Elisabeth feels alone in the world. Aside from her brother, she doesn’t have many people to count on or anyone who truly sees her for who she is. She’s out one night (something she never does), which turns out to be a hot mess, except for the moment where she meets Carter.
I loved the meet between Beth and Carter. Scenes like that make me believe in love at first site. There is a lot that is going on in both of their lives through this book, but that night together will always be special to them. It will carry them through a lot.
Love is messy. Life is messy. The love story between Beth and Carter will be messy. I can tell. There were a few parts in this book that made me tear up. There were also ones that made me smile so big. And quite a few that made me fan myself. It had that angst that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next and how everything will turn out. I’m not sure, but I know we’re going to be in for one heck of a ride.
Dylan Allen’s writing has this captivating quality. Her books suck me in, and this one was no exception. I’m so happy books two and three will be out soon, because I am so anxious to find out where Carter and Beth’s story goes! If you’re looking for a fast paced, steamy, all consuming read- this is the book for you!!

CRAZED - CONTENT - MAD - DISTRAUGHT - LOVE - OUTRAGE - HEARTBROKEN - SEDUCTIVE - Those are just a FEW of the emotions that "Between Now and Forever" elicits. Dylan Allen's latest literary sensation left me in a jumbled state - staggered, off balance, but mostly flabbergasted and excited for what this story holds. I am a lover of her writing, and this book has unequivocally become her best writing to date. These characters and situations lay the ground work for what is sure to be a sumptuous trilogy.
Elisabeth and Carter's story is unique and strategically woven to where the unraveling takes your breath completely away in more than one way. I literally spent so much time talking out loud to these characters, chastising them for what they did or didn't do. So many "OMG" moments between characters caused me to pause in disbelief over something they said or did. Dylan Allen is a master in taking you to the edge but slowly drawing you back in for everything that comes before the crescendo. This story is no exception. There is so much to love (and loathe) in this story. Characters that are twisted and deplorable are just as intriguing as the ones you love in this book. Their atrocious demeanor and actions make you yearn for the tender, passionate, and loving moments, which Allen delivers in spades.
Aside from this book being an absolute page turner, its staying power is irrefutable. Elisabeth and Carter truly stay in your heart. There is a purity about them that is fascinating and just grabs at you. As kismet as their union is, presuming that their story follows suit would be a foolish notion. But their volatile passion for one another is what provides fuel for this story.
There are so many aspects of this story that will tickle any romance reader's fancy. Falling in love with Elisabeth and Carter is guaranteed, and definitive. I have no words to describe how amazing and wonderfully written this book is! This author weaves together such an amazing story that I was pulled into it's tight, unrelenting clutches right from the prologue and was turning pages and forgoing sleep because I just couldn’t put it down. To say that I am now in a massive book hangover is an understatement. Between Now and Forever is one of those books that you are loathe to finish because it is so good, but you also can’t put it down as you need to find out what happens.
Beth and Carter are both strong, complex, well-developed characters that you cannot help but love. In their first meeting, you could really feel the gravitational pull between the two of them. They experience an intense connection that neither one can deny, but so many obstacles stand in their way.
Beth has a beautiful soul and is resilient in the face of cruelty and tragedy. At times, I felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest as I read what all she endured. Carter’s character has many layers. He is picking up the pieces after being on a downward spiral. While the two of them each experience such hardship, their feelings towards each other never waiver. Between Now and Forever will put you through all of the feels and is a rollercoaster of a ride. It is book 1 in a trilogy so there is a cliffhanger. This book is beautifully written with an intriguing storyline, engaging characters, and a strong need for a box of tissues.

Absolutely love these characters!! What a wild ride! This book has everything, angst galore, intriguing storyline, amazing amazing characters, and all the feels!
This trilogy starts off with a bang! The emotional depth of the story. The way the main characters relate to one another. The family saga that plays in the background. I was completely engrossed by each and every one of these things. This is where Dylan Allen shines.
And lets not even discuss that ending! I did not see if coming! The countdown for book two has already started. I cannot wait to see how this ride ends. I know for a fact that I’ll enjoy every minute of the journey!

I can feel my heart pounding in my chest.
This.is.real.raw.heartbreaking.feeling.
Dylan Allen has written a groundbreaking romance. This story has a purpose, a message and a call for change. Between Now and Forever is only the beginning of an epic saga. But I can already feel this story is going to make a difference.
I always adored Dylan's ability to make me face hard truths. And she broke all limits in this story. You will be brought face to face to so many dark , ugly and true secrets of humanity and society. We often hide them and ignore them. It takes a lot of courage to put them in a story and that too in beautifully tragic way. Without sugercoating. I don't even know where to start. Marks we don't want to show. Emotional and physical abuse we endure. The overwhelming feeling of loss of control over one's own life. But above all the little hope and love and that helps us to go on. The story line is full of twists and turns and shocks. Dylan will deliver punches to your heart and soul. And it will be almost unbearable specially at the end. I cannot believe she left me there!
Elisabeth has incredible strength and courage. She is real. She embodies real struggle, vulnerabilities and suffering. I cannot believe she is still standing after the bruising and burning war. Well the war is not over yet. And Carter Bosh gave her the slice of light and hope. He has his own world of pain. But he saw beyond her superficial imperfections. Their connection is one of those once in a lifetime relations. Universe plans it. It made me sigh , swoon, cry and die from the emotional torture. Dylan is an expert in writing star crossed lovers trope but she exceeded my expectations. No matter how hard I braced myself , the angst filled story hit me hard. I kind of hate her for making me go inside hell and leaving me there! It was brutal but necessary to capture the intensity.
Dylan Allen took a risk writing an unique story in Forever Trilogy. And it paid handsomely. Between Now and Forever is just beginning of an incredible journey. An angsty, intoxicating, heart-rending story that you cannot miss at any cost.

This couple is EVERYTHING!! They own my soul! I love them, their connection is wow, it gave me goosebumps. Their chemistry is off the charts. Their scenes are soooo steamy, and passionate, wow, I couldn't get enough of them, I wanted them to go on forever.
The way that the author describes their emotions and feelings is mind-blowing, you feel it in the depths of your being. The deep connection between Beth and Carter was instant and so intense. I swooned so hard with them. But their path is not easy, it is full of ache and suffering, I wanted to go into the book and hug them and never let go.
It is a love story, a journey full of love, pain and drama, and the anguish, OMG, my heart still hurts, and many unexpected twists hooked me from beginning to end, the secrets and mysteries made me read without stopping and left me breathless!
The plot is interesting and different, and that ending, really ???? Because Dylan Allen left us like this. I cannot wait for the next one!

There’s Always Music
An angst-filled journey that I could not put down!!! The author kept me riveted with Liz and Carter; their love and their struggles. My heart is wrung out and all I want is MORE!
Carter and Liz find what they had always been searching for within each other, to only have it cruelly torn from them. They met and it was just such an intense connection. Their chemistry bled through the pages. They were incredible together even though their happy was all too brief.
Her father had his own plans for Liz. She had a family name to uphold and a role to fill. Carter was leaving for his tour. As a talented pianist, he would be traveling for the near future. They planned to do what was necessary to be together. Liz’s father had other plans.
Love doesn’t have to occur over time. Sometimes it happens so fast you don’t even realize. It’s something that embeds itself within you, no matter how much you try and fight it. And it can be brutally stolen from you.
This was a story of loss, resilience and sacrifice. It will break your heart and leave you feeling helpless at times. But you will also feel empowered as the characters take back control and fight to get what they want. I loved the path the author led me down. I was totally immersed in their story. I will be counting the days until I can get my hands on book two!

I don't even know how to write a review for this book. It was pure P E R F E C T I O N! Between Now and Forever is charged with various emotions - lots of sadness, but still even more love, desperateness but also hope. There's lot of angst and darkness and even cruelty. But the bond between Beth and Carter overshadowed anything else. They are obsessively interesting - both as individuals and as a pair!
Beth has a crazy family or rather mainly a crazy father. Controlling perfectionist and honestly? The biggest a--hole. He doesn't believe in her, no matter how hard she tries to please him. And Beth is super smart, talented, generous, kind and loving creature. She is so lovable! I felt really bad for her several times in the book because Dylan didn't write her an easy storyline at all. Carter came into her life at both the best and the worst time possible. He was exactly what she needed in order to heal even though he brought his own demons to the relationship.
I really desperately need the second book as soon as possible because I got addicted and need my next hit!

Everyone knows how in love I am with Dylan and her books. Between Now And Forever is another one to my favorites by this amazing author.
Between Now and Forever is a fantastic read which will have you feeling for the characters especially Elisabeth. Elisabeth and Carter have so much chemistry from the start of the book. Speaking of the start of the book, I loved it. Loved how we get to see a book start at the now and then go into the past showing how they got there.
Both Beth and Carter have their issues that they are dealing with. And both have issues with acceptance, everything in this book will pull at heart. That cliffhanger....definitely not what I was expecting. Can’t wait for good two.

I am a HUGE FAN of the beautiful Dylan Allen! The intelligence and amazing articulation of her writing sets her work apart. The fantastic characters she creates are multi-faceted and truly developed. Detail so well written the images I have while reading are positively vivid. Then let me tell you how perfectly woven and complex her storylines are - complex enough to keep me on the edge and surprised at every turn yet never confusing. Utterly brilliant. I find myself captivated! I can forget the world around me if only for those few hours - because once I start, I don't want to put my kindle down. Chores, cooking and laundry can wait, right? Momma needs to finish this book!
This story is so consuming that I forgot I was reading book one of three and let out a loud "aaaaaahhhh" when I hit that ending! That ending...omg omg omg! Absolutely epic and I cannot wait for more. I was so enraptured, dying and I mean dying to know how this was all going to play out.
I find myself torn wanting to describe everything I love but let's face it those are all spoilers. I want to describe my favorite aspects of the story and why but don't want to give any of it away. Who I love, who I love to hate because there is a list yo! And I am skeptical whether any of them can redeem themselves. Dylan writes from the heart, her stories carry a lot of soul. Her characters are human, flawed and imperfect...which adds to the perfection of the story

Holy hit you with the feels Batman! This is the first book by Dylan Allen that I have read and honestly, I do not know why I waited so long! This story was really raw and beautiful but also heartbreaking and earth shattering! We have Beth who just wants to fit in. Then we have Carter who just wants to live his life but on his own terms. But these two together? It is pure magic. Their stolen moments and their connection is just stunning. But as things play out, your heart shatters with everything these two go through on their own.
Honestly, it is hard to write this review because I just want to scream from the rooftops about this whole story and what happened to these two. Allen writes a story that will suck you in and leave you begging for more. And you have to know that this is a trilogy, so the ending… Oh man. My heart. What I really loved about this book aside from the concept, is the fluidity of the words. They just melt off the page and you devour this story. What a story. Dylan Allen's latest novel Between Now and Forever was an engrossing and gripping story that will have you hooked from beginning to end. This story will give you all the feels as this novel takes you on a roller-coaster ride of intense emotions throughout the story. The characters were complex and well developed and will touch your heart in so many ways. The chemistry between them was undeniable from the moment they met and you will be rooting for them as the story progresses. With so many twists and turns this novel will have you at the edge of your seat and will leave you with a cliff-hanger you would not see coming. OMG... I need the next book now. Between Now and Forever was a fantastic emotional story that shows the characters struggles, heartache, love and leaves you with a message about loving yourself as your are. I would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.

There goes my heart. By now I should be used to the emotional rollercoasters of Dylan’s stories. Let me tell you I was not prepared nor did I expected this level of anguish in Between Now and Forever.
This is a love story. One I know will have a happily ever after. But the journey to that forever is one full of pain, mistakes, heartache and loss along the way.
My heart was completely twisted by Elizabeth and Carter’s story. Book one of the Forever Trilogy will let us meet Beth and Carter as they are navigating their young life and family life.
There’s so many twists and turns in it that I guarantee you will be dropping your jaw and there will be lots of WTH and OMGs along the way. I seriously wanted to throw my kindle to the wall and scream at Dylan a few times. I couldn’t believe she put me through all the anguish along the way with this couple. The main characters will steal your heart but there’s other that I bet, like me, you will wish to get inside the book and strangle them.
The love connection between Beth and Carter was instant and so deep. You will swoon over their conversations and banter. Those first love butterflies will be present. The kind you wish to experience once more. They are both artists and as so they are very passionate people. This couple is also complicated and flawed. So many wounds inside their souls that will make you want to crawl inside the book and hug them.
There’s a MAYOR cliffhanger in book one that will leave you speechless and begging for book 2. So 1-clicking is a must on October 6.

I am side eyeing the heck out of Dylan Allen right now! I need book 2 like I need that first cup of coffee in the morning...desperately!! Dylan raised her own bar, and I couldn’t be more proud. The intenseness of this story and complexities of these characters blow me away. Elisabeth & Carter. Where do I even begin? There were so many moments between them where I literally stopped breathing. The chemistry was just gahmazing!! I love that on one end of the spectrum I was swooning in deep feels, and then BAM—heart ripping angst on the other end. This book was painful. The ending left me screaming and hyperventilating. What am I to do with my life now? I need book 2!!!!

Dylan, what have you done? Girl, I am full on raging. I am so freaking mad and the fact that I have to wait for the second book has me clenching my fist.
ALL THE DAMN FEELS! This book is wonderfully written. Dylan weaves her words into such an amazing story that pulled at my every emotion. I was hooked right from the prologue and was turning the pages as fast as I could not wanting to stop reading for any period of time. I could not for the life of me put this book down. And knowing that this book would probably end with a cliffhanger since it is part of a trilogy—it didn’t stop me from wanting to know what would happen even if it meant I had to not so patiently wait for the second book.
Beth, oh how my heartstrings were pulled for her. My heart hurt for her as well. How she thought she had to be and look a certain way for her to be accepted just angered me. She was every bit perfect just the way she was and didn’t need to change in order for people to like her. Beth has the most beautiful soul and was absolutely strong in the face of cruelty.
Carter captured me from the prologue. I loved him right from the beginning. There was no doubt in my mind how much he would impact me. Carter has many layers—and I needed each and every one of those layers peeled. I just need and want more of him.
Beth and Carter have undeniable chemistry. Right from their first meeting you could feel the gravitational pull between them. They can’t deny that intense connection, but so many obstacles stand in their way. No matter what though, their feelings for each other never waiver.
Between Now and Forever will pull at every heartstring. It will leave you an emotional mess. It’s a story full of twists and turns with enough angst, pain and heartache that’ll have you clenching your chest. This is book 1 and already I’m all up in my feels—I can only imagine what the next 2 books will have in store. More heartbreak I’m sure, so it’s best I stock up on boxes of tissues and chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate.

Look out romance book world because Dylan Allen is unleashing her A-game!!! This first book of the Forever Trilogy had me transfixed from the beginning. I was invested in the heroine, Elisabeth, immediately - I needed her entire story. She seemed desperate, but determined. Compassionate and loyal, but intimidated and naive at the same time. She was eager to do anything to fit in, and win her daddy's approval...and I mean ANYTHING.
Elisabeth's story is not an easy one. As much as you want to cheer her on, you mostly want her to stand her ground and fight. Fight for the life she wants, the love she desires, and the family she craves. When she meets Carter, it is such a turning point in her story. There is hope, lust, chemistry, passion, and then heartache. And heartache. And heartache. D Allen has a way with her storytelling that keeps you addicted to the book no matter how heart-wrenching it can be at times, and this story is no different!
Carter is a hero who you can't help but fall for immediately. He is passionate, bold, a charmer, and wears his heart on his sleeve. He held nothing back when it came to Elisabeth, and my heart both soared and broke for him.
I know that their story still has so much more to tell, and the twists and turns of this EPIC love will be both heartbreaking and heartwarming. These characters are addictive, the plot is unexpected and original, and the storytelling is beautiful. Well done once again D Allen! I can't wait to see where you take us next with this trilogy!!

This is book one in The Forever Trilogy, and if this installment is any indication of what’s in store, it’s my top series for 2019!!
The writing was smart, strong and powerful. Intense and thought provoking, the author took me on an enthralling journey where I experienced all the feels and left me longing for more!!
The story of Beth and Carter is a deeply emotional and passionate romance. However, as their story developed and evolved, I learned it was a much deeper and complex one.
Theirs is a story of love, family and acceptance.

I’ve read a few books by Allen now and one thing is for certain, she loves to play with your emotions while tearing up your heart. This was a storyline that was filled with angst and I was so addicting, I couldn’t put it down.
From the minute Carter and Liz met, their chemistry was insane, you could tell they needed to be together. Their first kiss is one I won’t forget in a while, it gave me the chills, it was raw, sexy and powerful that hinted so much more.
This book has so much going on between both families. Beth’s so stern, no real love, very disciplined and sheltered, whereas Carters you could feel the family bond and unity between them.
Carter, I just loved him. He was confident, commanding and knew his feeling for Beth, but, he was also broken and hurting and so alone with his thoughts.
Beth, this poor girl. I admire her strength. She has went through so much hurt in her life, a life that’s not really hers, always having to do as her father says. There is some heavy scenes and I ached for her, I wished she would have just run away! Her gran is one evil witch!
That ending!!! I’m so glad book two isn’t far away, I can’t wait to see what emotional journey we will be on next and to see where the story goes, as for sure, it won’t be straightforward. If you love a thrilling read with twists and turns and a unique story that will put your heart through the ringer, this trilogy will be for you!

Between Now and Forever is the first book in the Forever Trilogy and the beginning of Elisabeth & Carter's love story. I absolutely loved the way Beth and Carter met, and how he interacted with her. I especially liked that he adjusted his approach when he started to get an idea of her personality. Both characters have their own struggles, doubts, and dreams. There was a real connection between the characters, however it really was in the early stages. So I really look forward to seeing it grow in the upcoming two books. They are both young and especially Beth is someone who has been secluded and a bit naive, so she is experiencing a lot of things for the first time ever. She is not timid though, and I was happy to see some growth in her in this book.
There were some pretty heartbreaking scenes in this book, but also a lot of uplifting ones. The making out scenes were hot and heavy, and I always enjoy the ones Dylan writes. Overall, I think this book was a great introduction to the characters and their story. I really look forward to what will happen in the next book after the cliffhanger ending, which I didn't see coming. The pace of the story is great, and I love Dylan's writing style. I also love the characters she has created for this trilogy. There is some drama, but it didn't really bother me that much in this book. I look forward to all the angst, heartbreak, romantic and swoon-worthy moments in the rest of the trilogy.

Hi! Dylan Allen newbie here. I am so glad that I picked this book up. I always saw Dylan’s book all over social media and all of my friends were telling me that I HAVE to read her books. Well, I can finally say, I’ve read her work and I am NOT DISAPPOINTED! I am so glad I picked this book up!
Between Now and Forever is Book one in the Forever Trilogy. BN&F is filled with secrets, angst, drama, and lust. There are so many different details to the book that are happening and it takes you on a wild journey trying to connect all the pieces.
Beth and Carter are two soul mates who met at the wrong time. My heart breaks for them. Their lives, their experiences, it’s all so much.
I can’t wait to see what Dylan brings next in this series because that ending just blew my mind! I wasn’t expecting that and now I am itching for more!

I finished this book with an emotional high.
It's not every day I read a book that hits me on such a heart wrenching level like this one just did - it was heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time.

Dylan Allen’s latest, Between Now and Forever, is a 5⭐️ read! This is the first book in a trilogy. I absolutely loved Carter! He’s got issues, but he handles Beth with care. I can’t wait to see her grow and find herself in this series. She deserves happiness and I want to go along as she finds it. This book has a lot of angst which I love! The characters in this book are both on a journey to find themselves and I cannot wait to see how they mature and where their love story takes them. Bring on book 2 please!!

I was eyeballing the whole book the entire time. This book had left me speechless and utterly fascinating. The young love between Carter and Liz were the dream that I didnt want to wake up from. It was a total kismet when they first saw each other. The total fireworks of emotions!
Liz, the broken Princess had been living with pressure and complicated family. She is the young soul who was stuck with a difficult situation. I was drawn into the spiral emotions and choices were everything this book was. It was heart breaking and messy.
Yes, I adored love story with fairytale feelings. This love was young and reckless. I cant stop the feelings and its a smile. The story had flown like a river with no ending. It had all the vibes and absolute page turner.

I have to start off by saying this is some Dylan's best writing to date! I know this trilogy is going to draw in so many new DA fans and that makes me so happy. Between Now and Forever is about Elisabeth & Carter and let me tell you, the moment they meet it felt like everything just stopped, the way Dylan pulls you in is absolutely enthralling, I am OBSESSED with these two!!
Let me not get too ahead of myself because as much as the world stops for these two there's also so many other things happening that will have you losing your mind and have your jaw dropping and that's not an exaggeration. While this story will make you swoon and hold your chest and remind you how true love feels, it will also have your stomach in knots and dipping with angst because there are so many twist & turns and highs & lows.
There will be moments when your eyes will bug out, when you'll gasp and say, "Oh hell no Dylan you did NOT write that!" but gah, what a perfect page turner!! On the very last page I screamed "DYLAN YOU'RE A GENIUS!" albeit an evil one, lol. I need book 2 like I need my next breath! Dylan's writing is stupendous and these characters are wholly fleshed out, complicated, flawed and intoxicating, Between Now and Forever is not to be missed!
Let me not get too ahead of myself because as much as the world stops for these two there's also so many other things happening that will have you losing your mind and have your jaw dropping and that's not an exaggeration. While this story will make you swoon and hold your chest and remind you how true love feels, it will also have your stomach in knots and dipping with angst because there are so many twist & turns and highs & lows.
There will be moments when your eyes will bug out, when you'll gasp and say, "Oh hell no Dylan you did NOT write that!" but gah, what a perfect page turner!! What an awesome start!
Between Now and Forever got me hooked from the start and I for one cannot wait to read Book 2.
The drama, the chemistry, the ups and the downs..I mean this book had it all and it was all so addictive. And with a cliffhanger like that?! This book had it all.

I have been waiting for this story for seems like forever and Dylan Allen did not disappoint!! I first met Carter and Liz through a novella audiobook on the Read Me Romance podcast and ever since then I have been waiting to get their history. This is one emotional ride that I know ends with a happy ending but this beginning of the journey is HARD! Elizabeth has a father that is just evil and a mixed bag of family members that tested all of my emotions. I was instantly in love with Carter as soon as he entered the main story. No matter what his back story was he had my heart because the things that he had been through really connected to my heart. I cannot wait for the next part of their journey!! This is a three book series so there is a jaw dropping ending to this book.

Why do I read romance? I probably asked this question to myself a lot. Ever since I started reading romance novels, I never once answered the question. So, Tanaka, why do you read romance novels? Well, I read romance novels because I want to be touched by the characters. I want to experience their love, struggles, growth, development and passion. I want to immerse myself in their journey of love. Bask myself in their joy and happiness. Yes, the words are major to me because they provided that connection. But, really for me, it’s the characters. That’s why Dylan Allen always delivers. She gives me a character story. A human story. Her words are incredible but it’s her excellent delivering in building characters that tell soul enriching stories. Stories that leave an imprint in your heart. Dylan Allen truly transports you into stories that spellbind you. Every word is electrifying. Every chapter is alluring.
Between Now and Forever is the soul-aching first book in the Forever Trilogy. Written by the magnificent Dylan Allen, Between Now and Forever is an emotional book that grabs your heart. My heart felt every layer of the story. My soul was hit by every single emotion and feelings emanating from a rich and beautiful story. Dylan Allen writes from her heart. Her writing is honest. Her writing is true. Her writing always takes my breath away. Love is full of mistakes. Love can sometimes be difficult. Dylan Allen takes you on that journey of heartache, love, pain, loss and passion. She made me as a reader lose my mind, cry, ache, smile, swoon and laugh. Carter and Elizabeth owned my soul. I fell in love with their real issues, emotions and thoughts. Elizabeth is by far my favourite Dylan Allen heroine. I connected to her on her deeper level. I admired her amazing strength. While reading her story and thoughts, I felt really close to her. I know, it's weird but I truly understood the start of her journey. Carter is a flawed character but he is a hero who loves deep. I almost squealed and swooned so hard because Carter just gave me goosebumps and butterflies. I could not stop smiling.
Dear Dylan Allen, I need book 3. Gimme asap!!!! I want my answers. Let me tell you, I can’t wait for Between Now and Heartbreak.
