Regan has a new mission, given to him by the Cosmic power Creation. While his heart yearns to return to his loved ones, he can't ignore this. Not when the fate of his and an untold number of other universes depends on him taking action. Now he must cross the realm of Hellia to find a way to destroy something that seems eternal. At least he isn't alone. With Kala, some interesting residents of Hellia, and other unlikely allies joining him, Regan might finally destroy this prison once and for all. Louella's duty is to keep her people safe. As she seeks away to protect her people from the increasingly powerful enemies that continue to appear around the world, she also must find a way to bring Lelune to Regan. With him trapped in the realm of Hellia, that is more than a small problem. At least she isn't alone in her struggles. Friends and foes working together for a common cause, not too bad on paper.
I appreciate that this book has been edited for grammar. However, the plot is glaringly thin, and extremely confusing at times. I feel extremely lost toward the end of this incredibly short book, though the entire series has been getting shorter and shorter each book, it seems. The series transitioned very quickly from a unique core progression to a trashy teen action troupe, with multiple character perspectives necessary to follow the storyline. Even the cover art has stopped changing to follow the narrative, because we don’t know what the narrative is! What nonsense. Please wrap up this series, Mr. Peed. You’re 13 books in and no end in sight, and it’s becoming tacky, repetitive, and boring.
Have you ever met someone focused on a really good idea? But then they start obsessing on details for their idea. So they tweak things and add things and layer on things. This is where we are at. This is someone who has fallen down a creative rabbit hole and has fallen on a hot mess.
Regean’s (sic) saga continues to be a captivating read. His imprisonment in Helia (sic) comes to an end. But there’s more mysteries yet to be solved! Still a fast read and well told. I truly enjoyed this installment .
