He is known for his love of automobiles and motorcycles, and several of his series and their characters reflect this, such as in éX-Driver and Oh My Goddess!.
There is a very interesting story here. After wrapping up things with the gate, a new storyline unfolds involving a beach side retreat. There is an underlying element of pushing Belldandy and Keiichi's relationship to mature. The truth is it doesn't need pushing as they have become stronger just being together.
Wrapping up the Gate arc, the next story is another beach trip for the gang. However, they run into some unexpected creatures and it causes a little bit of chaos.
See You Again: Peorth gets shot from the cannon into heaven. The gate is invited to visit Keiichi's whenever she wants.
Paradise on Earth: The goddesses and Keiichi are at the beach. Belldandy and Urd are in bikinis. It's a repair shop outing. Keiichi can't really swim and while sinking he sees something in the water.
First Encounter: Keiichi tries swimming again. He hears someone singing, but Belldandy says it wasn't her. Keiichi gets to the retreat hotel and passes out after hearing the singing again.
Sounds that Reach, Voices that Don't: Keiichi runs to everyone thinking they are Belldandy telling them he loves them. Urd mentions the Lorelei. He hears the voice in the night and goes out and the Lorelei is drawing him to her. The three goddesses show up.
Full-Clout Confrontation: The Lorelei threatens all-out war with the goddesses. She calls up others of her kind, but one of them says she is mistaken.
Festival: A tear/pearl of some kind has been lost and their festival is threatened, but Belldandy says she will sing with them. They all make beautiful music together.
Another one that is simply 'ok' in story line and characters. Basically a mermaid creature (a lorelei) seduces Keichi. Belldandy gets kinda mad but not really. Keichi barely has any lines and can't swim or confess his love to Belldandy. This one is basically a cliched manga story that could fit any magical characters you could think of. 3 stars for nice art and finishing the Gate story.
