This book is very uneven. Fisher is not a great writer but is sometimes capable of expressing interesting zen concepts in an accessible way. More often, however, his writing seems naive and the stories overly simplified. Fisher moved on, as Wu De, to lead Global Tea Hut and I'd say the freely accessible issues of Global Tea Hut magazine devoted to the connection between tea and zen are better than this book.

A true masterpiece on tea and Zen and living in Truth, I know I’ll be reading this book again and again for the rest of my life.
