I was still grieving the loss of my mother when my dad announced he was getting married—and forgot to tell me his bride and her three sons were moving into our house.I hate my new stepbrothers.I’ve known the Demetriou brothers since we were kids. While I was the overweight, awkward girl, Ares, Apollo, and Atlas were as gorgeous as the Greek gods they were named after. They are used to women falling at their feet. But I’m not blinded by their looks and charm. So when they start flirting with me, I immediately distrust them. I know they’re trying to get closer to me to uncover a secret from the past.A secret that brought them back into my life.A secret that could destroy my family. But as these men turn my life upside down, I’m becoming addicted to how they make me feel.I just have to remember one thing…They are the enemy.
ARC Review: Quick, fun read that I was sad ended too soon!
Ophelia is our FMC who is spicy, sassy, and fun. She takes no BS from anyone and knows how to put the brothers in her place. The thing I love about her, is she is CURVY! She is curvy and smart, sexy and beautiful. She has the perfect blend of confidence and insecurities that makes her realistic. We don’t have nearly enough badass FMCs and I love that Ophelia is one of them.
Demetriou brothers, Ares and the twins Apollo and Atlas.. OH. MY GOD. These men live up to their God titles. Each one has their own thoughts, wants, desires, and flaws. I love that each one of them has their POV told, so we get to know them better. I can’t wait to learn even more about hem in the next book.
The book was fast paced and engaging. My only issue was it ended far too soon! I left like the big climax scene was cut from the book, but that just means it will be coming in the second one! I can’t wait to read it and I will be ordering the paperbacks ASAP.
Jillian Frost is one of my favorite RH writers. She knows how to craft scenes, emotions, and characters that you fall in love with. Guilded God’s is no exception!
The book was okay. I felt like nothing really happened. Ophelia likes to whip a 🔫 out all the time and threaten the guys. Atlas sketches all the time. They do a ton of wedding shopping. That’s about it.
The book would probably be about 50 pages if it weren’t for everything being repeated so. many. times.
The boys have Roman noses. Black hair. Golden eyes. So hot. Says it like 20 times. Their dad was set up by her dad. They need revenge! Says it multiple times. Constantine is an ex Seal. Says it like 5 times. The twins are empathetic. Ares is the enforcer. Apollo does the books. Atlas is just so sensitive and artsy. Keeps repeating that stuff the most. Oh and something major happened to Apollo four years ago that they keep saying over and over. Along with, how Atlas and Ares share women in front of him.
I really don’t get why everything is just constantly being repeated, as if I forgot it was mentioned 7983 times already.
This was a quick read that I enjoyed quite a bit! • Ophelia, our FMC is a strong confident woman, except when it comes to her body. As someone who suffers with body image hang ups and self esteem issues myself, I really related to Ophelia in a lot of ways! We see her growth throughout this book as she starts to see herself differently thanks to the MMCs constant assurance which I adored. Even with the enemies-to-lovers trope they continue to express how much they love Ophelia’s body and I love to see it! • Enter our MMCs; Ares, Apollo, and Atlas. Shew lord, these men are 🥵 I love getting to know each of these men and where their strengths lie, no surprise, Ares is my favorite and I’m a Sucker for the bully who loves to hate and hates to love the FMC 😏. Though, gotta love my quiet artistic boy Atlas. • The spice was good but minimal in these pages so I can’t wait to see what kind of heat we get in the next book. My fingers are crossed for some double trouble 😏. All I’m all this was a fun wolf read and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!
Gilded Gods beautifully unveils the plot, setting, and characters in Jillian Frost's latest series. Ophellia, the main character, is a relatable blend of vulnerability and strength, making her both endearing and powerful. She struggles with both her self-esteem and life circumstances, but it in no way subtracts from her strength. Jillian masterfully crafts fully fleshed characters, and the men in the harem are no exception. They're complex, bearing their own vulnerabilities and past traumas, all while exuding strength and sexuality. The spicy scenes will soak your panties 💦, and are nothing short of incredible. While this installment lacks full group scenes, based on Jillian's previous works, one can expect delicious sex scenes in upcoming sequels. Reading 'Gilded Gods' is a decision you won't regret, but prepare to find yourself revisiting it over-and-over while we await the next book.
I’m so obsessed with Jillian’s writing. This book had me hooked right from the start. FMC badass who does not take shit? Sign me up!! Ophelia is my favorite FMC out of all Jillian’s books by far. She is powerful but struggles to see herself as the beautiful strong woman she is. There were moments that chocked me up and I remembered feeling like she did. Her dynamic with her new stepbrothers. The tension and banter was amazing. The spice was a good level and knowing Jillian the next book will have even more good spice🥵. This was a short read for me and I can’t wait to read the how the story goes in the second book after the little twist!
I always love Jillian’s RH books and this one is no different!
This book introduces us to Ophelia and the Demetriou brothers - Ares and the twins Apollo and Atlas.
Ophelia is feisty and I love it! She knows how to handle herself when it comes to the brothers and everyone else. Her insecurity hits close to home for many people, me included. I really like the way that the boys address it - Ares is adorably oblivious and doesn’t even see a reason for her to be insecure. He’s definitely got scary himbo energy!
The brothers all love and lookout for each other and now they’ll be protecting Ophelia too. I’m looking forward to reading Gilded Goddess to see the rest of their story!
All I can say is I am hooked I will be buying all physical copies of this series! I read first chapter and literally couldn’t put my phone down. Ophelia is a boss b*tch, a thick queen! I love how Ares Apollo and Atlas all make her feel like the beautiful queen that she is. They all crave her but she doesn’t think they could ever want her because she is thicker than most girls. But when I tell you they love every inch of her. I love how O is so strong but also so real. This book is the definition of amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ARC REVIEW: Gilded Gods by Jillian Frost 4⭐️3🌶️ Now live!!
I loved the first part of this duet! All the nods to the Greek god/ greek mythology had me geeking out! Ophelia just got 3 new stepbrothers……. Ares, Apollo and Atlas! And are they HOT!! Ares so far is my favorite from the beginning! The mouth on that man 🥵🥵 Atlas is the artistic brother that is that silent sexy 😏 and Apollo…. Calm and controlled on the outside but he has a naughty secret 🤫 That cliffhanger though!! I can’t wait until Gilded Goddess in December to wrap up this duet! Get your copy now!
This was a great first book to the duet. I love any references to Greek mythology and this book delivers. Ophelia is the FMC, and she is a bad @ss woman, but still has insecurities that I think every woman reading this book will be able to relate to. Her dad announces his upcoming marriage at dinner, and just like that Ophelia gains 3 new stepbrothers: Ares, Atlas and Apollo. I think this author did a great job introducing the characters and their motivations to the readers. We really get a sense of who they are at their core and why they do the things they do. Can't wait for the next book
What a great start to this duet and can't wait for the next one to come out. Ophelia was told just by her father he is getting remarried, and she has 3 sons that's she knows all too well. Ophelia doesn't like the way she looks, but her new stepbrothers have other ideas of what she looks like. They can't get enough of her and are very protective of her. What will happen when secrets start coming out.
Jillian frost never disappoints! She’s the queen of writing RH. Ophelia is a character that many women can relate to in the sense that she struggles to love her body but still knows she’s a badass that can absolutely handle anything that comes her way. Her step brothers are everything you want in an RH a boxer, a finance guru, and an artist. I give this book 🌶️🌶️🌶️ spice level but you know the next book is going to bring the heat. Great character build up and has you invested in the plot, with a little twist at the end.
What an amazing read by Jillian that had me hooked. I absolutely am hooked on these characters. Ophelia, Atlas, Ares and Apollo are characters that you won’t want to forget. With one plan to take down Belen, Ophelia’s father the guys might not have the same goal anymore. With secrets revealed the guys will do anything to protect what’s theirs. I can’t wait to read what will happen next.
It's giving wattpad and the den of vipers. 😭 And it's so good, I've read it so quickly and I almost threw my phone across the room at the end. Why? Why end it so early? THIS IS CRIME! YOU SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL FOR THIS JILLIAN. Now I have to wait till December. 🤦♀️ BTW, does anybody know where can one buy Ares for themselves? *cough* asking for a friend, of course.
The writing is so choppy, character development is not done well, and the world building comes in later than it should. There is a lot of parts that are repetitive just to put a sentence together. This duology honestly should have been one book and spent more time on editing. Story line I thought was a great idea, but execution lacked severely.
Ophelia’s struggle with her body image and not believing the guys when they say shes beautiful is wholly relatable; having that representation means the world. I read through the book in one sitting because it was so fun to read!

CHARACTERS Okay. I wanted to hate them. But I didn't. Well, not entirely. Ares is a bully who is WAY too focused on vaginas. Still kinda enjoyed his domanitaing personality compared to his other brothers, particularly Atlas who just seems the SWEETEST. Ophelia isn't AMAZINGLY written, but you can tell she is a badass, and I hope she develops more across the series. Her dad is an a*hole who is a DUMB FUCK. I am suspicious of everyone.
PLOT It's believable, but the Ares sofa and bed scenes happened too quick for me personally. There is no actual RH in this book, but it's setting it up well.
NARRATIVE Clear and engaging. It's a shorter book than normal but I think I would like to continue the series...for science.
