Their contrasting beliefs bring emotional depth and tension to the story, grounding the supernatural elements in relatable generational conflict. Seventh grader Biff Forsberg adds another perspective, interpreting the Wintermaker as a metaphor for true human horror in the form of a serial killer haunting his community.
