A True Love Spell Gone Wrong.A Demon Fairy Godmother? Her Very Soul on the Line. Can Clover still find true love or is she destined to face the flames alone?Content Corny is a paranormal romance that involves woman on stuffed animal action. This story is very weird and not for everyone.
I genuinely don't even know what to say... It's weird but it's not the weirdest thing I've read? & I'm honestly invested enough to continue the series lol
Corny follows Clover and her friends, who accidentally summon a demon that now inhabits the candy corn hooker stuffy Clover crocheted. The plan was just to do a simple spell taken from one of the books they found in the old trunk Fern had purchased at a yard sale, in the hopes that it would help them all get laid.
When nothing happens, the group thinks it's a bust, until Clover wakes up in the middle of the night to the candy corn stuffy hitting on her. Clover soon learns from the funny, snarky, coffee drinking candy corn demon that she and her friends have entered into a binding contracted with the devil. Each of them have been assigned a demon to 'help' them find true love, and Clover must crochet each demon a body to inhabit.
Clover eventually goes on dates that never quite work out, has lots of filthy sex dreams with the real Candy (and a self pleasuring candy corn ride or two 👀), and soon realizes she might just be attracted to the demon she has a weird relationship with.
She was a hot demon who am I to judge? Gotta let her bejeweled in that tiny little candy corn body.
I will be reading the rest of the series thank you very much it was charmingly good and chaotic. Honestly it’s less weird than you’d think and I’m fully behind it.
Corny started slow for me, and I put it down around the 21% mark, but once I picked it back up after a long hiatus, I read the rest in one sitting and enjoyed it. It’s not perfect and could’ve used more editing and hashing out, but for a short read monster romance (can you call this monster romance?) it was pretty good. Definitely one of the more creative monster romances I’ve read. The premise isn’t unique—a woman casting a spell to find her true love and summing a demon instead (I’ve seen this trope a lot), but the demon being stuck in a crocheted candy corn is fantastic. All of the awkwardness between our FMC and her demon Candy is adorable and the spice that ensues is enjoyable and interesting. Overall, while it probably isn’t a typical 5 star read for me or most people, I liked it enough that I’ve already downloaded the sequel, so 5 stars it is.
Just some friends going through a dry spell and using a random spell in an old spell book to conjure up some dick. Oh and one of them crochets using a hook found in this old trunk and makes adult crochet patterns and stuff for a living. She crochets a slutty candy corn and it gets possessed by a demon. (Stick with me here, you’re confused… I’m confused… it’s a thing) Slutty corn is a succubus so lust feeds her. There’s some weird twilight dream sequences and dream sex. I zoned out what happened at this point but they do it somehow and then fall in love at some point. Weird and sweet in it’s own twisted way. Oh yeah she gave the candy corn hooker boots and giant boobies.
Four women (who all just so happen to also be named after plants) find a spell book and decide to cast one that cures their collective romantic dry spell.
Only after do they realize that they’ve made a deal with the devil requiring them to find their soulmates within a year’s time or else their souls are taken by Lucifer himself. For assistance on this journey, however, the women have each been assigned a demon of lust.
We begin the series here with Clover and her assigned succubus that is magically confined to a crocheted candy corn hooker plushie that is a whopping two feet tall and goes by the name Candy.
And Candy is very horny all of the time.
Honestly? Not a bad start to the series though I would’ve liked more romance between Clover and Candy instead of just lust and banter.
Silly little Halloween read. I’m not obsessed with it but it wasn’t bad by any means. I kind of wish there was more smut in it??? The demon woman seems really hot and I wish there was more smut with her in her irl demon form. But overall it was well written and I came to enjoy the characters. I will probably read the others if they happen to be on sale or free in a future sykd like this one was.
I didn’t think smut with a crochet slutty candy corn was what I needed, but it absolutely is. This was great! Magic gone wrong, but kind of right results in a succubus being summoned and trapped in a crochet candy corn hooker. Candy, the succubus, is tasked with helping Clover find her true love. I’m so excited to read future books in this series!
- So our star of the show is a crotchet candy corn with a huge rack and bbl possessed by a sex demon who was sent be Thee Satan - I need a lip sync battle between Annabelle and the sex demon candy corn - This girl is tossing her own salad with the utilization of tumblr gifs… alert the authorities - Andddd the candy corn is getting off to that - Ngl this is lowkey boring despite the demon-possessed crochet hooker candy corn being - Sex dream sex - Anddddd the girl is shoving the possessed doll up her vagine - IG do what you gotta do sis - And now she’s denying the feelings for the doll smdh Good Luck Babe™️ - Is this story symbolic of the fear of coming out? Ok bars - You know like in spy movies where the tech person gears up the MC before a mission? Replace the tech person with a demon-possessed crochet hooker candy corn being and replace the gear with a box of sex toys and you have this book - Ok this ending is sweet (pun intended)
I've read lots of weird stuff so this isn't too far off for me lol. I was intrigued when a friend suggested this to me and thought "what the hell, I'll check it out."
Clover and her friends accidentally summon a demon that is in the form of a crocheted candy corn stuffy. They all wanted to get laid and thought performing this spell from an old book they found at a yard sale would be a great idea. Hmm okay. lol
This Candy Corn stuffy is a succubus demon that infiltrates her dreams and every moment she is around her. It's definitely humorous but there was too much arguing and silly talk and not enough smut imo. Will I read the rest of the series? Maybe.
This was a nice little palate cleanser in between other stories I've been reading. If you like weird shit then I recommend reading this for sure. Just don't expect a whole lot of steamy scenes in this one.
Clover and her friends are experiencing a long dry spell, so they do a ritual to summon their one true love. It seemingly backfires until Clover wakes up the next day and finds her candy corn stuffie possessed by a succubus there to help her find her love or reap her soul for Lucifer.
For a book about a candy corn stuffie dressed like a hooker, this story was surprisingly charming. I enjoyed the interactions that Clover had with Candy and her absolute freak out about having a succubus possessing her candy corn was extremely relatable.
I did want to see a little more spice. There's so little F/F in the market, and I wanted to see as much spice here as there is in a lot of the M/F stories. What spice there was in the story was fun to read, though, and Candy is hot!
This was silly and fun, and I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series!
A sapphic romance between a candy corn stuffy that is now possessed by a demon and the woman who never asked for it.
Well, she kind of did ask for it, but just not in the way you think.
You'd think after all of this time people would stop playing with things that are ancient and look like a demon could be possessing them, but then again. I would probably do the same. Yes, I am that white.
Moving right along...
Candy the candy corn possessed demon with the mouth of a sailor has her eyes set on the deliciously thick Clover and while she is supposed to be helping her find her "true love" there is nothing that says she can't have a taste.
What follows is hilarious, chaotic and kind of on point with the Halloween season. As a crocheter I am tempted to never crochet a candy corn ever again, but another part of me wants to give it a go especially if I get my own Candy out of it.
At a yard sale, you and your friends find an old trunk with spell books and additional materials like crochet hooks, which you decide to use for a ritual from that book to attract partners into your lives, but end up summoning a demon instead. Our FMC starts crocheting a candy corn but with boobs and a huge booty and a sexy and tinny bikini, which ends up turning into a succubus. Who would have thought that now you're being chased by a stuffed crochet candy corn hooker? The story is quite hilarious, I must say, it has spice, especially feeling cozy at some moments. I loved Candy so much; her character is hilarious yet sexy, a whole character. I really can't wait to read the rest of the series to see how things go for the friends, but Corny was a great start.
Picked this up during the SYKD: Monster edition. Figured why not read it rn it’s a very short read and it’ll boost my page stats. It’s definitely not worth the read. Obviously the purpose of this book isn’t to be a work of art even tho the crochet thing was interesting. I’ve read more novellas w depth that focused on spice.
The demon is a black woman..fine but Lucifer is a black man and then her human form made her a white woman this was just the biggest turn off.
This was cute, quirky, spicy... funny when you picture the FMC bantering with a stuffed cardy corn. 🤭 It was a fun quick read ... it's part of a series so there's more stuffed animal hanky-panky.
How we ended up here I’ll never know. I enjoyed this more than I should have. Will continue to read the rest of them because inquiring minds need to know. 👀
So we found this book and my friend dared me to read it as it sounded...well, out there.
And it is out there. Don't get me wrong.
But it was...surprisingly good? I mean, still completely out there and had a few little twists that I wasn't expecting but a good little read.
But what got me the most was that 1. the author was able to actually flesh out a well-written character in just a few pages AND 2. it didn't read like a weird smutty book. It actually had a good (and funny) storyline.
3.5 rounded up for Goodreads. It was a fun buddy read to do with a group of friends, though the ending seemed a bit rushed. Entirely possible that it needed to be that way to keep it a certain length, tho!!
We are on a kick reading these inanimate object romances live on Tiktok so we will probably end up reading the rest eventually 🤣
I also will never look at candy corn the same way again. Thanks for that, Sabrina 😝
