Can’t wait for the next book to come out! Enjoyed the set-up of all of the varied real and imagined characters - including Jesus himself - who teach + guide Esteban across his youth and early adulthood, and look forward to see who he follows most as we get into his priesthood!

This one is the first book of the series ; which revolves mainly around our protagonist 'Esteban Ferrari ' . From a very tender age Esteban learned that his childhood won't be jolly as others . Because of the difference in the mindset of his parents Esteban always suffered from which side he should take. Life goes on with the domestic issues at home. Esteban being a true fella always seeks for truth and honesty and his such characteristics leads him towards a different journey altogether.

He may not be the brightest but he is one of us .

The portrayal of 'Jesus ' who always stood by Esteban gives a clear picture of the book . The author never directly points out that he is a real character or the inner self of Esteban who in tough times offers hand in the name of Jesus .

What makes the books difficult the Spanish words in between and a long list of characters.

This the story of Esteban , a poor kid born in a tumultuous family and always striving for love and care. The book consists story of his father's childhood and also reveals certain things about his friends and famiy. How does a teenage date leads him to his journey of self realization. The way he manages to tackle his mental traumas and gain his intellectual stability. As you will read the story you will find yourself relating to the character.


Author skillfully narrates the Esteban's journey from striving for love to becoming a young seminarian and attaining spiritual enlightenment. According to my point of view this book is book is best for all age groups. It is a short read and you can scrutinize it at a time. And I can ensure every one of you will be trapped to it.


Storytelling is an art from that takes a lot of and I noticed it in this book as well. This was a nice read because of the smooth narration and realistic characterization. This is detailed review of book Esteban, written by author Fish Nealman. The very first thought that came to my mind when I picked up this boom for read was I thought this book to be a spy hunting action book because the cover was something like that. But u was totally wrong. This story revolves around Esteban Ferrari or Ban Ban Ferrari. He was son of Mother Isabella and father Stephen Ferrari. Stephan was always involved in miscreant activities so he left his house and met Isabella. But later on he was not too happy with her,so he stopped giving attention to domestic issues. Thats why isabella was the one who took care of their son Esteban and gave him good teachings. She wanted him to be a priest but his father wanted him to be businessman like him. So which life will Esteban choose in future? You will find out only if you read this book. Later on Esteban met one more important character Jesus who always speaks truth. Book language is not easy,and include many spanish words.so readers will find difficulty in grasping spanish. Book have some lust and humor elements which make the read interesting. So overall I really liked this unique type story book and this book also highlight bright side of Christianity. So readers will enjoy this read.

Esteban is born to parents with differing views of who they are, what his name should be and who he should become when he grows up. His father wants him to be a "man," and his mother wants him to be compassionate. In the end, Esteban decides for himself and chooses the priesthood. But he struggles with school and receives a low-grade assignment. Fortunately, he has Jesus to talk to as he navigates his chosen path.
While the premise of this book is interesting, it features more telling than showing. I felt myself looking at the action and characters from the outside rather than feeling like part of the story. The flow is also choppy in places. I do want to read more books in the series, though, to see how Esteban grows and what happens to him. I recently read this book and found it to be an enthralling read. The author has made sure to keep you intrigued till the end with his amazing storyline and brilliant characters.

The narrative revolves around the character of Esteban, who feels that he isn't loved by his family and friends. This realisation hits him hard. But, as it is said that you find great lessons during your hard times. This tough time faced by him becomes a big turning point in his life and takes him through a journey of self realisation and great achievements in his life.
