No spoiler review as of course this is book eight in the Apocalypse series!
This far in, we've lost people, gained people, fell in love with some characters, absolutely hate others! We've had the terror of zombies! Some lone, some in terrifying groups. We've come up against perhaps one of the scariest things in the apocalypse - other humans! But the types that thrive in the worse way possible in this broken environment. We really see that in this book aswell.
We continue to follow multiple groups, each chapter ending in a way that glues you to the book. Considering its already fairly short anyway, you find yourself devouring it.
Tension is high, emotions are high! I love the writing style, there is some real beauty written into this horror. A couple of sentences I really loved! I'd quote them but I want you to read them when you get there and feel the same way I did.
The epilogue was spooky and awesome!!! How can you end it like that and make me wait until June?!
I have real hope for how something in this series may play out!! Crossing all my fingers and thinking murderous thoughts

WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?
I NEED MORE PARTS NOW.
I will never forgive the authors for this emotional turmoil that I have experienced whilst reading this.
The thrill was definitely thrilling.
Why would you kill the best people. I can't believe it.
I need Cassie and Fletcher to find each other!
Ross needs to go next, he's a menace.

Why Hunter? He was the best. I'm so glad that Alby is gone, I really didn't like him.
Who is the piggy man and is he connected to any of the characters?

Love this series so much but I'm always so scared to read them in case a beloved character is killed! Always ending on a cliffhanger makes me want more and the few Friends references I absolutely loved. A bit of humour makes this books (and the others) a delight to read despite the graphic content. Keep em coming!

Well that was a bit of a bloodbath! Definitely the most gory instalment so far I think! Also a lot of different emotions running through this one, which at this point you feel with the characters!
At this point I am feeling a lot of fear for those at the farm. Humans always seem to be more of a threat than the walking dead in these sorts of stories!
A very shocking epilogue at the end too which has left me quite nervous!
I won’t spoil anything but I was quite surprised at who we lost in this one and hope we don’t loose too many more in the last couple of books!

Absolutely gripping entry, the pace rarely slows down as things get more intense!
Still revelling in his triumph, Ross plans to expand his empire and looks towards The Farm, and even finds a kindred spirit in Danielle. Though she wraps him around her finger, she may be unaware of the depths of his bloodlust...
The Fortress group are scattered as Alby enacts his revenge, leading to a frantic horizontal ladder bridge clamber which really embodies the high stakes for all involved...
Sam slowly warms up to Joe's persistence as they continue their search for Quinn, however even he's shocked at the lengths she would go to save him...
Fab read as always, can't wait for the next one!!

I have anxiously and patiently been waiting for Slaughter for more zombie action. I was not disappointed in the least as Slaughter has plenty of action with lots of zombies roaming the earth and trying their best to take a bite out of humans.
The zombies are doing a fine job of that in Slaughter. A horde or pack is hot on their tail and trying their best to overtake their home. A fire has broken out and threatened the lives and homes of the humans. Can they save their home from the zombies and the fire or will they have to move on?
Many zombies are taken out but so are some of the humans. Yeah, the lives of best friends/family are lost taking a toll on everyone. Meanwhile, someone is watching everyone’s move wanting to take their home for their own. Will they succeed with the deed? Can’t wait for the next book Immunity to see what will happen.
I love zombies and highly recommend Slaughter to all zombie fans! Grab a copy of Slaughter today for lots of zombie action!

First of all how awesome is the cover? 💀
This is book eight of the Apocalypse series and so far we don't know what has caused the outbreak of biters or whether it is a widespread phenomenon but what we do know so far is...
Not everybody has good intentions.
Not everybody is going to survive.
There's definitely one character that everybody hates and can't wait to see the back of... *cough* Ross *cough*
Not every chapter has to be action packed to make an impact.
Whilst this installment caused a mix of emotions it also had some hidden references (if I'm correct) which added a fun element.
e.g one part reminded me of Shaun of the Dead but instantly went from a funny approach to instantly shit getting serious for the characters.
The epilogue is also a massive tease for what's ahead in the next book which I am instantly going onto next!

This series keeps getting better and better. It's been a while since I last picked up one of these books, but I fell right back into the drama and mayhem. I won't spoil it, but the action and stakes keep getting higher. And the EPILOGUE. Oh my goodness...the piggy man. This is something that is already giving me nightmares. Onto book nine I go!

Another book added to the series! I'm so excited for you all to read this story and have your nerves on edge - this book is full of action, but also soft moments and found family love. Not everyone is getting out alive, so strap your seat belts on - welcome back to the apocalypse!

This book is FULL of suspense, I felt like I was sitting on the edge of my seat for most of the book. I was constantly wanting to find out what happened next and not wanting to wait. Saying that, the next book doesn't come out until June?! That feels like so long, thankfully it's just next month.

i almost wanna stop reading the series so that everyone and everything is ok😂 alas, i can't put them down so I'll fly through them instead... also, these authors have no mercy. zilch. nada. you really wanna have hope but the odds are stacking up and it's not looking great🥲
