This is a very basic book on wine. After quite a bit of general information on the making, storing, serving, etc. etc. of wine, the remainder of the book is divided into "cards" as in a deck of playing cards. Each type of wine is a separate card. Each card lists the origin, reputation, taste, and perfect food matches. I learned a few interesting morsels (such as the origin of port), but the book is likely most useful as a reference tool when planning a dinner and wanting to select an appropriate wine. It was a Kindle freebie, a quick read, and worth both the price and the time I spent reading it.
