How in the world did this happen? I'm being forced into an engagement with a complete stranger, and I only have two weeks to prepare?! And to make matters worse, this is all taking place in the Faerie realm, where apparently I'm some sort of Princess. Is that even a part of Earth? Who knows! Given my luck, it's probably not.
My guys, along with some unexpected new friends, join me as we venture into the chilling and archaic Faire Dark Court to meet my father's family. Let's just say it's a frosty, old-fashioned, and downright insane experience.
It's just two weeks, right? How bad could it possibly be?

Layla Landon is a laid back Aussie, who loves her dog and values family above all else. Layla has been an avid reader since high school, thinking nothing of reading 300 books in a year. In memory of her father, Layla finally put aside her fears and published her first book in 2022. When she isn’t writing, she is playing with her dogs, watching anime or reading.
The Courting Contract is the third book in the Kat Sanders paranormal series. Kat is brought to the Faerie Realm to search for a fiancé in order to fulfill the Courting Contract the she apparently has to fulfill. Kat’s friends, including the guys vying for her favor, accompany her to this realm to protect her on this journey. Full of challenges and games that will help narrow down Kat’s potential suitors, this book is full of adventure and the potential for budding romance.
I have enjoyed this series from the beginning and was excited to see where this book was going to take Kat and her gang. I liked the change of scenery in this book and found it a refreshing change from the typical school setting. I found the beginning of this book to be a little slow, but about halfway through it really caught my interest and I didn’t want to put the book down. This was a good next installation to this series and I look forward to seeing where this next book will take this series. Overall, this is a good paranormal book with potential to be a really good series. If you haven’t read the rest of this series, definitely start from the beginning because you will be lost otherwise!
The claim of being a reverse harem is a very BIG stretch. There is no true sexual tension amongst the characters and just because a woman has multiple potential mates does not make it a reverse harem. It makes it a young adult who has multiple suiters.
The story is interesting and it is keeping my attention so I will continue. I do think this book was a tad bit better than the last two books so I give it a 3.5 raised to 4 because I am going to continue the series.
I will suggest changing this book into a YA genre because truthfully that's about where it fits. The writing is immature and so are the characters. But again it is enjoyable to read if a bit tedious at times due to the immature dialogue. It did have me rolling my eyes quite a lot.
There is an mention of a past attempted rape in this book, so if that triggers you please be aware.
It was a good third book. I’m kinda mad that Shane couldnt count as a candidate even if he is from the dawn court but we will see how it turns out with Kingston. These books are YA friendly. I’m glad Kat got a few of the guys so that’s good. Can’t wait for the next book!
This review includes The first three books of this long series. Book one was pretty hard to get into as it is confusing and almost juvenile. But, I thought that the final book was published so I tried it again. ( I was wrong much more to come ). I went into it this time anticipating its elementary level and found it more enjoyable. Books two and three improved in some ways. The g rated interactions between Kat and her many mates continues. The frenetic action and dialogue also define these volumes. It gets really confusing trying to figure out who's talking to whom with so many similar characters. Book three takes us to the Fae realm where Kat is revealed to be a Night Court princess who must find an appropriate fae mate. All in all though if you approach with a relaxed attitude you'll enjoy the series. There are however consistent grammatical errors throughout; mostly in punctuation relating to possessive and plurals. Numerous run on sentences would benefit from editing, or at least a few semicolons.
Great read. The connections grow stronger and stronger with each book, with really makes you route for the FMC and her guys. Just when you thought her life was finally about to settle down, Kat Sanders is hit with even more bombshells, which had me holding my breath. Can't wait for Book 4.
