A warm welcome to all who read and all who write. I’m a little late to the game, but I’m here!!

As a reader, I love almost everything… thrillers, romance, contemporary, a wee bit of fantasy, nonfiction, etc. It really depends on the storyline. I love thriller/suspense stories with emotion.

As an author, I enjoy writing about real-life issues… with a twist. I write in a couple of different genres, trying to see what feels most comfortable. If you enjoy character-driven stories with messy emotions, you may like my books. Some common themes you will find in my books are: found family, survival, social justice, healing, hope, faith, redemption, etc. Even though my books sometimes tackle societal issues and intense subjects, they remain clean in terms of language and content, focusing on emotional depth and storytelling rather than explicit scenes.

This book was so intense and had so many layers to unravel. From the boyfriend, to the niece, the adoption agency the illegal abortions. This is a gripping story that made me want more and more and more. I love how even though Jessie just acted and never thought about her actions. She fought so hard for those girls in their therapy group. She showed them love, kindness and guided them to be better. I truly loved seeing that the girls had someone to help them. On to book 2

Desperate Girls by Bobbie Lou is intense from the start and doesn’t let up. The opening chapters immediately pull you into a world of secrets, shifting loyalties, and emotional volatility, and I found myself completely hooked. Lou wastes no time establishing the stakes, and that urgency carries through most of the novel.

The twists and turns kept me captivated, and I finished the book in less than two days. Relevant to many current issues in the United States. I look forward to the next book in the series.
