From Survivor to Striver: How gratitude can transform you into a superhero!

Rate this book
Life isn’t like a superhero movie. There isn’t a script, and while you don’t plan for bad things to happen, they happen anyway. Sometimes, they keep on happening without a break in the action, and if you look up in the sky, you may see a bird or a plane, but that’s it. In these times of despair, it’s easy to let negative thoughts invade your mind and darken your mindset, enticing you to take actions that might hurt yourself or others.

But it doesn’t need to be that way.

Within the pages of this memoir/gratitude journal, you can learn how to see a light in the darkness and flip a negative mindset into a positive one. You can deepen your relationships with family and friends and widen your social circles. You can offer hope and inspiration to others who might be struggling themselves. Best of all, you don’t need to come from a different planet, wear a high-tech suit, or get bitten by a radioactive bug.

Imagine how powerful you would feel if you could overcome virtually any situation with the power of your mindset and make the world a better place for others at the same time. You would be the hero your community deserves and needs.

The tights and cape are optional.

Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2023 Chris DT Gordon is da bomb ! This book is a must-read for anyone who has hit a hard bump in the road of life and needs some inspiration. He recounts the day his life changed forever, the struggles in his lengthy recovery from necrotizing fasciitis, and rising above it all. Along the way he adjusted to his "new normal" and learned to "pass on perfection and go for greatness." Chris also found a new calling by becoming a motivational speaker, sharing his story with the masses and encouraging people to be a greater version of themselves. Chris is an all-around awesome dude with a really cool podcast.
