Malton's work strikes the perfect balance of not too much information and everything readers need to get the facts of each case. In just a few pages she not only provides the details, but the human damage each murder wreaks. Victims are not paper dolls, two dimensional puppets to a killer's machinations. People are lost and those who loved them lose a piece of their heart. Malton makes sure that loss is not forgotten.
Wow, that was a marathon of a book to read. Well written and covers a wide span of time. Still makes me ask why do people believe they have the right to harm others often for the flimsiest of excuses. It’s a question that baffles me.
