Jacey Lange always wanted a love that was life-altering. After nearly a year of chance encounters and whirlwind romances, she discovered she had it all along in her best friend, Leon. And just as she was about to spend her life with him... Leon made a confession. There was a reason nearly every man she fell for seemed so familiar—and a reason her best friend of ten years refused to open up about his past. Leon not only has the ability to shapeshift into any kind of man she wants, but the ability to alter the very fabric of her reality. This is definitely not the kind of life-altering love she had in mind. While struggling to decide if she can accept the inconceivable truth about the man she loves, Jacey finds herself face to face with the past he's been running from—and a future neither of them anticipated.
Roxanna Mason is a paranormal romance author and formally trained actor from Los Angeles, California. It was her deep love of storytelling that led her to study theatre and that same love of storytelling that drove her to write her first novel. When not writing, Roxanna is binge watching horror films, creating vegan recipes, and dancing around her living room to Fleetwood Mac.
This book was read in at least 3 hours because I genuinely could not and did not want to put this down. Where we left off in Shifted, Jacey had just found out what Leon could do and left him. Although I’m glad at the start of Shattered she made her way back to him, it all felt very fast paced and rushed in a sense.
In this book we get introduced to Leon’s crazy shifter family and I was a big fan of Dom and his character. The love triangle had my heart tensing when wondering who she was going to choose. I will admit I was a little disappointed when I realised that she wouldn’t be switching men (maybe its the SJM universe getting to me and being used to secondary lovers). However, the ending was very cute and I’m happy she is with who she is.
I would definitely recommend reading this if you want a bit of paranormal romance in your life. My warning when reading this, is that there aren’t as many “fight” scenes as I would have thought. I also felt as though there was many questions/futures that would have been nice to read about (Tai and Caroline), but who knows, there may be a next one in the series.

Loved how the second book was more 'dramatic' per se compared to the first book. The love triangle that was almost there, heartbreaking but so emotional. Read this under 3 hours because I couldn't put it down. My only question to the ending is, it could have left off to a cliff hanger to clue in a third book (if there is one) or add an additional epiloge to show them happily with their child or know what happened to Dom. I honestly want to know what happened to Dom because he was such a great character, and I personally don't like a series that goes to the next character or the next couple. Leon was an okay book boyfriend, but Dom may be my favorite love triangle interest (I prefer why choose over love triangles).

This was a solid read. It's almost a 5. So close to a 5. I really enjoyed this. I was not prepared for the major bomb that drops right at the beginning. And I did figure out the twist shortly before the reveal, but overall I enjoyed the time I spent reading this book and will recommend this series to others. Personally, I like that they aren't the typical shifter type and really liked that concept. I will be on the lookout for more books by this author in the future.
AND for anyone wondering yes there is some spice, but not too much, way more plot.
This book was amazing. The last 3rd of the book, I DEVOURED! Although I almost threw my phone ACROSS THE ROOM in the last chapter as I finished up the book but it was so amazing. Roxanna is such an amazing author and she will forever be an author I buy every book she publishes!
I was provided an ARC of this title for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
In the aftermath of the big reveal of Leon’s abilities, we know that all Jacey wants is to bury it under the rug and live as normal of a life as possible going forward. She couldn’t have begun to ponder the world of reasons for his keeping it from her for as long as he did— and she finds out a whole lot very quickly in Shattered, and has to come very quickly to terms with what it means for HER, for she and Leon’s relationship, and whatever future awaits them beyond the obstacles they now have to maneuver to reach it.
After some deliberation, I’ve bumped this from 4.5 to a SOLID 5 stars. This is one hundred percent an edge of your seat nail biter. Extremely fast paced and dang near unputdownable. I really enjoyed the continuation of Leon and Jacey’s love story while the author also gave us a lot more information about the history of shifters and their backstory too.
This is book two in the shifted series and picks up right where book one ended. I highly recommend reading book one to understand book two.
Jacey wakes up realizing she made a mistake and it’s time to face the facts of who her best friend is and what her life looks like, with or without Leon.
After accepting who Leon is, Jacey is quickly kidnapped and taken to Brazil, where she meets Leon’s family. What a way to meet them, a whole family of shifters.
I was not prepared for the bomb of information Jacey drops in the beginning.
This book I could not put down, from the moment she returns home until the epilogue, I was hooked waiting to see what would happen next.
I was given an ARC copy after reading book 1 and absolutely loving it.
Here we are at the end of book two and I can't praise this book enough. I loved every twist, turn, and moment. I thought this book was going to end on a major cliffhanger hanger but thank God for the epilogue.
This was a great twist on the normal shifter romance. I loved jacey and Leon's story and am really hoping we get more from them but I'm especially wanting to know what happens with Dom, Caroline & Taia after Dom helping Jacey & Leon with their escape.

OMG just OMG.. It was even better than the first book. So much going on. The book keeps you guessing what's going on and how its gonna end. Keeps you questioning everything. And when you do get some answers they still leave you confused.. Most of the book kept me at "WTF" or "NOOO" faze.. Loved the ending and loved the book.. One of those books you wish you haven't read yet so you could read it for the first time again So glad to be an ARC :)
Wow!!! I couldn’t wait to dive into book 2 & I must say I was not disappointed! What an adventure Roxanna took me on!!! It was a great story and it wasn’t “predictable” the twists and turns kept me reading to know more about Jacey’s journey! Some bad guys, good guys, bad guys turned good and a few neutral parties. It was a great weekend read! Great for a cool day, curled up under a blanket with a delicious cup of tea! I look forward to book 3 (if one comes out - so many possibilities for more in the series!)
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
OMG I love this series so far and hope that the story continues to unravel.
Roxanna takes you on a thrilling ride with twists and turns. Good, bad, fun and terrifying! The story begins with a major twist and doesn't stop. It's one of those books you don't want to stop reading. You need to know what happens next and then what happens after that! Thank you Roxanna for inviting me into the world of Jacey and Leon. I can't wait to see what happens next.
A paperback copy will be in my shopping cart as soon as it's available!
I received and ARC e-copy of this book and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
O…M…G…!!!! When I say this book throws you into IT!!! I… mean… it THROWS YOU INTO IT!
This is Book #2 in The Shifted Series!!!
**‼️Possible Spoiler ‼️ **
Shattered starts off with a Bang! Jacey, FMC, and Leon’s, MMC, relationship was left off rocky, to say the least, at the end of Shifted!
Jacey was stunned, shocked, and appalled at Leon’s big secret and all of the deceit and she did what any logical human woman would do… she ran!
She ran to Gabe, passed love interest and is now a friend.
She had a dream that she couldn’t explain of Leon drunk on the phone with his mother begging her to “take it away”. She woke up confused and scared for Leon and jumped up and started packing. Gabe woke up confused as well. It was 4am. She tried her best to explain. She just knew she had to go back home to Leon.
Upon returning home she realized that her “dream” wasn’t actually a dream… it really happened. Scared, and not knowing what it meant, she decided not to tell Leon about it.
Upon reuniting, Jacey and Leon are in the throes of their emotions and need to be with each other and feel each other. They have a long night!
Next thing you know, Jacey wakes up and Leon isn’t there. But she finds a note that he had to go to work and would be back as soon as possible and to look in the drawer where the ring that he said was still hers was!
No sooner than she got the ring on did someone walk in the front door.
It was 2 men that she did not know who were speaking Portuguese! She attempted to call Leon. The last thing Leon heard was Jacey screaming.
They had come for him… but kidnapped her instead.
Most of the book is about the hell that Jacey is put through while being held captive in Brazil. It turns out that it’s Leon’s family who has kidnapped her in an attempt to get Leon to return and take his rightful place amongst their family!
This is his father’s side of his family. The “shifters”. Apparently the first male child born of the first male child was blessed with additional gifts. They, not only could shift… but they could stay shifted for however long they pleased… whereas all other shifters could only shift temporarily at a time.
We find out fairly quickly that Jacey… is pregnant. At first it seems like she tells her captors this as to not be harmed… but she admits that she actually is pregnant and the was the main reason she was returning to Leon. Because he is her soulmate and to raise their child together. A child that Leon… never wanted to have. He didn’t want to pass the shifter gene on.
Along the way, in this story, Jacey and Dom (Domingos, Leon’s younger cousin) end up becoming friends. Ally’s even. Jacey references to Dom looking exactly like Leon had looked at his age. Dom ends up “loving” Jacey and tries to protect her every step of the way. I ended up loving Dom and, part of me, kind of wished they could be together if Leon didn’t show up to rescue her!
I can’t say much more without giving everything away… just know that, while Shifted was slow and detailed, Shattered is fast and intense and mouthwateringly amazing!!! I haven’t had a dark romance, paranormal or not, make me cry… and this one… in the last 20% of the book… had me yelling, cussing, crying, and laughing (maniacally, maybe)!!!! I am now starving for Book #3!!!!
Thank you Roxanna! I love this book! I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical copies!!!! And book #3!!!!!
Side note…. I LOVE EJ! That is all.
5 stars!!! Hands Down!!!

I received an arc from the author with the option of leaving a review upon completion. I appreciate the opportunity and the time and love spent creating this world and the characters.
The ending of the last book sent me barreling into this book to find out what in the hell was going on with Jacey and Leon. I finished it in record time and stayed up way to late to do so. I just had to know what was going to happen next and how the entire set of issues were going to be resolved.
I will say the spice was higher than the 1st book & I very much appreciate the fact that this book it was open door, even if it was short and not specifically graphic. It was glossed over so if that's something that matters to you, I'd keep it in mind. The front part of this book focuses heavily on the paranormal aspect and less on the romance portion of the story. If you want angst, this book will definitely provide you with all of that and more.
I'm not sure if it was because we had just swung into so many whirlwind romances where Jacey can't decide who she likes but the second love triangle made me feel like Jacey was fickle and didn't have any real feelings for Leon. Because how could you have these deep undying feelings for your best friend and then end up in this situation? How it's explained away in the book also didn't give me enough reason to be okay with it.
Both Leon and Jacey continue to betray each other and I guess I don't really feel like they ever got to a point where they can trust each other again. The chapter before the epilogue made me irrationally angry because after all that?! 😩 Then I don't even understand how we made it from that chapter to the epilogue.
I'm going to say that while I really enjoyed Leon and Jacey in book 1, I didn't enjoy them as much in this book.
Side note:Poor Gabe deserved so much more than to be dragged into Jacey's mess over and over. He was the only character I felt genuinely bad for. He got the raw end every time and continued to show up for her only to get fucked over again. I hope he found someone.

This is the second book in The Shifted Series, which is paranormal shifter romance about a woman, Jacey, who is reeling from Leon’s revelation at the end of Shifted. However, things get much much worse when she’s kidnapped by Leon’s crazy shifter family. Please note this book is darker than book one and covers topics that some might find upsetting so please check content warnings.
This series was described to me as a “contemporary paranormal romance” and, as I expected, this book did have more of a paranormal aspect to it than book one. However, it’s still not the major plot point (the romance is) and thus it read more as a contemporary romance than paranormal romance.
I still liked the plot concept and found this book to have more action, intrigue and suspense than book one. Jacey steps up her game in this book and it was *great*. I loved her fire and her cunning - she seemed much more mature and confident than in book one. Leon, however, Leon was confusing. Hot and cold. Worried, then not, which was perplexing given what we learned about their relationship.
Rating: 4/5 Stars 1.5/5 Flames
Recommendation: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first book, likely because there was more action and paranormal aspects. We get a bit of a HEA, but there are some unanswered questions, which I hope will be answered in book three (due out in 2024). I liked the story enough to continue on with the series in order to see what happens to the characters. I would recommend this book if you also like contemporary romances, in addition to paranormal romance, or I think you might get frustrated.
Alrighty let's do this. So I ARC read this and TO BE CLEAR reality shifting makes me uncomfortable but I had to know what happened after that bitch of cliffhanger from book 1.
The plot was much more plotty. It felt like Hunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton but more mild, different genre, and slightly to the left. What i'm trying to say is they kinda had the same vibes. The MC Jacey was much more tough (because she had to be in the situation) and showed cunning I like in a character. Although her one downfall would be feeling bad for leaving Leon at the end of book 1. It was a perfectly normal reaction and I don't think she had anything to feel bad about. If Leon wants to shame anyone, he should shame himself for PROPOSING BEFORE TELLING HER HE WASN'T HUMAN!
Now onto the real plot. No not the kidnapping and her trying to escape. I'm talking the romance. The boys.
SHE FUMBLED THE BEST ONE!! NONE OF THIS WOULD OF HAPPENED IF SHE HAD STUCK WITH GABE!!!!! HE WOULDA TREATED HER RIGHT!!
on my momma he was the best choice period
Dom and Leon are the same boy different font if you understand what I mean. Both manipulative, both hot, both in love.
Dom makes empty promises of protection and then sits by while she's mistreated, and Leon manipulated her for an ENTIRE year and then got sad when she was RIGHTFULLY upset about it.
If this was the bachelorette, I would have given the rose to Gabe and that's all I have to say on the subject.
Oh and justice for Taia and Caroline. Two gays who got shafted the hardest in this weird mafioso like family
But overall I really did like the book. The pacing was good and it kept my attention really well. It was a great read.

Three Words. Oh My Gods. *Possible Spoilers Ahead. Read with caution* Shattered. Just wow. This book has all my emotions flying all over the place. To be quite honest, I've never flown through a book as fast as I have with this one. The first book took me a few chapters to get me into it, but this one, had me sucked in and threw me right into the story *and the fun stuff*. Chapter 4, literally made me scream. A good one, but scream none the less. Now, I know Leon is our guy, But Roxanna had started making me fall for someone completely off track. Like what?! Dom. He's a bad guy, he kidnapped Jacey... but... the way she wrote him... *chefs kiss* had me wanting him. This second installment of this series has me fully emersed and seeing the words as if it were a movie. There was a twist, in the chapters leading up to chapter 33 that had me freak out, but Chapter 33. It had me cupping my hand on my mouth as soon as Dom started explaining the "binding of shifters". I was SHOCKED, to say the least. With Leon now back with Jacey, I was happy, that was until the end of chapter 39. That made me wanna slap him just as much as Im sure Jacey wanted to. When Leon explained why, I guess I had some sort of relief. The shock I had from the last chapter, left me not only shaking my head at Jacey... but crying my eyes out because of how it ended. I cannot believe the ending. I was legit scrolling in the story, saying "This isn't how it ends. This can't be the ending." Roxanna Mason, You did it again. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series.

First, I want to say thank you to Roxanna Mason for allowing me to read this ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed every second of this book! I rated it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I felt like the ending was a bit abrupt. I would have liked more loose ends tied up. Hopefully this means that there will be more books in the series!
This is an ARC review and is given voluntarily and without bias :)
The end of the first book had me shook. I had never read either and got the first book to give a better review of this one. I'm glad that I went back and started from the beginning so that I could know exactly what was going on, and I'm so glad I didn't have to wait for the second book on that monumental ending!
There was a lot more spice and angst in this book than the first, but mostly glossed over if that is something that bothers you, maybe keep that in mind, but the story and the drama that accompanied it made it hard for me to put the book down. I was so invested in Jacey and Leon and how they would repair their relationship, but I also felt a little meh due to the fact that the first book set up this incredible romance with this person that she cares so much about, but then turns into a love triangle of sorts with Gabe constantly getting trampled over again and again.
There were so many OMG and WTF moments throughout the whole thing and it really had me on edge and devouring this thing in record time. It isn't something that I normally would read, but I'm so glad that I was able to ARC read it as it really opened my mind up not only to the author, but to the genre as well! <3
Thank you to Roxanna Mason for an eARC in exchange for a candid review.
Roxanna Mason, broke my heart, mended it, broke it again, and healed it again. I’m still on the edge of my seat wondering what’s next for Jacey and Leon. Shattered for me blew Shifted out of the water - I ate this up in 2 days.
I was so engaged and invested that I couldn’t put it down! While I typically loathe the accidental pregnancy trope, this was done so well. In fact, I believe Jacey really showed us how strong, badass, resilient, and brave she is. The character development was amazing. I fell for Leon even more, he’s protective, would go to the ends of the world for Jacey and beyond, and the you touch her you die vibes? Immaculate. The spice also kicked it up a notch!
Dom, this enemies to friends, forbidden flirtationship wrecked me so hard. He’s morally grey but as the booktok girlies know - that’s our favourite colour! Estela, there’s just something about her I love so so much.
The twists and turns really kept me turning the pages and I love this world! We got so much more depth in the plot and it flowed so well!
For a minute, I thought we were getting another cliff hanger and another book with Jacey Lange but thank goodness it’s over. You would think that she would have learned her lesson from the first book but nope, there she goes throwing her feelings all over the place. We didn’t see much of Leon until the end, I was wondering where the heck he was at the whole time and then we find out. I was waiting for Jacey to find out that she had secretly been a shifter the whole time but no, just a normal human. I really just love Leon, I am so glad he didn’t let Jacey get away with to any of her nonsense and laid into her once he returned. I figured out a few things along the way, I knew what was going to happen with Jacey in book one, not the plot but her condition. I also figured out who taia was in love with as soon as she told Jacey her situation and I’m sure they will be together in a non traditional relationship. I’m glad Leon and Jacey’s story is over, it would have served Jacey right if Leon had made the other choice. I really just disliked her character through both of these books but at least in this one she wasn’t as stupid and seemed to realize her mistakes from the first book.
Hi so I signed up to be an ARC for this book. I promised to be honest so here it is. I did not love the first book. I think Leon our MMC was really manipulative. I wish these books had been more along the dark romance side because I love the idea behind them but because it is so...light I guess you could say. The darker tones are hard to forgive. I do not love that our FMC ran off at the end of the first book to be with an ex. Do not get me wrong I totally support her need to get away and sort through her feelings. I just do not love that she took advantage of someone else to get what she needed. This one starts there with her having run away to be living with her ex who loves her and is on paper a great guy and possibly her happily ever after. Everyone makes mistakes though so whatever. I did not like how quickly the issue was resolved between our characters. All that said overall I did enjoy this one more than the first. We get more on Leon and his family and everything. There is a love triangle or two I suppose that happens. It will be interesting to see what happens in book three.
I received this book as a digital ARC. I was super excited to have a chance to read and review this book before its release.
Book one left me salivating for the next part of Jacey's story. I liked all of the characters we were introduced to in Brazil, but hands down, my favorite was Dom. I wish we could've seen more from him. (Maybe a 3rd book?)
Miguel made me so angry as I'm sure he was designed to do... but wow. He's either crazy arrogant or really dumb. Jacey was able to trick him at every turn. 😂
The only character that made my heart break was Gabe. Man, that guy continued to get the short end of the stick. I couldn't grasp why he kept showing up for Jacey. He is a sweet soul. I hope he finds his perfect match.
There were a few plot points that made me scratch my head, and I'd have to reread a paragraph or two to get the gist. Overall, this is a solid read. Book 2 was built beautifully from book 1. I'm glad I read them. I look forward to the next book by Roxanna Mason.

I received an ARC copy of this book, and I'm glad I was able to read the first one before trying to read this one. I would have been completely lost if not.
This was just as good as the first. There are lots of twists and turns. I didn't expect the last part of the book. I enjoy it when I can't really predict what's going to happen next in a book.
We did get to learn more about Leon's past and why he is the way he is, but I also still feel like there was more that could have been said. While there wasn't much spice, there was lots of action. I really started to like Dom and do want to know more about him and Caroline.
Now, I did not expect Dom to go find Leon, but I'm really glad he did. It does show that at least part of his family isn't a complete ass. Miguel made me want to reach through my phone and smack the hell out of him. His attitude towards his nephew and only caring about the future and what they may be able to do just irked me. I'm glad they were able to get out of there and find a cozy happy life.

Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of the ARC team!
Whether it was because my mood reader brain was in tune with this book or because the pace was just better, it was definitely easier for me to read this book over the 1st. It was spicier, the right amount compared to the plot, faster paced, had some darker themes that I'm a fan of, but all without being a truly dark and erotic novel. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns, though I've gotten really good at predicting them in pretty much every book I read. The only downfall, the epilogue. Now I follow Roxanna Mason on social media and know there is another book, but if I didn't know, I'd have thought this was it and would not have liked the ending. I feel the epilogue should have been removed and the content be part of the next book and also more fleshed out. The epilogue felt a little rushed. I'm definitely the type of reader who enjoys a cliff hanger mid series.
All in all, this was a fantastic read and I cannot wait for book 3!
This author just gets how love is defined. I feel she understands that love should make you feel; safe, stable and how to make compromises. The story of Leon and Jace continues with danger, heartbreak and new friendships. The ability Jace has to be brave and defiant in adversity is amazing. Every time some new situation came up, Jace did her best to stay calm yet ready to fight. The author has this great storytelling that the reader becomes completely engulfed in the crazy shifter world. As each situation arises, I was able to look into myself and think about how I would deal with these situations. I cannot imagine what it would be like to have to live in this deplorable world of shifters. Women are treated as objects, the men are supposed to do whatever ‘the leader’ decides and the members are given no choice in who they bind with. Jace’s life is in constant danger and she learns to be wise about her choices. And the end? Oh wow! I was very surprised at the end of the book. Now to wait for the third book in this series.
This book definitely tops the previous one, which I loved, with all of the drama and action! I think I went through a whole spectrum of feelings while reading this: shock, happiness, anger, frustration, sadness...the lot.
Jacey was awesome again, I loved how she had so much more spirit in this book. Dom ❤️ Poor Dom...He is amazing and I hope we get to see a book about him in the future.
Leon, leon, leon.....why did it take you so long to show up! I was getting really disappointed in him at some point but I think his reappearance (heh literally) was pretty well timed. I kind of had the suspicion that he could be Dom earlier in the book but I was starting to doubt myself there. I love when books make me question my predictions.
All of the characters were so well written and I love that we got a lot of scenes with each of them.
I couldn't believe that ending though..you had me so hooked into the book at the end, and I was so happy how it ended too.

This book picks up after the book Shifted so if you are confused what is going on start that one. It will begin to answer questions. Jacey has learned that the man she loves has very special abilities. Just as she is beginning to processes and accept them his past comes and disrupts it all.
This book is all from Jaceys POV. While she is trapped in the compound of her lovers family she has to figure out who will help and who will sabotage her efforts to return to Leon. She also is trying to figure out if Leon is actually there and no one knows.
This book felt more like a thriller/mystery than romance. Jacey fights feelings for Leon’s cousin but they are second to how she feels for Leon. She spends most of the book trying to find a way out.
This is such a fantastic take on supernatural. Each character is vibrant and even the villains grab your attention and keep it. There are some slower moments but for the most part the book keeps you turning the page to find out if Jacey will ever be safely reunited with Leon and if they will be able to escape his family.
With the way book 1 ended, I came into it prepared for the slowest of slow burns. Even though it wasn't what I expected, I guess you could say I was not completely wrong.
Throughout the whole story, the author keeps you on your toes wondering just how Jacey is going to get out of the predicament she finds herself in, and just where the hell is Leon. The moment I started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, Leon makes a decision that, although it makes total sense, left me absolutely shattered.
Since the author mentioned she will not include the epilogue in the actual book, I decided to skip it in order to have the full cliffhanger experience, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
Quote: “I need you to understand something. If I were… normal, if I couldn’t pass on this thing or put this kid in danger, I would have a million fucking babies with you, Jacey Lange.”
I was given this ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.
OMG. My heart is still racing and I need to calm down. I almost lost my mind at the end and now I can finally breathe!
Waiting for this book I was dying to read has finally quenched my thirst for more. I loved it so much and it was an emotional ride for me. I didn’t know what to expect but Roxanna delivered right from the beginning. Spinning off to a direction I didn’t see coming.
I loved that we got to learn more about Leon and his family and the laws of shifters. I loved the characters in this story and how one man who holds the power can manipulate everyone around to do his will. The strength of Jacey was awesome and it added so much depth in her character.
I loved this book and even more than the first book. They both are beautifully written and the love stories tugged my heart. Definitely a must read. Thank you!
Just wow - I loved the atypical shifter plot concept. Jacey is put in a very difficult situation finally choosing Leon and then she kidnapped (and pregnant). While kidnapped by Leon’s family she learns so much about his upbringing and traditions. They are only keeping her alive in hopes of convincing Leon to come back and in hopes that she produces a boy. During her time there she must continually think on her feet and just hopes Leon will be there to save her. Leon’s cousin Dom becomes smitten with Jacey and this throws in a bit of confusion for Jacey. The plot is amazing - the ending is a bit rushed and I would have loved a bit of a cliffhanger and a third book (I need to know about Dom). Not a lot of spice (there is one scene) but the plot is engaging.
I received this as an Arc in return for my review- the opinions are my own.

This is definitely an action packed follow-up to Shifted. I was engaged with the story from the very beginning and felt every single high and low. I felt like we got so many truth bombs throughout the story that some times I was reeling.
Dom ended up being a surprise character that you really wanted to root for and as much as I love Leon there were times I kind of wanted Jacey to give him a real shot. (But it makes so much more sense later to why Dom was so amazing)
Jacey is tough as they come. What would break most characters, she faced with bravery even though she was constantly terrified and in danger.
I wish we would have gotten some reasoning behind what took Leon so long to get to her. All-in-all this series a unique and edgy experience. I recommend. You do have to read the Shifted first, this is not a stand alone.
