I’m having so much fun reading this series! I love this characters and how they fall fast and hard head over heels. I was waiting for Karina and Lucas story. They are funny and their banter was so cute. Luca is a pretty boy with a golden retriever side to him. And Karina is an empowered Latina that doesn’t need help from anyone, until his blue yes captivate her to the point of no return. Love the reference to A walk in the clouds, is one of my favorite movies. This series is awesome and I can’t wait for Sofia and Franco’s story! I hope they all get their story written, brothers, sisters and all the BFF’s. Love their friendship group a lot!

🖤 Karina (FMC) is a student from Chile, living away from her family in Argentina and trying to figure our adulting as she goes. She doesn't have many but she has good friends and her life takes a turn when at a college party, she has a cute encounter with Luca (MMC), the popular hot guy that every girl wants and they get along so well, they dance and laugh but the night ends and they both part their ways. Karina focused on her school and family, but for Luca, those hours at the party change something in him and he NEEDS to have a proper date with Karina to swoon and win her over. Things get even messier, after going home to Chile, Karina sees herself in a tough spot being blackmailed by someone and against all odds, the one person that can help her, is Luca!
I absolutely loved this book! As a Brazilian it felt SO close to home the many Latin elements, the fact that I know exactly how it is to live away from my country and family, the Latin music, the big house with lots of relatives, the nice description of the recipes, the dancing, the late night events and just the overall setting of this book. It's a good steamy romance (yes, it has a lot of spicy scenes) and Liss does an amazing job giving us a feel good, close to home romance. It's the kind that just keeps getting better. Super proud of my Latina sister getting her book release and thank you Liss, for sending me the ARC copy of your book!
Karina comes from a close family that has owned a Chilean vineyard for several generations. She decided to go to school in Argentina where she met Luca. He is the campus ladies man. So why is he asking her for a shot at forever? Karina goes home for Christmas and something happens causing her to go back to Argentina early. She is being blackmailed and the person is now indicting her will go to her parents. When she goes back to Chile to try and handle the situation, Luca follows. To try and protect Karina, he offers to pretend they are dating.
My thoughts:
This is book 2 in the With You series by @lissmontoyawrites. So far it is my favorite. I enjoyed book one but I loved Going the Distance with you.
The chemistry and banter between Luca and Karina is just so well written. I liked the protectiveness of Luca. He did it without across as possessive. Family and friends are also I big part of the story but don’t take away from Luca and Karina. I also like the way the blackmailing part of the story was written. It is in the background and you know there is tension but they still are the main focus.
I can’t wait to get to Moving On With You and Entangled with You. Hopefully, I get the them this week but next week if not. I’m hoping each one will be better than the previous one.
Thank you @lissmontoyawrites for the ARC and apologies for taken so long to get to them
Luca Bianchi…how to describe Luca. He’s the goofball of the group, a bit of a playboy, a relentless flirt, and he’s a god on campus. He’s also on the search for his forever girl—hence his excessive stream of one night stands—and he thinks he’s found his “it” girl in Karina Godoy. Now…just to convince her that there’s more to him than what his reputation dictates.
Karina Godoy…she’s beautiful, she’s smart, she’s dedicated, and she’s self sufficient. Her family may be well off, but she’s determined to make a way for herself, make a difference, & live a life that’s worth living. Her family owns the largest vineyard in Chile, & they are close. She’s just trying to find her place in the family business & make a difference.
When Luca somehow convinces Karina that he seriously wants a shot at forever, the timing couldn’t be worse. With the holidays upon them, they are forced to attempt a long distance quasi relationship when she goes home to Chile. But one drunken night at a family party sets a whole different stage for their relationship progression. (Don’t worry…no cheating).
Even though Karina is disconnected & aloof, & even though Luca is hurting, I loved the way that he still knew deep down that she was his best shot at forever. But it’s not always easy admitting when we’re wrong. His pursuit of her was so sweet & had me swooning all over the place. The way that he knew exactly what she needed & he was determined to be that man for her. He slowly broke down her walls & proved to her that together, they were unstoppable.
This fake relationship, forced proximity, only one bed, boy obsessed, driven female romance was passionate, compelling, a little bit suspenseful, and took me on an adventure of self discovery, love, growth, & learning to lean on others when needed.
Finally I've could read Luca and Karina’s story. I was expecting this book for a long time and I wasn’t, even in the slightest, disappointed at all.
I was absolutely hooked by this story 🥰.
Karina is smart, funny with a filthy mouth that I didn’t expected but, I really liked this about her.
I already loved Luca from “A Lifetime With You” but in this story I fell in love even harder. I loved the way he was toward Karina. He pays so much attention, he’s so funny, so caring and ballsy 😅. He was amazing.
The banters between them was so great, their chemistry was electric and so beautiful. I also must mention the lovely friendships with their friends. 😂 Groups chat are everything.
But you know what make this book so perfect to my eyes? It’s not only a beautiful romance, but it’s a pure invitation to travel ❤️. Now I have to try all of the dishes 😅cause it’s look so yummy 🤤.
Thank you Liss for this book. You made me smiled, laughed, but you transported me completely one more time.
Luca has only one really wanted to live life to its fullest. That was until he pushed to spend time with Karina. He challenges her to believe that they could have a forever and she is ready to give him that chance. She left for the holiday and came back a totally different person. He can tell something isn’t right, but her claws have come out in full force to protect herself. When Karina goes home to help her family, she gets the surprise of Luca showing up. As these two have to play off that they are together, Karina learns that Luca is so much more than she ever realized. These two are total fire and ice and when they finally give in the smoke covers them all. Nothing is as simple as it looks and watching as Luca learns to break down the walls around Karina and learn what is going on she realizes that giving him a chance also allows her to give herself one. I appreciate that in this book we see not only a man fall first and fall hard, but truly fight for what he believes it right. He knows that she is the one for him but with everything going on, she cannot see past the dark cloud. With Luca’s help she learns that not everyone is out there to do bad things, but to help make things right. We get to see Karina learn to lean on those around her and trusting them, means trusting yourself.
This was an awesome adventure. I honestly felt like I had gone on a holiday and I could see and feel the sun and all the beautiful place in Chile. Liss MonToya is very new to me. This is book 2 in series but this was easy to read just as a standalone. Liss has written a story of true love and how far one would go to get it, once you know they are the one. Her writing and world building was well informed because it was truly beautiful to experience a whole new culture. I've not only enjoyed the story, I got to learn so much about the Country. OK now let's talk about Luca Bianchi from Argentina. He is known as the typical bachelor and Playboy. But is now ready to find his the 'special one'. That's Chilean Karina. He knows she is it, but now he needs her to believe it too. He was the perfect gentleman when needed, loving, caring and possessive and protective when needed. I mean can he get anymore perfect (oh and a beast under the sheets with a filthy mouth). Karina was just having fun and decided to explore if he could be her one too. But before they could further their relationship, someone from Karina's side is trying to destroy it all. I did like Karina but there were times she confused me at times. I understand why she pushed him away but once he accepted the issue and still wants her. Her excuse was quite weak. She went back and forth with this. I loved how Luca stepped up to help her and get rid of this threat. Their back and forth banter is hilarious. The group chat with their own best friends is too funny. It was such a fantastic light hearted love story. Luca definitely went the distance. I want my own Luca now. 😍 Book was fun, laugh out loud, friendship, family, enemy, blackmailing, adventure, exploring new country and food, love and delicious spice.
Favourite Quotes:
"He looks at me with those Caribbean blue eyes. “I told you I wanted a chance at forever. I don’t give up easily,”
"I want to date you, and if I need to start fake dating you to get what I want, I’m up for it."
“No one messes with what’s mine, and Karina is mine. Don’t ever forget it.”
“Dragonfly. I want everything with you.” He kisses me tenderly. “But when I make you mine, and I promise you Karina I’m going to make you mine. This thing between us has to be real, no faking, no pretending.”
"He’s making me swoon and making me wet all at the same time!"
“…Your form and color are the way I love them. You are mine, mine, woman with sweet lips and in your life my infinite dreams live…”
“This is the beginning of our forever, dragonfly. Because going the distance with you has been the best adventure of my life. I can’t wait for what’s yet to come.” (*SWOON).
The cultural immersion that Liss Montoya includes in her story is something I enjoyed very much in A Lifetime With You and was looking forward to in Going the Distance With You. Liss did not disappoint. The story takes place in both Argentina and Chile and let me say I had so much fun learning the slang as Luca (MMC) explored Chile with Karina (FMC). Going the Distance With You was sweet, fun, sexy, and with a touch of suspense to keep you on your toes.
Right before their school break, Luca had convinced Karina to give them a chance. Before that their interactions were full of banter as Karina saw Luca as just a playboy because of his reputation. Luca was set to prove to her that he could be more than that, especially when he felt that connection to Karina, that she was quick to deny.
Luca’s determination to win over Karina and prove himself to her had me swooning. His refusal to let her go once she ghosted him only proved how much he felt for her and how much he knew her because he had the feeling that she was going through something stressful. When he jumped on the plane to fly to Chile to take his shot, I was rooting for him.
Karina is a strong Latina woman and I loved that about her. She was determined to handle her problems head on. But when Luca arrived in Chile for her and she still had qualms about his intentions, I won’t deny I was upset with her. I thought “You don’t deserve him.” She definitely made Luca work for it.
The touch of suspense added another layer to the story and another chance for Luca to show what he was made of. I loved how Karina and Luca came together to power through this ordeal. The back and forth of their dynamite relationship brought on some yummy steamy scenes.
I’m excited to see where Liss takes the series next. I have a feeling I know who the couple will be and those two are quite the mystery.
Luca has been living it up through college loving his life and his friends and very much enjoying the bachelor life until one night a girl stops him in his tracks. He’s convinced she’s the one. But the timing is off. She’s on her way back to Chile on holiday and he’s in Argentina. They start up a text flirtation while she’s gone until she ghosts him out of no where. Luca isn’t used to rejection so when she returns they begin to antagonize each other. But Luca isn’t ready to give up on her. So when she suddenly heads back to Chile he decides this time he’s going after her.
The boy obsessed trope owns me so naturally I fell hard and fast for Luca. He knew what he wanted and that was Karina. Karina was going through some difficult stuff so she gets a pass for putting Luca through it to get to her heart. Their chemistry was insane and I was rooting from them from start to finish.
This book actually parallels the first book so if you haven’t read that one yet you won’t be lost. One thing I enjoyed from the last book that we got more of was the rich culture, language and food from the region our main characters explored. Just like last time I left this book with a healthy dose of wanderlust. She does such a great job immersing us into south american culture. As her second novel I definitely felt like her writing matured with this book. One thing I loved about the last book was the found family vibes and she managed to still give us that through their group text threads even though the gang wasn’t all together this time. Definitely was the kind of group chat I’d want to be part of.
If you like fake dating, boy obsessed, reformed playboy, and found family vibes all set within the rich and detailed culture of South America then I think you’ll really enjoy this one!
“This is the beginning of our forever, dragonfly. Because going the distance with you has been the best adventure of my life. I can’t wait for what’s yet to come.”
This is Liss Montoya second book and once I started it I couldn’t put it down.
This book follows Luca is known around campus as hottest ladies man but when he meets Karina at a party, he knows he wants a real chance with her. So they start texting each other while she away at home helping with her family’s vineyard but things change when someone close her starts to blackmail her. Not knowing what to do, she decide to ghost Luca until she can figure out how to fix everything. What she was expecting was Luca to follow her to her family’s vineyard pretending to be her boyfriend. As they start spending more time together the more their little white lie turns into something real. But will the blackmail be too much for their new relationship or will they go the distance? They had chemistry and banter from the beginning along with some ups and down. But once everything was out in the open and they started a fake relationship, things between started to change, especially with how determined he was to be her forever. Once these two gave in, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. I really enjoyed all their moment together for their valentines date, to the wine tasting to them traveling around Chile. Overall, this book was so good and the characters were great, and I really enjoyed the ending. I can’t wait to read more from Liss.

I absolutely adored this story. I loved Karina and Luca so much and I thought they were written so well and realistically. I love that the characters in this book actually feel their age. Karina and Luca act like 22-year-olds and that adds so much extra charm to the story. I loved getting snippets of Marco and Dani from book one, but mostly I loved that Liss Montoya didn’t overdue the cameos. She let these leads really shine, which I appreciated tremendously.
The With You series has so much heart, love, and hope. I love the way the stories are told and the characters are such beautiful representations of young people in the world.
The setting is absolutely phenomenal, taking place primarily at Karina’s family’s vineyard in Chile. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to live inside of a book’s setting as strongly as I did with Going The Distance With You.
I am really loving how Liss Montyoa introduces different South American cultures through her books. I feel like I’m learning a ton about the different countries and I absolutely love learning the different bits of language from each one. It adds an awesome depth to the story and I genuinely can not wait to see where the third book takes us!
I thought the spice in book one was good, but Luca and Karina take it to an entirely new level. These two are absolutely amazing together and their passion burns bright…even in public. I’m obsessed. These scenes were phenomenal, and so well written.
I loved this book so much, I can not wait for the third!
Thanks to the author and The Author Agency for the eARC and chance to give my candid review. My paperback just arrived & it’s stunning!
Going the Distance By Liss Montoya
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (0-5) Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (0-5)
What I’m Starry-Eyed Over: 🤩 Latinx author and main characters. 🤩 Great personalities and strong, consistent characterization. 🤩 First person dual POV, and I can hear Karina and Luca’s voices so well. 🤩 The early dance at a college-town bar in Argentina). The later dance!!!! Every time they dance! 🤩 The playboy falls first and fast. 🤩 Fabulous descriptions and details that help captivate and immerse the reader. 🤩 All the feels—I laughed out loud, Oh No!ed out loud . . . 🤩 So much longing for them to be together! I found myself whispering to Luca, “Don’t give up. She needs you.” 🤩 The suspense plot is fantastic—it gives all the extra angry, uncertain, and nervous feels. 🤩 Text chats—I just love texting in my books, especially when they add humor and lusty good feels. 🤩 Great friend group! 🤩 When Luca decides to grovel/make a grand gesture—total book boyfriend material. And it includes fake dating and forced proximity—two of my favorite tropes! 🤩 The attraction, tension, and banter are so perfect with their personalities and so well written!! 🤩 The slow burn and tease are torture but so worth the wait. The steam is so spicy and intimate and playful and good. 🤩 The winery and vineyard property adventures—in Chile!
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 Maybe a little too close for comfort on the sneaky public displays of affection, but they are also so very memorable and panty melting.
“I told you, Karina. I really wanted a shot at forever with you. You’re the only girl that has ever made me feel this way.”
'Going the Distance with You' is a book that touches the heart. It's a book that makes you love the characters and despise the others; if you know, you know.
When you start reading the book, you immediately dive into the plot and the love story between Karina and Luca, and their chance at forever. At first, they begin chatting, and you can feel the chemistry between them. However, something happens, and unfortunately, Karina stops responding to Luca's texts.
But that doesn't mean our boy here is willing to accept rejection. He will do anything to have his chance at a forever with her. I wish I could tell you what he will do, but I can't spoil it for you. When you read it, you'll find out, and you'll probably say, 'If he doesn't do that, I don't want it!' Period.
I also really enjoyed the interactions between the boys, aka 'boludos,' and the girls, aka 'brujas.' It shows how much they care about each other, and they will do everything in their power to help one another.
It's a charming book that you need to read at least once. I would rate the book 4/5 ⭐️ and for the spice level 3/5 🌶️. I enjoyed the spice, but it was a bit at the end, which frustrated me a little bit. 😂
Why you need to #ONECLICK this book: 🔥New Adult 🔥Latin Characters 🔥Boy Obsessed 🔥Fake Relationship 🔥Forced Proximity 🔥Only One Bed 🔥No Third Act Breakup
If he doesn’t fly from home to a country he doesn’t know….If he doesn’t dm my older brother on instagram to ask for permission to come find me just cauz i’ve ghosted him; even though we’re not officially in a relationship, I DON’T WANT HIM!
A little slow burn-ish for me but the storyline and the character development was so epic. Luca (Argentinian) really put his all in making Karina (From Chile) his girl.
Right from the beginning Luca showed nothing but love for her. Although it may have seemed like he wasn’t serious at first solely because he’s known as the the pretty boy. The party guy. The guy that no one ever takes seriously. Until he meets Karina.
From protecting her from Max btw F*** him…to starting a business solely inspired by his visit to her families vineyard! Buying his own vibeyard with the help of Gio (bless him) to asking her to marry him.
Everything was just perfect…also i learnt so many foreign words reading this words and honestly nothing can beat a little extra inspiring love language🥰
If the tropes ☝🏼are your vibe i would highly suggest you read this🥰 Thank you @theauthor.agency for this arc😇
Liss really takes me on a serious adventure where I picture all these amazing locations in my head. The Latin elements of these books really excite me when I read them. The fake dating relationship trope, forced proximity, and one bed are all featured, those are some tropes I love to read. Liss defiantly does an amazing job with her words.
We met Karina and Luca in A Lifetime with You, but Going the Distance With You is their story and it was perfect. Karina's relationship with Luca definitely starts off good then gets a little bumpy, but all magical and romantic love stories seem to take us on a ride. Karina goes home to Chile for the holidays/break from school and things don't go how she expected for sure, but when Luca comes things get a lot more interesting. I appreciate Luca and all the compassion that he felt for Karina along with his understanding of not pushing her for more, the general support he showed her through everything really made me fall in love with Luca.
There are numerous things that I could say about this book but, I will say this was definitely a fun and loving read that took me on an adventure. Thank you Liss!
Well friends, I don’t know where to begin this review as I had a wonderful time traveling through Chile with Karina and Luca. To say this story was refreshing is an understatement ! Really, the vibes were absolutely immaculate and the vineyard setting was just *chef’s kiss*
Liss made an amazing job at describing every places and putting details where needed. I felt like I was right with them in South America and dude, that was insane. I just enjoyed everything about their activities there and I found them very entertaining. Especially as it is not something we see often in romance book ! Luca & Karina were very inspiring and ambitious and I adored following them through their dreams and goals.
Karina was such a strong and independent woman and I just clicked with her a lot. She was quite sunshiny but at the same time very focused on her goals and that’s what I ADORED about her. She was very ambition driven and I loved following her during her work time. She was quite an inspiring person. Luca was the pure definition of a boy obsessed but I liked discovering his personality. He was very genuine and a charming man. At the same time I could really feel his love for Karina and I really enjoyed that. He was transparent on how much he loved her and it felt good witnessing a man who wasn’t ashamed to show his true feelings !
To sum up, I had a marvelous time with them and their beautiful found family. I really enjoy every story in the Universe Liss created and I totally recommend it to you if you enjoy a quick read with latin vibes and Spanish references here and there ! It’s really a must read and the perfect book to make summer lasts a bit longer
PS : you must know this novel is quite spicy ! As you may know me, I am not really a smutty girl but I thought the spice was very well written and Liss created original scenes. If you love your romance books spicy, this one is obviously for you
Thank you Liss for this beautiful opportunity of being your ARC reader again ! I am wishing you the best on this one,
Ok wow what a great first book for myself to read by this author and second book in her series!!
Karina is full of spunk, driven, and determined to make sure her family winery is thriving. She is down to earth and has a sass about her that is endearing and funny. Meeting Luca is not on her plan but she can’t resist him. Even when something unfortunate happens.
“But when I make you mine, and I promise you Karina I’m going to make you mine. This thing between us has to be real, no faking, no pretending.”
Luca is very outgoing and knows what he wants and is determined to get it. Once seeing Karina, he knew that was it for him. Even with obstacles thrown his way, that doesn’t stop him from traveling to Chile.
“Under that pretty boy facade there’s a man that’s caring, loyal, determined and smart. You are enough, Luca,”
What a wonderful story. I throughly enjoyed this. It was sweet, funny, had a little drama, and sass! I’m not sure if Karina rolled her eyes enough lol.
“This is the beginning of our forever, dragonfly. Because going the distance with you has been the best adventure of my life. I can’t wait for what’s yet to come.”
Going The Distance With You by Liss Montoya
Luca & Karina
Liss did it again. Writing a beautiful story, that transports you to a world of different culture and country. Which I absolutely loved learning about!
I really enjoyed Marco and Dani's story so I knew I'd feel the same about Luca and Karina.
Luca is so easy going, full of life and oh so charming! Our pretty boy! Karina is full of sass and spunk. A spitfire for sure.
Forced proximity, fake dating & one bed! Yes please! And our boy won't give up until he gets the girl! I loved the easiness to these characters and how they flowed together. They were like the missing piece to each others puzzle. Luca was willing to do anything to protect his girl and I'm so here for it! Def a must read! 🩷
I love Karina and Luca. Karina is a strong female and she can take care of herself. She’s fierce and won’t let anyone try anything with her.
These two are so cute together. And they are funny when they are going at each other. But there’s a reason why she tries to push Luca away.
She keeps things to herself and when someone she trust breaks her trust she’s willing to face them on her own. Luckily Luca shows up and is there for her. He’s willing to do whatever he has to do to protect her.
I loved their chemistry and how Luca didn’t give up on Karina even when things get tough. I love how he believes her when she tells him what was done to her and how believes in her.
I love what Luca does to prove to Karina how he feels about her. He does the sweetest things. And I love he is with her parents and her family.
I love how we get to know a bit about Chilean culture. You should really pick this little gem up. It’s so worth the read.
Going the Distance With You is a wonderful follow-up to Liss Montoya’s debut novel, A Lifetime With You. Lush descriptions, good chemistry and banter between main characters, and solid emotional connections create a vivid storyline for Luca and Karina, two supporting characters from A Lifetime With You.
Montoya employs a bit of suspense to bind Karina and Luca together and move the plot forward in this steamy, fake-relationship story. Interactions with her minor characters, both family and friends who feel like family, provide additional depth to the main characters and their motivations, bringing out the main characters’ personalities beautifully.
As with A Lifetime With You, I really loved the Own Voices element of Going the Distance With You. The vivid details included set the scene beautifully and really pull the reader into the characters’ worlds. I am looking forward to book three in the series.
I had the opportunity to read Liss Montoya second book Going The Distance with you and it did not DISAPPOINT her first book which I had the opportunity as well gosh soo freaking good !!
Katrina and Luca are definitely a match for a couples LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM 🥹
The two started a texting relationship and kept it going and the text were flowing ,but then Karina returns home to Chile to help her family with their vineyard. While home, she is confronted by her supposed friend, Max, about pictures of her doing illegal things, that are faked. Some Katrina realizes that the blackmail is way to much and ends up leaving Lucas wondering why she’s doesn’t responding.. he starts to wonder if he’s blocked but then the text go through and waiting and waiting but nothing .. Lucas the man everyone dreams of waits for her because he wants their relationship to be true 🤍🥹
I absolutely loved the whole plot of this book and we cannot forget the spice , it was Intense 🥵I lived for it and it was the perfect amount !!
Going the Distance With You was an enjoyable read. This is a fake boyfriend, suspenseful, he falls first story. I liked the story line and the writing was good. Luca had his heart set on getting to know Karina and at first she is into giving him a chance. However, while away for Christmas something happens and this completely changes Karina into an almost angry person. Luckily for her Luca isn't ready to give up on the connection he feels towards her and follows her to Chile. This is where the fake boyfriend comes in and Karina let's him in on what happened over Christmas. I kind of felt like I needed more to some scenes of the story. Some things were explained in depth and then others were just quickly brought up. I enjoyed seeing Karina's walls come down as she began to trust and open up to Luca. Definitely a book worth reading.- Alisa
When Karina and Luca first meet, there is definitely an instant connection that has Luca acting like a love-sick puppy, but when something happens to Karina, she completely ghosts him, leaving him heartbroken. Even though her whole attitude towards him changes in an instant, he is desperate to make things work with her, so he goes to her family's house to woo her and to fix whatever happened.
Karina and Luca were so freaking cute!! He was so obsessed with her right from the beginning and was going to do anything to have her. He found his person and just had to make her believe it! The spice was definitely amped up in this, and I was here for it!! Thank you so much Liss Montoya for the ARC!! I can't wait for more!!
*I got this book in exchange for an honest review*
This book is about Luca and Karina. They are both going to school in Argentina. They meet and he gives her a line about finding about their forever. She then sees hi,magazine the next day and they exchange numbers.
She returns home to Chile and she Max her childhood friend. Max isn't what he seems.
Luka then see Karina again after she cuts her summer off short and then is confused by the way she is ghosting him. Later he flys to see her when she goes back to Chile all of a sudden.
Karina realizes the Luca does care for her and that he can help her solve the Max problem.
This is a Latine characters, only one bed, fake relationship with no third act breakup.
This is a fast read and something you will devour in 1 setting.
This was a cute story! I was anxious to see Luca and Karina story ever since reading Dani and Marco’s story. I liked this book even better than the first.
A few bits felt repetitive at the beginning - I felt like Luca explained that he had a travel channel on YouTube multiple times.
I LOVED that Luca added Juan Carlos to the group chat. I was happy to see him return in this book and claim his spot in the friend group.
I understand that Karina ghosted Luca because she was nervous about Max blackmailing her, but I wish she would’ve explained that she was being mean to Luca to try to keep him at arms length. It seems so random, such a quick 180.
Their love story was cute - I love a good, supportive, “I’ve got your back” man.
If there are two things that Liss Montoya excels at with her writing it would be 1. Writing swoony heroes that you absolutely fall for. 2. Immersing you into the culture of the country so much that it makes you feel like you are there. Between the setting, and the language, the foods, the traditions and everything in between you will feel like you are there in Chile.
Luca and Karina start off in Argentina and they hit it off right before their school break. They spend a few days texting back and forth. Then something happens to Karina that closes her off and she ghosts Luca. While some people might take this as Karina being a b!+ch, I kinda felt for her with all the emotions going through her. When they are both back in Argentina, Luca tries to figure out what happened to her which eventually leads him to follow her to Chile.
They end up fake dating, we get some hot one bed situations and Luca pulls out all the stops to win over Karina. I really thought it was sweet the way Luca held out for Karina to admit they were real and it wasn’t all real. Karina takes a bit to come around not because she doesn’t feel the same, but because she is scared. There are some outside elements that try to ruin them and I love a story that has them working together to get past it instead of breaking up to protect the other person. I am very much in love with these characters and their world.

ARC REVIEW
"Going the Distance With You" was straight from campus, the love story of Luca Bianchi, a playboy, and Karina Godoy, a gorgeous, determined girl, was a delight to read.
This steamy, hot story was simple with a few twists, but the palpable descriptions of the leads forced me to read this story in one sitting.
Luca's character was well portrayed; he was once a playboy but got immensely attracted to and obsessed with Karina, whereas Karina had a huge crush on him, but would she be able to give a chance to the one for whom the girls were his plaything
Would Luca prove his loyalty and go beyond everything to be with Karina and solve the problems lurking?
This book was such a cute read. It features Luca, who falls head over heels for Karina, so much that he would chase after her to Chile to help solve her getting blackmailed, even before he knew what he was getting into. I love how sweet the two of them were, the dates they set up for each other, and all of their flirting, but also the adorable things they say to one another. The vineyard setting made it all extra special and surreal.
If you love a book with a Latin America setting, fake dating, and great side characters, make sure to check this one out!
Thank you to Liss Montoya and The Author Agency for the ARC.
