The Billionaire Babe

Rate this book
I am a billionaire heiress, with a father who is arranging my marriage. Yet I am falling for somebody else who is my total opposite.

As I try to cement my foothold in the family business, my friends take me out to forget my worries, and I meet the man who is the definition of grumpy. In fact hemanhandles and throws me out of the club.

AJ Steele is as hard as he is strong. An angry wall of muscle who uses his fists to make his money, but the way he throws me in his arms and walks me around like I weigh nothing, has my stomach doing flip flops and my heart pounding.

He is the exact opposite of me in every way. Turns out he is also my savior.

I like a challenge and with my single life almost ripped out from under me, AJ knows exactly how to handle me and is just what I need. But my father isn’t the loving man I thought he was, and AJ isn’t one to stand back from a fight.

So when my world implodes and the truth comes out I learn exactly what a real man will do for his woman. And what I will do for him in return. Unless the devil catches us first…then we are both in trouble.

This is a new story in the "Baltimore Boys" series. It is a stand alone read about Valerie and AJ. She wants to be the head of the family business but her father stands in her way. One night out she meets AJ, her opposite in so many ways. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. This is a touching story that is hot and steamy with one evil man.

When we met Valerie briefly in the previous book, I was definitely hoping she’d have her own story, so I was so excited when synopsis of the Billionaire Babe came out!

Valerie is kickass, a tenacious lawyer and a humble CEO in the making. She might have grown up in wealth, but she doesn’t take things for granted, has a big heart and will go out of her way to help others. She hasn’t had the perfect childhood and faced pressure and unsavory folk, but with her girl gang by her side, she proves to be a force to be reckoned with.

AJ comes from the other side of the tracks. He has not grown up in wealth so has had to work hard to build his security team, Fortress, and has the help of his two best buds. He does what he can to support his team and future endeavors and takes his job seriously. He also helps others in similar situations, is resourceful, often times self-sacrificing, and protective.

Swoon! The moment these two meet, you know sparks will fly. Valerie and AJ go toe to toe with each other, their “meet cute” leading to banter that makes you emails and interactions that make you cheer. They bounce off each other’s vibes so well and don’t overstep or make the other uncomfortable. They want to support each other and let the other shine. AJ is mesmerized by how fierce Valerie can be but will be there when she needs, while Valerie doesn’t let anything about AJ phase her and feels safe and secure with him. They are definitely like peanut butter and jelly, salt to pepper. They just get each other even when they don’t always agree.

Moreover, we meet many new faces (gotta give shout outs to those side characters that have our couple’s back!) and see some familiar faces pop in. We also hear of other characters we’ve met and become excited for this universe to expand. Moreover, the pacing and plot of the story keep us to the pages, wanting to know what happens, and the writing flowed well.

This was definitely a good way to end the Baltimore Billionaire series, and I want to give it all the hugs I can!.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Valerie and AJ, two total opposites! The author does a great job developing their story and takes you into their lives with chemistry along with all the ups and downs. She kept me reading with the intrigue and suspense, moves the story fluidly with her descriptive scenes and delivers a terrific read.

WWOWW🥵🥵

This book does not disappoint, it is equally as good as the other series by this author! It was a very calm book compared to the other series, but it still had its suspense! I really enjoyed the fact that it was a females perspective. As I read this book I felt like I was living in the book , it felt real, it had me on the seat of my chair wanting more , and very well written! Transitions from chapter to chapter were flawless, and I didn’t feel like I miss anything! One thing I also really respect is the little disclaimer about what’s in the book! It’s straight forward and honest , but you have NO idea when anything is going to happen! This is most definitely a stand alone series if you wish to go through that, but knowing the characters and a bit of a background it also enhances the whole story! I would highly recommend to anyone that into young adult! It will leave you breathless!.

Valerie and AJ🥰

Loved Valerie and AJ from the first chapter🙌 Valerie attends a nightclub with her girls, only to accidentally spill her alcoholic beverage on AJ. His reaction is priceless and so begins his downfall for the rich girl😍

AJ came from the wrong side of the tracks, but over the years he has spent time boxing for income and with the help of two friends, has started a security company called Fortress. While his attraction to Valerie is unexpected, he finds she is more genuine than he first thought and she is an unexpected breath of fresh air🤗

Valerie is working at the company her mother and grandmother set up. After their passing her father takes over. She has worked her way from the ground up and knows she will be taking over as CEO one day. Unfortunately, a danger closer that she ever expected is trying to ensure this doesn’t happen😢

Absolutely loved this couple and the ending was fantastic🤩

This is the sixth book from “The Baltimore Boys” series. Our main heroine in this book is Valerie – an heiress who desperately wants to be the CEO of her family's company. But the thing is that not everything goes according to plan and her father steps up for the role. The problem is that he will not run the company the way it should be, because he has his own agenda. This includes marrying Val off, so he can become even more powerful within the corporate world.

Well, he is in for a surprise, because Valerie wants to make her own decisions regarding her life and she will fight for it. One evening when she’s out with friends, she meets AJ – a gorgeous and sexy man. Their attraction is instant, but AJ comes from the wrong side of the tracks, and he thinks that he is not good enough for her. But Valerie is a fighter, and she is determined to show him that they can be together. Her status of a rich girl can’t stop their growing feelings, and she won’t put it in front of her happiness.

But before they can freely love each other, there are some obstacles in front of them. The most serious one was Valerie’s father – it’s been a while since I met a very evil person and this guy gets the number one status for that. Honestly, I hated him. He couldn’t leave his daughter alone, blackmailed her and AJ and tried very hard to marry her off to an older man than him. Seriously man, can you just scram from her life? She doesn’t need you – a very poor excuse of a father.

What I loved about those two is how deeply in love they were and how hard they fought for their happiness, even if at one point them being together looked nearly impossible.

Their love scenes were very hot and steamy. The spice was superb, and they couldn’t keep their hands off from each other 🌶️🌶️🌶️.

Overall, I liked reading “Billionaire babe”.

This is book six in The Baltimore Boy’s series and it is Valerie and AJ’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Valerie is a lawyer and works at The Van Cleef Corporation for years and because she is a only child and this is her legacy she was expecting the business to be passed down to her and to become the CEO but her father had other ideas and told her that a marriage had been arranged and she needed to produce a heir and would be a stay at home mom and would not be taking over the CEO position which Valerie always had seen as her legacy from her mother who died along with her grandmother but unfortunately all her father could see is money and position but Valerie had decided that she will not follow her fathers orders and would not go down without a fight just so her father could grow the Van Cleef empire especially as he doesn’t care about how Valerie feels and also how he is treating the company and employees. AJ hasn’t had a great start in life and comes from the other side of the track and he is also a boxer and puts in 100% to keep his fitness and on his game and he has also started Fortress which is a security company with his best friends Brady and Cody and they hope that AJ’s next fight is his last because if he wins he will be able to have enough money to retire from boxing and be able to concentrate on there security business. Tonight AJ, Brady and Cody have a job to do at Club Vine which is a new nightclub in Baltimore and owned by one of his friends and that is where he meets Valerie because she bumps into him with a tray of drinks that are for her and her best friend’s and AJ is so annoyed that he throws Valerie out not knowing who she is and because he is attracted to her which he could do without at the moment but unfortunately he can’t seem to get her out of his mind no matter how hard he tries. Eventually AJ and Valerie start to spend time together and there attraction, connection and chemistry just get so strong that they are unable to deny themselves but Valerie’s father steps in and thinks that she will abide by his rules and do as she is told and what he says goes but what he doesn’t know is that Valerie is a lot smarter than he knew because she has some tricks of her own and also something up her sleeve and if everything goes as planned because he underestimated her the win will be all hers but first she will have to play him at his own game so that she can come out on top and win her company back and run it like her mother and grandmother did which is so important to her. Wow Wow Wow this story certainly have you turning the pages while on the edge of your seat while reading this addictive story. AJ and Valerie together was a force to be reckoned with and they complimented each other in every single way and she was so strong, sassy, a bada## and knew what she wanted and wouldn’t be persuaded to let something go if she thought that it was right thing to do and I loved how her friends were always there for her and buy her side when she needed them and then you have AJ who cared and protected her with his life and when it mattered his friends joined in to protect them all. They say that family doesn’t need to be blood and this book proves how right that statement is because this group of friends were so loyal that anyone would want them in there corner. There are twists and turns that you definitely didn’t see coming along with danger, betrayal from the one person that should have always been there to protect you, greed, honour, great friends, secrets, drama, brilliant characters, hot chemistry, loss, hope, love and emotional situations that will have you in tears. Samantha Skye is a amazing author and writer and she definitely knows how to keep her readers attention throughout while they are reading her books and I can’t wait to read more books by her in the future.

The Billionaire Babe is a standalone contemporary romance by Samantha Skye. It is the sixth book in the Baltimore Boys series. Although characters from other books do pop up (in this book less so than others), I have absolutely adored this series and so would encourage anyone picking up this series for the first time to go back and checkout what happens to the Rothschild's family, whose stories kicked off this series.

If you're into a strong hero who is rough around the edges with a heart of gold, as well as a strong woman who knows what she wants and is powerful in her own right, then this is a book you could like. What is also great about this book is because rather than the male hero being the billionaire, it is the female character who is the billionaire and she wants to break out from the mould that her father is forcing on her.

Valerie Van Cleef comes from a line of women who are smart cookies. It was her grandmother who started the family dynasty. She's also pretty smart and she is also a lawyer. However, her father is holding her back in so many ways - withholding the company that is rightfully hers is only the start.

AJ Steele is very much a self made man. He's had some troubles in his life, but now he and his friends are building a successful security firm. It is bouncing at a night club that brings Valerie and AJ together. And after that first meeting they are thrown together again and again. It certainly helps that the chemistry between them is strong.

AJ is a wonderful character. He is not at all daunted by Valerie's family or their money. I also love that as the romance grows between them, they really do become friends who support and encourage each other. AJ wants to build his company and Valerie has plans to take her place in the company grown by her mother and grandmother.

As always, I'm just gotta wait around for the next book!.

Roll over Mrs Rothschild, there’s a new villainous parent in town with John Van Cleef, father of The Billionaire Babe heroine Valerie who has nefarious plans of marrying his only child off to a man even older than he is and just saying he isn’t going to win any father of the year contests! Luckily, she has her own personal security in the shape of AJ Steele, a club bouncer who is trying to build up a security company with his friends. Valerie had met AJ in slightly less than auspicious circumstances when he’d decided Valerie was drunk and booted her from a nightclub but then fate played its hand, and they kept running into each other.

This might just be my favourite book in the Baltimore Boys series. I’ve always loved an opposites’ attracting romance and when you throw in that in this case it’s the heroine who has the money and power then I was hooked. The characters were engaging and likeable with plenty of chemistry between them even though, to begin with AJ did seem to have a chip on his shoulder about rich women in general but once he got to know Valerie and her friends and saw how down to earth they were, he relaxed although he still didn’t think he was good enough for her and I loved how sweet and supportive he was to Valerie especially when the truth about her father began to come out. I might’ve liked Valerie to show some of the same spirit she showed with AJ when it came to her dealings with her father. I felt she was a bit weak with him but confident otherwise. Their overall story was well written with just enough suspense to keep me engaged and The Billionaire Babe can easily be read as a standalone if you haven’t read any of the previous books in the series.

Valerie is the billionaire heiress to the Van Cleef Corp, and on a night out with friends, in a less then desirable part of town, she literally meets AJ by spilling a tray of drinks on him. AJ doesn't know who she is, nor seemingly care, so he throws her out, despite her protests.

AJ is the complete opposite of Valerie. He is the rough to her soft, and has a spent a life fighting for everything he has (literally and figuratively), keeping those who want to get too close, at arms length, and trying to make his way in the world. This includes two close friends, buddies from childhood, with whom he has a security firm with, and is trying to build up. To finance this, AJ uses his fists in underground fights, which sees him train hard, even denying some basic desires, and also seeing the potential in young boys, like Levi, who he sees alot of himself in.

When Valerie meets AJ, and Valerie herself doesn't back down from his broody growls, and scowl permanently on his face, AJ softens and then finds himself struggling to keep his desires at bay. These two a powerfully delicious and are hot as anything together, and when that time comes to unleash that side AJ has poorly tried to reign in, wow wow WOW.

Of course, there are forces that try to intervene, thanks to Valerie's less than charming, father, and current CEO of her company. But the relationship between AJ and Valerie does also have some cheerleaders that ensure that they both get everything they deserve and more. I loved this so much, and highly recommend. I have read the other books in this series and loved them, and having a female as the "Billionaire" lead this time made it all the more enjoyable.

Valerie believes that she will become the CEO of the company that her Grandmother and mother ran. With the death of her mother, her father is now running the company. Controlling does not begin to describe her father. He tells her that he has arranged her marriage for the betterment of the business criticizes her weight, then tells her she will not be running the business that has based down to the females in the family.

Make no mistake, Valerie is a lawyer and very capable of running the business but has always bowed down to her father. This was the part that did not fit for me however we see her grow in the end and without giving too much away, I was her cheerleader and proud of her development.

Now, bumping into AJ in a bar and spilling her drink on him was their not so 'meet cute' moment but that did not stop the chemistry between them. AJ doesn't back down to anything and he also goes through his own growth in this book. This is a case of our heroine being very rich and the hero barely getting by but you find yourself cheering for them and watching how they get over the hurdles thrown their way.

Book 6 of The Baltimore Boys is a must read and a great way to end the series!!!.

ARC Review of The Billionaire Babe by Samantha Skye
* * * * *
A thrilling addition to the series I thought was finished but happy to see more coming along! With a twist, our next billionaire is a total babe and she's got trouble heading her way.

Valerie had goals and ambitions and a future ahead of her...sadly her father has planned such things to be a pretty silent trophy wife and baby machine.
She's suck under his thumb.
Her mother's company constantly threatened to be taken away from her if she does not bend to his will.
Plus, to sprinkle a little more terrible afflictions onto her situation, it appears her stalker has returned.
One night out, she is taken by surprise when a hot bouncer manhandles her in front of the press, thus stiring up some devine drama.
They may want to be butting heads, but they clearly also want to be butting something else.
As Valerie's future is in the balance, will she fight back?

Loved it! Evil father. Awesome besties. Hot boxer dude who will do anything for her...and to her...
Absolutely love this series, cannot say it enough.
Then there is the twist with the stalker, and it came at the right time too! Also, more twists with her inheritance and her mother's company just add sugar to this fabulous cake!
Hope there is more!

I loved this story, Val made a gritty key character with a strong moral compass. When she came across AJ it was mutual attraction. Rich girl meets boy from the wrong side of the tracks. Fortunately she had more of her mother and grandmother in her than her rotten father and worked hard at taking back her mother’s company.
AJ tried to do the right thing, he and his friends were desperately working to get their security business off the ground, but when it came to Val he would do anything for her.
What a despicable person her father was, his true colours being revealed as the story went on. What sort of father would try to marry his daughter off to someone older than he was!
I enjoyed the girls night out playing snooker that and also Val’s dog Bordeaux added a bit of light heartedness to what was an intense story.
Well worth reading, I was gripped from start to finish.

This Time “She” is a Billionaire!!

The Baltimore Boys continue in this splendid series. Valerie Van Clef plans to follow in her mother’s and grandmother’s footsteps as the family company has passed along maternal lines. She has a law degree and has worked her way up through the company.

When her father tells her she must put that aside to marry a man older than himself, she is appalled. AJ is boxing, but only to finance his security company Fortress. He has an unfortunate first meeting with Valerie, then is hired to protect her. Not the vapid, silver-spooned princess he expects, sparks fly.

Pool sharks, world domination, clever dialogue, doing what is right, and taking what is rightfully yours all combine into an exciting and romantic story.

This was such an amazing ending to this incredible series. I have loved Valerie throughout the series and was hoping we would get to see her have her happily ever after. I loved the dynamic of AJ and Valerie and how AJ was so proud of how far he had come and was determined to make his security company a success. Val was such a hard worker as well, wanting to work her way to taking over her family's company while trying to protect herself from her father's plans. AJ was so protective when it came to Val and he was not going to let anyone come between Val and her plans to succeed. I loved every second of this book and am so sad it is over. I cannot wait to see what Samantha has in store for us with the next series!!!

"I promise that wherever you are is where I will be,”

Love AJ and Val!

I always look forward to when a new book releases in this series. Samantha Skye has been one of my fave discoveries of 2023.

This book is a reverse billionaire romance. AJ is a fighter and security agency owner with a dodgy past. Val is a billionaire heiress arranged to be married to someone of her father's choosing.

I read this overnight. I was a little bit worried how Val's book will turn out because she has been making appearances in the other books in this series and although she was always kind, I had a little bit of doubt... but turns out she really is one of the best.

It's swoon-worthy, s3x¥, @ngst¥ and inspiring!

This is the sixth book of The Baltimore Boys Series but can be read as a standalone. This book will grab your attention right at the beginning, and you'll find it hard to put down. I read it in one sitting. No shortage of drama, danger or angst. This story has it all from drugs, blackmail, assault and plenty of steam. A page-turning story that might cause you to lose a little sleep. Well written with strong thought-provoking storyline. I read a free arc via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Not so much a Baltimore boy, but a Van Cleef girl. Val has always wanted to be CEO of the company her grandmother, and mother, ran before her. Sadly, her mother died and her father has taken over the running of the company and not how it should be. He wants Val to marry to strengthen his position in the corporate world but this is not what she wants.
On a night out with her friends, she meets A J and there's an instant attraction however he doesn't think he's good enough for her. Can she convince him otherwise?
Will Val get the company and the man?
Another good story with a good storyline.

I do not think that I have read a book from Samantha that I did not like, and this was no assumption. The Billionaire Babe is a very compelling story, at good speed and with enough elements of surprise. The heartbreak, knowing the things family can do to you... but also the softness, and the heartwarming moments between friends. There is not much else needed in this book.

I love how Samantha makes guys hard on the outside, but big softies on the inside. And strong females that can take on the world.

A page-turning story, like her other books and I am here for it!.

I am giving this 10 stars!⭐️ This is like a reverse Cinderella story. However I am not sure who actually saved who. I believe they saved each other. Valerie and AJ are like a slow burning fire of attraction together that eventually just ignites into a raging fire 🥵

Samantha’s writing is just simply amazing. I loved this book so much I will probably want to read it again sometime. I don’t say that often! There are a lot of moments that will have you on the edge of your seat . This is a must read!.

In this book, we are seeing the rich female Valerie Van Cleef and the rough man A.J. Steele don’t exactly hit it off, in fact they clashed the first time they met.

This storyline is of a forced marriage, that has brought Val to step out on the wild side, while A.J. Is trying to push her back to her gilded side. When push comes to shove they are both going against each other and sparks fly!

As Val works to take over her family’s business and rebuff the forced suitor, A.J. comes to the rescue. But, is his rough side too much for her or is it exactly what she needs.

I enjoyed this story, it runs in the line of her other stories but the roles are reversed.

Wrong side of the town meets silver spoon. AJ and Valerie should never have met but they did and everything in their lives changed. Being rich doesn’t make you good and being poor doesn’t make you bad. AJ was determined to make a better life for himself and for his friends any way he could. Valerie wanted more from life than being a trophy wife and had worked her whole life to take over her family corporation. Both had also been treated horribly by a parent, one of many things that bonded them. Lots of heat and feels. A very satisfying read!.

I probably say this every time but this is my absolute favorite Samantha Skye book yet!!
First of all, these two were burning up the pages. Like sizzling smoke hot, I could not get enough of these two. They are absolutely perfect for each other.
I felt every emotion these two experienced, was a huge cheerleader for them both. I love both group of friends, the mix of the Rothchilds carrying over, and every little side character.
So much I could say, but I don’t want to give anything away. Guaranteed suspense, romance, alpha to the extreme, super erotic moments and a HEA.

This story stars Val and AJ. Val was mentioned in the last two books but I was disappointed when I saw this last book was about her for some reason. I agree with some other reviewers who also felt they didn’t get this story for this series. I like Val, she was easy to root for her and AJ as well. Both came from opposite ends of the road. I alway enjoy this author’s suspense but this was my least fav of the series. It was a decent read it just felt out of place, or maybe I was looking forward to another story similar to the rest.

Overall : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice : 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️
Main tropes :
-She’s the billionaire/he’s from the slums.
-opposites attract
-family blackmail

Ahhhhh I had such a good time with this. After having 5 books with basically the same premise where they’re billionaires ending up saving the FMC that struggles with money and such, this was refreshing.

Opinions and spoilers ****

The dynamic between Valerie and AJ worked so well.

I love what they did with Levi
I love the twist and turn it took even if some parts were predictable, the trust and butler being on the board was a surprise.
Wasn’t a big fan of the way AJ ran off but it resolved pretty quickly and in an epic way.

Started with a bang and ended the same way! What a refreshing heroine! Val is the billionaire, she’s the one with the power, we hardly ever see that and I’ve always wished and wondered why it couldn’t be so! The hero is still an alpha but realizes pretty quickly that he has a boss babe on his hands and Samantha Skye very gracefully shifts the power dynamics to showcase that strength comes in many forms. It's a narrative twist that empowers both characters and challenges traditional roles in storytelling.

This was a good book, although I don't think it really went that well in The Baltimore Boys Series. Val is someone we are familiar with as she was in the last two Baltimore Boys books. It is refreshing that she is kind and down to earth considering her background. It was fun watching her and AJ figure out that they actually had a lot in common and could make it work even though they were from different backgrounds. Of course, there was also the suspense and intrigue that you have come to expect from Samantha.

Don't even know where to start!
Val, who seemed like a daddy's girl and transforms into a strong female, fighting for what and who she wants!

AJ, who seemed like a cold and grumpy guy (and actually was), and becomes so soft and protective to Val.

And their journey is so amazing! She is the billionaire and does not, even once, try to use her money to spoil him (such a nice change)!

Really, really loved this book. Couldn't stop reading it! One of the best I've read recently.

You know, reading the other Billionaire books, I didn't want to like this girl.
At all.
But towards the end of Eddie's book, something told me to reserve judgement.
So I did.
I'm so glad because she turned into one of my favorite characters.
I love her tenacity for her company. I loved how she refused to settle.
Until she met AJ.
And that was explosive.
And amazing.
And then all the twists - WOW!
Can't wait to see what all else comes in this series because it's turned into one of my favorites in a long time.
