Kōsuke Fujishima (藤島康介, born July 7, 1964) is a Japanese manga artist.
Born in Chiba, Japan, he first came to public attention as an editor of Puff magazine, his first job after completing high school. Fujishima originally intended to be a draftsman, but took the editorial role after failing to get a drafting apprenticeship. He later became assistant to manga artist Tatsuya Egawa in the production of the Making Be Free! manga, and in 1986 began his first original manga series You're Under Arrest. His second manga series Oh My Goddess!, also translated as Ah! My Goddess, is extremely popular and has made Fujishima a household name in Japan. In addition, he is also well known as the character designer for several games in the Tales RPG video game series and Sakura Wars.
He is known for his love of automobiles and motorcycles, and several of his series and their characters reflect this, such as in éX-Driver and Oh My Goddess!.
While not as action packed or dramatic as the previous issue, this installment still has its merit. Thanks to catching a bug, Belldandy isn't able to sing anymore. The arc shoes even a Godddess can be jealous. From there, a new storyline begins where Urd's mom is at the center of it all. It's entertaining as this series always makes sure to work to achieve.
This volume gets back to plot oriented things. Mainly, they try to fix Welsper's spot issue due to his purified devil companion. Belldandy also loses her voice briefly, but that's mostly a fluff piece again.
Little Voice, Great Sorrow: Belldandy has trouble with her voice and Urd kisses her with Keiichi watching. Urd extracts a bug from Belldandy. There's also a problem with no one new wanting to join the Motor Club.
Those Who Guard and Those Who Plunder: There's a karaoke contest to try to help the club get members.
What Can I Do For You: Belldandy finally gets to sing, but Mara plans to use her singing for evil purposes.
The Polka-dotted Cat and the Magic Broom: Hild offers to help cure Vesper of his spots, but wants to race Belldandy on brooms.
Fastest Broom, Greatest Race!: If Belldandy loses, all the goddesses will have to return to Heaven.
Courage and Trial: The race continues, will Belldandy behind Hild.
One of the best volumes, I really loved this one. A karaoke contest, an attempt to return Velspar all black instead of polka dotted, and an epic broom race between Hild and Belldandy really makes this collection fun.
