A group of bird watchers, from the Audubon Bird Watching Society, arrived in Whispering Falls. They have one particular bird in mind, the Spangled Smoky Momoko, a rare bird. As the group disembarks, twin sister ghost whisperers, Constance Karima, and her sister Patience, who own Whispering Falls Funeral home, state they have a customer.
When Petunia pays a visit to June Heal, a homeopathic spiritualist, in her store, a bird pops out of her hair and flies to visit Madame Torres, June's crystal ball. When some members of the bird watching group show up at A Charming Cure, Paris Rush, is alerted when the bird takes flight from Madame Torres. Paris is sure, she's actually seen the Spangled Smoky Momoko!
After June's cat, Mr. Prince Charming, delivers a charm, it only means trouble. The charm meant either June or someone she loved needed protection. June is warned about finding out about the bird before the crow flies at midnight.
June, along with Petunia come up with a plan to try to keep the Spangled Smoky Momoko safe and lead the Audubon Bird Watching group out for camping overnight. Despite all precautions taken, one of the members turns up dead. Now, there's a killer to be found.
I love visiting June, and the town of Whispering Falls. The town natives all have special and unique gifts, that they keep hidden from the regular folk. Each, of the town natives, is special, but I'm a little partial to Constance and Patience. Their oddness makes them endearing. Wonderful read, and I loved the ending! I recommend this to all paranormal lovers!
