Sweet and steamy is my thing! I just love when a hero is gentle, passionate, and protective with his heroine. It makes me melt inside. As a reader, I’ve especially come to love monster romance novels, but I couldn’t find enough that scratched that itch. So I decided to start writing!

Abigail Brooks is surprised to learn she was added to Edmund Hawthorne’s Will and has inherited the Hawthorne Estate. Confused, she goes to Seattle to accept her inheritance. She was comforted being near the almost lifelike gargoyle, Nathaniel, who has been protecting the estate from his rooftop vantage point for centuries. She talked to the stone statue as if he could hear her, and she leaned against him as she talked to him. She felt like he was protecting her as well as the estate. When she couldn’t sleep, she went up to the rooftop again and greeted her gargoyle. But this time, a voice responded to her! She saw no one around her, but again the voice told her not to be afraid. And she saw one of the gargoyle’s clawed hands stretched out toward her. She backed away as it stood upright, towering over her at least 7 feet. But kind eyes started to reassure her. He was intelligent and patient as he told her the estate’s history and she admired his dedication to protecting it. And as time passed, she found herself falling for him.
But their time together is threatened when an evil vampire, Lord Vargas, wants to steal her away from Nathaniel. Will Abigail and Nathaniel be able to defend against the evil vampire? Will they find their HEA?
Although shocked upon learning she was the sole heir of a mysterious mansion from someone she had never heard of, Abigail made the decision to give up her job and move into her new home. Surprised and a little nervous about the attorney’s words concerning anything supernatural and the fact that she’s now the protector of the estate along with the help of an unknown guardian, she nevertheless moves in and begins caring for the estate while still wondering about her role as protector and that of the supposed guardian. One night, while enjoying the view from her balcony, she hears a strange voice and is then met by a huge, handsome, living gargoyle. Nathaniel, having lived alone for untold centuries, is drawn to Abigail’s bravery and kindness. Abigail, attracted by his gentle, protective attitude towards her, falls in love with him as well and vows to be his forever. This book has it all, vampires, gargoyles, an epic battle, love, lust and eternal mates. And that’s just book one, there’s two more to come! TL:DR— I loved it, Nathaniel is sweet and sexy, dominant and tender and Abigail is sweetly submissive to his every desire (no BDSM) making for some very steamy scenes. BUT, be forewarned, you may have to suspend belief in several places but, do like I did, just roll with it.

Possessed by the Gargoyle is book one of Allegra Rose's Guardian Gargoyles series. This is a new author to me, however, I was drawn in by the Gargoyles - and I'd be lying if I hadn't thought of the 90's Gargoyles cartoon as well.
This is a relatively short novella, a real easy read that could be finished in a couple hours at the most.
Abigail gets the shock of her life when she finds out that she's inherited a grand mansion, not even knowing she was distantly related to the family that owned it. Upon taking her inheritance, she then discovers the old mansion's mysterious and enigmatic guardian, Nathanial. Nathanial is the titular gargoyle and he knows straight away that it is fate that has brought him and Abigail together.
The loving is off the charts, these two dive feet first into their sexual relationship, although the emotional development isn't too far behind the physical. However, aside from that there is drama in the shape of the evil vampire Lord Vargas and his minions. Vampires and black magic are a dangerous mix but Nathanial and Abigail need to work together - to protect their home and each other.

Abigail is seriously confused when she finds out she has inherited a very large mansion in Seattle. When she arrives to speak to the lawyer, she is told that her role is to act as protector along with another guardian against supernatural attacks. Being responsible for such a massive property seems daunting but this might just be the life change she needed. When the guardian awakes to introduce himself, Abigail is afraid yet quickly warms to the gargoyle adonis. Together they will be the force that keeps the area safe and prevents vampire takeover. They both fall in love and cannot wait for the setting of the sun to be together in all ways.
This was a short instant love story that was so incredibly sweet with its heart warming speech. This was full of passionate and dangerous moments that cements their romance plus their urgency to burrow into each others hearts. The threat is very real for them and it pushes them further into each others embrace as they fight got what should be promised. I love how truly protective this winged stone male is for his mate as he risks his own life to shelter her. A perfect little bedtime romance that is bound to give you hot but sugary dreams.

'So much had changed in a single night. But as I watched my living legend stand sentinel over the estate below, I had never felt more certain I was finally where I was meant to be.'
I enjoyed this book. It was a fun read and a good start to a new series. Good world building. Gargoyles have always been dear to me since I was a kid, and I enjoy seeing the different stories about them in romance. The storyline is interesting from the start as Abby's cousin calls to let her know that a distant relative she didn't know she had left her his estate in his will with instructions that she be it's protector against supernatural threat along with it's guardian. She knew of the history between vampires and gargoyles decades ago, but was still surprised to see the gargoyle statue she would talk to come alive at night. I really liked Nathaniel. He and Abigail fall for each other very quickly and work together to protect the mansion against the vampire threat. I enjoyed it, but things happened a little to quick for me to enjoy them as I would if the relationship building were more drawn out. 4 stars

I have enjoyed reading this book so much! The relationship built between Nathaniel and Abigail is sweet and steamy. They are guardians of a large estate against vampire hordes. There are several intense scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is a HEA and a deeply committed couple who deeply love each other.

It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the idea of sentient gargoyles made my heart pitter patter. With hints of gothic romanticism and dialogue reminiscent of a bygone era, I was soon completely engrossed. Although there were a few moments when I felt as though I needed a bit more explanation, and there was some confusion as to whether or not Abigail was a mage (for example, she sends ahead a pale mage light to illuminate her way in the study, but fumbles in the dark in the secret passage), the story was easy to follow. The combination of a guardian gargoyle and fated mates made for a steamy read, with Nathaniel and Abigail tearing up the sheets at every opportunity, albeit the idea of being fingered by a gargoyle with clawed fingers sent shivers down my spine, and not in a good way. So, love it or hate it, I found it refreshing to read about a different kind of monster than vampires or shifters. . Abigail was working in the bookstore when her cousin called to let her know she was names as heir for Hawthorne Estate. She couldn't understand how she was named heir but went back to Seattle to accept. A few nights after she arrived, she was on the roof and the gargoyle came to life. Nathaniel is the living guardian for the hall and now of Abigail. As the days and nights pass they become drawn to each. Then the threat of vampires comes home and they are in a battle of their lives. Will they survive? A beautiful story with lots of excitement.

This is a novella and only took me an hour and a bit to read. I really liked it, both main characters, Abigail and Nathaniel, were appealing. I haven't read monster romances before and, to be honest, I wouldn't have thought that a gargoyle would be particularly attractive, but apparently, I was wrong. I will definitely read the next two books in this series, though I hope they're a bit longer.

This was not what I expected, it was definitely a good book and it eventually evened out. However the first…. Half-ish was mostly spent waiting for him to “wake-up” then it seemed like it was all spice. Like I said earlier though it DID even out. It’s definitely worth reading.

The title where it says Instalove is absolutely accurate. If you need more than almost at first sight swoon this won't be for you BUT if that's your jam this is a very sweet book overall. I'm a total sucker for the protective, touch her and die, where have you been all my life vibes and if that sounds like fun to you then I highly suggest picking this book up. 5/5 Stars

This book left me absolutely speechless! Cannot wait to start the next one! In love with this book! Will definitely recommend this to friends and family!.
Abigail (h) inherits historic Hawthorne Estate from a distant relative, along with funds for its upkeep and a guardian. She’s surprised to find that the guardian is a gargoyle, Nathaniel (H) who protects the estate from vampiric enemies. As she gets to know her nightly companion, things heat up between Nathaniel and Abigail, even as they fight together against a powerful vampire enemy. Hot and steamy gargoyle-human instalove romance with plenty of violence and danger.
This was a fun fast read that brought together human Abigail and gargoyle Nathaniel. She unexpectedly inherits a castle and, with how stagnant her life was, packed up and moved in to see what the legacy was about. She thought she was talking to a gargoyle statue but nope, he's so much more than a statue ;) These two work together to protect against evil and find love along the way. Expect to get caught up in the action, danger and steamy romance as they work towards an HEA :D
The first book in the Guardian Gargoyles series, a great start to this series. This is human Abigail and gargoyle Nathaniel with them meeting when she goes to Edmund Hawthorne’s estate that she has inherited. The story is well written with drama, danger, suspense, villains and romance. This is a new Author to me. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
