Always the mom-friend and never the mom… That was the most painful feeling in my life until now.
My new found pack was finally settling in until my past came calling. Viper. A powerful alpha and my ex-fiancé I’d left with a bullshit apology.
Not only do my besties want answers, but so does my pack, and the alpha who isn’t too keen on the ex part of the fiancé description.
As I’m battling my own inner doubts, my mates come together to show me that they love me– curves, baggage and all.
Will we all come to terms with our new future or will I find myself running again from the only men who’d made me feel like a real omega?
This is a why choose poly contemporary omegaverse series of standalones. The characters are all adults and there will be mentions of alcohol, drug use, and some violence. Some of the books in this series will contain MM.
Bikers & Bars is the third book in the Omega Besties Series, which is a series of interconnected standalones. This book is a second chance, age gap, MC, Omegaverse romance with some major steam and a great story.
I adored this story and its characters. Eliza and her guys, Loki, Romeo, and Damien are all terrific together. I loved the way their relationship grew and developed. I loved how understanding and loving the guys are, even amidst the secrets that Eliza harbors.
The storyline and storytelling, as well as the writing, flow, and pace of the story were all fantastic. I am definitely in love with this writing duo. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it. I am very much looking forward to more from these writers in the future.
It needed editing… one of the “besties” literally has her name misspelled. Yes it’s a shirt book but everything happens so fast. She doesn’t want a pack but agrees 10 minutes later to it. Loki doesn’t want Romeo in the pack but the next morning he’s fine with it. Damien is livid he found his “mate” but forgives her immediately and all is well and he leaves his MC. She’s scared for over 4 years about her infertility but realizes as soon as she says it out loud she doesn’t want kids and is healed right away. This just continues for the whole book!! In between the bigger events is SO MUCH telling. Nothing gets fleshed out, it feels like I read a highlight reel of this story.
I don’t remember if the first two of this series were full of the same because it’s been so long since I’ve read them but I won’t be rereading to find out.
Also I know omegaverse doesn’t have real rules and authors can make it their own… but what was the point of this being omegaverse? It’s missing practically every quality that makes the A/B/O dynamic fun and interesting. This is basically just a RH/why choose/poly book. To me, it feels like a ploy to get readers who like OV to read this. Take out any mention of their designation and this isn’t omegaverse because it lacks so much.
Oh I remembered more… these are supposed to be interconnected standalones but I was so lost trying to remember who everyone was from the prior books! A piss poor job of making them a standalone. Like it’s just a series, market it that way if you aren’t going to give ANY summary of who’s who and what has happened prior. We don’t even get character descriptions for everyone in the pack of THIS BOOK. Like???
I’m sick of Valentina being an all encompassing goddess character. She is basically a deus ex machina and swoops in and out making things happen like a fairy godmother so no actual work has to happen for character development to progress. It’s lame and partially why everything feels so surface level.
I should have DNFd this and I wish I had rated/reviews the first two so I could know if they’re all like this or if it’s a dud on its own.
This is the 3rd book in the Omega besties series and the one I was really looking forward to it, Eliza has been the mother of the group and as each member of her besties start to find their packs she is feeling lost and displaced. She is involved with 2 bikers, Loki and Bane, that love her with all their heart but can't understand why she doesn't want to become part of a pack with them. She has issues from before, issues with how society feels she should be as an omega and she has heard negative comments because how she is and that is why she left her first love and why she is unable to commit. They introduce Loki's cousin in a very hot way, needs to be read and "felt". Then boom, right when she is going to tell Loki and Bane about her ex and what is going on with her, there he is. Damian is the leader of another pack and it is quite a shock for him to see her and he is not going to let her go again and also wants an explanation! With the help of her besties and Valentina and her men she finds herself and finds her purpose. And as you see in the first books she is a very strong kick butt woman and in this story is definitely not the damsel in distress. Just a really good book showing that we may feel we need to meet societies' standards but maybe just maybe they aren't for us. Hot and steamy as usual and once again hoping after Teagan's book we get a Valentina book, she is a hoot! Next is Teagan and I think that is going to be one interesting story.
I don't know whether this is just different from some of my most recent books I've been reading and it's throwing me off, but I didn't like this book as much as the previous two in this series. That is not to say that I didn't enjoy it, because I did. I just wish there was *more*. We first saw the developments of Eliza's and her pack's relationship in the other books of this series but I was hoping to see more into it. This book was very fast paced, which for a standalone, it sort of needs to be, but I would have really liked to see things broken down a bit more and maybe some longer steamy scenes. This could very well be me comparing this to other books but those scenes seemed so short to me. Lol
One of the things that I really liked about this book was Eliza's past meeting her present. The addition of her ex really added to the group in a nice way. There was tension, a second chance, forgiveness, and the anticipated problems from sources outside of their own group. Plus, I really enjoyed how even though he was angry, he didn't have this huge vendetta against Eliza. He wasn't out for revenge or to hurt her like she hurt him, but to understand why and take his claim back. It could have gone in a completely different direction but I am glad it went the more positive route instead and that Eliza finally got to live her life without focusing on her past.
Honestly, I don't think this one was bad, I think it just fell victim to high expectations. I've been dying to get to Eliza's book since the first book so I had this one so built up in my head that I couldn't wait to get to it. However, it kind of didn't live up to my expectations. It wasn't bad though. I just had high hopes for it. I can't wait to see what the next book will be like since it should be the final in this series and this book ended on a big cliffhanger for that book and I cannot wait to see where we go in that one. It honestly left me super excited for Teagan's book! I haven't cared much about her since she's always in and out of the story so much due to her job but this book ended in a pretty big cliffhanger for her and now I cannot wait to get my hands on her book!
While I’ve loved this whole series, I just found this book a little too fast paced for me. There’s been this push and pull between Loki and Bane since the first book and I was a little disappointed how we didn’t get to see more of that. Then out of nowhere, Romeo has joined the back with very little build up and then bam we have Damien.
I just felt like there was a lack of character development and depth, especially for Eliza’s last two pack mates.
Though once again, the love between these group of omegas have me jealous in their constant support for one another. Can’t wait for Teagan’s book.
This is one that’s definitely more enjoyable for having read what’s come before it. Eliza has this ongoing relationship with two men from the MC, and Loki and Bane have been ready to lock things up with her for a bit. There is just the pesky problem of her attraction to Romeo and the fact that she walked out on her mate, Damien, when she learned of her fertility issues. This one IMO reads super fast, so having the information from previous books helped a lot as far as development because there isn’t a lot of that contained in this one. What I loved was how Eliza works through her own issues and finds her own strength. The bestie group is still second to none with this group as well.
I love the diversity of the ov universe. And this series is such a sweet and spicy addition! You can honestly never go wrong with Jarica and Suki! I love the relationship eternally the omegas and their various packs. How they all come together as one big pack, or Family as Maximo would claim! And there’s some drama, and trouble that finds them but it’s not the deep dark traumatic stuff that’s in a lot of books. It’s just enough to keep you on your toes trying to figure out how they will resolve the issues. Going to have to buy these in paperback to add to my physical library! 😍 Happy Reading Friends!
I love these Omegas! This set of besties is just everything. This is Eliza and her pack’s story. Eliza, two rough and ready bikers, a mechanic, and an ex that isn’t exactly thrilled to be an ex. Eliza, an omega that doesn’t go into heat, ran from her past while helping her friend Hazel hide from the cult she was raised in. As all of her friends start to pack up, she becomes lost as her whole focus had been their safety and happiness. I’m so glad she found her place and her happiness! Can’t wait for Teagan’s story! 💜
These Omegas give off the best vibes, and Eliza’s story was super easy to fall into. Eliza is an omega who is unable to go into heat and therefore feels unworthy to have a pack. Eliza’s situationship with two biker Alphas who want to be a pack plus their cousin and her ex who never wanted to be an ex makes for an interesting combination of individuals as they find their way to a HEA. This standalone is a quick and easy read with all the love we need out of an omegaverse. Can't wait for the next story in the series!
Bikers & Bars is a why choose poly contemporary omegaverse romance. It is a standalone and is the third book in the Omega Besties series. The series does not have to be read in order. Please check trigger warnings before reading as this book contains dark themes. This story follows our FMC who feels unworthy as she faces some heartbreaking truths. She does find her guys and the work to prove she is their perfect omega. This story bright tears to my eyes and I loved it. I can't wait to read more from these authors in the future.
Eliza and Hazel are absolutely tied for my favorites of this series.
Let me just start by saying, Eliza was so relatable for me. As someone who struggled with infertility, I loved the acceptance she finally found and the knowledge that maybe.. just maybe.. she didn’t really want children. That was me, and to see that put in a book was so validating.
I loved her guys too, and the second chance that Damien brings along. Loki and Bane are everything and Romeo needs to be protected at all costs.
Bikers And Bars by Suki Williams and Jarica James is part of the Omega Besties Series. This was Eliza's story. She is a strong, smart FMC who knows what she wants and gets it. I loved watching Romeo, Bane, Damien, and Loki get together and love Eliza for who she is. I have enjoyed all the books in this series, and this was not different. Looking forward to Teagan's story. I hope that is the next one!
In order to understand the dynamics in this book, you definitely need to be sure that you’ve read the first two standalones in this series. Without it, you won't be able to appreciate the relationships Eliza began in those books. With that being said, it was great to get Eliza’s POV. I still love the omega besties, and I love how they each continue to grow both together and apart. This was a quick and easy read, and now I can’t wait to see what comes for our last omega bestie!!!
I swear this is one of the best cast of characters. I love how intertwined all the packs are. The found family vibe is amazing. I have been looking forward to this book for a while. It didn’t disappoint. I loved the guys. Watching Eliza accept herself and find her strength was everything. She was one tough chick and held her own when needed. I can’t wait to hear Teagan’s story. This series is a must read and reread for me.
Just when I thought I couldn’t enjoy this series more in comes Eliza with all the drama of MC guys. She’s been with Bane and Loki for awhile. But when they agree to expanding the pack to include Romeo they didn’t realize not all the slots were full until part of her past comes into town. There’s some decent emotional and character growth. But not as much as I love. Eliza’s stubbornness and reactions keep it interesting though. Can’t wait for Teagan’s story!!!
This was just such a great story for Eliza! Jarica and Suki have done such a wonderful job on the narrative, the world building. It has been an absolute treat to meet all the omegas and their newly found packs.
Bikers and Bars is Eliza’s story. She got a good little thing going on with 2 members of the local MC. and she adds a new member to her harem fairly quickly. Then her ex shows up. And it’s a super fast 2nd chance romance. Would love to have seen that developed more but for the sake of the standalone, it works out ok. Im looking forward to Teagan’s story.
Eliza’s story was more chaotic than the previous two Bestie stories, if that’s even possible to imagine! I adored the mild but traumatizing drama and how this pack not only grew together but faced everything head on. I also love that Eliza is unable to have kids, that rep is much needed! I can’t wait for Teagan’s story!
Bikers and Bars follows Eliza as she heals from her past and learns to embrace the love her men so desperately want to give her. This is a short and fast read filled with some humor, low angst, and mild spice. I love how much we see of Valentina in this book. She is one of my favorite characters in this series!
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for our last bestie in this universe!
I really love this series of stand-alone books. This one tells the story of an omega who hasn't gone into heat and that makes her think unworthy of a pack. However some guys have a diffeopinion on the matter. Two bikers, their cousin and her ex who doesn't want to be an unlikely pack but can they prove to their omega she is worth it. Eliza I adored as character so I loved her story so much.
This omegaverse was sweet and filled with tender moments. Eliza is an omega who doesn't have heats and cannot have children, which has filled her heart with ache and has made her insecure in her status. She and her guys, Loki, Romeo, and Damien work together to make a happy and working relationship. I absolutely adored them and their story!
Found family, reverse harem, and omega smut all wrapped up into a quick read? Heck yeah. My only "complaint" is that it could absolutely be longer but that’s what novellas are for right? Lol. I automatically love everything that comes my way from Suki and Jarica and this book was no different. Just happy the "mom“ of the group got her HEA
Oh another great read in this book. I’m glad and happy without it turned out. She didn’t get magically fixed. She though about she wanted and worked towards it. Loved seeing her besties and her guys. Can’t wait for teegans book.
Another great read in this omegaverse series about a group of besties finding love. I loved Eliza and all her guys. This book was action-packed and all the guys made me swoon throughout. I can't wait for the next book in the series I am hooked.
Eliza finds her pack with Bane, Loki and Romeo then her ex Damien shows up and no longer wants to be an ex. He wants his Omega and tat means he is not letting her run again. Now she has her guys and her besties. It was interesting how they all meshed. Look forward to the next story.
I was not prepared for how fast this book jumped into the story. I loved everything about it. The relationships between the characters were so well developed and I loved getting to see the other besties as well. Highly recommend!
Great MC Omegaverse! Man I love the ladies in this world. Eliza was awesome and I loved her pack. Especially how they came together. The book really had me at the edge of my seat towards the end and the spice was chefs kiss 😉. I can’t wait to read about Teagan!
I like reading books from these two writers. It keeps me on my toes to see what is coming next. Never a dull moment for our hero's (both male and female). Well written. My problem with the books is that when I start reading, I can't put it down till I find out what is going on with everyone.
After all her omega friends seem to not need her anymore, Eliza feels a bit adrift. Enter not only her new pack- but a mysterious obstacle in her past.
