Childhood bullies who bedevil the vulnerable-- including Fatslug, Moore's poster boy for the low self-esteem-- sometimes grow up to be dictators. An unflinching look at the ways humans can turn themselves inhuman, and what it does to the rest of us. Poetry that sings with our tears and our laughter and knits up the breaks in our bones.

Miles Moore writes poetry that makes you more human, you read his work and laugh because you see yourself, and find comfort knowing you aren’t alone in dealing with life’s everyday indignities. His poems are thoughtful, reflective, and full of emotion from humorous observations to reflections on loss, wonder, and quiet joy, written with wry humor and wit.
