radical leftist noir set during the HUAC era featuring FRANCES FARMER and DALTON TRUMBO as characters!! lobotomy is one of the most evil medical innovations of the past 100 yrs and u should think about it every time you see one of those "well meaning" liberal yard signs that says IN THIS HOUSE WE BELIEVE SCIENCE IS REAL. science IS real... real bad! legit interesting novel conceptually & well written altho im not exactly well versed in detective fiction..
