Also kehre ich zurück …
Aria Ray writes suspenseful, hot, and intense romance stories featuring powerful alpha-men and witty heroines, full of sacrifice, love, and happily-ever-afters. Like the heroines of her novels, Aria has always had a crush on sinfully sexy bad boys - dark, controlling, irresistible, but tender and loving.
When she is not writing or daydreaming about new stories, she loves to spend time with her own gang of alpha males - a husband and twin boys. But the real mob boss of the family is Don Corleone - the cat.

I like author style of writing. My first book by this author. Unfortunately I couldn’t stand Laura or her mother that I gave this book one (barely) I would read another book from this series but would not recommend this book to anyone. H great but heroine is a complete idiot. LAura starts off great then 5 chapters in she’s a clown. Razor is great but Unfortunately Laura make assumptions based on nothing , won’t communicate (more than once) takes off for 5 years doesn’t take responsibility (while hero is celibate) then comes back throws herself at razor like she didn’t mess up 🙄 she talks of trust but she still lies and lies/ hides for bs reasons. Her trust issues is based on nothing. Not sure why author paired Laura with Razor. I was hoping he’d get with Amber at least she was honest. Razor deserved more than this banana Laura. She Throws herself at hero and again doesn’t take responsibility for her actions eg his father missed out meeting his grandkids. scumbag Fictional female characters like this is off putting 🗑 not for me 👀 I wish my brain had a unread function. Anyway there’s a HEA
After a whiz-bang beginning, this book fizzled quickly and fell through the cracks into irrelevance. OK, so we have Laura, a massage therapist, who owns her own business and is initially written to be smart, funny, innocent. She meets Razor, of the Dark Slayers MC, who comes in for a therapeutic massage at the recommendation of a club brother. There is an immediate connection between the two with a lot of flirting going on during this so-called therapeutic massage. Believe me, she gives massage therapists a bad name and why not? She did not go into the field because of a calling – it was so she could have her own business and make her own hours. Nice. Just the massage therapist I’d want to go to. Not.
Razor is written with such meticulous attention to detail that the reader just knows the writer cares for him. He’s kind, loyal, attentive, protective without being a Neanderthal, and all-around good. He is all-in, totally committed to his relationship with Laura. So why on earth did Ms. Ray pair him with such a deceitful, lying, faithless female? Initially, they were an interesting pair: playful, flirtatious, acting out in a good way, enjoying each other. They were also supposed to be funny and while the writer attempted to inject humor into the relationship through conversation, I think it fell flat. Humor is difficult to write and IMHO, it missed the mark.
In Chapter 8, it all went south. Laura is visited by police officers with news of her stalker’s possible murder. Note the word, “possible.” No proof of murder, simply suspicions. Laura leaps to the conclusion that Razor murdered her stalker. She’s just found out that she’s pregnant, too. Now, what would a good girlfriend do? Get hold of the man she’s falling in love with, letting him know the police are asking questions? How about asking him if he did more than rough up her stalker? And how about letting him know that he’s about to become a father? All good things, yes? Yes. Did she do any of them? No. She ran. She packed up most of her office and items at her house and in her cowardly way, sent a delayed text message breaking up with him. Oh, good grief.
This is when I had to decide whether or not to continue with this irritating book. I was 26% of the way through, not completely invested, and the urge to return it to Kindle Unlimited was strong. I set it aside, then decided to speedread, skimming through the most horrendous parts…and there are several horrendous parts. This book is definitely not going into my permanent collection.
The plot did not get any better. Eventually, as advertised, Razor and Laura get back together…five long years later. She is still lying, withholding his children from him, and assuming the worst about him; this time she believes he committed arson at her mother’s house. At this point in the book, it’s important to just keep reading as quickly as possible.
In a version of the “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” Laura’s mother is an equal piece of work. She is ugly and hateful, non-supportive and a gossip who also thinks the worst of Razor…for no reason at all. Except, oh yes…he’s a biker. And some spoiled rich kid. Who knows where all that came from? Laura’s sister, Cheryl, makes an appearance, too, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. She doesn’t serve a purpose except, perhaps, the writer will include her in a future book. And, oh yeah, she’s a handy babysitter for Laura’s kids.
There are the usual errors – typographical, grammatical, structural. There are also parts that make little sense. For instance, at the beginning of Chapter 3 when Laura is thinking about Razor, she muses, “I put the brakes on the whole situation before it became an ethical violation. He was more than a good sport about it.” This sounds like the whole situation is their relationship and yet, in the next paragraph, Razor arrives at her house to pick her up for a date.
Also, her stalker took videos of her with Razor in a compromising situation. Razor, with the help of his MC brothers, found the videos in a cloud on the internet and destroyed them. Razor had a copy made for her and gave it to her on a thumb drive. At this, my eyes almost locked, I rolled them so hard. WHAT??? He gave her a video of what the stalker had recorded? And, double-WHAT??? She put it in her pocket for later consumption. OK…now this was something that had her so frazzled, she was having panic attacks. So, she calmly places the drive in her pocket? Oh, I so don’t think so…! Why would she keep it? The only conclusion I could draw was that the writer was going to use it in an upcoming scene and didn’t care how unrealistic the action of saving the video, then keeping it, would be.
In Chapter 4, Laura is musing about Razor, “This man was one in a million, and I’d have to be mentally deficient not to see that. Knowing him tilted my world back into alignment.” Can we say “inconsistent?” Too bad she didn’t remember this when the police came along to ask questions, no accusations, just questions. Laura is a completely disloyal, dishonest scoundrel (for all that word is usually reserved for males, it suits her).
Razor deserved a much better woman than the one the writer provided. Even after meeting again after five deceit-filled years, Laura thought she could excuse her behavior, keeping Razor from his children, because (in her words), “this wasn’t personal.” You know…it doesn’t get much more personal than that.
Some of the irritating errors include: ==) “All the while we had been taking, her hands had not stopped moving….” That should be “…had been TALKING….” It pauses a reader to ask the question, what were they taking? ==) “…this woman loved flirting almost as much as I did. This imaginary conversation flipped all the right switches for me.” What about their conversation was imaginary? It’s all been quite real. I think the writer is using the incorrect word here. Did she mean fanciful? I don’t know. But it causes a pause in the story’s momentum. ==) “…by the time I had consoled Laura enough for her go upstairs and rest….” That should read, “…for her TO go upstairs…”
While I really liked Razor’s character, Laura was such a weak sister that I could barely read about her without cringing. I wanted to like this book. The first few chapters were fun, enjoyable, and entertaining. The book devolved fast and never came back. There is an HEA, but it doesn’t feel right. I’m left feeling sorry for Razor who still deserves so much more.
I rated this book 2-stars because of its uneven style, the errors, and because its message is deplorable. To wit, just lie, cheat, and steal your way to a HEA. I’m not interested in any more books in this series. Of the more than 200,000 books that are published in the U.S. each year; it’s perfectly possible to find really good (5-star) books. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
Razor and Laura had an immediate and intense flame but outside sources played against them. Laura was too guarded and instead of talking and finding out what could have been, what may have happened, she ran. Her running left Razor a shell of a man. In the month they were together he'd fallen hard for her and five years did not erase the feeling of love, hurt, or abandonment.
I'm a sucker for a MC story and Razor and Laura had all the elements of a good one. The right amount of steam, suspense, there's A second, no third, no...A lot of chances to makes things right, but my biggest quarrel is Laura allowing self-doubt and others influence some important decisions.

A secret baby and suspenseful story. Laura falls for Razor and they hit it off great but at the same time someone is stalking Laura which puts doubts into her relationship with Razor. When she’s told Razor may be involved in killing her stalker, she suddenly makes a decision to leave Razor. It isn’t till a few years later when trouble comes for her again that she seeks answers from Razor about her current situation. It was a good story and the chemistry was hot but I kind of didn’t like how Laura doubted Razor for most of the book, when he had already done a lot for her and their family when it came to protection and caring.

I have to admit, I didn't care much for the character of Laura. Something about her just rubbed me the wrong way. The storyline was pretty good but some of it was predictable. Razor was done dirty and your heart bleeds for him, but he has his nasty moments too. Thunder was hilarious, and of course the other Dark Slayers brothers show up throughout the story, so it was an entertaining read.

I am continuing to enjoy this series with the Dark Slayers. This story however, had my emotions on high. This is the story of Razor and Laura. Razor met Laura when he went for a massage. The bond between Razor and Laura was almost instantaneous. A little flirting led to a date which led to spending just about every evening together. Laura had an obnoxious admirer (Marcus) who won’t take no for an answer, so Razor goes to pay him a visit. A few days later Marcus goes missing and Laura automatically thinks the worst of Razor and runs – she’s pregnant with his child and she doesn’t want him/her around a murderer. Razor never got over her leaving him. 5 years later and Laura needs help protecting her children, mom and sister. Who does she run to?
I am definitely Team Razor. Everything he did for her and she didn’t even give him a chance to explain. I was livid with this decision! When Razor was with Laura, he showed a different side and was more open with her than anyone else. I think Laura was selfish, and let trust issues get in the way. This is one character that I did not like! The only thing that came out of her that was any good was the twins!
Laura and Razor burned hot from the beginning but when she thinks he killed the guy who was harassing her, she packs up and leaves everything behind. She never tells him she is pregnant, she needs to protect her children. Over the years away she is still harassed, not knowing who is doing it, thinking it might be Razor. When her mother almost dies it is time for her to confront him to find out if he is doing all this.
Razor knew Laura was it for him, he has been a mess since she left, but when she shows up after five years, he is angry and surprised that someone is still after her. He make sure the Dark Slayers MC will protect her and her family.
Overall, I loved this story, Laura really did a number on Razor leaving like she did. Despite him helping her whenever she asks, but she still does not trust him, makes me crazy. She does not deserve him, and when he finds out about the children, what little edge he was given her disappears. Can these two find away back to each other, or will they only have the children in common?

This one didn’t really do it for me. Reading this book is like hearing about “that” friends love life - you know the one- the one who’s love life is a series of ups and downs and never seems to realize the role they play in all the downs. Stacy/Laura/ whatever her name is wasn’t leading character material for me personally. At a young age she was diagnosed with TSTL (to stupid to live) yet somehow managed to beat the odds and live this long. In some ways impressive, she’s a survivor- but through sheer luck it would seem. Razor for some reason held onto his feelings of love for this woman even though she left and he hasn’t seen her in several years. He stays celibate. She does too. Her reasons for leaving didn’t make sense- that’s the hardest part to process. I do think he could of looked for her, she wasn’t really hiding, she was at her grandma’s house? The author overused some terms without having a compelling reason- was like the mentally ill kidnapper was narrating this story. I don’t know. Secret baby stuff is a strange choice to make and needs a compelling reason.
I liked that this book had a slow burn introduction to Razor and Laura and showed them together as a couple before she ran away, often these tropes start with them meeting back up and don’t cover back story - in this book I thought they was invaluable and endeared the characters to me a little more, which was a good thing as though I enjoyed the book overall, Laura did grate on me somewhat with her doubts and aspersions over Razor, and her inability to process her own feelings and thoughts without letting others impact it.
I thought Razor was overall patient and kind, with a slight dark edge (not too much, very much less than any other character in the series so far, in fact he was probably by far the “softest” of the MC)
A not wholly unpredictable yet still enjoyable book with lots of romance, brotherhood and danger but not dark at all in relative terms to the MC genre in general.

Laura and Razor had an immediate connection she really falls for him but when she thinks that he's committed a murder she leaves. She needs to protect her unborn child so she doesn't ask any questions she just runs but over the years the harassment continues and someone goes after her mother. Razor has never been the same since she left so when she shows up after 5 long years to confront him about the attack on her mother and he's surprised and angry. Razor can't believe that someone is still after her and he pledges the MC will protect her and her family. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this suspenseful secret baby story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Laura finds herself enjoying a tough but beautiful biker who went from her customer to her lover. He might be muscular but his heart seems golden until he helps her with a problem and she thinks the worst of him. Running away with his unborn children means missing out on his love but he's dangerous.. Right?
I loved Razor as a character that you would expect to be a monster because of his biker status and appearance. He is actually kind, thoughtful, emotional and fair even after finding out about his children. There are times in this that I really hated Laura because of the time Razor has lost with the twins and her tendency to think the worst of him. I enjoyed the story with its twists and the plot was attention grabbing.

Ray has this in the bag, as far as MC books are concerned. Her characters have meaning, grit, loyalty and love. There is always substance within her books, this makes reading choices easier.
About the book: Razor is a levelheaded member of the MC. His brothers are his life, and he takes his duties seriously. He is also a savvy business man, Construction is no joke. When Razor goes in for an appointment with a massage therapist, he never expects to meet someone so beautiful.
Laura is softhearted, determined to make something of her life, and extremely beautiful. When she looks at Razor on her table, she is intrigued, and turned on. The appointment is full of heated chatter, longing, and soon it is apparent to the reader, these characters have formed a bond.
I recommend this book.

Very intriguing story with plenty of suspense, mystery, mistrust, stalker, blackmailer, kidnapping, passion, and steam. Laura and Razor hit it off right away but there are lots of outside influences that give Laura doubts. She ends up running away from Razor but finds out that she's having twins. Razor has never been the same since Laura left. After five years Laura comes back. They still love each other but Laura is still being influenced by others and her stalker hasn't left in all the years she's been gone. There might have been a chance between these two but Laura kept the biggest secret from Razor. Then Laura gets kidnapped, will Razor come and save her? Will he ever forgive Laura for the decisions she made without Razor knowing? You have to read to find out. Highly recommend.

I read all the previous books in the series and enjoyed all of them, but this was not it for me. I loved Razor as a character and I think his reactions throughout the book are pretty human, but I can't stand Laura or her mother. I can understand having some trust issues and doubts about a relationship early on, but WHY NOT TALK IT OUT FIRST? Also, it annoyed me to no end how the same trust issues are repeated over and over again. Even after admitting jumping to conclusion, the heroine makes the same mistake over and over again, which really frustrated me to no end. Overall, I think Razor deserved better than her and I feel there should've been more development to reach the HEA (the "all is forgiven" was a bit too rushed for me). I will continue reading the series, but I think this book was just not for me.
Very rarely do I read a book where I want to reach into my kindle every chapter and slap someone in the back of their head and tell them to get their head out of their ass!!!! This was one of them. The story was good, but Laura? I just wanted to slap her. I found myself mentally telling Razor to forget her, run, don't walk, fast. In real life, she would have been dropped like a hot rock, because it would always be there, the fact she can be so easily swayed to think the worst about someone that does nothing but treats you well and helps you, and does the right thing. People like that are exhausting. He will forever be proving himself. Well written books are meant to get a reaction, this one succeeds in doing that.
The formal and ‘Tracy Flick’ writing style just does not fit with MC books. It’s very off putting and cringeworthy. The storylines described always sucks me into picking up the book, but I have to force myself to push through the horrible writing style. This one was particularly bad, as the storyline was so unbelievable and full of holes. This was coupled with a highly dislikable h, who lacked any rationale thought when it came to major life decisions. So many Typos that made the reader have to re-read the sentence to figure out the intent of the missing, mis-spelled or just plain wrong word choice, which led me to believe a couple of times that it was being written by using very bad word recognition software: This is most definitely my last book by this author.
Razor has a appointment with a message therapist because his work in construction is giving him problems with stress and problems sleeping. So Laura is the therapist and once he see her he feels as attractions but is trying to be very professional. Laura also can’t believe the attraction to this big biker guy and is trying hard to be professional. Well it works until their first date then they both can resist this attraction. But trouble is spying on them and soon everything pulls them apart. But almost five years later that trouble is still playing with her and puts them in each other’s life’s again. Only to cause more trouble. So enjoy another good read and see the secrets and how much trouble comes their way before they get a HEA!!
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book in the Dark Slayers MC series is about Razor. He and Laura have an instant attraction between them. He wanted to be all in with her. He tried to prove his feelings by giving her his protection and his heart. Laura is a character that I hoped would develop into someone that deserved Razor. She started out as a good one but in the end I liked others better than her. I know that her conflicted feelings were a big part of the storyline but at one point I felt like she should trust him. I liked that Razor was willing to do whatever he had to do for his family and brothers. 3.5

Razor & Laura: TRIGGERS: stalking, assault, kidnapping, arson, sexual assault. This book was not my favorite of the series but only for the female lead. She seemed to be very headstrong in the beginning but then you can see the cracks begin to appear slowly. While she spoke of having strong feelings it Razor it's was real easy for her to believe him capable of doing some really bad things to her and her family and they didn't sit well with me. Her mom was extremely judgmental of Razor without knowing him personally and was able to get in Laura's head. This essentially ended up putting her in harms way. I didn't really like that. But the rest of the book was really good.
Nothing like getting a beautiful masseuse to work your body over. That’s exactly what Razor got from Laura during their first meeting. Things were flirty and they both couldn’t deny the connection they had. If only they both had it in them to trust one another.
Laura had a stalker but when the cops knocked on her door saying that Razor may have murdered this man Laura fled for five years. She had taken a couple of “extras” with her only to return once her mother was in the hospital.
This book was steamy and filled with so much mistrust that you gave up hope on the couple. Could their love make it through all of the secrets that were kept?
Razor is a good guy, typical Alpha Mac member but he takes care of the people he cares about. Laura is a local business Owner and is taking care of herself. They hit it off right away and things get steamy. Razor takes care of someone that is stalking Laura which causes her to doubt him and she takes off. Five years later she returns after her mom is hurt and asks the MC for help. I didn’t care for Laura’s character much, she was unfair to Razor and a bit flakey. I really liked Razor, he was genuine and caring. Lots of steam and plenty of action made this a quick read.

Laura meets Razor. He is sweet in the best way to her. She has a stalker named Marcus. Marcus records Laura and Razor having sex at her massage center. She finds out that she is pregnant. The police come by asking questions about her stalkers disappearance. Laura thinks Razor might have killed Marcus and runs away with no explanation to Razor. WTH? I hated Laura from that point. I don't understand how Razor took that pos back. Laura sucks!!!! Razor was a sweet character. I would recommend writing better female love interests characters to the author. Laura was stupid and ugly on the inside. Only reason was the twins is my thought.
I have to admit, I didn't care much for the character of Laura. Something about her just rubbed me the wrong way and her choices irritated me. I did however enjoy the story. Laura and Razor met and get really intense within a short time so when doubts rise Laura runs, taking a secret with her. When trouble calls again, everything Laura thought is put into more doubt, going back for answers will bring her face to face with Razor and having to accept what they had before never left. But secrets creep up but can they have a second chance?
When Laura disappears from Razor's life then shows up 5 years later needed answers and his help. The book is fast paced, steamy, a bit predictable, but a solid read none the less. Action packed, a few twists, turns, steamy, and more. This is a solid addition to the Dark Slayers MC series and another great read by Aria Ray. And the entire series can be binged read for free with your Kindle Unlimited subscription.

This has to be my least favorite book on the Dark Slayers, why? because I did not like Laura, like at all. I found Laura to be wishy-washy, and just a horny person who did not deserve Razor. Razor, dude! You spent one month with this chick who ghosted you and you can't forget her? What? and in 5 years, never once taken another woman? Yeah can't accept that. Then you forgave Laura, way to easily and was just to good to her for her to dump all over you again until she needs you again.., Loved reading of previous guys.
This is the 5th book out of 6 in this series titled, Dark Slayers. This story follows Razor and Laura. I liked Razor - he seems but harsh but is a good guy. I didn’t quite understand why Laura left but they seemed like a couple to root for. Laura has a stalker and Razor takes care of him but it makes Laura have doubts in him and she leaves. The story picks up 5 years later when she returns after her mom is hurt and asks the MC for help. Im not a fan of Laura’s but I liked Razor.

This was a great read. I loved that the author took time to build the story of Laura and Razor before jumping into the excitement. She allowed them to grow as a couple and you to learn about their history. Laura leaves when she thinks that he is involved with a murder and returns 5 years later looking for answers as she is still being harassed. When she retuelrns she returns with secrets of her own. Will they be able to get their love back or was that ruined?

Razor and Laura meet when he had to use her professional service. It was instant attraction. But like all good romances there were alot of misunderstandings after Razor took care of her stocker. Laura left town carrying his children.
Five years later Laura return to town, still not telling him about being a father. Five years Razor pined for this woman. Again Laura listens the wrong people.
Their story is one of a lot if misunderstanding but Razor and his brothers cone to her rescue and they get HEA. Great story
This is a very frustrating book to read. It's mainly just a yo-yo story. Not really a alpha saving a heroin. More like a girl who takes every one else's word but the guy she is suppose to love. He's bad than not so bad, over n over. Laura is extremely immature and very easily swayed. She is more of a child then a heroine. This is the 2nd book I didn't like. So I'm gonna try one more book of this series, and will be the last of it doesn't get any better.
