Collide is the second book in Dylan Allen's angsty 'Temptation Trilogy', and boy did she bring the angst in this one!
Elisabeth and Carter's messy love story continues... They've both been through a lot in the past year, but now they find themselves back in the same place at the same time. Even though Beth knows it could ruin everything she's trying to do, staying away from Carter seems completely out of the question. She tries, but she fails. Some people are drawn to each other, and just meant to be. Beth and Carter are like that.
This story held my attention from the first page until the last. I couldn't stop reading, guessing, and was totally engrossed with all that was going on. These books are the kind that are filled with drama, but impossible to put down. I was completely shocked with the direction it took. I was feeling a little worked up, but then I remembered the prologue of the first book, and I calmed down some. I have a huge theory about this, and I hope I'm right... I guess I'll have to wait until the final book comes out to see.
I'm so glad these books are being released so closely together! I need to know how Beth and Carter's story plays out! I'm loving these books and highly recommend if you enjoy emotional, angsty, steamy, and addictive reads!

D Allen continues the roller-coaster story of Carter & Beth in this second book in the Forever Trilogy. I was mesmerized and addicted from the first page. I couldn't put it down, and my heart raced as Carter & Beth tried to navigate their way back to each other and rekindle their passion and love. So many unexpected turns and plot twists that will leave you only wanting more of this epic love story!
If you haven't started this trilogy, I highly recommend it! D Allen has created a story that will surprise you at every Chapter, and you will continue to fall for these characters who weave their way into your hearts. You will get an even deeper look into both Carter & Beth's pasts in BNAH, and it will leave you with even more questions going into book 3!! The story-telling is absolutely amazing and I can't wait for Between Now and Always! Well done once again D Allen!

Woah. Hell.. not again. This author is out to kill me, I swear. My heart... Stupid stupid heart.
WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!?!
My jaw hit the ground so many damn times I have lost count...Where do I begin? Well, firstly I thought book one of Beth and Carter's story was intense and emotional and it was but book two just up to it a notch and threw me right back into a plot thick with emotions, secrets, drama, and passion.
My heart still hurts for Carter. He's struggled and struggled and he lays those struggles out in his music, and it was soul-crushingly beautiful. After finding the truth about his birth parents... It's made me realize there are so much more to this and so many more secrets in this small town, and it has me second-guessing it all... and keeping me on the edge of my seat.
Beth is strong... So damn strong. All the lies, the betrayal, the secrets, manipulation... All of it. She has to endure all of it but she does it. Truthfully? I'd of crumbled.
These two as one and apart are powerful characters. It's a story of love and so much more. It's about finding their true selves through all the hell they endure in their life and it's both tragic and beautiful.
I don't know about anyone else, but I found myself tearing up a little without this book. I also found myself biting my nail, cursing the author out, my heart pounding a mile a minute and jaw hitting the floor... I couldn't get enough and I am so eager for the ending. I need more answers, I need this happily ever after. I need MORE. LIKE NOW... Especially after that major cliff hanger that has left my head spinning.
The author never ceases to amaze me. Once again, she has written an incredible, unpredictable, all-consuming, masterful plot that had me hanging on every word.

4.5 musical stars!
What a tilt-a-whirl ride!! Dylan just keeps on outdoing herself with this series! I feel like my eyes are a big puffy mess from lack of sleep, tears, and just awe of Beth and Carter. They are so truly special to me, and I love how Dylan is making us fight with them for that HEA! Obstacles are thrown at them left and right, but if I know Dylan, it’s not going to keep them down. I love when the heroine and hero are both equal in strength and I feel like that is so Beth and Carter. Through it all they keep clinging to that intense love and passion they have for one another. Also, can we talk about some of these scorching sexy scenes between them. Y’all about needing to relieve pressure.
This book has secrets, lies, and a few scenes that gave me whiplash. That is what an amazing writer does though, not to mention ending on a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers!!!
Now I’m dying to dive into the third and final installment. I’m actually salivating over the thought of it!

Their path is not an easy one, it is full of obstacles, drama and pain. My heart still hurts for them.

I can't tell you how much I love Beth & Carter. Individually they're amazing and have been through so much. Carter in so many ways is broken and the things Beth has been through would make anyone want to sit in a corner rocking back and forth but they're both so strong!
When they're together, Gah it's everything!!! They are just so right for each other and everytime they're together you just get goosebumps because their chemistry is THAT palpable!

I loved the evolution of Beth and Carter's character. Beth is showing incredible maturity and tenacity in face of inhuman pressure. The negativity darkening her life is smothering her gentle and compassionate soul. But she is so brave and takes risk like a lion heart. And Carter is there for her. The beauty of this story is Dylan brings out the desperation and longing perfectly with her words. They cannot live without each other. And I feel that feeling deep in my heart. They had to suffer so many misunderstandings and conspiracies. It could be an impossible love story but Carter and Beth makes me wish and want. Carter is a beautifully broken man with music , passion and creativity running through his veins. I am through and through in love with this man. He can be soft and gentle. He can be dirty and bossy. And their chemistry is extraordinary. But the real strength of this story is the storyline. Dylan will keep on hitting you with sharp turns and dangerous secrets one after another. And I was not prepared at all for that moment at all. I threw my device, cursed her, bawled my eyes out and even now I am not ok with that bomb she dropped. I refuse to believe this can happen and my heart is breaking spectacularly.
It is high level emotional sorcery from Dylan Allen. This story has me wrapped in it's sensual, twisted, heart rending and loving arms. The wait for the ending will be a tortured one.

Beth is strong and resilient given her circumstances. She’s a loving and thoughtful person and that in itself adds to her turmoil.

Woah. What the heck did I just read?
Usually part two of a trilogy in a movie or book is the explanation of what happened in the movie or book one, how it happened plus the setup for the explosive ending in the upcoming third part, the GRAND FINALE. It’s the middle child, so to speak. It has it’s purpose but it’s not the first and it’s not the last. Well this book defies what I just wrote. This was the explosion I wasn’t expecting. I don’t do spoilers because that’s not fair to the author. So this is hard for me to review the story because I feel that saying almost anything could tip something off. What I will say is I’m not really sure how the author can bring this around to a happy or satisfying ending, but I’m sure she will. That’s why she writes the story and I enjoy it.
Normally, I would look for life comparisons but really this time, I’m a little stumped. What I’m going to say is that what I’m hoping for is hope because I have had the heartbreak, the anxiety and the WHAT THE....moments!
One area I can touch on was watching Beth get stronger and take some charge of her life. That was a positive. Carter has me twisted in knots. Have to say the scene in the bar/restaurant was probably one of my favorites on a good note. It brings the heat! However, there were some tender moments and some really intense ones.
How I wish book three was out! I like to think I’m a good detective sometimes. This is not one of those time. So please Dylan Allen hurry because you’ve built us up, you’ve broken us, now you have to put us back together. Don’t keep us in our misery by making us wait too long. What I can say is that when you’re clamoring for the next installment THAT means it’s a good book!

4.5 stars This author does it again with crafting a beautifully written, heart-wrenching story that left my heart bursting and scraping my jaw up off the floor. It was another sleepless night because I could not put down this book as I frantically flipped through the pages to discover what happened all while never wanting it to end.
Beth and Carter have been through hell and back and I am anxious for their HEA as these two are continually battling roadblocks and obstacles. Both characters remain strong, resilient, and well-developed and my heart broke many times over for them. These two definitely don’t have it easy. Nonetheless, one cannot doubt the deep seated love that they have for each other. They have this intense connection; a force that pulls them towards each other like strong magnets. Not to mention that my kindle was threatening to spontaneously combust from some of the smoking hot scenes!
There are secrets, an abundance of lies, and jaw dropping twists that will leave gasping with shock and put you through a rollercoaster of emotions. Between Now and Heartbreak is book 2 in this author’s The Forever Trilogy so it does end in a doozy of a cliffhanger that left me reeling and now I must patiently (or not so patiently) wait for book 3!

Not to mention that my kindle was threatening to spontaneously combust from some of the smoking hot scenes!
There are secrets, an abundance of lies, and jaw dropping twists that will leave gasping with shock and put you through a rollercoaster of emotions. Between Now and Heartbreak is book 2 in this author’s The Forever Trilogy so it does end in a doozy of a cliffhanger that left me reeling and now I must patiently (or not so patiently) wait for book 3!

AHH Between Now and Heartbreak gave me ALL THE things wich i anticipated after book one in this series. When my body was tired it doesn't bring my hand to put this beauty down.
After this end of Between Than and now i needed to know how the second story in this triology will develop. The things that came out in the first book.
There had been a lot of sparks and flames jumped to me from page one. I drove in to all those happy and sad feelings. My heart beat faster and harder for our Main Characters.
Beth and Carter are a special kind of magic. Seeing them dealing with live was like a roller coaster.
We saw how much energy and love the author put in to this book.
Our hero is a talented young man. He searches for important things in his life. He doesn't take a risk if a person in his heart. He has good humor and is a strong character.
Beth still needs to find out how she can be the person who she wants to be. The young women always tries to please herself while trie to live the truth.
All in all i was caught by this story from page one. I totally felt all the angst and there was a lot of hot romance novel. There were many surprising pltotiwst. Combined with an amazing story and grate character this book was perfect. its highly recommended so five of stars from me.

In the previous book we were introduced to Carter and Beth, and got to see who they were and what they were dealing with in life. The chemistry between them is very strong, and they have a hard time resisting one another. We were hit with a couple of unexpected twists in the previous book, which I didn't see coming. The mystery aspect in regards to Carter's life was a great addition to the story. I was anxious to see how everything would unfold. I should've known that the author had more in store for us. She was able to surprise me again and left me speechless. I will not go into further details, you'll just have to read the book and find out yourself.
The sex scenes were extra hot in this book, and I enjoyed seeing Carter and Beth grow even closer together. There were also a couple of emotional scenes that really touched me. Both characters deserve so much better than the situation they are in right now. Especially Beth feels very alone, so I was happy that she had her best friend Dina that made her see the light. There are a couple of characters for which my hate grew even stronger, and I really hope that they will get theirs in the next book. I am really excited to see how Carter and Beth's story will conclude in the last book of the trilogy. There are still questions I need answered!

Wowza, for real! As per usual with this amazingly talented author, I need a little bit to digest the book and think about my review.
I finished this 2 days ago and I honestly want to blurt EVERYTHING, but I will not!
This is book 2 and I couldn’t wait to read this, now I want book 3 yesterday!
Ok, we have a front row seat to this twisty goodness! This series, so far has low angst but there are tons of twists and turns and, just like book one, I had my OMG moment in the book, you will too!
All I can say without spoilers is wow, wow, wow, where are we going with this story? There are two things to know: make sure you read the author’s letter at the end of this book and secondly, I fully trust this author, I mean, 100% trust her knowing that this story will be tied up and delivered to us!
So my final word is read this series, but do have an open mind!

After finishing this book I was left speechless. Seriously, I don't know what to say without spoilers but know that this will leave you a little heartbroken, if it wasn't for the epilogue in the first boom I would be really worried.

Lies, secrets, even more of them cought in a net without an escape.
Would Beth rather marry for money to give her sister the life she's never was allowed to live or would she decide to do things on her own and not play the puppet of her own story?
Every secret has its own true only the time can tell but isn't it sometimes too late when it comes to surface or will it maybe stay buried forever?
This book wa absolutely incredible ride full of emotions, fear, dreams and love and I can assure you that after this second installment I am even more hungry for more of Beth and Carter.

Between Now and Heartbreak has got me feeling some type of way. A whirlwind of emotions from beginning to end. Carter and Beth’s story continues to leave me breathless and on the edge of my seat. And with so many twists and turns I didn’t see coming.
My heart bleeds for Carter and Beth. Beth has been through so much and I hurt for her. And in so many ways Carter is broken. But even with everything they’re are so strong. Oh lord do I love these two. Individually they’re amazing, but together they’re just something entirely—they’re better. Their chemistry is just off the charts. Carter and Beth are everything and are so right for each other. They deserve every ounce of happiness and I desperately need them to have it.
I am completely consumed with Carter and Beth’s journey. Even with all the heartache I know in the end love will conquer all. Carter and Beth are meant to be and I need these beautiful souls together. I desperately need the conclusion of this incredible trilogy and desperately need Carter and Beth’s HEA.

What a roller coaster ride!
My emotion run like crazy reading this second book of the trilogy. I even have the #TortureAndKillListCharacters for this book.
And yes you guess it right if you say daddy dearest and Duke.
I'm still so angry for Beth for all these people done to her. But then Carter show up and it's like hope and sunshine and dreams all over again.
But then Dylan Allen pull all the rug under my feet with her plot. I suspect she gonna do her worst but hotdangit! It's still like a mic drop! Bom!

Between Now and Forever by Dylan Allen is book two in her Forever Trilogy. The book is not a stand alone. I strongly recommend to read the books in order.
The previous book is Between Now and Forever, the following book is Between Now and Always.
Carter and Beth's story continues. It picks up where the previous book was left off.

Holy shit did Dylan put us through the ringer with this angst fest.
BNAF left us on a huge cliffhanger.
There is such a journey for Beth and Carter as Individuals in Between Now And Heartbreak. Carter desperate to find out about his past and Beth trying to change everything for her future.
This isn’t just a love story, this is a story of two people trying desperately to find the real self within. Trying to escape the entrapment of circumstances which is out of their control. Well now they can take control, or can they! When it all hits the fan....it hits big time leaving devastation in its wake.
This second book has some serious twists and turns I didn’t not see coming, and when it arrived it hit me like a freight train....out broke the goosebumps followed by a screech of NOOOOOOOOOOO.

For these next two books, I can't really say much without giving things away. Suffice it to say, that this book gets even more involved.
Liz is trying to move on and still make her father proud but now she has a plan and with the most unexpected person.
At this point, anything sounds good...just to get Liz away from this town and her family.
But..."fate" has other plans and sets Carter back in Liz's path. This leads to some really sweet moments and things are looking good.
Unfortunately, a bombshell hits them (again) and everything is blown to smithereens. You definitely will want to have the next book ready.

I love this book! So many twists I never expected. I love Carter and Elisabeth. That last twist totally blew my mind. Talk about a book hangover. I can’t wait to see where the next book goes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK/SERIES!!

Once again we are reunited with Carter & Beth and thrown right back into their dramatic little world... it's obvious they belong together, but they have so many obstacles to overcome. They have chemistry, an easy connection, but for some reason life keeps getting in the way... which means lots of torture for the reader. This one will do a number on you, it has many emotional highs and lows that'll have you completely rattled throughout...not sure how much more these two can take! (and my heart too!) Cannot wait to see how this one unfolds, I have so many questions that need answers!

I don't even know how to write this review!!! I am so blown away by Between Forever and Heartbreak. There is so much raw emotion and such heartbreak, with sweet and oh so hot and steamy moments, throughout Beth and Carter's story. My heart still breaks for Beth....her family is truly horrible, her father a monster!! Carter is just so perfect for her, he honestly sees her for who she really is. Even though he is trying to unravel the secrets of his biological family, Beth is more important. OMG are there secrets!!! Just when it seems like they are on their way to a HEA, BAM!! Dylan Allen wrote the most epic of all twists. I swear I stopped breathing. Then I kept waiting for the "just kidding". Nope! I can't freaking wait for book 3!!!

There is nothing easy about fighting for forever amidst volatile and heartbreaking circumstances…surrounded by obstacles, both of your own making and others’ interference. And while it’s not completely impossible, powering through the pain, the fracturing of the heart and soul that occurs, as well as the emotional overload that takes a toil can be more than a little overwhelming, causing words to be said and actions to be taken that there may not be any coming back from when everything finally settles down.
And I don’t know if there are any other characters who I’ve read in quite some time who epitomize the above idea as completely as Beth and Carter. It’s most definitely an uphill battle from the very beginning for Dylan Allen’s hero and heroine in the second book of her ForeverTrilogy.
Beth and Carter’s paths have never been easy, not separately or as a couple, but that doesn’t mean that things are insurmountable…that it’s impossible to stay together…to keep fighting because if any two people deserved happiness and love, it’s them.
Forever felt impossible.
Heartbreak was inevitable.
Always would cost us everything.
But the question is…can Beth and Carter fight through the heartbreak, conquer the impossibility of forever, and weather the damage and cost of finding a way to be together always?
These questions are difficult to answer due to the number of twists their story takes as well as how book 2 ends. But I will say that I haven’t given up on them finding a way…I haven’t stopped believing that regardless of how much they struggle, how much they must endure and overcome, that they will gain the clarity and closure they both need to move forward by each other’s side.
If you’re an avid reader, like I am, of Allen’s stories, your familiar with her trademark angst and highly emotional story lines and these two facets of her writing dominate Forever and Heartbreak. Not only did she put her characters’ hearts through the ringer, but I was exhausted by the time I made it to the end because my emotions were constantly fluctuating depending on what was happening to Beth and Carter and how they handled it all. And with their final book coming soon, I’m beyond ready for fate to stop conspiring against them and finally give them what they’ve deserved from the beginning - now and always.

Ever had a book make you go crazy? Ever had a book make you rant obsessively. Ever had a book make you resort to the idea of drinking hard liquor? Haha, I might be exaggerating my craziness. Let me tell you, Between Now and Heartbreak made me lose every corner of mind; Every inch. Every morsel. What can I say? What can I write in this review that I can do justice to wonderful brilliance of Between Now and Heartbreak. Man, my heart is in ruins. My soul is obliterated. Between Now and Heartbreak is emotional art. Art, you stare in wonder at gallery. Art that pulls you in deeply. Art that stirs, twists and bends your heart and soul. The heart moving storyline. The incredible characters. Between Now and Heartbreak is EXTRAORDINARY.
My mind is still a mess. Bewilderment. Shock, Emotions. They are present in my heart. I do know if I want to curse at Dylan Allen or if I want her to give me a big hug to make the pain go away because of Between Now and Heartbreak. Still debating lol. I honestly don’t know if I can cope with a third book, because Dylan Allen is bringing all the feels with Carter and Beth’s journey of rekindling the passion between them.
All the twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting, left my heart in my throat, not knowing what is going to come next to knock me off my feet.
Such a beautiful love story, all the angst. The writing is stunning and will bring you to your knees.
