The Ghost and the PoltergeistBook 34 in the paranormal cozy mystery seriesHaunting DanielleLiving in a haunted house is nothing new to Danielle. In fact, she’s rather fond of the ghosts who visit Marlow House. But after she brings home the twins, unexplained paranormal activities in the nursery perplex not just her, but the ghosts who frequently visit Marlow House.
Danielle and Walter are handling the twins with perfection. Lily is more than ready for her baby to be born. Things get mysterious when things even our mediums cannot see the source of things happening. A rocking chair that rocks on its own, stuffed animals moving on their own. The stuffed animals at times are tossed at people, even towards those not in the 'know' of ghosts. No one can weave a story to explain what is going on, since even Marie and eve cannot see who's behind this. Ms. Bobbi has created cherishing moments with suspense and endearing times. Digging into the quilts unknown history is eluding them. It seems something is attached to this quilt. They uncover many secrets and is far from direct discovery since those involved in the quilts history have moved on. Dead or alive, makes the information difficult to find. Personally I loved this segment of the Marlows' and Barkleys' and friends. I cannot wait to read about Lily having her baby. I think Marie will be in heaven with all the babies to take care of
How in the world does this have such a high rating???????? This series needs to come to an end. It’s just so ridiculous. It’s worse than when Marlena was possessed on Days of Our Lives.
A fantastic storyline with very interesting characters! This is an incredible series! Once I start a new book I end up reading straight through. Every book, to me, is a masterpiece. There has not been one disappointing book in the whole series! Bobbi Holmes is a phenomenal author and is a genius in creating a ghostly mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book. This is a series I hope never ends!!!!!!
Twins can be fun, my family has several sets. Walt and Danielle are getting into the grove of having the babies in the house. Now there is something going bump in the night, oh and flying stuffed animals. The arrival of a quilt has been sending everyone into a tizzy. Where did it originally come from. They fond out and had hoped for a better ending. Plus Clay coming back and trying to take something that did not belong to him. Oh and way to go Max!!💙💚
This was definitely worth the wait since the last book, but I was hoping for a little more action and a little more conflict with the characters. From the title I expected a lot more paranormal action, at least. It was still nice to see everyone and how the new parents are settling in. I love how close everyone has gotten. It’s a beautiful chosen family and I’m glad Danielle has that.
This book is brilliant, veering away from the seen to the unseen haunts. Walt and Danielle are worried when a quilt given them moves around by itself, and things are even more weird when Walt insists it's not his doing. Then there is knocking. Danielle investigates but seems to get nowhere.
To make matters worse, an old enemy shows up with an evil plan.
In #34, we meet Danielle & Walt's twins, and the house across the way with the tunnel is for sale. Their best friend, Lily, gifted the twins a unique quilt handmade for twins. But the quilt seems possessed. It photographs weird. It keeps ending up in the same place, no matter where it's left. It projects stuffed animals at anyone who tries to talk to it. The whole neighborhood is talking about it - mediums, spirits, and regular folks. They're also all concerned about the sale of the house, as it's connected to the Marlow house by the old tunnel. The town has yet to make any moves to secure the tunnel properly. With the babies in the house, that tunnel is more of a security risk than ever. My first book of any sort (audio, in this case) that I started in 2025 & finished in 2025. One might think that after 30+ in a series, things get old, repetitive, and predictable. But that is not the case with the Haunting Danielle series by Bobbi Holmes. I have listened to each one, narrated by the talented Romy Nordlinger on Audible.
I think I say so with every book that I love, love, love this series!
Danielle and Walt have newborn twin babies. When strange knockings and toys flying off the shelves in the nursery start to occur the Mediums of the block wonder if the activity is connected to an antique quilt their friend Lily bought the twins at an estate sale. Investigation into this uncovers a tragedy and an unidentified woman murdered years ago. That's one part of the mystery. The other involves a plot to kidnap the Marlow's newborn twins and hold them for ransom. Luckily, there are a few helpful friendly ghosts who help out.
In some ways, there’s an element of same, same to this Haunting Danielle story, only this time the haunting is different, and I found myself drawn along for the adventure. With a haunted quilt in the nursery with Walt and Danielle’s twins, it would be nerve racking for any new parent, and for parents who see ghosts normally but can’t see this one, I’d imagine would be even more freaky. From Marie and Walt getting the blame, to something even more scary, I loved the humour that rung through, the familiar voices of the local residents, and Marie’s ability to chastise her grandson years after her death, this was just the easy New Years Day read I needed :)
After Danielle and Walt bring the twins back to Marlow House, Lily gifts them with a beautiful, heirloom, handmade quilt that she bought at an estate sale. Not long after, strange things (stranger than usual, I should say) start happening. It appears that there's a spirit or ghost, but NO ONE can see it - not any of the mediums, nor Eva and Marie! Danielle starts researching the history of the quilt, and what she discovers will solve a cold case that no one knew existed! The resolution of this mystery had me in tears.
The Ghost and the Poltergeist of the Haunting Danielle series delivers a chilling blend of familial bonds and supernatural disturbances. The twins’ arrival at Marlow House stirs more than just the hearts of the living; it awakens a restless spirit determined to connect with them. This installment weaves a tale of eerie encounters and emotional depth, solidifying its place as a standout in the series. A must-read for fans of cozy paranormal mysteries.

This was another winner. I love this series and have loved all 34 books I have read so far. I loved this series. Every book had a wonderful story and I love the characters in every book. I highly recommend the Authors of this series. They !have wonderful imagination s. Once I start this book I do not want to put it down. Diana Romano
I just love this series. Each book has a new story that manages to keep the same thread of people in it interesting. In this story something new comes that isn't just another ghost the mediums can see. Plus ties in a few previous characters. Well written and fun. I feel like included in the story and can't put them down. I do hope it goes beyond the 35. I want the series to keep going!!
I love these books. I was afraid after Danielle had the babies they would stop. Glad to see the whole gang is still together and still dealing with criminals and the paranormal. This time it was a poltergeist, no ghosts until the end. I did guess the whole murder and the person responsible but it didn't detract from enjoying the book.
I about had heart failure when reading what was being planned for the twins! Walt and Danielle make amazing parents. Everyone needs a Marie and Eva in their lives! I can’t wait for the next book to come out! I also can’t wait until Addi and Jack are in the talking stage and ask for Gamma Marie like Connor does!
I rated this 3.5 stars. Danielle was given vintage twin blanket, but the blanket seems to be haunted. While knocking on the wall to let her know the babies are waking up is helpful, the objects being thrown around is not so much. This one was hard. Old murder, children abandoned, family trauma passed down through the years. This was hard
Who wouldn’t want to be included in this group of great people?!? I love how the lives connect and continue. Can hardly wait until September for the next book. Please keep writing!
The characters and story line are fascinating. Bobbie Homes is brilliant at continuing to develop past and current characters while weaving new and exciting stories.
Characters Galore!!! Action, crime, ghosts, and family, make this book glow!!! I loved it, and I love the intricate characters. Bobbie Holmes has done it again!!! Wonderful!!! Can't wait for the next book!!!
Love this series and the crazy predicaments and murderous situations they constantly find themselves in all the time! Humor, great mysteries and life make for great storylines!
I was so engrossed with this new twist on a quilt having powers. Kept me enthralled as I could hardly put it down. Thank you Bobbi and looking forward to the next one.
Excellent characters and writing . loved how many different things were happening. Can't wait for Joe to find out they're ghost are real and how stupid he is when it comes to Danielle.
Excellent story line. Always enjoy Haunting Danielle, at 34 books, I'm still thoroughly involved. Anxiously awaiting book 35. I like to believe that I'm apart of the story. Thank you, Bobbi!
It was a great story. I loved how the little group gets bigger. The children might be like Walt. Or danielle . Wouldn't that be fun able to see an talk to ghosts an mo e things. Fun times ahead for them.
I love this series and have all of them. Already looking forward to the next one! The characters are engaging and humorous. They're always fresh never boring. The storyline is fantastic and keeps you guessing about what will happen next!
The only thing I don’t like about these books are that I whip through them then have to wait for more. They’re great one after the other and I hope Bobbi keeps them coming.
I thoroughly enjoyed this 34th book in the series. I just love Haunting Danielle, I love actually read it before the audio book comes out. I highly recommend this series.
Of course, I love this book, just like every Bobby Holmes\Anna J. McIntyre book I've read. She really is a great author. I suggest starting from the beginning and reading everything she's written!
