Is there life after death? After a tragic accident, doctors pronounced Richard Sigmund legally dead. Eight hours later, God miraculously brought him back to life on the way to the morgue. During those hours, God allowed him to experience the glorious beauty, heavenly sounds, sweet aromas, and boundless joys of heaven that await every believer. God then returned him back to earth with a mission to tell the world what he saw. You will thrill to Sigmund's eyewitness account of strolling down heaven's streets of gold, seeing angels playing with children, talking with Jesus, meeting with people from the Bible and departed family and friends, seeing the mansions, and much more!Through Sigmund's testimony, God has restored sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf and has even raised several people from the dead. Also, you will catch a glimpse of the horrifying reality of "the other place"--a place where no one wants to go.
All I can say is that I am in awe. I have a MUCH deeper understanding of, longing for and surrender to God after reading Sigmund Richard’s testimony. I picked it up with fear and a burning curiosity and came out with an incredible realization that God’s love for me is beyond what I will ever comprehend. Hard-backed by Scripture throughout. One of the best investments of your time that you can make.
I listened to the audiobook version of this while on a long drive and thoroughly enjoyed it. Many aspects of Mr. Sigmund's Heaven experience brought me to tears--I could feel the love and beauty of God's greatness and majesty! One thing that especially spoke to me was his description of the many, many paths to Heaven -- unique and individual paths for each person going there; a reminder to be who God created us to be instead of who we want others to see (this subject goes deeper but not getting into that here!) ;-) Mr. Sigmund included numerous scripture references throughout the book and even had a long recital of scriptures at the end -- this gave his story more meaning and validation. Many people criticize and doubt those who share such Heaven experiences, and I do think it wise to listen/read them with caution and prayer for discernment and guidance from the Holy Spirit, but I do believe many of them to be true. I don't purposely seek books like this, they just seem to find me. For instance, this book or author I'd not known of until hearing it mentioned in an online message by the late and great John Paul Jackson. So glad I made a note of it!
The details in this book about heaven are pretty intense. To the point that it's hard to believe.
Additionally, I was a little turned off by the feeling of the overall agenda kind of pushing the concept that there are (more or less) statuses in heaven. I just don't believe that and find it ironic that a pastor is pushing this notion when suggesting that those who give their lives to the Lord see greater treasures in the afterlife.
None of us deserve/earn the amazing things in heaven. Not even a pastor. Not even Mother Teresa.
That said, there is still a lot of hope and interesting pieces to this book.
This is an AMAZING book and I was really touched. I love autobiographies because you read the book from the perspective of the person who really experienced that. You get every detail of the person's experience and in a book like this, it really does touch your heart. I personally really loved the book. I can't wait to share it with my friends. I will definitely read more of his books.
