good until it left me hanging…

The female protagonist was pregnant at the end of the book and that was even in the epilogue. That is just wrong. I invested a whole 2 days reading a pretty good book and don’t even get a birth scene or a baby cuddle scene? Even leading up to the end the 2 leads are talking about telling the family the names they’ve chosen for the baby… and THEN THEY DO NOT GET A NAME REVEAL SCENE!!! What the heck is this bs?! I’m thinking I should knock this down to 3 stars instead of 4 just for that. If you’re going to have a series ending book you need to wrap up everything- not just give a pseudo wrap up that doesn’t finish things for the leads. Actually- the more I think about it, the more irritated I am. Jerky & lazy. The ending sucks. What a waste.

Captive Bride: The Complete Series by Stella Gray is my first Stella Gray book. I wish I would have been prompted to have read Dante and Marco’s trilogies prior to reading/listening to Armani and Kandi’s trilogy. I would have enjoyed the series a bit more. It took me until chapter 4 to figure out this was a mafia series. The characters needed a bit more back story development. Aaron Shedlock and Stephanie Rose narrate all 3 stories in the trilogy. I had a very difficult time listening to Stephanie Rose as Kandi. Her voice was almost robotic with forced emotion not a natural sound/rhythm. Aaron Shedlock was better but he seemed like he was forcing the sternness because Armani is a mafia boss. I wanted to know the end of the story so I continued and finished the trilogy.

Have you ever started a book with high hopes and then meet disappointment after disappointment? That’s this book. It’s the third in the series of the Bellanti brothers this time featuring Armand and Candi.

Why did this book disappoint because I HATE sappy female main characters. And Candi was wishy washy, easily used without a lot of confidence. This is not how she’s first presented but 2/3rds of the way through the book I disliked her intensely. Like girl grow a pair - pick a side - stop letting other peoples lies influence you.

So why did I keep reading? Cause I had to know how the story ended. I just couldn’t DNF it. However out of all three books, I really only liked Dante and Frankie. Glad I’m moving on from this family and this series.

Off the chain

I will say this need to be a made for tv movie series. The book Dante was the man Dante had me overwhelmed. But I wanted to go in the book and beat Jessica down she seemed like a soap opera chick and flighty as all get out. Yall I had to highlight some of the pages . Stella Gray you have truly went over and above .Marco and Karina was young love at its best. But oh my my my ARMANI was the man. Bad boy to the bone, so intriguing . I knew Candi was the mole she was too laid back, one thing for sure them girls brought them brothers to their knees.. LOVE LOVE LOVE this series can't wait to start on the next one

Ahh the last book in the series I will miss all of the Bellinti brothers ahh swoon these books are amazing I love big bad sweet guys and their strong wives so I highly recommend these to anyone who loves happy ending and I love the author for bringing these stories Thank you so much
