Penny, Bishop and Laken’s story! Penny and her dragons are everything! This story is similar to the others in this series but I’m honestly enjoying the low angst, consensual and smutty journey these women and their mate(s) take.
I’d write a longer review but this month has been crazy busy. Yeah, yeah, I’m the worst. But if you’re looking for a shifter romance with plenty of action, dominant alpha males and a sweet FMC, this is your series.
The twins were awesome. Penny had a lot to get through . This book had it all. I couldn’t put it down. It had me from the beginning to the end. I’m off the next book.
SUMMARY: Two dragons that love their treasure and horde what they consider theirs. Penny has hoped for love her whole life but behind her bubbly personality and fake smile she's pushing away the memories of being kidnapped that still give her nightmares. Penny knows someone is following her. She feels the presence of someone evil, yet there is another that protects her from the shadows. Bishop is a gold dragon shifter who will do anything for those he considers family. Laken is Bishop's bother who hates everyone and has dangerous secrets that he’s kept locked away from his siblings. Will Penny accept her dragons and the past that torments them?
REVIEW: Accepting Her Dragons is the fifth book in the Embracing the Bond series which tells the story of Golden Dragons Bishop and Laken finding their mate Penny. Bishop and Laken are twins that have been separated from each other for years because of the tragedy that took their parents lives. Penny has lived thru losing her parents to drugs then being kidnapped by crazy shifters. It was an exciting moment when Bishop and Laken finally meet Penny in person to make sure that she is their mate. It comes at a time in Penny's life when she needs to be loved and to give love in these twin dragons.
Another exciting moment had been when all of Penny's friends come together to rescue her from the Dragon hunters. It was great to read the reactions of everyone seeing Bishop, Laken and Saphira changing into Dragons that fly. All three of them have finally found each other so they could begin to heal their traumas but the hunters from the Bishop and Laken's past threaten to take it away from them. It was a journey with ups and downs but in the end all three were able to get their HEA. Onto the next Cheetah shifter love story!
This book was amazing. I literally finished it in a day. Each book shows you more of the world and friend group as you get farther in the standalone series. I will say it’s my bad I skipped like three books so I didn’t know who all the characters were but that was okay for me. It was still an amazing story!!
The twins sounded hot as fuck, I need a set of twins now. Also just how protective they are and understanding is absolutely amazing!!
Penny is still the strong independent woman she always claimed to be but now she is actually starting to see herself as that woman, and she’s starting to rely on other people. Which is like totally okay. As Laken pointed out you can be a strong independent woman and still rely on other people, such a great book that had a great message,
I loved this book so much, this entire series was so refreshing and sweet. I loved finally getting Penny’s story and Bishop was becoming a fav from other so it was so good to see them get their HEA.
This series all kind of have the sameish plot, I don’t mind that at all and I honestly enjoy it because it is interesting but not too mentally taxing. I love how the author introduces characters because it makes me hopeful for more in this series.
Overall I still think Bash and Marie are my favs but this one is high on this list! Can’t wait to read more!
Wow! Penny's bad date adventure just reached new heights!
If you're into learning all about the amazing world of dragon shifters and its technicality, this book is for you. It's filled with pride as the dragon shifters show off their unique powers and superiority over other shifters.
While there were moments that felt a bit repetitive, I was eagerly anticipating a steamy scene. Considering how proud the twins were of their dragon abilities, I expected something truly hardcore. However, it ended up being a bit tame for my taste. But hey, there's nothing wrong with a little vanilla now and then! I found some worth keeping quotes, too.
I gave it a 4 and not a 5 like most of the books. I enjoyed it, like the others, but I feel like this story had been sort of done before. I really like this series but they are now far enough along that the author really needs to come up with some new ideas or else I won't make it to book 9. I only really keep reading because I do like the characters and want to see who they end up with. Can't wait for Elijah's story. I'll be happy to be back with the 1 mate piece as the multiples is getting old.
I was so happy that Penny finally found her happy beginning. (Definitely the beginning and not an ending) Her mates’ traumas melded with hers perfectly so that they could understand her more.
There was some great spice in their story! But mostly a lot of sweet moments.
We got to see more into newer characters and I can’t wait to see how their stories turn out.
*cough* Anyways ! I came here because The Dragon's Bride made me develop an unhealthy obsession for dragons. But idk, it didn't quite hit here. This is also presented as a standalone, but I kinda feel like reading the previous books would have been way better.
Well, the thing is that this book was kinda lacking flair. Both in the writing and the storytelling and the story itself. Did I kinda enjoy it ? Yes. Will I read the other books ? Probably not.
Admittedly I skipped from book 1 right to this one, because I wanted to continue with Penny’s story. That being said I do feel like I should have gone in order to avoid some minor spoilers in between, but they are made as standalone stories with cross overs! I enjoyed Penny’s story, and loved the HEA, I am also looking forward to finding out what happens in the ones I skipped and the ones to follow! Another good why choose PNR, with an HEA!
So funny enough this was the book I saw on a reel and said... I'd like to read that. And then I found out it was a series so I started from the beginning. And I finally got to the is one.... And unfortunately it was my least fav so far. I didn't hate it and it was still fun to be back on this world. But yeah, in comparison to the other books it just wasn't as good. But I also don't want to give it to low of a rating.
Another good read. They all follow the same path as in theme. Of course the female is in danger of something or another. She finds her mate or in this case mates and they do everything to get her to accept the mate bond. All the while taking care of the threat to her. In this book it's Penny and her mates are the two dragon brothers, Bishop and Laken. Somewhere along the lines their sister comes into the picture.
This interconnecting series is fantastic! So much action, laughs and spice! Penny is finally getting her story told and it was perfect! Twin dragons 🐉…🔥🔥🔥
You will love seeing your favorite characters and all the new ones too. Prepare to fall in love again, dragon style.
I know I say that every time Miss Edwards comes out with another book but she just keeps outdoing herself! I've loved Penny since the first book and was thrilled she finally got her happy ending, with two gorgeous dragons at that! I can't wait to see who's story is next!
So many twist. As I was reading I was trying to figure out who it was. Loved reading Penny book. She finally found her happily ever after with Laken & Bishop. Let’s not forget she finally got not one but two men that cannot only pleasure her but will stop at nothing to keep her safe & happy. Can’t wait to read Elijah’s book.
am I the only one who hates Penny in this book 🤔. because I was so looking forward to reading about her, in the previous books she was a badass , wishing desperately for mates, and when she finally meets them..... she becomes I stupid moron who is questioning the bond and fights at every chance. so her is my honest review because common I can't be the only one who hated it!!!!!
I have loved every book in this series. This one is no exception. I loved getting to know Penny better seeing as she has been around since book 1. It was nice to see her finally get her happily ever after.
I have loved this series, this book was just as good as the rest! Multiple points of view, seeing all the characters from the other books, hot sex scenes. I can't wait for the next book!
Omg this book was amazing . Thank you TD Edwards for an awesome book. I been looking forward for Penny to find her mate and Bishop also but having them be mate with Bishop’s twin brother also is great. Looking forward to your next book;)
One of my favorite series that I have found and devoured in 4 to 5 days. It is good meaning; romance, relationship, character, personality, and the plot is phenomenal!!! *chefs kiss 😘 please write more I need more!
The sentences are simple and choppy, unlike language that people actually use. The MMC’s don’t really have any personality. Then you get to the end and Penny is told she needed to go through all that pain and trauma to make her strong. What in the patriarchal bullshit is that?
I am flying through these books, they are an easy read, make you chuckle, and give you the "awww" feels. River and Bash are my favourites, but Elijah and his crazy grew on me to, off to start his book now!!
Why have one fated mate when you can have 2. Yes, 2 mates is more work but when they are dragon's it makes it more enjoyable. This is a stand alone within a series. Definitely a must read.
