The authors writing skills are pretty decent so I’ll give this a 3.

As for the characters … 😑. Leo’s so sleazy at the beginning of the book there was just no getting past that unfortunately. Then there is Francesca who is boring and socially retarded.

Couldn’t buy the idea this was a mafia family, the characters were all pretty weak.

Corrupted Union is the third book in the Moretti Mafia series but can be read as a standalone and has a guaranteed happy ending with NO cliffhangers or NO cheating. Each book in the series is focused on a different couple. It's nicely written with complex characters and a twisty storyline that pulls you in from the first chapter and keeps you reading until the very end. A faced pace, dark, twisted, and gripping read. A mafia arranged marriage story, opposite attracts story, dark mafia romance story, romantic suspense, relationship that started on a bet, mafia enemies-to-lovers romance, forced proximity, forced marriage, hate-to-love story, contemporary romance, billionaire romance, brother-in-law/second-in-command relationship, forbidden relationship, off-limits, age gap trope story, filled with suspense, drama, darkness, madness, surprises, anger, trauma, tension, emotions, resentment, angst, revelations, acceptance, survival, distrust, hurt, enemies, mystery, double-cross, traitor, fear, corruption, backstabbing, kidnapping, chaos, captivity, danger, dark secrets, hatred, greed, forgiveness, family issues, passion, patience, attack, threat, and love.
Francesca is third oldest Moretti who's now twenty years old. She's the historian of the family, the nerd who keeps her eyes and nose immerse in some type of history book/world literature at times; and unfortunately the child who their mom always forgets and totally ignores every single day since the death of her life, and poor Francesca doesn't have any idea but she doesn't let's it bother her as long as she as her beloved books. However, it was disclosed in this book, that her atrocious behavior towards all these years is because she blames her for her husband's death, even though she knows that he died from cancer. I am so over her and Franco and she no longer feels sorry for her all that she's going through at his hands. It's time for the author to kill them both off and the series will not be a good one if he doesn't get his comeuppance and Antonio be the right ruler of his dad's empire and all Mr. Moretti six children happy at least this would let continue reading this author book.
It's time for Francesca to find a mate and enter into an arranged marriage just like her two sisters in order to help strengthen the family. Francesca mom is too busy caring for her new children that she's has with Franco, and doesn't have no time to find a proper suitor; plus her resentment towards Francesca makes her doesn't even not bother putting a forth a little effort. Therefore, she send her to her older sister Emilia in Los Angeles who is currently nine months pregnant. This years of neglect has made her withdrawn, resource, and broken. Leo is the second Benetti is, Marco's Aldi very resourceful second in command. Leo is a infamous player and flirt. Who constantly flirted with Emilia daily after she married his boss and made lewd statements about sleeping with her which made her uncomfortable even when she put him in place.
From the first time Leo say Francesca he was instantly drawn to her. However, Leo has zero regards for all women and use as if they're not human beings. To him it's all about the chase to see if he can get them and if it will be a challenge and if or how long said challenge will be. He's disgusting, depraved, cold-hearted, monstrous, callous and sadistic. And poor Francesca got crossed in his crossed-hair and he made a bet that he corrupt and break poor naive Francesca. However, it was going to be as easy as Leo believed it is because this this girl wasn't just one of the women in LA that corrupt, break, destroy then toss like a sanitation waste management; Marco will not stand for that because they have had countless conversations about his ways over the years.
Before Leo knew it there was an arranged marriage set between the so that Francesca reputation is not ruin. Leo is such an alpha hole in the author a great job of portraying him and the entire book makes you hate him and want to stay hundred feet as if there order in place. Francesca continues to find solace in her books at through arts at museums is the only way she feels any form of comfort. She has it coming both ways because the day of her wedding her mother was so nasty to, that her just can't catch a break.
The things Franco will do just to hold on to power. He forgets that those kids are is biological nieces and nephew and he will kill out every last one of his brother's bloodline if meant that he keeps the man empire. He must go I don't know what Ivy wanting on. The scumbag kidnapped Antonio during the ceremony just so he doesn't give him his birthright. He didn't care if hurt the woman that she was going lose her after losing her husband. I am so glad that siblings worked together like they normally do and rescued their brother. I hope this would give the mother strength to leave him. I liked how the author gave us a back story into why Leo was like this. It was gut-wrenching and heart breaking. It was a hard fought HEA that was deserving.

Ivy Davis has surpassed my expectations with Corrupted Union. I loved the two previous books in the Moretti Mafia Series and while the second book was my favorite the third has now taken its place. There was just something extra special about Francesca and Leo's story. These two were absolutely perfect together and truly brought out the best in one another. I really enjoyed watching the growth these two went through during their story. The cruel playboy who ruthfully mistreated women finding love and realizing just maybe his previous behavior was an abomination. Francesca the extreme introvert who felt more comfortable reading a book than interacting with her own family. She was timid and had no idea how to speak up for herself. But, when Leo and Francesca were together those things all disappeared and they found strengths within themselves that neither of them knew even existed. Ivy has delivered an original plot with plenty of heat, lots action and wonderful characters who were impossible not to love making for one entertaining read. Ivy had my attention from the minute I began reading Corrupted Union making it impossible for me to put this book down. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and watching all of the Moretti children find love and become their own person.

Now that Francesca is twenty years old it is time to find her a husband who will strengthen the family as is tradition for all mafia children. This is the last thing Francesca wants, but when she meets Leo there is a magnetic pull between them that scares her leaving confusing emotions in its wake. While Leo has no intention of ever getting married he cannot help, but find himself being drawn to Francesca. She has been repeatedly warned by her sister to stay away from Leo because of his womanizing ways and lack of morals. This of course only makes Leo more desirable and harder to resist. Leo is a master at charm and fully plans on using it to his advantage. Afterall, Leo has no intention of losing the bet he has wagered on collecting a certain someone's v-card. A little miscalculation on Leo's part sends everything out of control turning his world upside down. Can Leo truly change his ways and be the man Francesca needs him to be or will they both end up with broken hearts?

In this gripping tale of love and transformation within the mafia world, readers will experience a rollercoaster of emotions as they follow the tumultuous journey of Francesca Moretti, the third daughter of a notorious crime family. Francesca, a reserved and introverted young woman, often feels like a shadow within her own family. Lost in the pages of books and the world of museums, she leads a solitary life with no friends to confide in. As her older sisters marry and leave her behind, Francesca's isolation deepens. The time has come for her to wed, but her mother, too preoccupied to oversee her suitors, sends her off to her sister's residence in Los Angeles. This neglect and constant invisibility have left Francesca scarred with a profound sense of inadequacy.

Enter Leo Benetti, the second-in-command to Marco Aldi, a man notorious for his womanizing and cruelty. Leo, who once viewed women as mere targets for his sadistic games, makes a reckless bet to corrupt the innocent Francesca, intent on breaking her. However, when fate intervenes, Leo finds himself bound to marry her, a prospect he never imagined. As their tangled web of deceit unravels, unexpected emotions emerge, and Leo discovers a side of himself he never knew existed.

The remarkable transformation of Leo from a heartless manipulator to a compassionate and devoted partner forms the heart of this story. While Leo's initial actions were reprehensible, his journey toward redemption is both captivating and inspiring. As readers anticipate Francesca's inevitable discovery of Leo's deceit, they may yearn for more profound acts of contrition on his part. Nevertheless, the novel ultimately delivers a satisfying conclusion as Leo embraces his love for Francesca and seeks to atone for his past transgressions. His heartfelt devotion and humility in worshiping her create a poignant and unforgettable conclusion to their love story.

Tropes: Contemporary romance, dark romance, mafia romance, arranged marriage, enemies-to-lovers, betrayal, bad boy/good girl, opposites, age gap, virgin heroine, happily-ever-after
Heat: 3/5.

Another hit for me from Ms. Davis. I love all the characters in her books and how they intermingle in each one.

This books is about Leo and Frans relationship.

Leo is a player. He uses women for his pleasure and when he is done he likes to leave them emotionally hurt. The more he can emotionally hurt them the more he loves it. Fran on the other hand is a very shy, reserved, quiet lady. She has been overlooked by most of her family members and over the years she has retreated more into herself.

Her uncle, decides it is time for Fran to marry, she is now 20 and he wants her out of the family home. Her Mam hasn't the time to find her a suitor so sends her to stay with her sister in LA who will find one for her. There she meets Leo, who takes a liking to her but her sister warns her to stay away from Leo as he is cruel to women.

Leo ends up making a bet with his friend to seduce Fran but as he tries things don't go according to plan and he gets caught with Fran. The decision is made that he has to marry Fran because of the damage it could do to Fran's reputation.

Can Leo and Fran make it work? Can Leo's attitude towards women change to allow him to make a connection to his new wife? Can Fran eventually find her 'voice' and become a strong woman like the other women in her family? But Leo's friend Henry doesn't play fair and tells Fran about the bet. Fran is upset and hurt with Leo but then she hears there is family emergency back in New York regarding her brother Antonio which allows her to put distance between herself and Leo. Emilia and Fran leave straight away to go back east to help out. Leo is upset and things come to head between him and Henry. While Fran is in NY can she lead the family through the crisis and also forgive Leo for hurting her?

Definitely love this series of books and can't wait to see if they are further ones written telling the story of the other siblings. Highly recommend them.

Francesca is invisible not only to the outside world, but very much to her own family. It is heartbreaking how awful she is treated just by never being remembered except to do everyone’s biding or never even considered for anything. Francesca has been the wallflower all her life that she is use to it and never stands up for herself and the whole time reading you are pulling for her to finally grow a back bone, but that backbone only comes out when Leo the bad boy seems to show her attention. When she is sent off to find a suitable husband and basically forgotten by her family the last person she thought she would gain attention from was Leo. Leo isn’t a good guy at all and for the majority of the book he proves to us over and over again what a jerk he really is that is until he is forced to face the consequences of his actions. This story takes you on a journey full of emotions, suspense, and two characters learning and growing. Watching Leo learn to love and become a better person for Francesca was the best and I can’t wait to see what is in store for Antonio.

4.5 Stars!! This is the third book in the Moretti Mafia family. Francesca is the daughter who is overlooked in the family. She is introverted and shy, more likely to read a book or go to a museum than interact with others. When she is twenty, it is decided that she should get married. Her mom decides to send her to her sister, Emilia, in Los Angeles as she has too much going on to find her a husband. Then there is Leo, Emilia's husband's second in command. He is a playboy and alpha who isn't really that good to women. All stems from his childhood. He makes a bet that he can seduce Francesca and take her virginity but gets caught and is told by the boss that he will be marrying Francesca to save her reputation. There is a definite spark between the two main characters. Francesca actually sticks up for herself with Leo. Will they be able to make it work, or will it all fall apart? Good read.

This is the third book in the Moretti Mafia series and is about an arranged marriage for, uh, what's her name, the daughter that always blends into the background and seems invisible, oh yea, this is Francesca's story. Of all the sister's we have read about to date, Francesca's transition into marriage and transformation where she begins to find and express herself is the most surprising. She blends into the background of the family so much that her mother doesn't feel the need to help arrange her marriage, so she is shipped off to Los Angeles to Emilia and Marco's so her oldest sister can find her a suitable husband. When Marco's second in command, Leo sets his eyes upon Francesca, the consummate ladies cad doesn't realize that he has just met his match. I loved how Leo and Francesca seemed to help change how they each view the world and themselves and slowly become a power couple in their own right.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

I like the story line ,but the spelling errors annoy me ,feel like the author  was getting lazy and editor never didnt there job.

I don't really like Leo, his gross and I dont know how to feel about him still now after finding out that they are supposed to get married and are dress shopping. Where is his family ? Isnt he one of the brothers ? Why wasnt his family at the wedding or even involved in his life ,cause you just hear so much about her family and everything here family Is about and all ,like it also sounds like his an only child.

Fran annoys me with her shyness but I like that Leo brings out the boldness in her. Why did she forgive him so easily like shes just a walk over.

The mother also needs to get her priorities straight cause what's more important finding your 18y/o son or the birth of your grand kid. The mother also needs to stand up for herself and her kids and kick that shit of a man out her house.

I like that the book ended with the "the end"

A Bet That Backfires

Francesca is the invisible one in her family as she keeps to herself, reading & visiting museums. When Leo makes a bet with his friend, he starts flirting with shy Fran. She’s full of doubt, suspicious of his motives & attention towards her, and yet, deep down is liking it. Now, in an arranged marriage with him, Leo steps up to the challenge to get to know her as his other charms aren’t working with her. Two opposite people find their way to a HEA but not until there is forgiveness to those people who have done them wrong, in Fran’s & Leo’s minds. An interesting story to read. Leo’s her strength to be the strong beautiful women she always has been & just needed that nudge to open up.

***MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS***

I have read all three books in this series and this one is my least favorite. While I enjoyed seeing Fran open up and find her voice, the story seemed a bit rushed. I liked how she wasn’t forced to marry at 18 like her older sisters. It broke my heart how Fran’s mom doesn’t even notice that she’s around most of the time. The only person that actually saw her was taken away from her and she was blamed for it. The story was a great one to tell but I missed the spice the other two books had. (I know Fran is shy and has to do things on her own time so the spice is mild) I’m glad Leo changed his ways and learned to love her how she deserved to be loved. And I’m also grateful for the HEA. Can’t wait until the next book comes. Thank you Ms. Davis!!.

Corrupted Union is Book 3 in the Moretti Mafia and is the fantastic, arranged marriage story of Francesca Moretti and Leo Benetti. This story is so emotional. These characters are about as opposite as you can get but somehow, in the end, they work. My heart ached for Francesca. She's gotten lost in shuffle within her own family so when it's her time to marry she's sent to L.A. to her sister. This is where she meets Leo. He's second in command to Marco, her brother in law, and he's quite the scoundrel. Corrupted Union is intense, emotional, gritty and beautiful and you feel every single one of these emotions. However, I will be so happy when Franco gets his!

Another good read in this series. At 1st I didn't really care for Leo because of the way he was written in book 1 Ruthless Union. He eventually grew on me though. I really liked Francesca, she reminded me so much of me. I've been a book worm all my life and still don't get on with my mother 😔. Don't get me wrong I've connected with characters before but Francesca spoke to me on a deeper level. So far though book 2 of this series (Twisted Union) is still my favorite. Let's face it, a stabby psychopath is just 🔥🔥🔥. I look forward to Antonio's story (Deceptive Union), I can't wait to find out how he takes down Franco.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.

This is Francesca Moretti's story. She is the third daughter. She lives for her books and is often forgotten. She is sent off to her sister in L.A. Leo Benetti finds himself bound to marry her after a bet. Leo is the second-in-command to Marco Aldi, her oldest sister Emilia's husband. Francesca and Leo are complete opposites. Leo is quite despicable in the first half of the book.

Leo is scary man but watching him transform before Francesca was a great part of the story. I loved that she could stand up to Leo when she went unnoticed by her family growing up. The story spins into great chemistry, along with some action, twists and plenty of steam. Great addition to the Moretti Mafia series by Ivy Davis.

Leo is Marcos second in command and a womaniser, a bad man as a player of hearts but he has set his sights on Franesca, Emilias quiter and more reserved sister whose come to stay as its time to find her a suitor, but when Francescas reputation is put on the line, by Leo, they must marry but could Francesca ever love the man whose corrupted her very being? And what happens when his truth gets revealed? Well written engaging steamy, bet, player/shy girl romance. A great addition to to series.

Wow wow wow, this book was pulling on my heartstrings the entire book. I couldn't put it down. This is the 3rd book in the Morretti Mafia series. Leo and Francesca's love story was so riveting and raw. What started as a game and an arranged marriage turned into something truly beautiful. Also the underlying plot was amazing! I loved this book! 10/10 recommend if you love mafia romances.

Francesca and Leo are unlikely adversaries in this action-packed drama. They find themselves married but his attitude towards her at first was horrible. She comes from a dysfunctional family with no love lost for her, but the tides turn in her favor with Leo. This well written story kept me glued to the pages.

Francesca and Leo

Francesca is sent to her sisters so she can help her find a husband as her mother is worn out and hasn’t the time to find a suitable husband. Franco who took over the family is demanded she gets her daughter married off. Franny is very shy, only speaks when she has too and always has her head in books. Things change for her when she arrives at her sisters house unexpectedly.. great story

Love a bet-gone-wrong story and here we have a lovely story of emotional growth and a hard characters transformation. Now Leo our MMC is no butterfly in his metamorphosis, but he is a compelling romantic lead. I also loved Francesca our FMC. She’s a little cliche with the whole ‘bookish’ quiet one but she works perfectly with Leo.
This is an entertaining and surprisingly affecting addition to the Moretti series and I loved it!

Francesca and Leo were great; it started off extremely wrong but ended up great. Henry pissed me off; and his hatred and jealousy towards Leo got him killed. And I loved that the one sister that Anyone would consider someone to be wary of, is the one who tracked down her brother and helped him for getting killed. It sucked it took so long for Everyone to see her but in the end, it all worked out and No One will be able to Forget her again! 💜💜💜💜💜

The Moretti Mafia!!
Loved it!! This was a fast read for me once I started reading Corrupted Union. Even though this was Francesca and Leo’s story it was nice being able to catch up on all the other siblings and their husbands. I can’t wait for Antonio’s story to come out. Awesome Book!!

3rd in a series and the first two were good to me. This one the story was okay BUT…. did NO ONE EDIT THIS BOOK?! The grammar errors and wrong words in my copy was AWFUL. It took me so long to finish because I just couldn’t stand the constant errors.

Whew

This one definitely gets the heart pumping!! So much deceit and lessons learned. Fran is so strong and amazing, I'm glad Leo changed, but what he did is still abominable!!

corrupted

I liked this book too. Not as much as the one before it. I did purchase the whole series. The only thing I see wrong with it is all the typos in it.
