Heinar Kipphardt (8 March 1922 - 18 November 1982) was a German writer. He came to prominence with the documentary theatre during the 1960s. He is best known for In the Matter of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a dramatization of the Oppenheimer security hearing.
I really liked the different texts between the main story of Eichmann. It supported the idea that what happend during the second world war, as horrible as it was, is not something that might not happen again. Maybe in a different context but the way human beings treat other human beings has not changed. The cause might be different but the way it is done has not changed so much.
Why did I not read that earlier? Great book and great analysis of the average person who believes there is no responsibility at all when just following orders.
