
She’s equally happy on a snowy trail or coaxing vegetables to grow in her garden during the long Alaskan summer days. When she’s not waxing skis or chasing voles out of her cabbage, she’s at her computer. Neva’s novels include paranormal elements—she can’t help it—with smart and dependable characters who always get their HEA.
I loved this book! It was a sweet monster romance that transported me to Alaska with its immersive storytelling. I felt as if I were truly there, learning ice climbing along with the heroine: it was that good! I cheered the adorable couple on as they fell in love. They were believable and so cute together, and their intimate moments were that much more special for it. Hot as well: they burned for each other despite the freezing temperatures 😉 This Yeti (novel and series) deserves all the love!
Ugh. This was SO SWEET! Dorje is the ultimate yeti book boyfriend. I love how much I learn about Alaska by reading this series! Plus I now know more about ice climbing than I thought I ever would! The characters are always super knowledgeable about their interests and it makes it so easy to get immersed into their world. Plus i love learning little titbits about the environment they live in. Gina and Dorje are my fave couple so far- she is the Sunshine he needs, and he helps anchor her to reality ❤️ sign me up any day for a knitting, baking, telenovela-watching, 7 foot ball of fluff 💖
Gleeful Goblin Review: The thing that jumped out to me immediately about the two MC's in this story is that they're both kinda adorably anxious little dorks, granted for very different reasons but it's still a point of commonality for them. Which, as an anxious gremlin myself I very much relate to and appreciate seeing in romances! In fact, the meet cute for these dorks takes place because to combat her anxiety about learning ice climbing **right now** our FMC gets herself into a bit of a pickle to the point where our MMC ends up spotting her and being there to catch her when she literally falls. It was such a swoon worthy scene for me because I can 100% see myself getting into this type of situation trying to somehow prepare ahead of the lessons in this new skill I've never done because anxiety brain is WEIRD like that. "Strong, solid arms held Gina. Dorje was every bit the safety net she’d imagined him to be. He’d grabbed her like a running back cradling a football for a touchdown. But her crampons had snagged on the ice. Her legs stuck straight out, wedged into the frozen falls as she leaned back into him. It was just as well that she wasn’t on her feet. Her legs might not support her weight right now. He’d been so calm, so reassuring until the end. She’d done something wrong—more wrong than climbing without a partner or harness and rope. There’d been doubt in that deep, rumbly voice of his. She’d internalized it, causing the ice axe to bobble right out of her shaking hand as she questioned herself. She melted into Dorje’s arms as adrenaline drained from her limbs. He murmured, “It’s okay,” and “I’ve got you.” His hushed words spoken near her ear wavered as he repeated them like a chant. Her breath calmed. But his grip didn’t ease. Her heart slowed while his drilled against her back like a woodpecker on steroids. She couldn’t budge in his unyielding grip. Part of her didn’t want to leave his embrace. No one had held her in a long time. She’d imagined Ted holding her, but after being in these large, solid arms that hugged her so well, any other arms would disappoint. However, all good things had to come to an end. She patted his forearm. “Dorje?” He responded, “It’s okay.” It clearly wasn’t, but she agreed with him. “Yes, it is okay. Everything is okay now.” She swallowed, then tried the same technique he’d used on her. “You did great, Dorje. I’m okay, and you’re okay. We’re both okay.” He hummed, then released a long exhale. Gradually his hold eased, and Gina placed her feet back on the ground. She pulled away from Dorje, then turned to take him in. No wonder the ground still looked a mile below her when she’d fallen into his capable arms. He was freaking huge—at least seven feet tall and nearly as broad as two average men. Despite his layers of clothing and covered face, Gina could tell that this giant suffered. He signaled he needed a moment, then sank to one knee. Mari’s words came back to her. She’d said that Dorje’d had a tough year and only recently started working again. I broke the instructor. Gina squeezed her eyes shut. “I’m really, really sorry. I should not have come out here on my own. I get excited and ahead of myself. What I did was thoughtless. I-I hope we can still work together.” Dorje’s neck gaiter went concave as he sucked in a breath, and Gina’s heart squeezed. She wanted to right this wrong. He nodded. “Same time tomorrow?” His voice held a fraction of the strength compared to when he’d talked her down the falls. They didn’t have another lesson scheduled until Thursday. Gina had a client booked at this time tomorrow. If she canceled, she didn’t get paid. But she took in Dorje. After today, she owed him. And an extra lesson would give her a chance to redeem herself. She’d make it up to the student later. “I’d appreciate that,” Gina said, offering Dorje a smile. “Let’s start fresh tomorrow.”
The whole book is this sweet, dorky in the best way, and RELATABLE for us anxious folks. So if you want to see two anxious forks fall in love and learn to trust themselves as well as each other this is a book for you! 5/5 Stars.

Math tutor Gina (h) is still new to Alaska and getting a feel for things when she signs up for ice climbing lessons to prep for a friend, ‘Adventure Ted,’ who’ll be coming to visit her in a few weeks. Yeti Dorje (H) deals with losses in his life by knitting and watching telenovelas until his dwindling yarn supply needs to be refilled and that means he’ll have to earn some funds by teaching ice climbing lessons. Gins is so outgoing and adventurous that she can’t even wait for her first ice climbing lesson and the secretive, masked Dorje comes to her rescue. Her outgoing nature can’t help but bring him out of his funk as they spend time together, even as he tries to keep her from finding out he’s a Yeti. Loved when Gina found out Dorje’s and she just wanted to know everything there was to know about Yetis – an FAQ, too funny. Dorje’s knitting, carrying on his Nana’s passion, and what he planned to do with his projects was really sweet. The supporting characters are lots of fun too and were great in how they supported Dorje during his time of need and now how they encouraged him to open himself up to a relationship with Gina. Sweet and steamy yeti-human romance with some angst, drama, danger, humor, healing and more.
Gina is the sunshiniest sunshine ever. She literally sparkles (though that is mostly due to her love of glitter). Dorje and his struggle with depression is relatable, even if he is a yeti. He’s just a good guy. The characters were well written. Side characters weren’t super flushed out, but for the book length, I was definitely invested. The writing was pretty great, and I would definitely read more from this author and in this series. I do love when my monster romance has actual monsters, and Dorje does not disappoint. The story was mostly sweet. And I can’t say I was sad with the outcome for Adventure Ted. We’ve all known someone like that, right? Karma!
I received a copy of the book from the author, but my review is entirely voluntary and honest.

This was an incredibly sweet monster romance set in Alaska. Gina has recently moved to Alaska and desperately wants to find her place in her new community. She has overstated her abilities in ice climbing to an acquaintance and now needs lessons quickly before they arrive for a visit. Enter Dorje, a Yeti undercover who has taken this instructing job to buy more yarn for his charity knitting. Despite keeping his Yeti heritage hidden by using the excuse of a skin condition, his attraction to the bright and bubbly Gina results in him revealing himself. She invites him to dinner.
These two characters were just adorable. Dorje has spent the last year hiding away from life after a tragic accident and a devasting loss. Gina throws herself into life headfirst and wants to know this gorgeous, sweet Yeti better. He bakes her cookies and is sweet and caring. But can a relationship work between a Yeti and a human?
This was my first book by this author, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I immediately bought the previous books in this series and can’t wait to read them. I look forward to reading future books.

What a charming story! The story was paced oerfectly and the ending was perfect! The author did an amazing job throughout the whole book keeping the reader entertained. The author drew you in with the grief that Dorje was suffering from over the last year with the passing of his grandmother and then a horrific climbing accident. His coping mechanism? Knitting! There's just something funny as the author describes this 7ft Yeti knitting scarves and hats. All throughout the book you watch Dorje struggle with his grief and his newfound love for Gina. It was quite the love story! With a cast of supporting characters that offers lots of fun and so sweet how all of them support Dorje through his grief. I can't wait to go back and check out the other books in this series as well as what else the author has written.
4.25 stars. This story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, recovering from grief, neurodiverse-coded female human (Gina)/male yeti (Dorje), contemporary fantasy romance. I enjoyed Gina’s enthusiasm and energy for all activities. I enjoyed her willingness to reach for Dorje where he was. I empthaised with Dorje’s struggles. I enjoyed seeing him step back into life. I enjoyed their steamy intimate scenes. I enjoyed Gina’s demonstrated capability. I enjoyed the ending.

This Yeti paranormal novel surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Besides the romance, you actually pick up some knowledge about ice climbing—the gear, the process—which made it feel fresh and unique. The story starts with strong tension between the main characters, partly fueled by their friends, and that keeps you hooked. It’s engaging, fun, and full of moments that make you want to keep turning the pages. A really nice mix of paranormal romance and adventure.

this was a strong third entry in the Alaska Yeti series. Neva Post has a strong writing style and was glad I got to read this. It had that element that I was looking for and was invested in what was happening. It continued the story perfectly and the characters continued to feel like they belonged in this type of book. I enjoyed the monster romance element to it and worked well together with the storyline and characters.

A friend recommended this book to me, and I can't thank her enough - I loved it! I've always wanted to go to Alaska, and this story took me there! It was that well-written. The main couple were cute, and it was fun to watch them grow closer until they gave in to their attraction. Their intimate moments did not disappoint. I want to read the entire series now!
I hadn't read this as part of the series, so was happy to see this pop up. It is Gina and Dorje's story. She's looking for adventure and he's the hot climbing guide. Loved that he knitted and baked. :) Gina also loved those characteristics and was not phased when she learnt of his true self. This was a great slow burn monster book. I fell in love with both of these characters. It takes a while but they finally get there hea in the end. Can't wait to to read the next book.
This was such a sweet story. A quick read filled with a cute romance with a grieving yeti, dealing with the loss of his grandmother, and a bubbly human who walks into his life. The sunshine to his darkness. I feel in love with this couple and their romance. Dorje and Gina are my new favourite cute couple
Do read any trigger warnings as it does deal with grief and loss.
I read this as an ARC and this is my honest review.
