From best selling author Mackenzy Fox comes the highly anticipated MC spin-off from the Bracken Ridge Rebels MC - (New Orleans Series Book 4) Harlem is a single dad MC club Enforcer romance with a 18 year age-gap, praise and daddy ki^nk, a tough spit-fire heroine, single mom, H is very protective with lots of steam.
The men of the NOLA Rebels MC will do anything for their club. They’re a brotherhood, a club who stands mighty, and above all else, they take care of business, New Orleans style.
The bikers may rule this city, but the women of the club have their hearts, and the men will do anything to protect what’s theirs.
It is part of a series but can be read stand-alone with a HEA. This book is recommended for mature readers 18+
Mackenzy Fox is an author of M.C. badass and contemporary enemies to lovers themed romance novels. When she’s not writing she loves vegan cooking, walking her beloved pooch’s, reading books and is an expert on online shopping. She’s slightly obsessed with drinking tea, testing bubbly Moscato, watching home decorating shows and has a black belt in origami. She strives to live a quiet and introverted life in Western Australia’s North West with her hubby, twin sister and her dogs.
You would think two people with so much in common would hit it off immediately. Harlem and Indigo are single parents, and despite their age difference—an 18-year age gap with him being 48–they clash constantly. Indigo has a toxic history with the MC and puts Harlem in that category no matter what he does. But when Harlem and Indigo stop fighting their attraction, what she believes and wants is a one-and-done; he wants more.
Harlem immediately falls hard for Indigo, and his “solo” scenes are hot. Mackenzy Fox knows how to spice things up even further with her MMCs, gives Harlem a f¡l/ thy mouth, and incorporates the D@ddy schm/ ¡ink in this story. Harlem is thoughtful and supportive of Indigo through her past and the unexpected circumstances during the story. He’s a winner.
I received a copy of this book for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Whew, Indigo was a tough nut to crack! Harlem was almost a saint in regards to her. lol
They were definitely compatible in the bedroom, but I enjoyed seeing Indigo eventually turn to Harlem and let him in emotionally too. It took a catastrophic event, but I think he was wearing her down before that anyway. They make quite a pair!
Another book that I saw a 30 second reel on and HAD to ignore my other books to read it…. But this one did me dirty.
I’m a SUCKER for all the tropes in this book:
Single parent/s Age gap MC He falls first Enemies to lovers/ish Touch her and die
But this…. This was rough to get through. I’m not really a fan the whole “woah is me” ideology, the I’m better off alone, and just the hate this FMC expressed towards the bikers until she needed them to help her. Indi acted like an absolute child the entire book.
Also, she was just plain cruel to most of the characters in the book. I’ve never disliked a female character as much as I disliked Indi.
I HATED that the only thing they thought about while a child was kidnapped was getting off, that entire situation was so off putting I wanted to DNF it immediately. I spent the last 40% of the book rolling my eyes.
I will say, the sex scenes were 🥵 but those were few and far between or at the most inappropriate times.
So do with that what you will.

I loved Harlem and Indigo's story right from the beginning of the book. Harlem had been a single dad for many, many years after his wife just up and left - who would even do that to this man? She must have been blind and stupid.
All Harlem wants is someone to be hiold ladydy in the mc he is in and to settle down for the rest of his life. You can tell from the start that Harlem wants Indigo regardless of how she feels towards bikers, and fully has the right to dislike them over her past and I loved the fact that he turns into an overprotective grump as soon as her name is mentioned.
Indigo is also a single mum and 18 years younger than Harlem, which we love! She is never afraid to speak her mind, especially when it comes to kicking bikers out of her bakery. I loved the fact that she actually got Harlem to do a shift at her bakery and that he wore a pink frilly apron just topped it off.
The story was so well developed and showed the progress in their relationship from Indigo having a hard no viewpoint to them falling in love with each other. The other parts of the plot just flowed so nicely into the story, and I did not want to put the book down at all. There was so much suspense in the book.
I dont think that Harlem and Indigo could have been any more perfectly suited to one another. The fact that Harlem had a daddy-kink as well made their relationship so much hotter and fun than it was before. The spicy scenes were absolutely perfect, and there were so many of them.
I fell in love with all of the characters, and all I would like to see is Indigo and Harlem and their kids as a family in the future and what their life afterwards had in store for them. I am so glad that I got to ARC read this book, and I definitely need to read more of Mackenzy's books!
The big tough biker enforcer Harlem is actually such a sweetheart when he wants to be AND he falls for Indigo, a baker who dislikes bikers from the core of her heart and has pretty good reasons for that. The story is pretty sweet and entertaining and the banter is to look forward to. Everything goes on fine with lots of knowledge about their past and how they came to be as a person as they are today until tragedy strikes and nobody sees that coming and goes into a frenzy. The support from the club and the trust they built together helped Indigo a lot. I really wanted to see how the enemies are dealt with but we’ll be getting to that part in the future books. Other than that it’s a happy written story with the spice Mackenzy is famous for. I enjoyed reading the book.
HARLEM by Mackenzy Fox is book 4 in the NOLA Rebels MC Series. This is the story of Harlem and Indigo. Harlem is a around 48 years old with two kids (one is 18 the other is 15). Harlem is the enforcer of the MC club. Harlem wife cheated on him and left them but now in his present day he is thinking about having someone in his life again. Indigo is around 30 years old with a 12 year old kid. In addition she is trying to keep her bakery NOLA Sweet Treats going. But she is very hesitant to get involved with the MC when help is offered. Enjoyed this book and I hope to read more from this author.
Heat was rolling off the pages. Harlem and Indigo were two fuses bond to explode once they gave in. Indigo has struggled for all she has and letting Harlem and the MC into her life scares her because she needs to have control. Harlem loves deep and protects with his life and Indigo and his daughter are now his to protect.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and my introduction to her NOLA Rebels MC series and, I have to say, Harlem is everything!! Harlem and Indigo back in forth in the beginning of the book was spot on and the tension between enemies to lovers was chef’s kiss. I loved reading their banter and how they both hid their attraction to each other behind anger; it made the moment they finally gave in off the charts. I will definitely be reading more of Mackenzy’s work in the future!
Harlem is another brother from the NOLA Rebels MC. He’s the enforcer of the club and has been in the previous books, although we didn’t get to know a lot about him. We also know about the woman who has him all wrapped up. Indigo is the owner of NOLA Sweet Treats and when her bakery is in trouble the club offers to help even though she wants nothing to do with bikers. I’m sure you can see where these two end up.
The characters were great and both had back stories that made them who they are and put them right in the path of the other. Harlem is an almost 50 single dad of an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old. His ex was a cheater and a liar and left them all without ever looking back. His life is his kids and the club, but he’s been wanting more for a while. He wants a partner who will share his life with him, someone he can care for, and someone who will be there just for him. Indigo is also a single parent, her daughter is 12. She knows the biker life well, her father was the president of a. 1% club before he was killed and her mother was not there for her children at all. When their world fell apart she took care of her younger brother, but she still ended up in a relationship that saw her beaten down until she got away.
Their story was a really good one with plenty of banter that wasn’t usually friendly, the chemistry between them was very obvious and the danger that they ended up embroiled in was captivating.
This series has been full of great stories for each of the characters so far and I’m really looking forward to the rest of the brothers falling. . . . Harlem has to get it through Indigo’s head that the club is around to help and protect her, as well as their interest in the business. But Indigo doesn’t trust bikers and she doesn’t want them a part of her life in any way. She gave in to their offer to help with the bakery instead of losing it altogether. The only problem is they won’t stay away and follow her rules.
While he’s been attracted to Indigo from the moment he met her she’s been nothing but hostile to him. It seems between the prospects assigned to watch over the shop and him she prefers them. As much as he shouldn’t he likes her sassy mouth and most of her attitude, if only she would look beyond their biker status. ‘She wants me in her bed, but not in her life. I get it. Disappointment floods through me. I thought she was made of tougher stuff. I thought she felt the connection I did?’
As Indigo becomes more frustrated with the club’s involvement, she ends up in a deal to let one of the brothers help and it’s Harlem that shows up. She’s sure the big biker won’t be able to last but instead, he surprises her in more than one way. He’s not only able to listen and actually help her but he makes her feel things that she hasn’t felt for a while. Being there for her daughter and keeping her shop afloat is all she knows. ‘I don’t know if I’m up or down whenever he’s around. He sends my emotions, and my hormones, into a spin. And I don’t like it one single bit.’
One taste of Indigo isn’t enough, and Harlem knew it wouldn’t be. Only the woman he wants manages to not only push him away but actually hurt him. Indigo knows that she went too far with Harlem and that she went too far, but before she can get her act together the danger that the club has been worried about comes at her. ‘I could die a happy man right now. Right here, in her bedroom. She’s absolutely perfect.’
While Harlem is furious and ready to rain fury on anyone involved, Indigo is falling apart. In the fallout from everything that happens, they finally manage to find their way to each other once and for all, but it's not without some bumps on the way. ‘It’s make it or break it time, and I’m ready for it like I’ve never been before.’
The fourth book in the NOLA Rebels series is Harlem and Indigo's story. From earlier books in the series, we already know that Harlem is into Indigo and that Indigo is very anti-biker, so I was excited to see how exactly the author would work her magic and make these two work. I usually have a soft spot for the NOLA Rebel's men from the early onset—big bad bikers with massive hearts—who could say no? I have to admit though, that with the early interactions between Harlem and Indigo, I was worried; he came across as a bit of an ass, not to mention that at times it felt like he was steamrolling Indigo's life without really considering her thoughts and feelings, just seeing her as being stubborn and problematic. And she was. Indigo was the queen of snark in this book, and the two of them clashed heads several times, giving this a real enemies-to-lovers vibe. Still, I should have never doubted the author because she soon showed a softer and even more vulnerable side to Harlem that you wouldn't expect from the Enforcer in an MC, but that showed his Daddy and 'Teddy' side. Harlem and Indigo have both had bad relationships in the past, leaving them as single parents and causing them both to vow against future relationships, but the draw between the two of them is too strong to ignore, and when they finally submit to their attractions, it's hot! There was lots of dirty, hot sex between them with Daddy Kink, and a bit of verbal degradation too. It's just another thing that shows how compatible they are. Input from other characters like Manny really helped Indigo see she was being too harsh, and I felt for her as it was clear she was just scared. The reason for Indigo's dislike of bikers is explained, and her past comes back to haunt her when her child is snatched from a school trip, causing the whole MC to rally around her for support and show her that not all bikers are as bad as the ones from her past. It added a bit more to the backstory we've seen happening throughout the series of the dangers of rival gangs while at the same time reiterating that the Rebels are a family and children and women are out of bounds and to be protected at all costs. Sideline characters such as Jonah were a great new addition, and I look forward to seeing how his involvement with the Rebels plays out in the future. There was also a lot more of Tag and Luna's story teased to us in this book, and I look forward to the taboo nature of their story.
If you love the 3 other NOLA rebels books (Cash, Jett and Hawk) then you are in for another treat with Harlem. Mackenzy does not let us down. All her books so far are 5 stars for me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️,5
Tropes in “Harlem” Age-gap FMC is 30 - MMC is 48 Single Mom/ single dad Daddy kink (we like that!!) Praise kink (even more YES!!) Strong FMC Dirty talk (Harlem has got a dirty mouth) Light BDSM, some spanking and one scene with tied hands. He falls first and hard! HEA
Harlem is the NOLA MC’s enforcer, we know his rough and tough exterior from the prior books, and though this book can be read as a standalone, i would recommend reading this series in order as the storyline continues and we still meet the couples who came together in the stories before Harlem.
Harlem has had a thing for Indigo through the last couple of books, he is a single dad, who’s cheating wife left him and their kids. He never felt good enough for a woman since she left. But Indigo has him feeling all kinds of things. And he would burn down the world for the people he cares about.
Indigo is the owner of Sweet Treats Bakery that NOLA MC bought into in one of the prior books, she grew up with a dad that was a MC prez and she has a lot of childhood trauma from growing up like this and she hates bikers and anything MC related. But danger is lurking around her and her shop so now NOLA is there to protect her, the shop and her daughter, much to her dismay.
Harlem is slowly getting under her skin even though she tries to keep him at arms lenght, when she slips and call him “Daddy” all bets are off. Even after a hot night of passion, she pushes him away once more, leaving him feeling like he is unworthy of love. But her world comes crashing, Harlem is right there to catch her. Showing her the brotherhood is more like a family and a brotherhood than any other MC she has know .
Their banter is funny, their arguing is sassy, toecurling and the chemistry between these two is like the 4th July. The whole shaBANG 🎆🎆 Harlem and Indigos story does NOT disappoint♥️ There is a lot of suspense and some action in this book as well and i can’t wait for Tag’s book to read how the storyline unfolds.
I received an ARC from Mackenzy Fox and this is my honest review. I just cannot get enough of her writing🥰
🔥MC Romance 🔥 HEA 🔥 MC Club Enforcer 🔥 Age Gap (18 years) 🔥 Daddy Kink / Praise Kink 🔥 Single Dad/Single Mom 🔥 Tough heroine 🔥 He falls first
Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
"Harlem" by Mackenzy Fox is a steamy and suspenseful romance novel that explores the intense attraction between two characters from different worlds. The story revolves around Harlem, the MC club's Enforcer, and Indigo Monroe, the owner of Sweet Treats bakery. Their lives become entangled when the MC club takes ownership of a share in Indigo's business, leading to a rollercoaster of emotions and a magnetic pull that neither can resist.
The writing style is fast-paced and charged with tension, creating a sense of anticipation and excitement as the characters navigate their complicated relationship. Harlem's larger-than-life personality and unapologetic nature make him a captivating and formidable figure, while Indigo's determination to stay away from him adds layers of complexity to the narrative.
The central theme of the story revolves around Indigo's past, a haunting history that she's desperate to outrun. The character dynamics are well-developed, and the push-and-pull between Harlem and Indigo keeps the reader engaged. The author skillfully builds the tension between the characters, exploring the challenges they face individually and together.
The use of the MC club adds an element of danger and intrigue to the narrative. Harlem's role as the Enforcer brings an edgy and raw quality to the story, contrasting with the sweet and delicate nature of Indigo's bakery. The clash of their worlds creates a compelling narrative that explores themes of love, danger, and the desire for redemption.
The writing effectively conveys the emotional struggle of both characters, especially Indigo, torn between her past and the magnetic pull she feels toward Harlem.
The novel successfully blends romance with elements of suspense, making it an engaging read for fans of the genre. The balance between the sizzling chemistry of the main characters and the underlying danger from the MC club creates a story that is both emotionally charged and thrilling. "Harlem" is recommended for readers who enjoy passionate romance novels with a touch of danger and suspense.
I just finished Harlem, and I can’t stop thinking about it! Mackenzy Fox has truly outdone herself with this one. The complexity of the characters, especially Harlem as a single dad and enforcer for the NOLA Rebels, made the story so emotionally gripping. Harlem is tough on the outside, but his deep love and protectiveness for those close to him make him such a compelling character. His relationship with his daughter added layers to his story that I didn’t expect, and it really shows the softer, more vulnerable side of this brooding alpha.
Then we have the heroine—strong-willed, fierce, and independent. The age gap between them made their dynamic even more intriguing. The chemistry between Harlem and her was off the charts, but it wasn’t just about the steam. Their relationship felt real, full of challenges that came from their respective pasts, but the way they navigated those hurdles made the romance all the more satisfying. I found myself rooting for them every step of the way.
The romance is packed with some of my favorite tropes:
🔥Single Dad Romance: Harlem’s relationship with his daughter adds such a heartwarming layer to his tough-guy persona. 🔥Age Gap Romance: The 18-year difference makes their relationship feel fresh and unique, adding complexity to their love story. 🔥Protective Alpha Male: Harlem is fiercely protective of those he loves, which amps up the intensity. 🔥MC Romance: The backdrop of the NOLA Rebels MC adds danger, loyalty, and that rough edge we love in MC books. 🔥Forbidden Love: Their connection is forbidden in so many ways, but that just makes it more irresistible.
The way Fox writes their journey—full of intense emotions, difficult decisions, and an undeniable connection—had me hooked. I loved how Harlem’s tough exterior slowly cracked as he fell deeper for her, and watching their love unfold amidst the chaos of the MC world was such a rollercoaster. If you’re into heart-stopping romance with all the feels, Harlem is a must-read. It’s raw, steamy, and everything a dark MC romance should be!
This book was so different compared to the other three in the series. It had single dad from the very beginning as well as a single mom as the love interest.
What to Expect: 💜 Daddy K!nk 🖤 Single Dad/Single Mom Romance 🏍️ MC Romance 💀 Age Gap (18 years) ❤️🔥 He falls first
My ARC Review (4.5/5 ⭐️, 3/5 🌶️) Harlem is known as a tough, rough around the edges, and take no bullshit kind of guy. But what had him closing his heart and putting on that mean persona? Well... that would be his wife cheating on him with another man and leaving him and their kids which left Harlem raising them alone. He never expected that to change and turned to one nights or meaningless hookups. However, after years of the same song and dance Harlem was tired and not opposed to finally settling down. And who better to reach that hurdle with than the club's new business partner/bakery owner, Indigo Monroe. Growing up as the daughter of the president to one of the most ruthless MC's and seeing the death of her father in front of her eyes, she hated bikers and swore to never associate herself with them. But after going into business with one Harlem's club she has no choice but to set boundaries when it comes to keeping her piece of mind. Only there is a little problem in her plans, someone is after her and threatening her, her daughter, and her bakery's safety. With the help of the club she is under 24/7 protection and who better than to give her extra protection than the club's enforcer, Harlem. What they don't expect is to realize that their hatred/disdain for each other is just foreplay to their growing attraction. When they finally give in it is so explosive especially when Indigo does something unexpected and calls Harlem something he didn't know he would love coming out of her mouth. Daddy, daddy, daddy is just the type of the iceberg with their shared love for that DADDY K!nk! It was honestly hot hot hot and I ate it all up. But what happens when Indigo experiences something a mother or parent in general never should have to go through, will she lean on Harlem for help or will their relationship end before it even starts?
Thank you to Mackenzy Fox and The Author Agency for allowing me the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this release!
Damn...I read this in one night, went to bed at 3am, and now I'm no longer in a reading slump...so yeah, it was good hahaha
4.3/5 STARS 2.5/5 SPICE
Tropes: - MC romance - Age gap (18 years) - Single parents (both MMC and FMC) - Small town - Reverse grumpy-sunshine - Dislike-to-love (FMC to MMC) - MMC secretly pining - MMC a teddy bear on the inside but protective af too!!!
Thank you to The Author Agency for the ARC!! I'm not going to lie, I forgot I applied for this, but it was a great surprise when it turned up in my kindle library hahaha
Basically it was soooo goood!!! Like I couldn't stop reading.
The MMC was 48 and the FMC was 30, but they acted their age without acting like their lives were over because they had children and were "aging" and sounded realistic and relatable AND I WAS HERE FOR IT!!
I LOVEDDDDD Harlem. He was patient with Indigo, but firm when she was rude to him and the way he yearned for someone to spend the rest of his life with stole my heart and made me want to squeeze him!! He was such a teddy bear but grizzly too when it came to protecting his people.
I loved how defensive and fierce Indigo was at first. Like you could tell she was putting barriers up and seeing her slowly drop them with Harlem was great!!
I'm not much of an MC romance girl, but damn this book was changing my mind every second I was reading.
That being said, I had a few issues (AS A READER AND NEVER AS AN AUTHOR) with how scattered Indigo was acting at the end. Like it just didn't seem like her, but at the same time I understand why it was important to show her relying on Harlem. There was also one spicy scene that made me feel uncomfortable because of the moment it was situated around. And I needed MORE at the end!! Not a complaint but I wanted a conclusion of the plot haha because ahhhhhhh, but I know it's a continuing plot through each book so I gotta wait...
Otherwise, I definitely recommend this AND I can't wait for Tag's book!!!! THIS MAN BETTER GROVEL AND BE ALPHA TOO!!!
Mackenzy Fox has once again knocked it out of the park with "Harlem," a riveting MC romance that dives deep into the world of the NOLA Rebels. This standalone novel introduces Harlem, the ruggedly intriguing MC Enforcer, and Indigo Monroe, the fiercely independent bakery owner with a past she's determined to outrun.
From the get-go, Harlem and Indigo's chemistry crackles with intensity, creating an irresistible dynamic that keeps you turning pages. Their fiery banter and initial clash evolve into a passionate love story, woven intricately against the backdrop of the MC brotherhood and the danger lurking in the streets of New Orleans.
Fox's storytelling prowess shines through in the development of Harlem and Indigo's relationship. The gradual progression from adversaries to lovers is expertly crafted, keeping you hooked with every encounter. The inclusion of a daddy kink adds a steamy layer to their romance, heightening the already palpable tension between them.
What makes "Harlem" stand out is the depth of the characters and the intricate weaving of suspense and action into the plot. Harlem's protective instincts and Indigo's resilient spirit make for a compelling narrative that doesn't just focus on romance but also delves into the complexities of their pasts and the MC world.
With a cast of well-developed supporting characters, including Harlem's spirited daughter and the ensemble from the NOLA Rebels, this story grips you from start to finish. Fox's writing keeps you invested, eager to uncover more about these intriguing characters and their intertwined lives.
Overall, "Harlem" is a must-read for fans of MC romances seeking passion, intrigue, and well-crafted characters. Mackenzy Fox delivers a captivating story that seamlessly blends romance, danger, and the allure of the MC lifestyle, making it a compelling addition to the NOLA Rebels series.
Obsessed with this MC series, & I love it even more when the women get into the mixed. This is an age gap romance & if you want more backstory I would definitely read the others before this one. This one is about Harlem the enforcer of the club, he does his job well but the man does have a soft side when it comes to his two kids that he raised by himself when his ex just got up & left one day. He has always put his children above his own happiness which could explain his issue downstairs, but when he meets the owner of bakery in town Indigo then he quickly realizes he just has specific tastes towards mouthy & hard headed woman. Indigo is no stranger to the MC lifestyle with her father being in one growing up & making a name for himself till he got killed one day. After running from her ex that threaten to kill her & her unborn baby, she decided she would never be involved in an MC again for her & her daughter, that’s until the Nola MC buys half of her bakery to save it from destruction. She finds herself extremely frustrated with Harlem especially when he tries to stake claim over her. She likes to be in control, so handing that over to a man that claims to worship her & be a family that she always wanted, it’s hard to say no to a man that brings out that daddy kink. I loved the back & forth that went on between them, it caused so much sexual tension that when they both did finally break it was super intense. When the whole scene happened with Drake, my heart was in my stomach until that found Camille. Those last few chapters leading up to epilogue were absolutely crazy & thrilling in some ways. Hawk is probably still my favorite along with Cash, but Harlem was pretty good. Now Tag is up next which the man is stubborn as a mule & one heck of an alpha, interested to see how Luna handles him.

Harlem and Indigo's story is Book 4 in the series. There is an age gap of 18 and Daddy Kink. I loved Harlem in the other books and was really excited for this to come out. Harlem may be the Enforcer in the MC but he has a heart of Gold. I loved how hard he lived and aced being a single father to his 2 children. So devoted and strong while he is broken from his ex's betrayal. Indigo wants nothing to do with MCs. Her past trauma from it all was enough. But to survive her business she needed to do business with them. But Nola Rebels are legitimate and are a great bunch, she just doesn't see it. She is a very strong FMC and can hold her own. She has found her match with Harlem. They definitely have the enemies to Lovers vibe. Their witty banter and arguments was their way of flirting lol. When she thought she had escaped her past, things take a turn for the worst. But Harlem and the whole MC are there to help and she sees a different side to that lifestyle. Maybe MCs aren't such a bad thing. This story definitely had it's, drama, action, twists, found family, brotherhood, swooning, emotions, love and spice. Gosh the spice was hot. I love this series and always love anything Mackenzy writes. However there was a scene where it didn't sit right with me. An incident happens and they get it on to just forget for the moment. As a mother I don't think I would want to forget or do that at a time like that. Saying that, the mother did share the same sentiment afterwards and expressed what I was feeling. That shows Mackenzy knows and understands what a reader needs and wants. Now I really want to know what is going on with Luna and does Tag have a heart. Can't wait.
I would’ve love as much as I loved Hawk if wasn’t for the events in the end……
To be honest I really liked this book as I do like the entire series, and this one had the potential to be my top one along with Hawk, but in the end I don’t like a couple things. Harlem is SO SO SO cute, he is quiet but he such a great dad and a protector, the way he raised his kids and dedicated his life to them without ever even thinking of his own happiness, he was like a mother is or should be. I cried in the beginning when he had the conversation with his young kids to tell them that their mother abandoned them 🥺 When he see Indigo she is IT for him, but she HATED him and Bikers with a passion, she has good reasons but paint everyone with the same brush is not right nor it is fair. Harlem IS different, he IS good and he deserves happiness. Indigo is amazing, an independent single mother who also raised her brother and she is an owns her own bakery and she works from 4am to night 7 days a week… she also deserve happiness. She is SASSY and outspoken. Till than I was loving. But than her daughter gets kidnapped by her ex and father of the child who she thought was dead and of course Harlem and the Club ARE FULL FORCE THERE TO HELP and she finally understands that Harlem is different and deserves her love. The part I didn’t like is what mother has a 12 years old daughter kidnapped and “to relax and forget” she has MIND BLOWING sex for hours ????? This didn’t add up and that is why this book end it up been 4 stars and didn’t quite reach the Hawk standards to me. All the books in this series are DELICIOUSLY spicy and I love it !

Harlem is book 4 in the Nola Rebels MC series. (It can be read as a standalone) I have absolutely loved every book in this series and this one was no different! Mackenzy Fox just knows how to write the perfect MC man!! 🥵😍
If you have followed this series you know Harlem is the club enforcer and Indigo owns a bakery in town. Indigo has been having trouble with the rival MC in town and has to have the Nola Rebels help her out around her bakery. The past books have touched on her butting heads with the members so I knew she was going to spit fire and we LOVE a bad a$$ FMC!!! Harlem epitome of a rough and tough biker and the ULTIMATE daddy!!! 🥵 I have loved all the MMC in this series and I didn’t think Mackenzy could top my love for Daddy Cash but I think she did it with Daddy H!!!
I seriously could not get enough of this book! It had a little bit more action scenes than the other which I loved and it kept me on my toes!! I had to stay up all night to finish it because I could not put it down! Mackenzy if these Rebels get any better I think my kindle might catch on fire! 😂
I highly highly recommend this book! And if you haven’t read any of the other Rebels you are missing out!!!
DAMN! Daddy Harlem means business. This dark and beautiful man had my heart in a chokehold right from the beginning and I was utterly obsessed with him. How could anyone not instantly fall in love with this single father. He’s such an amazing dad, completely devoted to his children, but also extremely fierce and protective of them too. He has such an amazing heart of gold and is only looking to find the perfect woman who will love him for him.
Indigo has one hell of a huge chip on her shoulders when it comes to MC men. But when you learn her background and everything she has had to endure, you can understand why. If Harlem is a papa bear, Indigo is a fierce momma bear.
Harlem and Indigo’s banter is filled with hateful words, anger, and pain, but there is this underlying desire and craving that is pulling them closer and closer together. These two complement each other so perfectly but it will take a lot of trust on Indigo’s part before they can have any kind of relationship. These two were definitely a slow building fire on the verge of exploding and when they finally give into the lust and desire that was oozing off of them, it was a massive explosion of unbridled passion!
The spice and daddy kink contained within the pages of this amazing story, set my body on fire. Harlem and Indigo both have very filthy mouths and I was so into it!
I absolutely loved Harlem and Indigo’s love story. It was filled with action, suspense, violence, drama, emotional turmoil, danger, passion, sizzling chemistry and an undeniable love!
Every time I read a new book by Mackenzy I’m like “this is my favorite!”, so I’m done saying it! All her books are phenomenal, once you start you’re not going to want to put it down. If there’s a H in any book I’ve read that truly deserves a HEA, it’s Harlem. This man doesn’t take any crap, but there’s such a soft side to him & he’s been hurt so much. My heart went out to him & I felt so bad when all he did was try w/Indigo & she kept him at arms length. He always felt like he wasn’t good enough. So I was actually glad when he finally put Indigo in her place & walked out & then Cash did too. I loved that she was fierce & independent, but I thought she was too judgmental & a B. It was hard to like her at times w/how she treated Harlem. These 2 were HOT, & Harlem & his dirty, filthy talking mouth, OMG. There were many times I was laughing, especially when Harlem referred to his “rocket in his pants that’s ready to launch”, & freaking Manny in his pink apron! I’m excited to see if Stella gets her story! She’s such a spitfire & I loved seeing her get her dad going in the scene w/Priest! I’m super excited for Tag & Luna next! She’s a spitfire & he’s a grumpy biker that has no f to give, plus they’re step siblings! Sign me up for that!!!
I have read a few of the author’s books and they do not disappoint! We follow Harlem who is the MC club’s Enforcer and Indigo who is the owner of Sweet Treats baker. These two worlds entangle when the MC club takes ownership of a share in Indigo’s business. There was a rollercoaster of emotions and intense attraction between the two. They both are single parents and are able to connect on that.
Indigo is a very strong and stubborn character. She is 18 years younger than him but holds her ground. In the beginning she is not a fan of Harlem only because she doesn’t want to express her feelings. But Harlem falls first and hard. Harlem wants Indigo no matter what she thinks of bikers. They have a push and pull connection that was written very well.
This story is well developed and we can see the progression of their connection and then relationship. When there was a difficult situation going on Harlem was there to care for Indigo but to also make sure the situation was taken care of. Indigo wanted to be involved and was fighting it because she is strong but she trusted Harlem and listened to him.
I love all the characters in the story. I would love to see what is in the future of Indigo, Harlem and their kids.
Ok Mackenzie! Harlem was one spicy hot Daddy! I wasn’t sure if anyone could compete with Cash. He sure has reached the top. Cash and Harlem can share the top spot.
Harlem is tough gritty single father who, doesn’t give up. He is also sweet and hard. Protecting the bakery and protecting Indigo.
“Don’t you know, sweet lips, “I’m bad to the fuckin’ bone, ain’t no nice boy in me. So I guess that rules me out.”
Indigo an independent single mom, bakery owner doesn’t want anything to do with a motorcycle club. She deals with Harlem and try’s to out up a brave front. She is definitely determined, independent, strong, and loves fiercely.
“I… No, Harlem. I don’t want this. I’m just another conquest to you. One that you can brag about later to the guys, and I’ll be a laughing stock. I know how you all compete with each other…”
Great story of some drama, suspense , and holy spice! Daddy Harlem has a mouth that is filthy. Indigo knew what to say and egg him on. Perfect chemistry and couple!
“There you go. Takin’ mine for the road. Since you don’t want me around, or to breathe the same air as you, I’m takin’ off. Forget everything we said and did, got me?”
“I never thought I deserved a good man,” I whisper. “I think that’s what it is. I just thought I could do it alone because it was easier, but I wasn’t really happy.”
Another amazing instalment of the Nola Rebels MC series by Mackenzy Fox.
Harlem definitely had his work cut out for him where Indigo was concerned.
She was one feisty woman who took no prisoners and zero F"s were given.
She was feisty, independent, opinionated and deep down lonely.
Indigo came from a MC background and had a terrible childhood that led her to think that all MC clubs were the same as her fathers .
So when Harlem and the Rebels stepped in to help save her bakery she tolerated their presence but in small doses.
Harlem raised his children on his.own when his woman and mother of his kids walked out on them when they were babies. His thoughts on love and marriage were tarnished and just lived with the knowledge that love wasn't in the cards for him . That was until Indigo's smart mouth and sass aimed in his direction practically knocked him off his feet.
When Indigo's past comes back to haunt her and her daughter Harlem and the club ride in on their Steele horses and hunt down the man that indigo thought was long since dead .
Finally realizing that the Rebels were nothing like her.dads.old MC she had a lot of apologies to make and amends to make right and starting on the top of the list was Harlem .

Indi grew up in an MC family. She’s a survivor and takes absolutely ZERO sh*t from anyone. She’s stubborn to a fault.
Harlem is a big, protective, surprisingly sweet MMC, despite his brutal position as enforcer in the MC. He has a soft spot for his two kids and for Indi, despite her glacial attitude towards him; for some reason, she’s the only person who does it for him. 🥵
It’s an uphill battle. First Indi lets Harlem into her bakery; then her bed; then her heart. ❤️
Thoughts 💭 🏍️ The enemies to lovers trope was particularly hot with these two, since Indi was so against having a biker be a part of her and her daughter’s lives. 🏍️ Four words: age gap daddy kink 🥵 🏍️ There were some really real topics the author tackles in this book, from being single parents to an “older” man’s lack of s3xual drive (not with Indi, though, thankfully!) to d0mestic vi0lence and I thought they were really well-written. 🏍️ This series has been really fun to read and I’ve loved seeing this world grow with each new couple. Strong, kicka$$ women + protective, hot men = perfection.
Thanks so much to Mackenzy Fox and The Author Agency for the ARC of this book!
Indigo owns the local bakery and begrudgingly had to accept help from the Rebels MC to prevent the store from closing and wants as little as possible to do with the MC but Harlem keeps showing up much to her disgust making that impossible. The ensuing bickering and sexual tension between the two is pure perfection.
There is great character development especially as Indigo struggles to come to terms with wanting a relationship with an MC member after her traumatic history. Harlem is an amazing dad and the way that he loves his children and would do anything for them really comes through.
As usual there is plenty of steam, tension, and without giving anything away moments where your heart will be pounding and your stomach in your throat as you anxiously wait for a happy outcome.
I will be honest and say that the daddy kink still gives me the ick - no judgement if that's your thing but personally it's just a hard no but despite that I still thoroughly enjoyed this book!
Manny still remains as an absolute highlight of this series and I'm secretly hoping that we get to see a relationship between Stella and Priest develop...
This is the fourth book in the Nola series. Yes you can read it as a standalone but it will enhance the experience if read in order. So you have Indigo who is the daughter of a former 1 percent MC prez and mom that could be best described as a gestational carrier. Our fierce female still tries to find love and happiness but unfortunately finds Mr. Wrong but out of the relationship she gets a daughter. So yup this is a single parent story. But wait it gets better.. Harlem our MMC is a single parent as well. And generally I tend to avoid single parent trope. But this one was done fabulously. As mentioned Harlem is a single parent due to his wife leaving him and the kids. Harlem comes into Indigo's life when the rebels look into investing in her bakery. With little options available to takes their offer but she has rules of her own. Poor Indigo has a biased opinion on bikers due to her upbringing. But bless Harlem for sticking around and showing her what true love is and that not all bikers are bad. And when the spice hits-yall out there with the daddy schmick will love this book....Just sayin
