This is the first book in the Wolf Valley Series but can be read as a standalone.

Chase Storm, our grumpy yet irresistible MMC, flees his Florida hometown after discovering that his ex-wife has been cheating on him—with none other than his best friend. Heartbroken and betrayed, he relocates to the small town of Wolf Valley, where he runs Storm Automotive. Hardened by past mistakes, Chase swears off relationships, convinced that women are nothing but trouble—until a fiery force of nature crashes into his life, proving that fate has other plans.

Winnie, our strong yet emotionally battered FMC, embarks on a much-needed girls' trip with her best friend, hoping to escape the pain of her recent heartbreak. Life has thrown her more than her fair share of tragedy, leaving her grief-stricken and guarded. Men are the last thing on her mind—until fate (and a broken-down truck) lead her straight to Storm Automotive. With her most cherished possession, her late father’s truck, in desperate need of repairs, Winnie finds herself face-to-face with Chase, and sparks begin to fly.

As Winnie battles her past and Chase wrestles with his demons, the two find solace in each other. Through candid conversations and undeniable chemistry, they navigate their pain together, discovering a love neither of them expected—but one they both desperately need.

Overall, this book was a quick, enjoyable read and a refreshing palate cleanser from the darker romances I typically indulge in. The pacing was steady—not dragging on endlessly, but also not feeling rushed. There was just enough drama to keep me engaged, and while there was spice, it wasn’t overly intense. If you’re looking for something ultra-steamy, this might not be the book for you, as the spice doesn’t really kick in until about 70% of the way through. However, the characters made the journey worthwhile. Chase, despite his gruff exterior, was an absolute sweetheart, and I found myself rooting for both him and Winnie.

I’ll definitely be picking up the second book in the series. If you're in the mood for a romance with just the right amount of drama, a touch of spice, and two characters who truly deserve their happily ever after, I’d recommend giving this one a shot!

I flew through this! It only took two to three hours for me to read and it leaves you with those warm cozy feelings. Perfect little read to make you feel like soulmates exist and maybe just maybe fate might work in your favor! It was such a well written cozy story and I cannot wait to read more!

Chase and Winnie have each been burned by people they loved. Broken and swearing the opposite sex is nothing but trouble they come to find blessings can come from the ashes.

A girls trip with a broken down truck leaves Winnie in despair needing a mechanic and a whole lot of luck to turn things around. But what’s a good friend for if not to help you pick up your broken pieces and push you to live again…

Chase was just fine on his own, or would be just as soon as he could forget about everything he left behind, or so he thought until he crashed into a short tempered woman one day. A woman with lips he couldn’t help but want to kiss and for some reason he liked watching her chew him out.

Star Rating: 3.75 so bumping this up to 4⭐️ on here

I loved this book way more than I had anticipated. So much so that I am jumping into book 2 immediately. I really enjoyed the romance between Chase and Winnie. I loved the small town. I also loved the friendship between their besties: Chase and Max/Winnie and Hannah.

I truly love lifetime and hallmark romance movies and that’s what this was giving but in book form. Very cozy and comforting. Not too spicy and the characters really grew on me. Both characters had sworn off love but found each other in the process. So beautiful 😍

I really enjoyed Taylor’s Writing. This book would be great for a palette cleanser and something super quick. It also set up the series really nicely. I was truly pleasantly surprised with this one considering the mixed reviews. However I am extremely happy that I went into this one anyways. This is a great example of reading for yourself rather than going off of other people’s reviews.

This was almost a 5 star read until the stupid argument happened near the end, which ruined it for me.

Chase is a grumpy, yet irresistible man who is still coming to terms with losing his ex-wife and best friend due to an affair. Winnie is grieving and has just been dumped by an awful man. She's angry at the world.

Both MC's have their own secret issues, but Winnie was annoying. In the beginning, i really felt for her, but she went borderline psychotic at the drop of a hat. They finally got to a point of understanding until she went and found a letter, instead of reading it all, she picked out key words and went scatty again (for the last quarter of the book). Even when Chase explained the context, she still wouldn't get rid of the woe is me act. I get it. She's traumatised, but come on, it was stupid, so easily avoided, and a completely unnecessary reaction.

When her truck breaks down, Winnie is forced to ask hot mechanic Chase for help. The attraction between them is instant but Winnie has sworn off men- she hates them!- and Chase has sworn off women. But will they give into their attraction and give love another chance?

This is a cute, sweet, small town romance. It’s really short so a nice quick read and you can’t help but want these two to get together and live happily ever after from the moment they meet.

I flew through this cozy read in just a couple of hours! Chase and Winnie both have pasts that have left them wary of love, but their chemistry is undeniable. After a rough girls' trip goes awry, Winnie finds herself needing help from Chase, and fate brings them together in the most heartwarming way. The story beautifully captures the idea that blessings can emerge from brokenness. I can't wait to dive into the next book!

I am so surprised there isn’t more written reviews in here for this book. It is well deserving of 5 stars. I was hooked from beginning to end. Chase is such a stellar MC and my heart was aching for Winnie. Men really can be such assholes but it doesn’t mean that they all are. I absolutely adore Chase and Winnie’s story and thrilled they got their second chance.

Great book

The ending could have been more detailed but it was
a good story . Story of a girl who was cheated on and she swears off men only to fine the right one when she least expected it.

Felt like there could have been more to the story but it was really good storyline a nice classic slow burn romance, a few moments had my jaw on the floor, was definitely not ready for some parts, hopefully the rest of the books to this series is just as good or maybe a little bit more
