Star Mavericks #1

Claimed by the Alien Ravager

I couldn't care less about this human female, though her fierceness intrigues me.I should end her life with a mere flick of my hand. A simple twist of her delicate neck to render her lifeless... if not for the primal beast surging beneath my flesh with an unwavering passion to safeguard her at any cost.Once she is safe, my beast wants to claim her.Make her his.Make her ours!I have no interest in shackling myself to a mate. Females are only good for fleeting pleasure. I will make use of the flesh she bartered with for a flight home and be done with her.Once I sample the delectable little human, one taste will never be enough for me or my beast.

Starfire Tames The Beast

This was a really good book with a hot, arrogant alien that I didn’t think I would like initially, and an abducted human female who was being kept as a pet. With the trauma she had gone through I really admired her strength. Cora was fierce and determined and her shape shifting alien rescuer didn’t know what hit him. I enjoyed watching this morally grey hero become a cinnamon roll as he fell in love. Lots of action, sexy moments and engaging characters. I loved the world building and hope to read more of these Star Mavericks.

Wow what a brilliant book this was and yes there are some triggers that might upset some but to see how Cora pushes past what happen to her to have a future she thought she would never have again. Cora Gale Vogel is a human female that was kidnapped from Earth and sold as a slave to the evil warden Hyt who runs a prison planet that make the prisoner fight against each other to the death but its his sick kink that he in flicks on his human pet Cora but she refuses to give into him so hee just drugs her a takes his pleasure with his toys on her body but he will never own her mind and how the is a break out and he races off to see what is going on and leaves her cage unlocked and so now is her chance to escape and when she runs into to Navik the pirate who only cares about himself and what he gets paid but she has weapon and forces him to take her with him and even though he is injured he still laughs at her. Navik is a Kaul male who is now a Star Maverick / pirate and has a brotherhood that has a code but when he is injured by the Nomadian male Ruze while they are escaping he now wakes with a human female standing over him with a weapon in her hand demanding he take her off this planet but he laughs at her but when he goes to push her away his inner beast his Sivot comes out to protect her and at first she is shocked by the Sasquatch beast that now stands before her where once was Navik and the beast is so gentle with her and wont leave without her and so Navik takes her with him. At first I didn’t like Navik and his demands of payment from her body to take her back home to Earth but she had to offer because she has nothing else to pay with and it was hard to read but the more story unfolds and the more Navik lets down his guard you see him falling in love with Cora just as his beast has but he is not sure if she wants him. There is so much more to this book that will have you hoping that it all works out andd they get there HEA.

What a ride... phew, I'm exhausted... in a good way.

Ms Strom never fails to deliver brilliantly forged stories, each one as mesmerising as the last. Her alien worlds are beautifully portrayed, so detailed you can smell the blossoms and hear breeze rustling through the colourful foliage. Same goes for the descriptions of the mind-boggling technology, interwoven neatly throughout the book, leaving me as the reader breathless at the author's ingenuity.

In Claimed by the Alien Ravager, Cora and Navik have to navigate more than the stars to find their HEA. Two headstrong, daring, spirited, and courageous people meet in the most unexpected of circumstances, each with their own agenda. An agenda which undergoes a not-so subtle shift, the more time they spend together.

This book grips you from the first page and flings you through the stars until the last page. I am a huge fan of all Ms Strom's alien worlds stories, but this one is extra special. Star Mavericks rule!

Highly recommend for all those who love fast paced stories featuring alien worlds, feisty characters, drama, lurking danger, and spicy romance - this is for you. Easy 5 stars!

4 solid stars for Claimed by the Alien Ravager 🌟💖

I have enjoyed many books written by Iona Strom so I had high hopes for this new series. We begin with Navik, who is a space pirate and overall jerk. We met him briefly in once of the Warriors of Valos stories. After reading the first chapter I wasn't sure how she was going to redeem him. Navik, came off as such a jerk that I wasn't sure I could end up liking him. Cora is the Wardens pet on a prison planet he's cruel and horrible abusing her at every turn. She is at the end of her rope and she doesn't know if she
L be able to go much longer. Then opportunity strikes and these two lost angry souls find one another. Its a very rocky start but the more time they spend together the more they realize there is so much hiding inside and they want to know each other more. Danger lurks behind every corner but as they navigate their adventure passion ignites and love blossoms! Its a good read on a cold winters night. Totally recommend! And I'm looking forward to reading more in the series.💖🌟💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥🌟💖🔥💖🌟🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥💖🌟

A beautiful romance for Cora and Navik

This is book one of the series for the talented marauders called Star Mavericks. They are a brotherhood and yes they are space pirates who have a lot of fun with their side of danger. The Star Mavericks are a talented bunch. During a mission Navik was completing, several of the prisoners executed an escape plan. Navik tried to intervene but was overcome. Cora, the lead female, had been imprisoned on this planet for a while. She was the play toy of the warden. This warden was brutal so mind the author’s trigger warnings. Human females were not treated well in general the only thing keeping Cora from the hardcore abuse was the warden keeping her in a cage for his use only. The storyline was well executed as well as the romance in such harsh situations. The only callout that I have was there was no epilogue to close up the happy ending for now for Cora and Navik. At the 92 percent mark, the author promotes the next book and other books. Read On!

First book in a new series. I love that the series has connections to the series by the author. I’ve read almost all and I like how there is a connection but you don’t have to have read the others. This series brings us the mavericks. They are like space pirates that work solo. But they are also a brotherhood that has each other’s backs. Navik is our blue skinned pirate who loves his life and the adventure and danger it brings. But one human female is about to change things we she does what is needed to escape a hell she has been living. She and so many other women from earth were abducted and sold into slavery. Cora may have gone through hell but she isn’t about to stop until she makes it back home. The story of filled with action and danger. The heat level gets pretty high as some unexpected things happen.

When it comes to Sci-Fi Romance, Ms. Strom is hands down my favorite author. No need to read the blurb, I one click that baby for some instant gratification. And Claimed by the Alien Ravager delivered in spades.

In the beginning, Cora and Navik are like fire and ice. They just don't mix. Until the beast within rears his ugly head and claims her for his own...

As always, Ms. Strom has created a new world that is so brilliant and vivid, that at times, I felt like I was right there with them. Flying through space and outwitting their enemy just to find a little slice of heaven.

If you love a steamy Sci-Fi romance with a dash of reverse harem, then you'll love Claimed by the Alien Ravager. I know I did!

Amazing as always

I love the worlds that Iona Storm created here. To be fair, this story has a lot of callbacks to the Warriors of Valose and Primal Moon Barbarian series, so it helps a lot with world building if you read them first. Otherwise, the character development was well done, story was plot driven, a fair amount of spice, and characters that you want to see more of. Thankfully, book 2 is coming out soon with a character from this book as one as one from the Primal Moon Barbarian series. I really enjoy Iona Storms writing, as she was my first alien romance I read with her Nomadican mates book. Check her out, and if you like your aliens big, blue, and beastly, read this book.

Not bad. But not good. There were some things I found irritating about the writing, for instance how in the beginning Cora would be all “do I have Stockholm? Why am I attracted to this alien who is so much stronger?” Then in the next scene she’d tell Navik, “you’re my prisoner, I had the shock stick.”🙄🙄🙄
Or how they’ll both be all, I don’t want you, then in a blink they’re having sex and it was like whoa where did this come from.

It took me awhile to warm up to Cora, and at the end I tolerate Cora. Neither character especially appeals. Navik was your typical alpha male type and not especially likeable either. And the epilogue was disappointing.

Claimed by the Alien Ravager

This story has a rough beginning. She's being horribly victimized and he's a complete asshole. But their characters move forward pretty quickly. He probably would have been hopeless if not for his sivot - an alternate form he can morph into.

“If it wasn't for my sivot, I would dump her on the ground and leave her on the moon's surface to freeze.”

So we get to read an alien romance and a monster romance and the monster ends up being the more grounded, caring version of the MMC. His non-monster form has a believable betrayal and trauma that explains his behavior and by the end he integrates his two forms well.

Not for me unfortunately

I love all Ionas books and have been waiting for this one but I had to bow out after the first set of chapters. The lady has been raped and used for years then gets free, hours layer she has to sell her body to the pirate (the hero of the book) to get back to earth... not for me. The guy basically forces himself on her to, holding her down while she is hitting and shoting, with a 'your body betrays' you theme; which sometimes makes me uncomfortable but I can move past, however, not in this case. Not for Me!

Meh. I normally like when they're a little bit of an asshole, but he was totally douchey. Yes, continue to remind me how women are just for pleasure & nothing more at the top of every single chapter. We got it the first three times you said it. She was in a really heartbreaking situation & he couldn't've cared less. Also - she didnt DO anything to make him change his mind; he just "did it" because of the shiva thingy, whatever that was. Stupid. & she had no reason to fall gor him; in fact, she should've been way more scarred/hesitant to be with Mr Douche Canoe after her experiences IMO.

Claimed by the Alien Ravager

Cora had been held captive for years until the cage was left open by mistake and she fled into the arms of Nakiv. Nakiv did not want to have anything to do with Cora and said he would take her back to earth and then found himself in love with her and wanting her for life. Will she change her mind or will something happen to them? Recommend this book

Claimed by the Alien Ravager is a great start to the Star Maverick series. I loved the cast, I loved the plot, I loved the world that Strom creates for us. I had such a great time reading this book. Cora is a female you can't help but respect and watching Navik Fall in love was the sweetest thing. Plenty of laughs, smiles and smexy moments to envy.
I look forward to getting to know the rest of the Mavericks. Thank you Strom for a great read.

A Wild Ride

This was a non-stop adventure through space. I loved every second of it! Cora and Navik have explosive chemistry and I was totally here for it.

Great plot, pacing, world/space building & an interesting new race of aliens in this new spin off series. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

No idea what I was thinking when I started this. The MMC has no redeemable qualities and I was just not prepared for the SA the FMC experienced and then the coerced sex from the MMC on the same day they escaped her situation.

Good novel

Anyone that may have issues with rape may find it this is a struggle to get through.
With that said I wanted to note that I really enjoyed reading this book and the further stories and the lotion universe. Navik and Cara Of course in the end have a happy ending.

Good read

Cora has been a prisoner for quite some time, she doesn't know how long. An escape attempt gives her a chance to escape when she meets Navik. Navik wants nothing to do with Cora. But neither of them has a choice. Enjoy
