This is a wonderful book, inspiring, powerful, and clear. Martella-Whitsett and Morency have written a beautiful guide filled with practical and articulate ways to better understand the process and practice of prayer. With detailed examples and clear explanations and suggestions, this is a valuable resource for use in growing your own prayer practice, as well as becoming better able to support others in prayer.

Unity has always had an affirmative approach to prayer. This book clarifies so many aspects of affirmative prayer. The concept of denial and affirmation is expanded to include the process. It is now referred to as affirmation and negation. Also, the prayer process is a flow rather than steps, as explained in this book. The authors are amazing and passionate about the concept of prayer for changing one's perspective on every circumstance. They teach us how to use prayer in our own lives. They teach us how to pray with others.

Even though I read this book, I will be using this book to teach Affirmative Prayer Workshops. This book is a tool for coping with life's challenges differently.
